5 simple tips to Get Your Emails Opened - Email Marketing Tips - Duration: 7:04.hi everyone Attan here from my IM tips dot com and in today's video i'm going to
show you five simple tips on how to get your emails opened but first make sure
to subscribe to my youtube channel and hit that notification Bell to be
notified every time there is a new video uploaded
okay so we all know the importance of having your email is opened and it can
be a little bit tricky from time to time we're wondering if our list is not
engaged anymore if it is arriving in the spam folder or whatever it is but keep
in mind that your subscriber is also receiving emails from definitely
probably 10 15 or 20 more people like you so we want to be a little bit
different than the others and that's why I thought it would be a good idea to
share a few simple tips with you here today on how you can have your emails
opened so with that being said let's get started now first off we are going to
change your from email and few examples that I'm showing you here you can see
this is with my I am tips I just typed it's our turn from my IM tips and i'm
having a star symbol here so you need to change this from time to time to not
have the same all the time because people are getting used to it while it's
good for branding and be separated I think and I tested it I think it
definitely helps you to be a bit different you can see the difference on
the third one here for example where I'm using a different symbol layer it's out
time from daily list profits it's not it's a turn here it's a time from AV
mastery okay so it definitely helps to change
from time to time you're from email address tip number two using brackets in
the subject line not saying that you're going to do this all the time but you
can see here I put some brackets in stop wasting your time which definitely helps
this is a combination actually I have brackets a must-see affiliate robots
plus free traffic equals chi-ching and I also have a symbol so could be a good
idea to use this also from time to time tip number three
use a symbol or emoticon in the subject now I know that not all the symbols are
being shown depending it all depends on what kind of emails erase but usually
most of the people are having a yahoo or a gmail account and it works just great
so you can see here the first one is a fire symbol color the nice which is
really showing up and stick out there so limited time discount for example is the
subject line is live now next could be a simple like this one just an arrow which
will work on probably most of the mail accounts you're having there so and the
third one you can see here it's a thunder thunder symbol powerful methods
that will shock you of course it is very important to have a good subject line in
place I don't think it's necessary to to cover that so you definitely want to
have that next tip is creating curiosity and by curiosity you can see here have
you seen it yet have I seen what I mean I'm curious now
ok and I want to see what is it talking about so then there you have the the
opens okay the next one in or out regarding what okay I'm curious so you
want to make sure that the subject line you want to have some curiosity in there
and you see combined with the symbols definitely there is a big difference
here so we're going for number five here and the number five is questions ask
questions because there of course will help the curiosity and by asking
questions you're activating the brain on take action ok so as you can see here
the first one I have a symbol here 14 times more effective than email
marketing what could that be okay so there you have your curiosity by
asking a question and I'm activating my bimetallic my brain that I want to see
what this is all about and the next subject line is I'm asking why with
three wise three question marks and of course I'm using symbol both at the
start of the subject line and at the end of the subject line so definitely I'm
asking question I'm activating the brain and I'm curious to see what is he
talking about this crazy little guy out on here okay so let's have a quick look
again change your from email address brackets in the subject line and symbol
or emoticon in the subjects curiosity and of course questions I'm not saying
that you're going to use this on every email you're sending okay but definitely
use it in every second or third email or something like that and combined don't
play around a bit okay play with the email next one use a symbol next user
simple email so you're not using every time because people gets tired and you
want to have you want to be different on your emails all the time okay there you
have it time to get those five simple tips implemented on how to get your
emails opened if you liked this video make sure to subscribe to my youtube
channel make sure to hit that notification bell to be notified every
time there is a new video uploaded but most importantly there is a link below
in the description for my number one recommendation on how to make money
online okay that's it for today thanks a lot for watching and see you soon

My (Simple) 5 Step Process for Creating New Video Marketing Content - Duration: 6:27.now what I say the word process what do you think of I think of bureaucracy in
very big companies I think of bosses telling in a douche their way and not
your way I think of TPS reports from office space these are all horrible
horrific things and this is when a process it's just no good however I
found that a very thoughtful process for doing things that require creativity can
actually help with getting you into that great creative flow this is why whenever
I create videos I go through this five-step process and it really helps me
deliver the best content I can possibly create here's that process hey there add
a little tip from viewership comm where I help you exponentially grow your
viewership so you can grow your business and this is really just my five-step
process for creating videos just like this and before I go into these five
steps I just want to say that I actually do these five things in five distinct
settings I like to have like one specific morning where I do the first
step and then maybe the afternoon I'll do the second step and then maybe a
couple days later I'll do step number three I don't want to rush these things
I quite frankly each one of these steps require a different mood like I need to
be in a different frame of mind so don't force yourself to do all this in one
sitting so here they are step number one is researching topics basically what are
you creating your videos about the move that you're gonna be in is just kind of
a curious mood this is really where you're gonna be creeping the internet on
what topics are already resonating with your existing audience like I always say
create content that your audience wants to hear about not what you want to
create for them so spend a lot of time researching topics use keyword planner
tool Google's keyword planner tool use all the tools at your disposal look at
your competitors YouTube channels or their LinkedIn pages to see what content
is clearly hitting home and then see where you can actually make even better
