it's been a busy day good night dream about Disneyland Paris

huh where am I

hey sleepyhead wake up we have to show to people the Disneyland hotel

come on get out of bed

hey guys sorry buddy sleep in

but it's really a dream come

true to walk inside the Disneyland Hotel and to be that person at the reception

checking in and to stay in a Disneyland hotel room here you can stay at some

epic rooms okay you make me curious for example one of the smaller suites is

to Tinkerbell suite it's got a living area and a separate bedroom

the Tinkerbell suite is decorated in the same style as the Disneyland Hotel but

it's got some Tinkerbell details like illustrations on the wall the view is

impressive as you are looking over the back side of the Disneyland Hotel and

you can watch all the guests entering the Disneyland Park okay that sounds

pretty good but tell me about the most exclusive hotel room here in a distant

land hotel the most spectacular suite in addition an hotel is the Sleeping Beauty

suite you have the best feel possible of the Disneyland Park there's a giant

dining table in the room an enormous spacious living area with a grand piano

and in the bathroom you will find a whirlpool that sounds amazing I can't

imagine that you would answer either the giant ironing table yeah but it's not

water stained we're staying in the hotel room fortunately there is no reason for

disappointments because we are sleeping in the Disneyland Hotel and that is

amazing by itself in addition to a spacious bathroom with TV and a bathroom

with bath we would like to show you some other

stuff that's in this room small interruption you tour you are about to

see from our first dismantle tail room the

reason why we changed rooms is also gonna be explained there is this cabinet

with a television the Nespresso machine a kettle and some drawers they gave us

four for free and if you would like to use more you can buy them in the minibar

ropes and even some slippers our view isn't really spectacular to be honest

but who cares we will close those curtains and we won't see anything what

is cool is that we are near train station and this is the parking space of

the Disneyland Hotel we are going to take a look at the bathroom the curtain

of the bathroom is also a little bit different than what we're used to

is this really a shower curtain it's very confusing it feels like normal

fabric but this part is a shower curtain so okay but it suits the theming well

the theming of Fantasia but also love about the bathroom is that

they've got the deluxe spa bottles what I absolutely like about this bathroom is

that they've got a very nice mirror with depict the seven drawers and snow/ice

you want to use the toilet well this button over here is very

important because it's your volume of the television now

you can have a party on a toilet who you up volume down for you up and if you

would like to eat something on your toilet or you'll have a emergency you

can also cool the reception if there's room service do you also deliver things

when I'm on the toilet we didn't have breakfast yet well let's see what the

breakfast is all about breakfasted at california grill oh my gosh

nice oh we've got fresh juice apple juice

Wow these are way bigger than any other hotels lovely

I'm gonna get me some of these nice these ones and we can boil our own eggs

then you have to wait here for at least three minutes

I chose love and stuff my play fish I mean how can I eat this in the morning I

don't know pancake lady's butter cheese find it up

the orange one is the one that that we're going for so four minutes a

long time to go still yeah I don't know if I have to wait here or I could just

walk around and come back Matt Alanis I didn't know that was a possibility white

beans in tomato sauce fried mushrooms

sausages bacon three boil eggs and scrambled eggs

what am I doing with this one this looks like carefully okay for breakfast wow

this is yeah cool

looks like mine kind of breakfast and on the other side of the a general

arrangement of different preserves and some tea and Nutella or on your crisp

I got Versailles croissant and with strawberry jam and butter of course your

royal de they've all the service huh I got a some kind of pecan tarts and

yeah thank you the pancakes so nice so spent how was my

boiled egg well you had it set for four minutes

it said that they should be medium at that time and meeting at that one I left

him for six seven minutes and it's

Ronnie Ronnie Ronnie me on the other hand I've got the pre boiled egg and it

wanted some perfect it looks like this this on the inside but also like it's so

that's strange kept with Nutella the cornerstone of any

nutritious breakfast at least here in dissonant Paris that's how I drink it at

home as well I feel at home I think I will never leave cuz

driving on to the Disneyland Hotel property is the same as any other

distant hotel but then you get to the main entrance here behind me and then

it's a little bit different normally you would drive straight to the parking and

park your car and go ahead with your own business but this looked like valet

parking and we didn't end up using it because yeah we were so flabbergasted we

totally forgot about belly parking what we should have done was park our car in

front of the reception ask one of the cast members for valet parking give them

our key and let them park our car yes they can also get your luggage and bring

it to your room we've done it all ourselves so that was

a little bit silly now we know what to do for the next time we'll be here next

time of course there will be next time guys we wanted to show you the swimming

pool away in the gardens of the Disneyland Hotel we really wants to show

you the swimming pool but it's a bit awkward to go inside and sit and film

everybody who is swimming over there but we are here in the early morning and

nobody is using the swimming pool I do think it's closed right now so we can

film from outside have a sneak peek so as you can see there is a jacuzzi there

are some beds where you can just lay down or relax and the swimming pool

isn't that's so big I think if the entire hotel would like to use this

