First day in our Chritmas holidays

We start our travel in United State, this time in Boston

A city which is is quite north

And we'll spend here 5 days in which we'll visit the historical center

And also we'll take the advantage for visit Harvard, one of the most important university in the world

Today we're going to do a route which is called Freedom Trail

that runs the most important part of the historical city center

We just left our host's house. One more time I've used Couchsurfing to find accomodation

Definilety, I recommend this option because you can learn a lot of the culture of the country that you visit

We're walking through the neighborhood

and it's the typical neighborhood that appear in American movies

You're already looking at it in the background, that's awesome

We have been walking a long time

We have already visited the center

It's very nice, really, but it's quite cold.

Well, now it's not bad

And it's easy to see where the Freedom Trail goes

Because it's painted on the floor, do you see it?

And it's a path that takes you through all the important sites in Boston

So, you know, if you visit Boston, follow the line

and you will see everything important

It is quite curious that here

in the crosswalk you have buttons like in many parts of the world

but here they have buttons with sound, look

It say wait, wait

And when it turns green, it warns you to cross

Second day that we do a walk in Boston

We're in Harvard University

The first day I didn't record a lot because each time I took out the camera

It was counted seconds until my hands were freezing

so I didn't have the possibility to do videos

But today being cloudy and raining the temperature is higher, we are at 6 degrees

And we are going to see Harvard University and then we will go to eat here near

31th October, 31th October no!

31th December 2018

Today is New Year Eve

It's 11 here

And we are in the way to Time Square because I've seen on the Internet that you have to arrive early

it will be crowd and we want to have a good place to enjoy the show

so let's see how far we can go

After that, a long wait of 13 hours awaits us

Anyway, we bring food

We don't have liquids

Well, we have few liquids because we can't move from the place and we can't go to the toilet

We hope not to die from dehydration

Although it isn't very hot, it is cold. We will be about 8 degrees

It's starting to be crowd, there are policemen everywhere

Let's see how far we go

At the moment, we have managed to get quite, quite close

Now it seems that there is a queue to be able to enter inside

Our goal is to be over there

She is happy because they allowed her bagpack

You can't enter with big backpacks so I had to throw away my big backpack

but at least they've let me keep the little one, the one with the camera

And you have to buy another one now

I have to buy a backpack because otherwise I don't have space

to bring all things back to Spain

So, we've already sat here on the floor

And wait

What time is it?

It's...

Almost 1, so we have 11 hours left

10 hours left and it has started to rain

Everyone has put on their raincoats

We don't have raincoats, just an umbrella

10 hours left

Here

Yes, and the rain was responsible for not having more videos

because it didn't stop raining since those 10 hours that were left

until the midnight that you are watching on the screen

We end up soaked to the core

but it was worth it for these seconds that you are seeing

You are attending what is for me one of the best moments of my channel and my life

Here I stop the sound of the video because if not they censure it because It have copyright

And now they put the song of Frank Sinatra, New York, New York

It's worth to see it in original version, so I uploaded it to Facebook

Here below I will leave the link in case you want to see it

If not, here I leave you with a song that I have taken from the Internet without copyright

Good morning!

We start a new day and today we go to the Statue of Liberty

We've got up early

After spent 13 hours in Time Square the other day

We rested yesterday and today we pick up the trip

And we started seeing the Statue of Liberty

We have almost finished our day

Let's go now to One World Trade Center

which is the building that is built where the twin towers were before

that were destroyed in the 2001 bombing

We're in Washington

We've come here, we're going to spend two days here

And we're going to visit what we have here, Washington downtown

We are going to start at the capitol with a tour that we booked a long time ago

Right here behind we just left the bus station

And here in front

We already have the capitol

We are going to enter the air and space museum

It is the Mecca of Irreverence

We have finished the visit to the Capitol

We haven't been able to see either the congress or the Senate

They had a congress and it was closed so we couldn't get in

but if we have seen the capitol with the main hall that has

and then the crypt

And now let's go, as I said, to the Air and Space Museum

what is this that I have here

We are not going to enter the museum

We continue our visit in New York

I'm in the High Line right now

that it was an old railroad

which has now become a walk

This is scaring me

There is nobody in the station

I'm in the city center, so I don't know

Let's see if there is no metro

And there is absolutely no one

It's all empty

I'm going to the Grand Station

and from there, to Rockefeller

Yes, this is that you are seeing is the Top of the Rock

and finally we couldn't go up due to weather

Now, you're going to see what was for me one of the best places I visited in New York

