News on Youtube Jan 3 2019

hi guys this morning I am doing something a little bit different I'm

just gonna do a vlog video because I'm going out and doing stuff I don't go out

and do stuff I'm a bit of an introvert I don't like to go out too often like I

I'm a homebody I guess it's a better way to put it but today I've been gifted a

spa gift card so I am going to drive to South Austin and get a deep tissue

massage for my aching shoulders and neck which I have been needing so bad I am so

grateful and so excited and then if I have time I plan to maybe soak in a hot

tub it depends if the hot tub is inside or outside because it's cold and wet and

drizzly and nasty and so if it's outside I'm not gonna do that but I have my

swimsuit just in case I hear there's a sauna I don't know but I know I'm

getting massaged and it's gonna be really I'm really excited I need to

focus on the road so I'm not gonna film while I'm driving

so what's gonna get me on

time is I've got the music off I've got my GPS on I'm just focused I already

looked up the map I'm at a stop light right now I won't be touching my phone

while I'm driving just pay attention to the road and they're really wet

conditions and just being really cautious leaving with enough time so

that I have time to drive slowly and carefully and if I do get lost or turned

around it won't be a problem so, yeah - green light - bye

another stoplight if you know anything about me I'm really paranoid about being

places on time so I go really really early anytime I have to be somewhere

I'm gonna be early but I won't relax until I get there with time to spare

it's just the way it is that's why I leave with so much time like I should be

totally fine

It's 11:01am assuming the clock I'm looking at's correct - I have to

be there at a half hour and it should take me about 15 minutes to get there so

we're looking really really good so far

it's really pretty out here I really

really love it

parking brake on I am so excited okay it's 11:18am - I have to be in there at 11:30am

to check-in for my noon massage I've been in the car for over an hour now I think

or almost an hour about an hour - I got my golden ticket here - this is my gift

certificate for the spa

Have I said yet in this video that I love my job?

I really love my job and I can't find my words it's been a fun busy busy Christmas

with family and now all of that it's time to unwind and as part of that I scheduled

my spa day for the day after Christmas because I can't think of anything more

perfect than getting a nice relaxing deep tissue massage and then spending a

half day at the spa after Christmas so you want to come with me?

Let's go there there - let's go!

(gasp)

got water in my shoe I stepped in a puddle

I'm in the locker room they gave me a brief tour but I didn't want to shoot a

video of that I'm gonna change into my bathrobe and get ready to go upstairs

because I have paperwork to fill out and I kind of need to get that done before I

start the massage I think I'm gonna have to put my phone away and put it in a

locker now

I had my massage, and there are signs everywhere that are like "no phones"

so I'm trying not to be on my phone very much there's a spa in the locker room

but there are other people in it so I'm not gonna take my phone out but I'm

gonna go get in the hot tub spa

there were people in here

but when I got here everyone left

I'm trying really hard to be respectful of all other guests

and any time someone shows up I hide my phone in a panic

This place is awesome, I don't want to get kicked out

Can you even see me in here?

I'm in the steam sauna

Steam sauna

I don't think you can see me

Tea - had a shower it's so nice here

just very zen and very relaxing

okay that was really good I took advantage of the shower before I got out

of there and now I am getting in the car to head back to Austin so or to

Georgetown you didn't get to see a lot of the spa like it's really like it's

supposed to be an unplugged no cameras kind of place so or no cameras not no

phones and then my phone is my camera often so I didn't record a lot but it

was really nice and really relaxing

I'm going to see what I have if I can even make a video

with that footage because I feel like I don't even have enough footage to make a video

I got to - I got to Google some things and figure out where I'm headed

and turn on my map my GPS and my nav so I can get

myself on the road

I got to look up my directions again so that I can get to

Round Rock um yeah

and then can head on home from there

so once I get to I35 in Round Rock

I'll be good so I'm gonna look up directions and then I'm gonna go

home so I think that's the end of this adventure today there's nothing really

more exciting this should happen I don't think

since I'm just gonna go home

think that's the end it should be fairly uneventful

let me know if this was

interesting or if this was horrible I gotta watch back and see if I even have enough

footage to make video

and maybe I will do something again like this when I go out

I can make a "go out with me video" but it doesn't happen very often that

I go out so yeah there's that

thank you talk to you later bye

James Comey Kept Two Sets of Records, One for Public Viewing, One for "Upper Echelon" - Duration: 13:16.

