MONEY SAVING TIPS - Minimalism and Simple living - Duration: 5:54.

Who doesn't need some practical tips on saving money?

Welcome back on my channel or HI if you're new, I'm Valentina and today we're all about saving some money

and learning how to live a great life on a budget.

First, we need to differentiate need vs wants. Do we need that dress or we want a new dress?

We need to balance our long-term needs and our short-term wants to live well, but frugally.

It's easy to mix up wants and needs and break our budget …

that's why it really helps to have a goal as it will keep us motivated to hold on .

Unplug TV and turn off your wi-fi router before bed, you not only will save some money but you'll sleep better

Don't let temptation make you buy stuff you don't really need . When I go groceries for example I never buy things

that are not on the grocery list and in the long run this saved me a lot of money as I beat the urge to spend!

Turning down the heat won't just help us in saving money but it will help the planet and us to be healthier

Make your own cleaners at home so you'll end up saving some money and use more natural ingredients

Use the 24 hour rule as it helps avoid purchasing unnecessary items on impulse.

Think over each purchase for at least 24 hours and research a lot before making a decision, compare multiple websites.

We should try to make an effort and use cash more often.

We live in a digital culture where it's so easy to swipe up our credit card that sometimes we don't really realize how much we are spending

Wearing neutral clothes because they are more versatile and we can mix and match easier without having too many outfits.

To be better in saving money we need to know how much we spend. We should keep track of all our expenses,

organizing the data by categories for example, groceries, car, mortgage etc…

Drying clothes on a clothesline instead of using the dryer is a great way to save money on electricity

Once we learned to differentiate between needs and wants, we may find out that we already have most of what we want.

And this is a major turning point because we live in an era where all these information coming into our home

from the media, tend to make us feel deprived when we really aren't.

Let's shop at thrift stores as we can purchase things for less or let's check the used section on a web site

before buying a new item…we'll not only save money but...yes! also the environment will appreciate our choice.

Don't underestimate this....consumerism creates a false sense of urgency like we really need to buy that dress or that PC

because they are on sale for a limited time, but we don't really need them.

We've gone from fulfilling needs to creating false needs. And this brings me directly to the next tip

We should unsubscribe from mailing list so we'll avoid temptation to buy something that we don't need anyway

Let's turn off your lights when we don't need them or if we are in another room.

We can sell our unwanted belongings and earn a few dollars on EBAY or any place of our choice

I couldn't end this video without this tip: be a minimalist!

While adopting a minimalist lifestyle and decluttering, we may find out we have enough already

Now, of course these were just some suggestions, you make up the rules that work the best for you but I hope you'll find some of them useful.

And remember to be willing to make some sacrifices…saving money means we'll have to sacrifice something

but it also means that it will pay off in the long run.

Now, it does not mean we should only buy things we need… Life is meant to be lived, not survived.

We should treat ourselves from time to time but we should see these extras as they are…just exceptions.

That's it for today, I hope you liked the video and if you did please give it a THUMBS UP it always means a lot when you do. I hope to see you in the next one

Make Money By Tagging Images And Other Simple Tasks - Duration: 7:47.

what's up everyone Attan here and in today's video I'm gonna show you how to

make money by tagging images and doing other simple tasks. All you have to do we

stay with me but first if you're new around here make sure to subscribe to my

youtube channel because I upload videos about how to make money online and work

from home opportunities on a consistent basis and hit that notification bell to

be notified every time I upload a new video alright so before we dive into

this simple money-making opportunity keep in mind that you won't get rich

with this kind of opportunities if you're interested in building a

long-term business and making some serious money online you definitely want

to check out the link in my description below here but we save that for the end

because this is a perfect way to get started to make a few extra bucks while

you build a long-term online business there alright with that being said let's

get started so we are actually going to a site today called Remo tasks just like

I say remote remote tasks and this is how it looks when you arrive here so it

clearly says that you make money by doing tasks you can start earning from

home today and if I just scroll down a little bit here you can see that here is

an image you see there how they tagged and you actually draw boxes it is super

simple okay and you submit the task so that is more or less so if you scroll

down a little bit and have a look at it you tagged images you transcribe audio

moderate content and you can see here they say that we have many interesting

tasks for you to do English fluency is the only requirement so it works like

you have to sign up first it's really easy you can do it via Facebook or of

course via your email sign up there you will have to take a few exams here and

you do the tasks in categories that you are unlocked so it's all based on

actually the exams that you will take there what you're capable of doing and

then of course you get paid you get paid weekly via PayPal and there is no limits

also which is really really awesome and you can see here each exam unlocks tasks

for you to do example of tasks you can do art drawing boxes around course so

that is the tagging moderating content identifying spam and categorizing

t-shirts the tasks are provided from multiple companies from small startups

to public companies some examples include self-driving car

companies and t-shirt startups they trusted us and you with completing these

tasks so if we have a look at it here the tasks more in detail here is an

image annotation you just drew a box around it as you could see earlier here

also categorization you helped identify keywords that describe images what's in

an image so you can see this is a perfect example it is a dress or a coat

I'm sorry it is a coat actually and it is purple and it has quorum so when

people they search with a specific tag if they want the coat so there you you

will have to add that tag so there it will be easier for them to find that

product that is how where the categorization works then you can also

do some OSI your image transcription transcribe important content from an

image comparison you can draw bounding boxes around various objects to help

determine what's where there is an audio transcription available also the way you