And it was a restaurant in which all the waiters sang like Broadway style

Really, if you ever go to New York, don't miss the chance to visit this site

Penultimate day in New York, today we have come to Brooklyn

to see the bridge and then cross the bridge

and we'll get to Manhattan again, which is what's there

After that we will go back to Top of the rock

because yesterday due to the weather we could not climb

And tomorrow, we will finish our long trip this Christmas in New York

Well, we are in Central Park

I had time to come to Central Park before going to Rockefeller

There are still a couple of hours left so I'm going to do a walk around the area

and then we go to the skyscraper

Last the day in New York

Tomorrow the flight depart with destination England, and then Spain

And today we are going to focus the day on visiting the Natural History Museum

That we have here

And then we will take a walk through Central Park

And I guess there will be time left so I'll go for a walk around the Time Square area again

Well, we're already on the plane

We didn't have time to record the farewell so we're going to record it here on the plane

It's been two incredible weeks

I will never forget this trip

It will mark a before and after in my life

especially New Year's Eve in Time Square

And I hope you liked the video, that you subscribe to the channel, that you like it

because I spend a lot of time editing the videos

And here my friend Soukaina is going to say goodbye to you too

So, chao

Goodbye everybody

Statue of Liberty was

was a gif from France

so

FINALLY Its HAPPENING Now! Trump Just STUNS Washington DC With The UNTHINKABLE ACT

thank you very much my fellow Americans I am very proud to announce today that

we have reached a deal to end the shutdown and reopen the federal

government as everyone knows I have a very powerful alternative but I didn't

want to use it at this time hopefully it will be unnecessary I want to thank all

of the incredible federal workers and their amazing families who have shown

such extraordinary devotion in the face of this recent hardship you are

fantastic people you are incredible patriots many of you have suffered far

greater than anyone but your families would know or understand and not only

did you not complain but in many cases you encouraged me to keep going because

you care so much about our country and about its border security again I thank

you all Americans I thank you you are very very special people I am so proud

that you are citizens of our country when I say make America great again it

could never be done without you great people in a short while I will sign a

bill to open our government for three weeks until February 15th I will make

sure that all employees receive their back pay very quickly or as soon as

possible it'll happen fast I am asking Senate

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to put this proposal on the floor immediately