content than what they're creating and most importantly make sure that you're
solving a problem YouTube conducted a study recently they
called it the values of YouTube and what they found is that seven out of ten
people use the platform to basically solve a problem that they're having so
if you can create amazing videos that are actively solving a
problem that your prospects your customers are going through right now
you're gonna have to crush on YouTube simple as that
number to create a very basic outline of your videos this is where you're gonna
basically test your knowledge you're going to solve the problem that you've
already discovered that your prospects are having this is where I really like
to even go to like a coffee shop or even just go to a different room in my home
and just kind of sit down and brainstorm and write out some basic outlines I'll
usually do like a three-step system a five step system a seven step whatever
it is it just write that that outline of what it is that I would actually teach
to be able to solve that problem step number three is I have an outside
researcher add research to my outline I hire people to actually go through my
content and add in very useful studies useful information so that the content
is more dense and it gives it more credibility and by the way sometimes my
researcher will find information in my outline and she'll say now Adam sorry
that's actually not true anymore and because she's done this it's
actually setting me up to be even more credible in my field because I'm not
releasing outdated information I'm always completely up to date on what's
really happening in the marketplace and this is something all of you should be
thinking about when you're creating new content step number four is then
injecting emotion into the videos this is where you want to just get creative
you want to get into like a fun mood sometimes I'll put on like Michael
Jackson music again it's like a fun place move it and just like have some
fun with it and go through now the basic outline and all the research and just
think where can I add some funny moments where can I add you know kind of a story
about my life where I kind of struggled a little bit and just go through the
video and just insert a little bit of emotional component to the video this is
the part where people are really gonna connect you now for those of you who've
seen my sexy confidence videos you'll notice that I inject a lot of emotion to
those videos I'm usually like wearing a wig in some of the videos I'm usually
trying to use as much punching humor as I possibly can
sometimes as funny sometimes this is a really stupid but I do it anyways and at
first I used to struggle with this process it would make me so nervous
releasing this type of content but over time I realized that this is what people
relate to this is what people want to see they want fast paced they want funny
they want in trusting they want some that keeps their
attention and a lot of people miss this the step is injecting the emotions so if
you can do this you're gonna be so much further ahead than all of your
competition now finally number five is just go ahead
and shoot the videos now a few years ago I used to actually work with a
videographer we'd have a specific day where I'd shoot like 12 videos at a time
and we have to go there set up I'd have to bring like three different changes of
clothing to the studio and it'd be like a whole thing but ever since I built the
studio at my home this actually made this the video shooting process so much
better because I know this one thing when it comes to shooting video and that
is the better mood that I'm in the better the videos will be so sometimes
if I've had kind of like a rough day I've had a few rough emails I've had a
few rough client calls I'll put off my shoot to another day when I'm just
finally feeling really good I go to the gym I've been eating well I'm in like a
good just mental state that's when you want to shoot your videos and I really
encourage everyone who is shooting video to make sure you do when you're in that
fun playful mood right you want to have that kind of it's all about your mental
state and if your mental state is positive you're feeling good then your
videos are gonna be great you're gonna smile war you're gonna be more animated
you're gonna be more energetic so really think about that when you finally have
your shoot day make sure you're eating right sometimes you you might have a
specific day where you have to shoot video I understand not everyone has a
studio at their home but regardless make sure you eat well you go to the gym you
exercise you're feeling good and then go into it even listen to like fun music
get into that fun peak mental state your videos will be much better so there you
have it there's my five step process for shooting video I'd love to hear from all
of you what is your process are there any other components that you'd like to
add to this list please leave a comment right there below and also if you want
to learn more about how it is that you can grow your channel on YouTube to be
able to expand your business and really build that footprint online go and head
on over viewership comm and join that email list because we have a ton of
awesome goodies they can get every single week so thank you so much for
watching and I'll speak to you very soon bye bye

How To Stop Dog Vomiting After Drinking Water? Simple 4 Steps - Duration: 2:25.Hi, Mirko here from Healthy Pet Systems.
Today I will tell you how to stop dog vomiting after drinking water.
So let's dive in.
If your dog is vomiting after drinking water these means that your dog most likely does
not get enough fluids to keep himself hydrated.
However many other things can be a problem so make sure that you visit a veterinarian.
Ok, now let's see how to stop dog vomiting after drinking water:
First, raise the dog's food bowl off the floor.
My advice is that you place the bowl on a low wall, an old chair or table.
The ideal size is that the bowl is above the dog's shoulder height.
Also, after your canine eats or drinks, it is advisable to keep him in a raised position
for 10 minutes.
Second, slow down your greedy eater.
If your pet loves to gulp food very fast, this may result in the dog starts to vomiting
later.
To deal with this problem I suggest you add rocks in your dog bowl which are too large
to swallow or buy a slow feeder platter from the store.
Third, alleviate motion sickness.
Dogs can sometimes suffer from motion sickness.
If you feed your dog before traveling in a car then vomiting is not rare situation.
Fourth, seek the help of your vet.
The best thing you can do is consult your pet doctor.
In such a case, your veterinarian may determine other problems that might occur.
Before you go to the vet I suggest you look at the dog vomit and make a note of the vomit
appearance.
This can help vet a lot.
To find out more, I created a great guide about dog vomiting.
In it, you will find how to stop dog vomiting, top 16 reasons why my dog is vomiting, how
can I stop my dog from vomiting in the car, what to do for dog who is vomiting, how can
I induce vomiting in a dog, and a lot more.