can transcribe voice recording for people to read and some data collection

where you search the web and collect data about anything

here are some tasker's you can see here they have left some testimonials so very

very popular site actually I seen a lot of good feedbacks around the globe when

I did a research so here are some FAQ do you have to work

on a minimum number of hours there is no minimum to get paid each week which I

mentioned earlier and that is really cool so you don't have to force yourself

to make up to ten twenty or something like that they just pay out weekly

period that's it what if you confused about a task we

have an active online community where you can get advice so that is really

nice also you join of course by signing up neither a via Facebook as I mentioned

earlier or if you want to do the manual way with your email and so on how do I

withdraw my earnings please be sure to add your PayPal you will get paid via

PayPal also really nice and you just make sure you will add your PayPal

account in there and you will get paid of course to your PayPal do we have to

pay of course not this is totally free you can use the mobile while it's

possible to login using a smartphone we discourage you from doing complex tasks

like 2d and 3d annotation on any device other than a laptop or desktop so it is

preferred actually to work on your computer here will I really get paid yes

of course you will you will taking exams to get more tasks and you will get paid

per accepted tasks of course the amount paid will vary depending on task

complexity the pay of your PayPal we already mentioned this and how do we

task yeah I think that's pretty much it

actually you can have a look at it here also at your own pace anyway it's

definitely worth to sign up to make some money and doing some stupid simple tasks

I would say actually because it doesn't require too much to just draw some boxes

around the car or put some tags in here so that is about remote tasks now keep

in mind as I said in the beginning you probably want to get

which with this kind of opportunities so if you're interested in building a real

online business and making some serious money online you definitely want to

check out the link in my description below here alright if you got some value

Hello and welcome to my channel once again :-)

In today's video tutorial I Will show you how to crochet this tiny leaf.

You can crochet this leaf easily within five minutes if you only know basic stitches of crochet such as how to make chains SC HDC DC etc.

So let's get started :-)

Starting point of this leaf is in the middle in the shape of ring.

There are two ways to make a ring.

You can chain 6 (or more according to size of the ring you want) Or you can make adjustable ring.

You can find tutorial how to make adjustable ring on my channel with details. :-)

Make adjustable ring.

Chain one and then Make two Single Crochets into the ring.

Make two Half Double Crochets into the ring.

Now make two Double Crochets into the ring.

Make two Treble Crochets into the ring.

Now half of your leaf is done. You're at the middle point of the leaf.

Chain two and slip stitch into the same stitch (Treble Crochet) you just made.

Two Treble Crochets.

Two Double Crochets.

Two Half Double Crochets.

Two Single Crochets.

At this point it looks bit messy but we will adjust it by pulling the shorter end of the yarn :-)

Join at the top of the starting Single Crochet.

Leaf is ready, now make chain five to make tiny stem :-)

I used same numbers of stitches and same patterns for both leaves but I used bigger hook and thicker yarn in the tutorial so that I can show it better in the video.

Thank you for watching :-)

Homemade Sunscreen: A Simple Natural Recipe That Works Great! - Duration: 2:58.

Although everyone knows the health risks associated with sun exposure, most people don't protect

themselves properly when they're sunbathing. Protecting your skin from ultraviolet rays

is necessary, in order to prevent premature aging and decrease your chances of developing

skin cancer.

In many cases, people prefer not to wear sunscreen because of it's potential health risks. So,

many manufacturers have reformulated their products to include natural mineral and plant

based ingredients, instead of using harmful chemicals.

If the only reason you don't wear sunscreen is because of the price then you're going

to love today's video where we teach you how to make your own sunscreen at home.

To make this homemade sunscreen you'll need:

½ cup of coconut oil; ½ cup of olive oil;

½ cup of beeswax; 5 drops of an essential oil of your choice

(lavender is a great choice); 3 tablespoons of zinc oxide powder (which

can be found in pharmacies and online stores, but don't use the nano kind).

The main ingredient in this homemade sunscreen is zinc oxide, a chemical compound of mineral

origin found in several sunscreens, and acne and rash treatments. It's main advantage is

it's ability to protect our skin from both UVA and UVB rays. It's also well tolerated

by all skin types, rarely causing any kind of irritation. Many dermatologists recommend

sunscreens made with this ingredient for children.

By creating a physical barrier against the sun's rays, it begins to protect almost as

soon as it's applied, unlike many commercial sunscreens. The ingredients included in the

recipe have an SPF (protection factor) ranging from 4 to 20.

Now that you know some of the ingredients, here's how to make it:

Put the coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax to a glass bowl.