after 36 days of spirited debate and dialogue I have seen and heard four

enough Democrats and Republicans that they are willing to put partisanship

aside I think and put the security of the American people first

I do believe they're going to do that they have said they are for complete

border security and they have finally and fully acknowledged that having

barriers fencing or walls or whatever you want to call it will be an important

part of the solution a bipartisan conference committee of House and Senate

lawmakers and leaders will immediately begin reviewing the requests of our

homeland security experts and experts they are and also law enforcement

professionals who have worked with us so closely we want to thank Border Patrol

ice and all law enforcement been incredible

based on operational guidance from the experts in the field they will put

together a homeland security package for me to shortly sign into law over the

next 21 days I expect that both Democrats and Republicans will operate

in good faith this is an opportunity for all parties to work together for the

benefit of our whole beautiful wonderful nation if we make a fair deal the

American people will be proud of their government for proving that we can put

country before party we can show all Americans and people all around the

world that both political parties are united when it comes to protecting our

country and protecting our people many disagree but I really feel that working

with Democrats and Republicans we can make a truly great and secure deal

happen for every one wall should not be controversial our country is built 654

miles of barrier over the last 15 years and every career border patrol agent I

have spoken with has told me that walls work they do work no matter where you go

they work Israel built a wall 99.9 percent successful won't be any

different for us they keep criminals out they save good people from attempting a

very dangerous journey from other countries thousands of miles because

they think they have a glimmer of hope of coming through with a wall they don't

have that hope they keep drugs out and they dramatically increase efficiency by

allowing us to patrol far larger areas with far fewer people it's

just common sense walls work that's why most of the Democrats in Congress have

voted in the past for bills that include walls and physical barriers and very

powerful fences the walls we are building are not medieval walls they are

smart walls designed to meet the needs of frontline border agents and are

operationally effective these barriers are made of Steel have see-through

visibility which is very important and are equipped with sensors monitors and

cutting-edge technology including state-of-the-art drones we do not need

two thousand miles of concrete wall from sea to shining sea

we never did we never proposed that we never wanted that because we have

barriers at the border where natural structures are as good as anything that

we can build they're already there they've been there for millions of years

our proposed structures will be in predetermined high-risk locations that

have been specifically identified by the Border Patrol to stop illicit flows of

people and drugs no border security plan can ever work without a physical barrier

just doesn't happen at the same time we need to increase drug detection

technology and manpower to modernize our ports of entry which are ups elite the

equipment's obsolete they're old they're tired this is something we have all come