Editing Landscape Photography in 5 minutes | Keeping Lightroom Simple! (Part 2) - Duration: 8:36.yes let's keep Lightroom simple if you think that editing landscape photography
with lighroom it's a very complicated process and it's very long this video is
for you because we are going to work just with one panel the basic panel and
we will try to edit a photo in less than five minutes
welcome to my channel here
I talk about photography and I also make videos just like this one where I share
some editing tips so if you are here for the first time it might be a good idea
to subscribe this is part 2 of the mini series of three videos that I made to
help you guys creating a very simple and easy-to-follow workflow to edit your
landscape photography in Lightroom if for any reason you missed part one I
strongly recommend you to watch it first it's right here and I will put a link in
the description as well
all right let's start the editing process if you saw last week video part
1 of these miniseries you know that I usually take care
first of all of 5 adjustments that will prepare my raw file for editing I did
that already so if you don't know what to do go back to that video and check it
out otherwise if you're ready we will start of course from the develop module
and as you can see I already have opened the basic panel because today my goal is
to try to edit this photo in less than 5 minutes
just using one panel the the basic panel let's go the very first thing that we do
in the basic panel is to pick the right color profile by default Adobe Lightroom
will give you the standard profile you can see by clicking on the grid which
are the different options available and by hovering over you see the difference
I usually like to use either the landscape or the color profile let's go
with the landscape profile by the way this photo is taken in Iceland this is
Hvitserkur I'm not sure about the pronunciation this is a very interesting
rock formation that is in the northwest of Iceland I'm here just before sunset
unfortunately I don't have a fantastic light nevertheless I used the 10 stops
ND filter to have these 178 179 seconds long exposure f/16 ISO 200 and I
used f/16 rather than the usual f/8 or f/11 because I'm very very close to
these rocks in the foreground and I wanted to make sure that they were
in focus and because I used a neutral density filter in this case is the Lee
filters big stopper so it's 10 stops of neutral density filter the image has a
blue cast so a very important thing we need to do is to make sure to get the
right white balance to do so I will actually open the left panel because
when I pick the target tool and I go to search for my neutral target I can see a
preview on the left corner to see if that will actually correspond to what I
saw when I took the photo then you want to make sure to pick either a gray a
black or white pure black pure white in order to make sure that you have the
right white balance let's go for this one looks good I will keep it and now I
can close the Left panel before we move on I want to point out at the histogram
as you can see I have a lot of details on the right okay so my video about
exposing to the right these will guarantee that even when I bring up the
shadows I will not increase the noise of this
long exposure although this istagram looks good I want to expand it to the
maximum and to do so I will hold the shift key double click on white and
double click on black and so the whites and the blacks of the images will be
extended to the limit without clipping the zero and the 100 value in this way
over the widest histogram possible and now I can work with my highlights and I
will decrease the highlights a little bit I will increase the shadows and here
looks good
and I will increase my contrast now that the tone and the exposure of the picture
looks the way I like I will go and work in the colors and here in the bottom of
the basic panel we'll find the clarity which I will increase just a tiny bit
the clarity is the contrast of the mid-tones so just don't go crazy with it
you see if I go to 100 this image looks completely surreal but just adding a
little bit it's fine I will not touch the Dehaze for this picture and instead
I will increase the vibrance and the vibrance is the saturation of the most
muted colors while the saturation will increase the saturation to every single
color at the same time and I will actually add a little saturation right
now we can see the before and after as you can see just using the basic panel
and a lot less than five minutes we could dramatically change the raw file
we start with but but you did see the thumbnail which I will show it right now
it looks different right this image stands out more it has more character I
would say it pops and this is exactly what we are going to talk about next
week in fact the last video of this Lightroom editing mini series is
dedicated to how make your images pop also if you like to be challenged I
encourage you to watch next week video as in that video I'm going to suggest a
photo edit assignment photo edit challenge that will push you to use all
the tips and techniques that I have been sharing in these three videos and really
curious to see the results especially to understand if these videos are
actually effective and this is all for today I hope you enjoyed this video I
hope these videos are useful for you and if they are I'll be very happy
if you can like this video share with your friends of course leave me a
comment and subscribe if you didn't yet but if you did subscribe you can
actually hit the bell in order to get notifications every time I post a new
video thanks for watching and I will see you in the next one

Simple Linear Regression | Statistics Tutorial #32 | MarinStatsLectures - Duration: 18:33.In this video we're going to talk about an introduction to simple linear
regression. We're gonna use this to begin to lay a foundation for regression
models and what they are in general; so simple linear regression can be used
when our Y variable is numeric or continuous and our X variable is also
numeric or continuous although in fact the X variable can actually be
categorical or a factor. Okay but we'll get to that later.