Hey what's up everybody Truth seeker here. We got a few stories to go over with you

today. I'm gonna start off with this first one

it's about former FBI director James Comey illegally keeping two sets of

records at the bureau, one that was fake and for public and media consumption, and

another one that was real and only available to the upper echelon at the

agency's. Pretty crazy isn't it? Not shocking though this is according to national

security expert Sarah Carter Comey could be in deep trouble for attempting to

obstruct justice during his tenure at the FBI Hannity started his show by

addressing the stonewalling of the FBI and DOJ of Trump's order to Declassified

and released unredacted documents related to the Russian collusion

witch-hunt Fox News legal analyst gregg jarrett told hannity that President

Trump has the constitutional authority to demand that documents are

Declassified and released if they decide to defy the president they should be

fired immediately Sarah Carter Fox News investigative reporter contributor and

he has the number one best-selling book the Russian hoax

Greg Garrett is for those Fox News legal analysts thank you both

let's start from a legal standpoint Greg if I may and start with a simple

question they're demanding that the FBI DOJ not comply with the president's

order I think there are numerous areas where constitutionally the president has

the authority to do so one is he has the power to declassify a and he has the

power to release it B and hasn't this been done in the past by Democrats oh

sure it has and the legal authority for the President to make these decisions

and order executive branch officials to comply with his order derives from

article 1 section 1 of the Constitution it says the executive power shall be

vested in the president United States it goes on to explain that it is his job to

be in charge of the executive branch and to enforce all laws and it would be rank

insubordination for anyone in the executive branch branch to defy is his

orders and if they do that they should be fired immediately and that would

include dan coats the rector of National Intelligence if he

decides to defy the president it would certainly mean rod Rosenstein a Deputy

Attorney General who has much reason to continue to obstruct these documents

because they likely incriminate him and also Christopher Rea whose interest in

obstructing Congress is to cover up the impropriety and I think illegality on

the part of FBI officials so if they should all be fired immediately if they

do not comply Sara I'm hearing it even gets worse than this that there

potentially is out there if you will two sets of record among the upper echelon

of the FBI one that was real and one that was made for appearances is there

any truth to this absolutely Shawn I think that right now especially with the

number of sources that I've been speaking with as well as some others

that there is evidence indicating that the FBI had separate sets of books and

if that is the case I mean it certainly appears that this as Greg has already

seated over and over again that there could be and there will be criminal

charges pressed against people that women so in other words is saying one

thing publicly but the real story the real set of books is held privately

among how many people are we talking about and hi how high up in the exelon

of the DOJ FBI I think there are quite a few people especially higher-ups I will

not name names until all of the evidence is out there but there were certain

people above Peter struck and above Lisa page that were aware of this I also

believe that there are people within the FBI that have actually turned on their

former employers and are possibly even testifying and reporting what happened

inside the FBI to both the Inspector General and possibly even a grand jury

well you know Greg I mean that would then mean at that point that this is a

coup that this is an attempted you know look I think we're ready but we already

know that that there has been enormous

amounts of effort time influence and abuse of power one to allow their

favorite candidate get away from crimes that other Americans would never be

exonerated from then we know that that it's all those back to Hillary

you know funneling money to fusion gps through the law firm hiring a foreign

national which is Christopher steel Christopher steel using Russian lies

putting together the dossier then we know that the dossier contents was

spread before the election for the purpose of really indoctrinating and

misinforming the american people to influence them and their voting decision

if that's not bad enough and we know it was used as the basis for for FISA

warrants against Carter page a trump campaign associate and all of the

information presented to the court was that phony dossier and these phony

manufactured press reports from the same sources so basically it is the dossier

and they never verified never corroborated it and then they also had a

leaked media leak strategy and Lisa page said they didn't have any information of