to agree on and will allow for quicker and safer commerce these critical

investments will improve and facilitate legal trade and travel through our

lawful ports of entry our plan also includes desperately needed you manage

terian assistance for those being exploited and abused by coyotes

smugglers and the dangerous journey north the requests we have put before

Congress are vital to ending the humanitarian and security crisis on our

southern border absolutely vital will not work without it this crisis

threatens the safety of our country and thousands of American lives criminal

cartels narco terrorists transnational gangs like ms-13 and human traffickers

or brazenly violating US laws and terrorizing innocent communities human

traffickers the victims are women and children maybe to a lesser extent

believe it or not children women are tied up they're bound duct tape put

around their faces around their mouths in many cases they can't even breathe

they're put in the backs of cars or vans or trucks they don't go through your

port of entry they make a right turn going very quickly they go into the

desert areas or whatever areas you can look at and as soon as there is no

protection they make a left or a right into the United States of America

there's nobody to catch them there's nobody to find them they can't come

through the port because if they come through the port people will see four

women sitting in a van with tape around their face and around their mouth can't

have that and that problem because of the Internet is the biggest problem it's

never been like this before that you can imagine it's at the worst level human

trafficking in the history of the world this is not a United States problem this

is a world problem but they come through

areas where they have no protection where they have no steel barriers where

they have no walls and we can stop almost a hundred percent of that the

profits reaped by these murderous organizations are used to fund their

malign and destabilizing conduct throughout this hemisphere last year

alone ice officers remove ten thousand known or suspected gang members like

ms-13 and members as bad as them horrible people

tough mean sadistic in the last two years ice officers arrested a total of

two hundred and sixty six thousand criminal aliens inside of the United

States including those charged or convicted of nearly 100,000 assaults

thirty thousand sex crimes and four thousand homicides or as you would call

them violent vicious killings can be stopped vast quantities of lethal drugs

including meth fentanyl heroin and cocaine are smuggled across our southern

border and into US schools and communities drugs kill much more than

seventy thousand Americans a year and cost our society in excess of seven

hundred billion dollars the sheer volume of illegal immigration has overwhelmed

federal authorities and stretched our immigration system beyond the breaking

point nearly 50 migrants a day are being

referred for medical assistance they are very very sick making this a health

crisis as well it's a very big health crisis people

have no idea how big it is unless you're there our backlog in the immigration

courts is now far greater than the 800,000 cases that you've been hearing

about over the last couple of years think of that though 800,000 cases

because a laws are obsolete so obsolete they're the laughingstock

all over the world our immigration laws all over the world they've been there

for a long time or the laughingstock all over the world we do not have the

necessary space or resources to detain House vet screen and safely process this

tremendous influx of people in short we do not have control over who is entering

our country where they come from who they are why they are coming the result

for many years is a colossal danger to public safety we're going to straighten

it out it's not hard it's easy if given the resources last month was the third

straight month in a row with 60,000 apprehensions on our southern border

thinking that we apprehended 60,000 people that's like a stadium full of

people a big stadium there are many criminals being apprehended but vast

numbers are coming because our economy is so strong we have the strongest

economy now in the entire world you see what's happening we have nowhere left to

house them and no way to promptly remove them we can't get them out because our

laws are so obsolete so antiquated and so bad

without new resources from Congress we will be forced to release these people

into community something we don't want to do called catch and release you catch

them even if they're criminals you then release them and you can't release them

from where they came so they go into our country and end up in places you would

least suspect and we do as the little releasing is possible but they're coming

by the hundreds of thousands I have had zero Democrat lawmakers volunteer to

have them released into their districts or states and I think they know that and

that's what we're going to be discussing over the next three weeks the painful

reality is that the tremendous economic and financial burdens of illegal

immigration fall on the shoulders of low-income Americans including millions

of wonderful patriotic law-abiding immigrants who enrich our nation as

commander in chief my highest priority is the defense of our great country we

cannot surrender operational control over the nation's borders to foreign

cartels traffickers and smugglers we want future Americans to come to our

country legally and through a system based on merit we need people to come to

our country we have great companies moving back into the United States and

we have the lowest employment and the best employment numbers that we've ever

had there are more people working today in the United States than have ever

worked in our country we need people to come in to help us the farms

and with all of these great companies that are moving back finally they're

moving back people said it couldn't happen it's happening and we want them

to enjoy the blessings of safety and liberty and the rule of law we cannot

protect and deliver these blessings without a strong and secure border I

believe that crime in this country can go down by a massive percentage if we

have great security on our southern border

I believe drugs large percentages of which come through the southern border

will be cut by a number that nobody will believe so let me be very clear we

really have no choice but to build a powerful wall or steel barrier if we

don't get a fair deal from Congress the government will either shut down on

February 15th again or I will use the powers afforded to me under the laws and

the Constitution of the United States to address this emergency we will have

great security and I want to thank you all very much

thank you very much thank you god bless you and God bless america

Tips for Visiting Washington DC in February - Duration: 4:33.

I'm going to tell you what it's like to visit Washington, DC during February.

Hello!

Welcome to Trip Hacks DC, my name is Rob.

I'm a tour guide here in the nation's capital.

If you're coming to Washington, DC and you're looking for the best tips, tricks and hacks

for the exploring the city, make sure to subscribe to this channel, and hit the bell notification

icon so that you don't miss any new videos.

And if you're interested in signing up for a Trip Hacks DC tour, head on over to www.triphacksdc.com

afterwards, to see the tours we offer.

This video is part of my month-by-month series, where I tell you what it's like to visit Washington,

DC each month of the year.

Including information like weather, special events, things to do and other month-specific

information.

If you have visited DC during February before, leave a comment on this video and let everyone

know whether you thought it was a good month to visit.

Otherwise, let's get started...

In my experience as a tour guide, I can tell you that February is definitely, by far, the

slowest, deadest month of the year, which you can totally use to your advantage if you

want to see DC with a fraction of the crowds that you would get the rest of the year.

Washington, DC has four seasons, and February is that part of winter where everybody is

sick of the cold and ready for spring to come.

It's actually the second coldest month of the year, with average daily highs of 47 degrees

and average daily lows of 27 degrees.

So on an average February day it will be comfortably above freezing, but remember, this is an average,

which means it could very well be warmer or colder when you visit.

To pack for February I recommend a coat.

This is the one that I wear.

And a hat, kind of like this one.

Gloves are a good idea too.

I like these simple gloves that you can just stuff into your pocket when you don't need

them.

As far as footwear, you can bring boots, if you like to wear boots, or if the forecast

is calling for a lot of snow.

Just remember that I always recommend a comfortable pair of walking shoes and boots don't always

fit the bill.

When you visit DC you are probably going to be doing a lot more walking then you do back

home.

There is one government holiday during February, President's Day which can be a great time

for a weekend trip if you have the day off work or your kids have the day off school.

And even though it seems like the kind of holiday we might do something for in DC, it's

really just a bonus day where people get an extra day off.

Although I suppose if you wanted to celebrate the presidents there are plenty of presidential

memorials and historic sites that you can check out.

Valentine's Day is not a government holiday but a popular one nonetheless.

This may be a controversial opinion, but if you come to DC on Valentine's Day, I recommend

skipping the fancy restaurants.

On Valentine's Day most of them switch over to a fixed price menu that can often be more

expensive than the regular menu and the food is often cooked in bulk.