we'll start with the kind of conventional intro where x and y are
both numeric variables to work through the concepts. we're going to work with
this example here so we're gonna look at the relationship between X being the
gestational age of a baby and Y being their head circumference measured in
centimetres. Okay so this data is looking at gestational age and head
circumference for 39 low birth weight babies. If we were to calculate Pearson's
correlation for this data we'd find that it's going to come out to be 0.78
but one thing about the correlation coefficient is that it only
helps describe the direction and strength of association so here we can
see there's a positive association: as x increases Y increases and this
tells us something about the strength of the linear Association but it doesn't
allow us to say anything about the effect of X on Y; so for example every
time gestational age increases by one day what do we expect to happen to the
head circumference or if we want to build a model in a predictive sense use
the gestational age to try and estimate what the head circumference will be so
Pearson's correlation is a useful measure for summarizing an association
but it's quite limited so what we're going to do is we're going to start to
build up the idea of how we can model Y as a linear function of X because that's
what linear regression is all about so let me just draw the line here to try
and describe what I mean by that; we can try and fit a line through this that
helps us say for a given x value what do we think the Y value is and so this is
our first encounter of using the term model. A lot of stuff we talked
about earlier t-test, two sample t-test anova, chi-square test, all these can be
thought of as very simple models but this is the first time we're
actually going to really start to explore the concept of modeling. Okay so
it's important to start off with a few notes here: the first is a quote from a
relatively well known statistician George Box and he had said: all models
are wrong but some are useful; again I think this makes a great point and that
all models and for the most part all theory, they are oversimplifications of
reality and that end up magnifying or highlighting some aspects and ignoring
others and so here when we build this model to describe a relationship between
gestational age and head circumference we're ignoring other certain factors
we're ignoring biological variability we're ignoring things like
the age of the mother or father, what's the weight of the mother or father are
probably an important one, what's the head circumference of the mother or
father, so the point is that we're ignoring some aspects and we're going to
try and highlight some others what we're going to try and do here is we're going
to start to build up simple linear regression and we're going to use it as
a foundation for understanding regression models in general later after
an intro stats course you tend to move into stuff like generalized linear
models where you start to learn about logistic regression models Poisson
regression models maybe survival models or mixed effects models these different
sorts of things and these are all just a step up from what simple linear
regression is. So what we want to do is lay a good foundation for understanding
what is regression, what are the important concepts, what are the
interpretations, and what are the limitations, these sorts of things and we
can use that as a really good foundation for understanding all the higher level
models; okay in some sense all of these regression models try and model Y as
some function of X or X variables. so again we're going to use this to set a
foundation. So what we do is we're to start by introducing just some of the
terminology and some of the concepts around simple linear regression. so first
what I'm going to do is just label one of the observations here we're going to
pick on this one here and for this one this we label xi this is the observed X
value for person i
and this here we label yi, it's the observed Y value for person i, alright so
for this baby here's their observed gestational age
and their observed head circumference; we can also use the regression line to
start to try and estimate Y values. so for this particular individual here
at a hundred and eighty days of gestation our model would estimate that
their head circumference is roughly 25 okay that's what we predict our
estimated should be; so we're going to label this yi-hat (Yi^)
a hat (^) to indicate that it's an estimated value or we could also
label it the mean and again hat (^) to indicate it's an estimated mean of Y
given X. in a moment will differentiate between these two and what we mean by
Yi verse mu of Y given X but give it a moment and we'll get to that. The next
thing we want to label here is this difference here: this is the distance
between the observed Y value for this individual and their estimated Y value
okay so this distance here we're gonna label ei okay it's the error or the
residual it's the difference between the observed Y and the predicted or
estimated Y: here it can be written (yi- yi^) the difference between
the observed y value and the predictor estimated y value; so this gets
called a error or residual okay there is a slight difference between the two the
difference is that the term error is generally reserved for kind of the
theoretical errors and when it's an observed error for a set of data we call
it a residual but for the most part the term error and residual tend to get used
interchangeably, very similar to the concept of a
standard deviation and a sample standard deviation like one is the theoretical one
one is the observed one for sample of data but they're the exact same
conceptually; okay so for the most part you're going to hear error and residual
used interchangeably now let's label the regression line that
we fit. This here is the line that we fit and we'll get to talking about how we
choose this line but first we can label this as yi^ or the estimated mean of
Y given X is b-not + b1X and this b-not being the y-intercept and b1
being the slope of the line. So in order to define a line we need to give it some
point on the line as well as the slope and carry the rate of increase for the
line, the points we choose are the y-intercept we'll get to talking about
what that is in a moment but to say it quickly
it's where the line crosses the y axis at x equals 0 so let's take a moment
here to talk about the difference between labeling this is yi or miu of y
we can think of this line as either modeling individuals so the predicted
value for an individual so for a baby of 180 days gestation we predict or we
estimate that their head circumference will be about 25 centimetres. We can also
think of this line as modeling the estimated mean
of a population: for babies of 180 days gestation we estimate that the average
head circumference is going to be 25 centimetres. We tend to estimate that
people are going to take on the mean value okay so this line we can think of
as representing predicted values for individuals or estimating the mean for a
population; there is a slight difference between the two and we're
going to build up to that and talk a bit more about it later that mainly has to
do with the estimate of the variability around each of these there's gonna be
more variability in the estimate of individuals head circumference than the
mean for a population okay but we'll we'll build our way up to that some
other important notes if you reach back to things you may recall from
earlier training and math sometimes the equation for a line gets written as y= mX+b
and so here b being the intercept and m being the slope. Another important
note to just add in there sometimes when you look at different sources different
instructors different textbooks different things sometimes this gets
written as a+bX a being the intercept b being the slope. Okay so the
notation I'm going to stick to using is b-not for the intercept b1 for the slope.