any collusion nine months into the investigation so they start leaking for

the purpose of what to get the special counsel which we know Comey also did and

then it seems like now there you got a group of people to think that they know

better than the American people and and they've got one two separate you know

groups of books one tells the truth and the others for public consumption that's

a lie well if they have two separate books then they're obstructing not only

Congress but they're obstructing justice I honestly don't know how much more

clearer it has to be that there was a coup I mean are these people literally

closing their eyes and plugging their ears just to make sure they don't

recognize the coup attempt here just total insanity moving forward here

though senator Elizabeth Warren who falsely claimed to be a Native American

last October has officially entered the twenty twenty presidential race in an

8:30 a.m. email on New Year's Eve the Massachusetts Democrat announced she was

forming an exploratory committee to raise money and fill staff positions

before a formal lunch of her presidential bid the New York Times

reported Warren also released a video that leaned

on the anti Wall Street themes a campaign message that drew among praise

Monday morning from liberal groups a quote from it states I spent my career

getting to the bottom of why America's Promise works for some families but

others who work just as hard slipped through the cracks into the disaster

miss Warren said in the video and what I found is terrifying

these aren't cracks families are falling into their traps America's middle class

is under attack the race for the 2020 Democratic nomination is poised to be

the most wide open since perhaps 1992 with the party leaderless and lacking

obvious frontrunner after a midterm election that saw many women liberals

minorities and young Democrats win the primaries and caucuses ear are likely to

be fought over not only who is the most progressive candidate but also which mix

of identities should be reflected in the next nominee president Trump responded

to senator Elizabeth Warren when asked by Fox News whether he thought Warren

could prevent his reelection in 2020 Elizabeth Warren will be the first she

did very badly and proving that she who is of Indian heritage that didn't work

out too well I think you have more than she does and maybe I do too and I have

nothing so you know we'll see how she does I wish her well I hope she does

well I'd love to run against her she says she's in the fight all the way mr.

president do you do you really think she believes she can win well then I don't

know you'd have to ask her psychiatrist she should ask her psychiatrist before

making this move she the firm of critical Trump Warren said the US

government had been bought and paid for by a bunch of billionaires and giant

corporations that think they get to dictate the rules that affect everyone

although she did not name Trump even once during the video a remark seemed to

concern the Republican head of state I mean here they are polling the

harp-strings again they're trying to get everybody into the emotional feels about

how the elites been running everything but this is the same person that backs

the elites to begin with I'm not understanding what her video is about if

you want to watch it it's gonna be in the article I'm gonna link to in the

description below you could tell there was a giant

pyaare a group that was in charge of writing this whole entire script that

she's saying here add a little emotional music to it and it tries to make you

believe that she's the good guy even though we all know what she stands for

already so I guess the new boogeyman has rich people people that are rich are all

bad that's what she's pretty much preaching in this and of course you know

who she's trying to target under that right of course President Donald Trump

but she must really think people are that stupid and blind to actually want

to be able to follow her she had plenty of chances of the opportunities to prove

what she does in government and what has she done that's the thing I question

about all these people that's been in politics for so long what have they done

they sit there in protest Trump on a daily basis try to stop anything that he

wants to do and they act like they could do something better what have they done

it's just it's literally a damn circus but her trying to run in the 2020 race I

think that will be hilarious I'm gonna move forward to the last story and this

one I really can't believe it actually comes from a place where the mainstream

actually deems official news but apparently the use of the word witch

hunt is now offending witches you heard me correctly this is not a parody CNN

actually went around interviewing witches to ask them how they felt about

Donald Trump calling the Russian probe of witch-hunt I'm gonna go ahead and

roll that clip right here oh yes and which kind of which are you I'm

initiated into Wicca which is the religious side of things

witches tend to side with liberals and you know what they wish president Trump

would stop saying about the Muller investigation it's a witch hunt that's

all it is the witch hunt as I call it Russian witch hunt this is a witch hunt

like nobody's ever seen before the author of witchcraft activism calls the

president's use of the term really disgraceful I mean thousands of people

were executed in Europe on suspicion of witchcraft there's a lot to be offended

by by Donald Trump and I think his use of the term witch hunt is is very low on

that list of priorities for most witches but nevertheless it does demonstrate

his ignorance as usual the entire thing has been a witch-hunt

but if the president stop saying witch-hunt he'd have to hunt for a new

term tweeted someone I guess he will have to start referring to it as a wild

goose chase but then that might offend geese that's the one thing I've seen

seen in actually get right it probably will offend the liberal geese maybe

they're starting to understand how liberal logic works I don't know but

this is definitely the craziest upside-down world we live in and there's

literally one guy in office right now that's trying to fix that and all these

people are against him and I think it makes it clearly obvious who the bad

guys really are doesn't it what do you guys think about all this

The Public Domain Just Got a Little Bigger - Duration: 5:59.

So here's some cool news to start the new year:

On January 1, for the first time in 20 years, new works entered the public domain here in

the United States.

And by "new works" I mean "old works," as in "old works that weren't in the public

domain before."

Probably could have found a clearer phrasing for that.

Know the worst part about it?

I scripted it this way!