If you do want to celebrate a nice Valentine's meal you can go the day before or the day

after and order off of the regular menu.

Even though February is t he month when I give the fewest number of tours it's actually

not a bad month to be outdoors.

You can do a tour of the monuments on the National Mall or go ice skating at one of

the rinks around town.

Most visitors prefer the ice skating rink on the National Mall, but there also rinks

in Georgetown, the Navy Yard and the Wharf.

Speaking of the Wharf, this is actually a pretty cool place to be during the winter

months.

There are big open fire pits where you can stop and cook smores over the open flame.

There are also coffee and dessert places where you can stop for a hot beverage and a sugar

break.

February is, on average, the second snowiest month of the year.

I'm not going to go in depth into snow in this video, but if you are curious about what

happens in DC when it snows I have an entire video on that topic.

So look for a link in the video description.

Even though outdoor activities are perfectly plausible, a lot of people are just sick of

winter at this point and really focused on indoor activities.

A few great indoor things you can do include, touring the Capitol, the Library of Congress

and the U.S. Botanic Gardens.

February is also African American History Month.

And I highly recommend checking out the website www.africanamericanhistorymonth.gov to see

all of the special events spanning the Smithsonian, the National Archives, and other institutions.

You can also see a play at the Kennedy Center or an NBA game or a NHL game.

Or if you're feeling a little more adventurous check out one of the shows at the smaller

theaters around town.

For last minute tickets, a little hack is that you can use the website Goldstar and

it might even save you a little money.

And that's it!

Thank you for watching this video, if you found it helpful you can subscribe to this

channel by clicking on the Trip Hacks DC logo which is popping up right now at the bottom

of the screen.

And if you're coming to DC and want to sign up for a Trip Hacks DC tour, you can click

on the Capitol Dome on the left side of my head, that'll send you over to www.triphacksdc.com

where you can see all of the tours that we offer.

Enjoy your trip!

PBC on FOX results: Adam Kownacki destroys Gerald Washington in two rounds - Duration: 2:07.

Adam Kownacki wasted no time tonight, smashing through Gerald Washington in just two rounds in the PBC on FOX co-feature from Brooklyn's Barclays Center

Kownacki (19-0, 15 KO) once again proved that looks can be deceiving, lighting Washington (19-3-1, 12 KO) in the opening round while throwing over 100 punches

In the second, he put Washington, who had tried to get on even footing with a fast start to the round, on the canvas

Washington did bravely get up, and referee Harvey Dock made the call to let him continue, warning Washington that he'd only give him a few seconds to prove he was still in the fight

Kownacki charged forward, landed a couple more clean shots, and Dock rightly and quickly stepped in to stop the bout

The official time of stoppage was 1:09 of round two. After the fight, Kownacki set his sights on WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who was in the crowd watching the bout

He was also asked about what he wants next. "I want the belt, baby," Kownacki said

He also announced to his fans in the crowd that he and his wife are expecting a child

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohios medical board on Friday suspended the license of a doctor accused of ordering excessive and possibly fatal pain medicine for dozens of hospital patients without their families knowledge.

William Husel invoked his right against self incrimination when he met with board representatives this week and was questioned, including when he was asked whether he purposefully ordered excessive doses to end patients lives, according to the boards notification letter.

Husel was fired by the Columbus area Mount Carmel Health System last month, but no charges have been announced. His lawyers havent commented.

The board said there is clear evidence that Husel violated minimum standards of care and that his continued practice of medicine would present a danger of immediate and serious harm.

Mount Carmel has said that at least 28 patients over the past few years received doses that were potentially fatal, and that six got doses that were larger than necessary to provide comfort but were likely not the cause of their deaths.

Mount Carmel initially said affected patients were near death, but now says its investigating whether patients got possibly lethal doses when there still might have been opportunity to improve their conditions with treatment.

At least six families have sued , alleging their loved ones were negligently or intentionally killed. Some also have questioned whether they were misled by hospital employees about the graveness of the patients conditions.

The hospital previously apologized and said it put six pharmacists and 14 nurses on paid leave pending further investigation. It has said it anticipates more affected patients might be discovered as the review proceeds.

The affected patients publicly identified by relatives so far include both men and women. They received care for various ailments and ranged in age from 39 to 83.