and but just a note you do see different, slightly different notation use
A separate topic that is not going to fit into this video it's something
that that should be explored later is how we choose the best line well how we
define the best line and then how we choose that. The quick version now
to say the key terms is we use something called the method of least squares where
we try to minimize the sum of squared error we can explore that concept later
this ends up being the same as using a method of maximum likelihood again
that's a topic beyond the scope of this simple intro video but something that is
worth exploring later so for now let's just suppose that the equation for the
line our choice for the best line comes out to be
yi^; here the estimated mean of Y given X
5.06+ 0.11X. 0.11 times X, the gestational age plus 5.06 is going to
give us the predicted head circumference for a baby or the estimated mean for
that value of x. now let's talk about the slope as well as the intercept for this
line: so first let's get to the slope; the slope which we label b1 in terms of a
formula comes out to be the correlation times the standard deviation of the Y
values of the head circumference is over the standard deviation of the X values
the standard deviation of the gestational ages, this came out to be 0.11 centimetres
An important note we don't really want to focus on plugging
into formulas okay you're probably not going to spend much time in your life
trying to calculate the slope and the intercept for a regression line by hand
but the reason that I show this formula is to get some intuition into what the
slope for the regression line is or how it's being estimated so you can notice
here that the slope is essentially the correlation, the measure of
association between x and y but it gets scaled by the standard deviation of Y
over the standard deviation of X. And if we think about this for a moment
suppose we change the unit you have gestational date gestational age from
days suppose we change it to weeks okay what would happen the 210 days sitting
here becomes 30 weeks, so if we were to redo this plot instead of using X in
days using X in weeks, the 210 days is gonna scale all the way back here to
30 weeks. The plot is going to shift up, the slope of the line is going to shift up
The correlation is going to be the same, right, correlation between x and
y is independent of units so this slope here is essentially taking the
correlation but building in the scale of x and the scale of y,
the units of x and y. What this ends up the interpretation of the slope
is it tells us the change in Y for a one unit change in X, so to say that in words
what it's telling us is every time the gestational age increases by one day we
associate that with an increase of 0.11 centimetres in head circumference
every time X goes up by one what do we expect to happen to Y? each additional
day of gestation is associated with an increase of 0.11 centimetres in the
head circumference now let's talk about the y-intercept.
In terms of a formula the intercept b-not comes out to be the mean of Y minus the slope times the mean of X.
If you work this out numerically we find that comes out to be
5.06 centimetres and again the interpretation of this is the
y-intercept tells us the estimated y value for x equals zero or what's the
value of y when x equals zero right again where does the line cross the y
axis at x equals zero. Okay so in our particular example this would be telling
us what's the estimated head circumference for a baby of zero days
gestation. Now you're probably gonna notice that doesn't really have a
meaningful interpretation, right! what's the the size you know of a head
circumference for a baby who's been in a stomach for zero days right it doesn't
exist so the intercept does not always have a meaningful interpretation and
here it's because we haven't even observed data in the range of x equals 0
So it doesn't really make sense to interpret you know what's a y-value for
x equals zero when we have no idea right we've only observed x-values of 160 or
larger we can give the intercept a more meaningful interpretation by doing
something called centering the X variable
Again that's a topic beyond this video we can explore that separately but
essentially what it involves doing is labeling some other point in
here as being the zero observation so if we were to centre it around 2 that would
be like calling sorry centre around 200, calling 200 days zero and then our
intercept would be where is the line cross the y axis at x equals zero but
again that was kind of a very quick explanation we'll explore the concept of
centering separately so there's all sorts of reasons for building a
regression model for now we just want to introduce the concepts of a regression
model and some of the important parts what is the slope what's the intercept
what are some of the interpretations of these coefficients and later we'll get
up to building up to goals for regression models but let's do a very
quick overview of that now: so breaking it into two broad classes the goals for
our model one thing we might want to do is estimate the effect of X on Y okay so
that might be our focus and that essentially means we're really
interested in this slope term here estimating and interpreting this okay
what is the effect of X on Y every time gestational age goes up by one day what
happens to the head circumference. we estimate it goes up by 0.11 centimetres
so this sometimes gets called an effect size model or estimating the effect of X
on Y, a separate focus is a predictive model so we may really wanting to
be building a model to try and predict Y, right, give us an x value as an input
predict what Y will be. So let's take a look at doing that here if we want to
predict the Y value 5.06 plus 0.11 times the gestational age of 180 so I'm
going to use 180, for 180 days gestation what do we estimate or predict the head
circumference to be if you work that out it's going to come up to 24.9 centimetres
So 480 days gestation we predict that the head circumference
will be 24.9 centimetres. So we'll expand later on the kind of
competing goals, are we really trying to estimate the effect of X on Y or is our
focus more predictive and trying to predict the outcome. When we get to
multiple linear regression and including multiple X variables the way we built
the model and the variables we select will depend will be different it will
depend on is our ultimate goal to predict the outcome or is our ultimate
goal to get an unbiased estimate of the slope or the effect of X on Y but we'll
build up to that later.