Melt this mixture in a bain-marie (water bath), and stir it constantly until it reaches a

uniform, liquid consistency; Then remove it from the heat and add the essential oil;

Mix in the zinc oxide and stir well. Avoid inhaling this powder while handling it in

its pure form. The best way to do it is while wearing a mask.

Close the glass container and let sit for 24 hours.

After this time is up it's ready to use! Store the container in a cool, well-ventilated

area.

This recipe, while it does protect your skin from the sun's rays, doesn't have a high

protection factor compared to commercial products. So, if you decide to use this recipe in your

day-to-day life, remember to use common sense and be careful to only sunbathe at safe times.

Prof. Catherine McBride discusses the Simple View of Reading - Duration: 2:58.

What is the Simple View of Reading?

It's a very important concept for all of us interested in children learning to read.

The Simple View of Reading talks about reading comprehension.

Up till now, in this MOOC, we've talked a lot about word recognition.

We've talked about how do you look at words on a page and recognize them.

Word recognition involves phonological skills, morphological skills

orthographic skills, fluency, memory, and other things.

But when we really talk about reading, we know that one important component of that is "reading to learn".

We really want to be able to understand books, the internet, or other reading materials

to learn new information.

So the Simple View of Reading talks about how we do that.

In the Simple View of Reading, there are two components.

One is word recognition which we've talked about lots before.

The second is oral language comprehension.

Oral language comprehension is basically thinking with language.

It involves lots of different processes in language.

For example, it involves vocabulary knowledge.

It can involve syntax or grammar or word order--

how we put words together to make sense of language.

It can also involve things like inference making.

I'm going to give you an example of inference making for language comprehension.

I'm going to say two sentences:

"The man stopped. He was scared."

In this example, if you know that in the second sentence,

"He" refers to the man in the first one, that's making an inference.

All of these skills and more are related to language comprehension.

It's important to point out that poor readers can have difficulties for different reasons.

A lot of it is word recognition. So children who are dyslexic really can't recognize words on a page.

Others are called poor comprehenders.

They may be fine at reading words but they're not good at language comprehension.

The Simple View of Reading, focused on reading comprehension, tells us that in order to be a good comprehender,

you need both word recognition and language comprehension.

So instead of focusing on learning to read

which is the word recognition part, the very beginning parts.

In the Simple View of Reading, to really become a proficient reader, you're reading to learn.

You're doing those with two things: word recognition and language comprehension.

That's the Simple View of Reading.

What is Microblading? A Simple Explanation of Microblading and Semi Permanent Makeup - Duration: 3:21.

Aloha, Ya'll!

My name is Hannah Maruyama.

I am the owner and master artist, here, at YAMA Studios.

A semi permanent makeup studio based, here, in Honolulu, HI.

I'm here today to talk to you about microblading.

Microblading is a semi permanent cosmetic tattoo.

Semi permanent because over time the pigment will fade.

Pigments, modern pigments, are designed to fade, unlike tattoo ink.

Tattoo ink is designed to stay put forever.

And while microblading and other semi permanent makeup will leave small particles under your

skin eventually you won't be able to see it anymore.

Which is why you have to go back to touch up semi permanent makeup.

Microblading is probably, and arguably, the most popular semi permanent application that

you can have today.

Microblading involves the use of a small manual hand tool that are a bunch of small, tiny,

sterile needles all arranged in a row and that is what is used to make hair like incisions

into the skin to deposit pigment.

Now, the incisions, if the artist is doing their job correctly, go to the basal layer

of your epidermis.

So, if you're looking at your skin, your top layer is your epidermis.

The deepest layer of your epidermis is the basal layer.

The basal layer is the sweet spot.

This is where microblading pigment lives.

Below that is the dermis and the dermis is where tattoos go.

Just to give you a little information as to how they're different.

So, quick recap: microblading is done in a different layer of the skin as tattoos.

Microblading is done using pigment not tattoo ink.

Microblading is done using a hand tool not a digital tattoo gun.

And now you kind of now what microblading is.

It's a really fantastic procedure.

Once I found about it.

I could not wait to learn how to do it.

I got certified.

I opened two studios, now.

This is studio round two.

And it's a lot of fun, but really life changing for people that have gaps in their brow or

especially people that have old tattoos and have done their eyebrows in a way that they

need covered up or they would like to disguise and make look more natural.

But microblading is a fantastic, truly fantastic service and I really enjoy offering it.

If you would like to learn more about semi permanent makeup, or you're interested in

learning about microblading as well, click on any of my other videos.

Please subscribe.

I'll be posting weekly.

And also if you really want to dive deeper into this world and learn more about it, my

book is also linked below.

It's called Before the Blade: What You Need to Know Before Getting Microblading or Semi

Permanent Makeup.

Important stuff!

It's a good overview of what to expect, how your appointment is going to go, how to choose

your artist, how to care for your semi permanent makeup, who is a good candidate for it, and

just general warnings and cautions.

Things you need to know.

Things that might eliminate you.

All kinds of good stuff in there.
