You won't believe how much Holly Willoughby gets paid for fronting This Morning
After 11 years of working alongside Phillip Schofield, the pair will now earn the same for their famous TV double act. The This Morning bombshell has landed a whopping £200,000 pay rise to match Phils £600,000 wage.
Hollys new deal was reportedly fashioned earlier this summer, during negotiations for the return of Dancing on Ice. The skating series launched in 2006 but has been on a three-year break. BIG BUCKS: Hollys salary has shot up remarkably.
DOUBLE ACT: Holly will now earn £600,000 for This Morning – the same as Phillip.
Source It has been confirmed that the ITV show will be heading back to our screens later this year with celebrities like Ray J even confirmed to be in talks to appear.
The duo fronted six series of Dancing On Ice until Holly ditched the show for The Voice in 2011.
Now set to be a primetime hit once again, ITV bosses decided Phillip and Holly should get the same fee for fronting the programme.
DANCING ON ICE: DOI will return later this year. However, the issue then arose concerning the difference in pay for This Morning.
It seemed ridiculous they were going to get paid the same fee for Dancing on Ice but Holly was lagging behind on This Morning, a source told The Mirror.
Quite rightly, that has now been rectified and they both earn exactly the same..
GENDER PAY GAP: There was widespread outrage following BBCs pay release. The news comes following soon after the backlash against the BBC for paying women less than their male counterparts.
It came to light that just one third of the BBCs top earners were female, while only 10 were from ethnic minority backgrounds. However, ITV's decision on Hollys pay was reportedly made before the whole fiasco.