Like all these approaches there are some necessary
assumptions for building a linear regression model and we'll explore those
separately they separately we'll look at what are the assumptions for this model
how can we check the assumptions as well as what can we do if some of the
assumptions aren't met how can we try and address violations or what are
alternative approaches we might try using. The final note is that it's worth
noting that linear regression is an absolutely huge topic and it can be a
course or multiple courses on its own so really what we want to do here is
exploring the idea of what is linear regression what are some of its uses
some of the important components and will slowly build on to it as we progress through the course

3 Simple Steps to Getting Started with Email Marketing | Small Business Tips - Duration: 11:12.Can you dedicate your next workday to getting set up with email marketing? If you
can just clear your plate for one day and use my three simple steps, you can be
fully set up to start email marketing. These steps I'm about to outline
seem like kind of a lot and truthfully they are but the trick is to just keep
moving through them, set aside perfection for just one day, and keep things as
simple as possible. Nothing in business is ever 100% finished, and you can always
go back and improve and add but I find that for most people that pressure of
perfection and getting it 100% right the first time is what holds us back from
getting anything done. And email marketing is so important to an online
business in fact everything I do in my business goes back to two things: they
always point back to growing my website traffic and growing my email list. My
website and my email list are the only two things I fully control and own. My
social media handles and profiles are actually owned by the social media
platforms that they're on and I'm there at their discretion but I own my website
and I own my email list. With those two things I can weather a lot of business
storms. So without further ado let's jump into these three steps.
So first we need somewhere to collect all these email addresses that we're going to be getting
and that is in an email service provider. In my marketing career I've used almost
a dozen different email marketing platforms. Some were in my corporate
career some have been on behalf of clients that I work with, and some of
them are ones that I actually use and employ in my own business of Molly
Marshall Marketing and I can tell you that I have seen the good, the bad, and
the very ugly of email marketing platforms. I'm not going to do a deep
dive into how to pick the best email marketing platform for you but i'm just
gonna give you an overview and a couple of things to think about. So the first is
features. Pretty obvious, right? But it's really important to think about how
you're going to be using your email marketing platform in your business.
For instance you might think about: do you need to be able to use your email
marketing for complex automations or sales funnels
or even complicated tagging? Or, are you just gonna use it to touch base with
your subscribers once a month, in like a newsletter format? Another thing you
might want to think about is: do you need your email marketing platform to have
really nice opt-in pages and customizable forms, or are you using a
separate tool? I encourage you to just spend like 15 minutes thinking about
what your needs are now and what you need for when you grow. Can you start
with something simple now and move to a new platform in the future? Is that going
to be a really big pain to you? Is that going to be a really big expense? There
isn't a right or wrong answer, you just need to figure out what's best for you.
The next thing to think about is cost. All of these features whether you have
them or you don't are going to influence the cost of the platform. So on the low
end you have something like a MailChimp that can sometimes even be used for free
up until you have a certain subscriber number. That's on the low end. On the high
end it could be an email marketing platform that's part of a larger CRM or
a customer relationship management software that could be costing thousands
of dollars a year. Again, you'll need to balance your needs with what you're able
and willing to pay right now. I have two email marketing platforms that I
recommend and use. The first one is that I use personally in my own business and
it is ConvertKit. I mentioned earlier in this video that I've used almost a dozen
different email marketing platforms over the years and what I love about
ConvertKit is that it is so versatile robust and affordable. I don't want to
bad-mouth platforms that I've used in the past, but the overarching reason was
that they just weren't robust and didn't have the features that I needed at a
price that I can afford. While I might pay a little bit more each month to use
ConvertKit I was also able to simplify the tools that I use in my business and
I even was able to eliminate like a separate landing page tool so in the end
I'm saving money. If you'd like to know more about why I use and love and
recommend ConvertKit you can watch my ConvertKit demo video which is linked
below. There's another email marketing platform that I recommend and I
recommend this one for either smaller clients, or people that are just getting
started with email marketing and don't have a list yet or don't have a very big
list, or local businesses and that is MailChimp. MailChimp is really easy
and simple to use and it's extremely affordable so it's a great option to
start on. So next after you've secured your email service provider, you need an
incentive to get people to join your list, and this is called
a lead magnet. So one option, one thing you could do, is just create your email
list and start telling people about it and asking them to join. But truthfully
and realistically most people are going to ignore that and not join your list. So
the most effective way to build your list is through some kind of exchange of
value. You're saying, "if you provide your email address to me, I will give you
something that's going to help you and move you forward." Whether it's in your
business or in your life or in your relationships, it depends on what
business you're in but it's that exchange of value. Lead
magnets are known by tons of different names so you may have heard them called
things like freebies, opt-ins, free gifts, freemiums, or even content upgrades,
they're all the same thing. Since we're trying to get you all set up
with email marketing in just one business day, we need to keep this pretty
simple but I'm going to give you three characteristics of great lead magnets. The
first is that your lead magnet is related to your core offer. So I'm going
to give you an example here: if you're a web designer your core offer is that you
offer web design services. What you want is for people to hire you to build them
a web site. So a good example of a lead magnet might be like a checklist of