Here's the deal: The Copyright Act of 1976 determined that all creative works first published

in the United States before January 1, 1978 would enter the public domain 75 years after

their original publication.

Creative works published after January 1, 1978 would retain their copyright protections

for the lifetime of the author, plus fifty years.

These rules remained unchanged until 1998, when Congress passed a revision to the Copyright

Act that extended the protection term by twenty years.

One of the major lobbyists in favor of extending the term of copyright protection was The Walt

Disney Corporation, which was starting to get nervous about "Steamboat Willie,"

the first official appearance of Mickey Mouse, lapsing into the public domain, which prior

to the revisions was due to occur in 2004.

Under the revised provisions, works retain their copyright protections for the life of

the author plus seventy years, except for works made for hire which are owned not by

their actual author but by the company who paid the author to create them; copyright

protections on works for hire last for 120 years after the creation of the work or 95

years after the original publication of the work, whichever comes first.

Thanks to the revisions of the copyright law, Disney gets to hang on to the copyright for

"Steamboat Willie" until 2024 – which is practically right around the corner now!

The extension of the protection term also meant that works with copyrights that had

been due to expire in 1999 wouldn't enter the public domain until twenty years later.

For twenty years no works created before 1978 have entered the public domain in the United

States, except those which were intentionally placed there by creators who voluntarily gave

up their copyright protections.

But now the public domain freeze is over!

This year, and every year from now on, new works – er, new old works, you know what

I'm saying – will automatically enter the public domain as their copyright protections

lapse.

What are some of these works?

Take your pick.

All works published in the United States in 1923 are now in the public domain.

In 1923 Agatha Christie published The Murder on the Links, the second appearance of Hercule

Poirot.

Joseph Conrad published The Rover, his final finished novel.

Kahlil Gibran published The Prophet.

Virginia Woolf published her short story "Mrs. Dalloway in Bond Street," which she would

later rewrite and expand into the novel Mrs. Dalloway.

E.E. Cummings published his first collection of poetry, Tulips and Chimneys.

And Robert Frost published New Hampshire, the Pulitizer Prize-winning poetry collection

that includes "Nothing Gold Can Stay" and "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening."

Jumping from literature to cinema, 1923 was the year Cecil B. DeMille released his original

version of The Ten Commandments.

It was the year of The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Lon Chaney.

Fifteen Felix the Cat animated shorts were released, including "Felix in Hollywood,"

which features Felix meeting cartoon versions of movie stars like Charlie Chaplin and Ben

Turpin.

And speaking of Charlie Chaplin, 1923 saw the release of important works by Chaplin,

Harold Lloyd, and my personal favorite, Buster Keaton.

Chaplin released The Pilgrim, and A Woman of Paris, a drama which he directed but chose

not to star in, though he does put in an inconspiciuous cameo as a porter.

Lloyd released Why Worry? and arguably his greatest film, Safety Last.

And Keaton released two shorts: "The Balloonatic" and "The Love Nest," and two features:

Three Ages, and Our Hospitality.

Nineteen-twenty-three was also a big year for music, as it saw the first releases of

the songs "Who's Sorry Now?", "That Old Gang of Mine," and a little blues number

of which I've always been particularly fond, "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and

Out".

It was also the year of "The Charleston."

What does all this mean, practically speaking?

It means that all works first published in the United States in 1923 are now the property

not of their former copyright holders, but of the public.

They belong to all of us, which means they can not only be republished without permission,

they can also be altered and adapted.

You wanna record your own version of "The Charleston"?

Go for it.

You wanna produce The Murder on the Links for the stage?

Godspeed, Little Dramatist!

You wanna make an exhaustive six-part YouTube series analyzing DeMille's original Ten

Commandments wherein you quote liberally from the film in ways that go far beyond the accepted

boundaries of Fair Use?

Why aren't you doing it right now?!

Life is short!

Go make your Ten Commandments marathon super-documentary while there's still breath in your lungs

and a beating heart in your chest!

There's nothing to stop you!

Quote!

Adapt!

Remix!

Remake!

The floodgates of the Public Domain have once again been opened and the cultural deluge

will sweep us all away!

Isn't it wonderful?

Isn't it glorious?!

Oh, rapture!

Oh, bliss!

Oh, sweet millennium!

In you shall I dwell for all the rest of my years!

Hosanna!

Also: The Covered Wagon.

Hollywood's first true epic western, about a group of pioneers who set out for Oregon

in 1848.

Top grossing film of 1923.

Check it out.

If you're interested.

It's neat.