swimming pool at once I don't think you can swim anywhere you would feel like a

sardine in a family the corporate house from Fantasia movie are guarding the

entrance to distance pool and health club but there's more than just a

swimming pool and a spa there's even an arcade the Med headers

gave arcade well it's probably a bit crazy over here you know the name of

this game yeah this is arrow key but in the Beckman Femi

what's this for a giant beast Typhon a racing game looks a bit like Star Wars

I want to go pod racing and here's a Mario card again pretty nice

yes and over here we've got some things for Wickham all yeah what how much is it

it's one token you have sent um where do we get the token oh here here's the

token machine so let's see 2 euros is one token so you don't want to play one

game you have to pay 2 euros we don't have any cash shall we can't try it okay

let's see what else they've got hit the creepy clowns in the back native

american clowns in different colors different colors well they look very

creepy then over here it's also typical American games and it's yeah I suppose

different ski ski boat

this is also a workable kind of game yeah push the button

I'm gonna do that this luckily for us we don't have we don't carry any cash at

the moment I'm very lucky because I would lose definitely no let's go I'm

gonna find understand fear in death this hotel Wow I see a nursery with the

fleece in the window display and here are the mini club there is a giant hippo

infants ASEA movie welcoming you to each other can be hidden soothing music to

get you know right your spa treatments so if you are looking for a very

relaxing treatment these are the prices for everything they offer

are you going to use all these extras now of course not you will be out in the

park and the Disneyland Hotel is perfect for it because there's no security when

you want to enter the park that's because technically you are

already in the park leave in your room go to the exit of the hotel all you need

to do is go through the Disney impart gate and you're in oh man it's finally

happening so we're not gonna take that exit no no way we don't even have to

take the car to drive to a hotel or walk all the way through Disney village to

Sequoia lodge or Newport Bay Cheyenne or something fee no no we are staying here

well somewhere up here and probably way over there yeah in the outer we won't

stay at one of the Suites with a view on the console devices I'm happy

nevertheless she'll be staying in the pink hotel yeah brink Hotel Banco del at

this moment we are in our second hotel room here in a Disneyland Hotel yes the

second because we could hear every train and every announcement that was shouted

out over the platform in the first place we asked for a quiet room and so we went

down to the reception and we got another room and the other wing so we're now in

the West Wing overlooking the front of the Disneyland Hotel with the fountains

but also here there was a small problem with the sinks the water wouldn't drain

so this morning we left a note for housekeeping that the drains were blocks

and well we came back after a long day in parks and guess what it's fixed

yes oh that's nice but nothing to mates asked if we want to have turndown

service and we said yes no idea turns out

surface is actually liked by damn well here's the results so what they actually

did was rearranged pillows and opened up the duvet and left a chocolate and the

well wishes for a good night opposite of the restaurants that are in the center

of the Disneyland Hotel is cafe Fantasia you probably know this cafe from many of

our videos because it's our lifesaver cold weather coffee at Cafe Fantasia

grumpy and hungry cafe Fantasia late night drink cafe Fantasia and because

cafe Fantasia is very close to the inventions which is a character dining

experience it's very common you run into some Disney characters so so they're on

their way to California grill we almost forgot to show you this beautiful shop

here in addition that hotel yeah oh we've been here before so if you know

our videos you know that so we're getting our stuff from yesterday we left

some in the dish lands park and we're going to pick it up now in our you know

how to tell here comes

if you're staying in in Disney and hotel you can shop in the parks and have it

delivered to your hotel and this caught our attention we thought it was really

funny the helmets of boa Fez in glitter jam-packed really with gems and bullet

hole and I said I think at least a dent and yeah it's awesome

it's really cool yeah and it's about 7,000 euros well guys this was the end

Discount Travel Websites Sued For Allegedly Jacking Up Hotel Prices - Duration: 7:58.

Travel sites like expedia.com, hotels.com, and all of the other ones out there right

now are becoming hugely popular with consumers.

They advertise themselves as these kinds of sites that can go out there and find you the

best possible rate for your hotel room, for your vacation, for business, whatever it is,

they're going to help you book the hotel, take care of everything.

You're good to go and hey, you're probably going to pay a little less if you use us but

according to a new lawsuit that may not actually be what's happening.

And joining me now to talk about this is Scott Hardy from topclassactions.com.

Scott, tell us this, this lawsuit that's happening right now against these travel sites, the

third party travel sites, specifically this website reservations.com.

What exactly is it alleged that they are doing to consumers here in the United States?

So this is an especially tricky, you know, I don't want to say scheme yet because we

don't know.

It hasn't been found illegal, but what they did, and we've seen a lot of companies in

the past.

I personally remember one years and years before I was ever Scott Hardy and Top Class

Actions where a company that I know about added a fee and what a lot of these companies

do is they add a fee and it's something that's small, you know, two, three, four or $5 and

they put it within the same section of the bill as all the taxes and any additional fees

that, you know in this case the hotel would charge.