questions that people should ask a potential web designer before they hire
them, or maybe it's some kind of guide on what the best website platform is like
WordPress versus Squarespace. And in that lead magnet, what you would want to do is
make whatever platform that you like to develop on the "winner" to encourage
people to go your way and to hire you. A poor example for a lead magnet for a web
designer would be something on, you know, how to drive more traffic to your
website. While it's related and while it's valuable that doesn't help them to
make that decision to hire you for their web design needs. That's actually
something that they would need after they had a new website so that's not
helping them down their buyer's journey. Number two is that it's quick and easy
to consume great ideas for your very first lead magnet are
things like short educational videos, checklists, PDF guides, a quiz, an
email-based mini course, like maybe three of your favorite tips dripped out over a
few days, or even something like a free trial. It should be fairly quick and easy
to consume. From time to time you do see larger lead magnets like free ebooks
being offered, but for now because we want to keep moving forward, we want to
get people consuming this content, we want to get it created, we want to get it
out there, we're gonna keep it really simple. Third is that your lead magnet
provides a quick win or transformation. A great lead magnet solves a very specific
issue and after someone has had a chance to go through it and consume it there
should be some change for them. So like in my earlier example of the web
designer that created a checklist of questions that people should ask a
potential hire, someone that they want to hire to do web design work for them that
gives the person consuming a concrete tool to use that actually helps them
make a decision by taking some of the stress off and letting them know the
types of questions that they should ask. So now we have a lead magnet to offer in
exchange for an email address, and we have somewhere for those email addresses
to go in an email service provider. The last thing we need to bridge the gap
between those two is an opt-in form. Both ConvertKit and MailChimp have simple
forms that are easy to customize and embed anywhere on your website and
ConvertKit even has a more advanced option where you can create standalone
opt-in pages that look really nice. You can see more about how that works with
ConvertKit by watching the demo video that I have linked below. So in addition
to a title that describes what lead magnet you're offering, your opt-in form
just needs three simple things. The first is a field for their first name, the
second is a field for an email address, and the third is a button with a great
call to action on it. There are a few other bells and whistles you can add to a form to
increase conversions and they are a thumbnail of the lead magnet so people
can kind of see what they're getting, and the other thing is just a few
benefits-focused bullets that communicate what they're going to gain by downloading
whatever it is you have to offer. So first with the informational fields I
recommend only asking for first name and email address. I like to keep things
really, really simple and by only asking for name and email you're removing a lot
of the barriers for someone to fill that out. The longer your form is the less
likely someone is to get through it and you really want to exchange that value
really quickly. You want to get that name and email address and you want to be
able to send them what they're requesting from you. Once you get someone
on your list you can always go back and ask for more information, you can ask
them to update their subscriber info and you can also learn a lot about them by
watching what they do in emails you, can pay attention to the types of links they
click. You can learn so much about them by their behavior over time so you don't
need to ask for it all up front. Next was the call to action on the button. You can
make your button more enticing to click by steering clear of things like "submit"
or "enter" or "sign up." Those types of things are a little boring and can be a
little intimidating so especially something like sign up like it makes it
sound like you're gonna send them a ton of stuff. So you can do something like
"send me my guide" or "yes! I want in" or something like that that's just really
active and exciting and makes people want to click. An image of your lead
magnet is also a really nice thing to add. People like to kind of see what
they're getting. It doesn't need to be readable, you don't want them to be able
to consume the whole thing from the thumbnail, but just give them an idea of
what to expect. It doesn't have to be perfect or super fancy but you can hire
a graphic designer on a site like Upwork or Fiverr, or you can even do it
yourself and just take things kind of to the next level, add a little design
element to it in a free program like Canva. Finally, if you have room add a few
bullets about what someone will gain by consuming your lead magnet. For instance
on my Instagram strategy guide landing page I tell people that I'm sharing
secrets to powerful storytelling that propel customers to buy, I'm sharing
dozens of content ideas to keep their creative juices flowing, and tips on
hashtags to ensure that their posts reach more potential customers. So
chances are, you already have an email marketing platform that you're using. You
just need to put your head down on creating a lead magnet and creating an
opt-in form that converts. Once these pieces are in place, you're ready to
start list building and that's a topic that I'm going to cover in a future
video. In the meantime, if you'd like to learn more about how to properly onboard
new subscribers, and how to grow your list large and fast, you can sign up for
my on demand email marketing workshop at MollyMarshallMarketing.com/email
In the comments below tell me your idea for a lead magnet and make
sure to subscribe for future videos.

Relieving chronic Lyme disease symptoms with one simple tool - Duration: 15:25.All right
Hello everybody. My name is Lauren Stegenga
and I'm so excited to bring a special guest to Empowering the Village today and really what we're doing is
Bringing awareness to amazing people amazing businesses that are really impacting our community. There's so many different ways
Really with the same mission of empowering people through wellness whether that's mind, body, or spirit and there's so many different
approaches so I
Wanted to introduce my guest, Shona Curley from Red Kite Meditations, correct?
Shona so thank you for coming on and the impact that you've had with the Lyme disease community
is really what I saw and I just wanted to bring you on and so excited to speak to you to
Thank you for coming on
So could you just start and just tell us about you and the red kite meditations and what that really is bringing to the community
Absolutely, so I've had mine for a bit. I think I got it in 2013. That's when I was bitten by a tick.