The youngest of those is James Nick Timmons, who died Oct. 24.

Timmons brother, Lynn Marshall, said Friday the medical misconduct allegations make it more difficult to trust hospital care providers who are supposed to save lives. Hes pursuing a possible lawsuit.

One of his attorneys, Craig Tuttle, said that Timmons didnt have any recorded sign of the powerful painkiller fentanyl in his system when he was first hospitalized after a suspected cocaine overdose, but that he died of intoxication from both drugs.

Timmons died a day before the first concern about Husel was raised, according to Mount Carmels timeline.

The hospital system acknowledged Husel wasnt removed from patient care until four weeks after that. Three patients died during those weeks after getting excessive doses ordered by Husel, Mount Carmel said.

The system said this week that it should have expedited the process of investigating and removing him.

Besides local authorities, the Ohio Department of Health is investigating the situation on behalf of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Husel, who lives near suburban Dublin, had worked for Mount Carmel for five years.

He has the option to request a hearing before the medical board decides on permanent action, which it said could range from probation to revoking his license. Records show no prior disciplinary action against Husel by the state board.

He previously was a supervised resident at the Cleveland Clinic, where his work is under internal review. The medical center said its preliminary review found his prescribing practices were consistent with appropriate care.

Gardner Minshew NFL Draft Projection: Washington State QB's Updated Stock | Heavy.com - Duration: 6:25.

Gardner Minshew NFL Draft Projection: Washington State QB's Updated Stock | Heavy.com

Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew has put together a superb season and is on the rise when it comes to his 2019 NFL Draft stock.

The talented senior quarterback who's played just one season with the Cougars has put his name on the radar of draft scouts for obvious reasons.

He's also heading to the draft with a full head of steam after an award-winning season.

Not only was Minshew named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year but he also was given the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

This award goes to the nation's best senior or fourth-year quarterback and was received after he threw for 4,776 yards and 38 touchdowns this year.

Minshew completed 70.7 percent of his passes while attempting 662 over 13 games.

Arguably the most impressive aspect is that he only threw nine interceptions.

The Washington State quarterback spent the two prior seasons with the East Carolina Pirates, throwing for 24 touchdowns in 17 games.

Over the span of his entire collegiate career, Minshew has posted a 138.7 quarterback rating in 30 games.

As the NFL draft approaches, Minshew should be a name to monitor.

We're going to take a look at the latest on the signal caller's current stock and the projected round he could be selected in.

Gardner Minshew's NFL Draft Stock.

At this point, the draft analysts seem to be split on the Washington State quarterback and his outlook.

On one hand, ESPN's Mel Kiper listed Minshew as his No.

8 quarterback on the most recent 2019 Big Board.

ESPN's Todd McShay had an interesting review of Minshew after Senior Bowl practices had wrapped up.

Minshew is built a bit like Baker Mayfield at 6-foot-1, 224 pounds with a thick lower body.

He has just average mobility, and his lack of arm strength was obvious on a windy day (practices were under a roof, but it was not enclosed).

However, he shows very good anticipation, and he's a rhythm thrower who gets the ball out on time and can throw his receivers into an open window.

He really needs to end up with a West Coast offense and preferably with a team that plays in a dome.

— McShay.

On the other hand, Walter Football isn't nearly as high on Minshew, listing him as their No.

18 quarterback currently.

They weren't the only ones to have him on the outside of the top-10, as Draft Tek currently has the 6-foot-2 senior as their No.

11 quarterback.

Minshew could benefit from a strong showing at the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine.

He's on the radar at this point, but still has some work to do in order to prove that his success stems from more than just a high-octane offense at Washington State.

When Gardner Minshew Could Be Drafted.

Predicting where quarterbacks will get selected can be a tall task, especially prior to the combine.

Minshew is a prime candidate to improve his stock, but as of now, he's expected to be a late-round pick at best in the eyes of many.

Walter Football touched on Minshew's outlook while putting him in the sixth round-to-undrafted free agent section.

Going beyond that, the latest seven-round mock draft from Draft Tek did not feature Minshew coming off the board at all.

It seems the Cougars quarterback may need a strong showing in pre-draft workouts and other events in order to hear his name called.