So you think it's just something I have to pay.

This is something that, you know, I've got no choice.

It's probably a tax.

When in fact it may have been put there just to pad the profits by quite literally millions

of dollars for a fee that does nothing except put money into the pockets of reservations.com.

And they did this in such a way where they were looking at up to $14.99 per room as a

service fee.

But it was being tacked into all the other service fees that the hotel's legitimately

charge.

Because as you know, you go to a hotel now, you might be charged for Wifi, you might be

charged for using the gym, using the pool, and so now a lot of the hotels just bundle

all those fees up into a $5, $10, $20 a day service fee to use their facilities in their

wifi instead of charging it separately.

Well, it looks like this, this fee might've been bundled in along with those fees and

if that's the case then you know that's not at all transparent and people are thinking

that they're paying things with the hotel when in fact that money is going straight

to reservations.com.

And as someone who was looked over hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds if

not thousands of class actions for these types of tricky fees.

This is super tricky.

I was very surprised and frankly impressed by the ingenuity of the executives who thought

about how to slide this fee in there so people wouldn't catch it.

But guess what?

There are a lot of lawyers out there who will sit there and pour through invoices and then

you've got, thank God we've got amazing viewers and great people out there who look at their

bills.

People aren't just sitting there paying their bills and ignoring anything they don't like

anymore, now they're pouring through these bills and asking questions saying what is

this fee?

And that's how we have a class action against reservations.com.

And you know, some people may think that it's, you know, a small thing because I think one

of the things we're looking at here, you know, $14.99 per room fee from reservations.com.

I think that was kind of the typical.

So maybe $15.

But if this site saved you $30 per night on your hotel room, so what's the big deal?

A $15 fee here and there.

Well listen, if reservations.com or any of these other sites, if they want to just charge

you a fee, but ultimately you're saving money, then charge the fee, but be upfront about

it.

Don't try to hide it.

Don't try to scam the hotel or the other, you know, independent booking sites.

Just say if you use us, there's a $15 fee but you're saving $80 so you still come out

ahead, but we also have to make money.

Understandable, right?

I mean that seems pretty clear cut, but they're not doing that.

Instead they're saying, listen, we're going to try to trick people.

We're going to wrap this up into the taxes and fees.

It's just going to say, you know, fee.

They may not know what this is.

And as you pointed out, they may think, oh this is part of the, the Wifi and gym and

pool services or whatever else it is.

A room cleaning fee and that's where, that's where the problems come in.

They could have completely avoided any of this just by saying upfront to people, hey,

just so you know, there's a $15 fee per room that you book when you use us, but to save

money in the long run so you're doing better going through us anyway.

Right?

Right.

Exactly.

And that's the thing is reservations.com is a well respected travel website.

A lot of people go on that website to get great deals on their rooms and as you said,

if they just called this out and said, hey guys, we charge $15 a day fee because we save

you so much money, wouldn't be a big deal.

It wouldn't be a class action, there'll be no lawsuit filed.

But the, the issue comes when you try to bury this fee into all the other fees that you

get charged when you're paying for your room.

That's, that's the problem.

And that's why it could be a potentially illegal fee and you know, they, they might continue

charging this fee.

If people are saving all the money that, you know, the very well think they are reservations.com,

they can continue charge this fee but they just have to call it out.

And as you said, people are happy to pay it when they know they're saving $80, $100 a

night on a hotel room.

Heck, I'm happy to pay the $15 to, so you can pay your rent, but just tell me about

it.

Don't try to be sly and sneak it under the table.

So I don't know, I'm paying it.

You know, I want to give people a little bit of a tip here.

This, this is what I do.

When I'm going to go book a hotel, you know, say we want to go down to Orlando or something

as a family for the weekend.

I'll use a site like Expedia or Trivago or something, type in the days, whatever, and

get the names of all the hotels there and look at their prices and then take that hotel

name, go to their actual website and see if it's actually a discount.

And just from my personal experience, usually not.

In fact, I honestly can't tell you an instance where I've said, oh wow, it's actually cheaper

going through one of these websites.

So I use these websites not for booking.

I use them as research to actually just find out what hotels are in the area and then I

end up going through the hotel itself and booking my room.

That way if you call and talk to people, you can often get an even better deal than what

you can find online.

But it's all about choice.

If it's easier for you to use an Expedia, use the Expedia.

If you have that APP, you know, obviously that can be hugely beneficial.

There's no real right or wrong way to do it.

It's just about consumers doing what they feel is best and hopefully not getting scammed

by some of these companies.

Presidents use the world-famous Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore

as well as children travelling with their parents.

At Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, we focus strongly on families.

So, to build a 360° family experience, we actually incorporated this outdoor playground.

In addition to our family rooms, we have an indoor playground,

but having the outdoor playground completes the whole experience,

And we are definitely seeing more families travelling together in the hotel.