Even if Minshew is not selected, he should be a name targeted by many as an undrafted free agent.

As shutdown continues, Republicans praise Trump as pragmatic, energized The Washington Post

Members of the Republican National Committee passed a resolution Friday hailing President Trump as a pragmatic, energized President who shares and understands the will of the American people.

The resolution, approved by voice vote during the partys winter meeting in New Mexico, came three months after Republicans lost control of Congress and more than a month into the partial government shutdown, which a majority of the country has blamed on President Trump.

The committee stopped short of endorsing Trumps reelection hopes, a move that some members had previously discussed. One voting member of the committee said there were concerns that such a resolution could have triggered Federal Election Commission rules that would limit the partys spending abilities in the run up to the 2020 election.

Instead, the RNC, a voting body made up of 168 members, simply offered Trump and his presidency its undivided support. The resolution praised his courage, his bold and innovative talents as a communicator, and his decision to follow through on campaign promises.

President Donald Trump has made gains which have benefited Americans no matter their ethnicity, race or persuasion, with a new message of hope, opportunity, prosperity, and national security that has already improved the lives of millions of people, the document said.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was also expected to be reelected to a second term at the meeting, after leading the committee through an election cycle that demonstrated the partys significant fundraising, organizing and campaign prowess.

The committee deployed 550 staff members to work on the midterms in 28 states and raised dollar 317 million during the cycle, nearly twice the dollar 171 million raised by the Democratic National Committee. The party narrowly expanded its Senate majority, while it lost the House.

Several Republican politicians, including former Ohio governor John Kasich and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, have left open the possibility of running against Trump in the 2020 Republican presidential primary. The rules for that contest were set at the 2016 convention and cannot easily be changed. But there has been little sign among the party leadership welcoming such a challenge.

The RNC voted last May to eliminate the committee charged with organizing Republican debates for the 2020 primary. McDaniel could still reappoint the committee at a later date. An adviser to Kasich said debates would probably be scheduled if early primary polls showed Trump in danger of losing early contests in states such as New Hampshire.

Primary challenges have a history of damaging the reelection hopes of incumbent presidents, even when they are not successful. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter fought off a challenge by Sen. Ted Kennedy D Mass. , and in 1992 President George H.W. Bush beat back a bid by Pat Buchanan, who claimed 23 percent of the primary popular vote. Bush and Carter lost their reelection bids.

Trumps approval ratings have declined in recent weeks as the government has been shut down, with the RealClearPolitics average of national polls dropping from a recent high of 44.4 percent in October to 40.9 percent this week. At the same point in his presidency, President Barack Obama had an approval rating of 50 percent, according to Gallup.

A Washington Post ABC News poll in the second week of January found that 53 percent of Americans considered Trump and Republicans in Congress to have been mainly responsible for the shutdown, compared with 29 percent who blamed Democrats in Congress. More than half of the country opposed Trumps demand for building a wall along the Southern border.

Washington Post Trump golf course fires undocumented employees during shutdown Politics

The Post spoke to the workers and their attorney who said the abrupt firing took place on January 18, despite some of the individuals having worked as staff at the club for several years.

Last year, that his private club in New Jersey had employed people who managers allegedly knew were in the country illegally.

The two women who spoke to The Times last year said that supervisors at the club took active measures to help them avoid detection and hold on to their jobs, but the paper said there was no evidence that Trump or Trump Organization executives knew of their immigration status.

The Post reported that at Trump National Golf Club, the company told the workers that they found their immigration documents were fake during an audit.

CNN has reached out to the Trump Organization and the White House for comment.

Eric Trump, the Presidents son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said in an emailed statement to The Post: "We are making a broad effort to identify any employee who has given false and fraudulent documents to unlawfully gain employment. Where identified, any individual will be terminated immediately."

According to The Post, Eric Trump added that it is one of the reasons "my father is fighting so hard for immigration reform. The system is broken."

Gabriel Sedano, a former maintenance worker who had worked at the club since 2005, was fired and spoke to The Post.

"I told them they needed to consider us. I had worked almost 15 years for them in this club, and Id given the best of myself to this job," Sedano said, according to the paper. "Id never done anything wrong, only work and work."