I didn't get sick for a little while. It sort of came on slowly. But now I've been in treatment for over a year
but before I knew that I had Lyme I started treating myself through meditations to
sort of reharmonization
Systems in my own body that I felt were so affected by whatever it was that was going on
So by last year before I was diagnosed I had written six
relatively long meditations each of which focuses on a different physiological system from the lymphatic system
To liver kidney detox to softening the vagus nerve and soothing anxiety. And insomnia
And various others the immune system, bone marrow and all of those systems
They were the places in my own body that I felt and by the disease and then when I was actually diagnosed with Lyme
It was a huge relief a because I finally knew that I wasn't insane
And also when I started to research Lyme disease it was validating because all of these systems are very much affected by one
So what I was sensing on an internal level was absolutely true
And it was at that point that I started feeling like I should put these out there for other people
especially as I read how many other people especially women are affected by Lyme disease and
particularly, the insomnia and anxiety at Lyme chronic Lyme can create
So it's my mission through recognitions
Just to share
meditative and movement tools that have helped me and my healing process and that continue to help me because treatment
Is such a long story it's not like oh, I finally got a diagnosis. So in two weeks and I'm going back to work
It's a little different now because you have that
Diagnosis. Yeah, I mean it's a weight off your shoulders to know what's wrong and it's also
Quite a long journey to find your way back to healing and what healing is may not look exactly like it
was before you got Lyme disease
so I
Want my website to be a resource for people as they go through the long journey of treatment and to help them on the days
They don't have an IV or they don't have a lymphatic massage
It's something you can do, the meditations in particular something you can do when your nervous system is just freaking out
You need extra help.
You need a little extra help. Yeah, and it's interesting because you know during treatments
Those are that specific time, so I remember you mentioning where
so obviously that insomnia is when you're trying to be sleep, and so those
Meditations are really available to you at any time of the day because it's it's not just you had a good day
it's sometimes you had a good hour.
So you mentioned about retraining the body, could you tell us about that process?
Retraining the brain you mean? Yes, when you were talking about the meditations and retraining. Oh I see so like retraining the systems, the physiological systems
Yeah, I think if that really is brain retraining
Because all of the systems are responsive to the brain essentially the brain is sort of master organizer
so and unfortunately with Lyme disease the brain can be so affected especially with neuro lyme and the
anxiety that that causes
And the systems themselves can be infected by the bacteria. So you have kind of a double whammy
With the bacteria and then the brain having a hard time organizing because of the infection. So for me the meditations are way
to
Help my brain
Figure out how to find a way back to homeostasis for those systems like if my
You know for a lot of one for just an example, my liver was really just not able to function it
Just wasn't, it was overwhelmed by the toxicity that the bacteria create and it just would feel like a sort of inner lump
It just wasn't doing its job it just couldn't handle it
so by using the meditation the liver meditation the detox liver and kidney meditation really brings heat into the liver and kidneys.
By using that image of fire and heat and sort of penetrating
Burning sensation, that would be good that would come into the liver. It just enlivened that tissue and felt good. It's like a good fire
Wow that's
Brilliant
It works which is just amazing thing on earth that you can visualize these systems and they respond
And especially during in between sessions and treatments and whatever you're doing on your journey. That's
what I thought what when you're talking about that is the simplicity of it where if you don't have
Clarity in the brain at that moment
What you're offering the community is a really simple tool where you just press play
and
you don't have to do it by yourself. Right. Because even you know, I have a lot of and
experiencial anatomy physiology
But for me if I would wake up in the middle of the night and be having a panic attack
I couldn't do it by myself
even with all the training that I have so I
Reported these meditations for myself first and I would just play them at 3 a.m. or
4 a.m. Or whenever it was that I would just be really struggling and alone and they worked
It helps my nervous system. And that's the key whether you understand meditation or not, the key is that it works! You don't have to understand it. That is the brillance of it
Could you talk about
the ability for the thoughts to change the physical body and kind of how
the brain and the body kind of work together because that's really powerful and I just want people to understand the
connection and at least from your perspective
Well, I think it's a bit mysterious looking honestly, I think that science
Absolutely does not understand it completely yet. The only thing that we can say is that it actually does work and
one of the ways that
Science has actually been able to look at this is and this is how I first started exploring it was through dance and movement
So I was a dancer in my twenties and thirties and we were taught from the viewing like in college
We were taught that there is something called armchair rehearsal if you lay back
And you had a difficult sequence of movement that you wanted to perfect. You could run through it in your mind
the way you
wanted it to feel, the grace and power that you wanted to express through the movement and all of your motor nerves would fire the
Same pathways as they would fire if he were actually dancing. So armchair reversal is actually in some cases
better than
Actual physical rehearsal because in physical rehearsal you might be struggling and your brain might not be able to find that smoothness or that grace
But if you imagine it your motor nerves would figure out how to do that for you and when you stood up and did it
again, it would be
Doable and I just so blown away by that in college my early 20s and how will it work and we all did it
performing we all
Integrated that into a rehearsal project process because it was so effective
And I took that into now
You know for a long time I did rehabilitation wouldn't work with people and still do that through my Pilates studio
So that was about if you have a muscle that is not firing
That's just not wired up to your brain anymore because of injury you can imagine it firing
I believe that motor sensory connection will start to fire again and the same thing is true for
Physiology if you have a liver that just isn't really working or you have a lymphatic system that is overburdened and not able to flow
by using the imagery by using the
feeling imagery of what it would be like if it were flowing if things were moving well and
Those images don't have to be cellular physiological. They can be poetic like amazingly there's such an
Intricate neural connection between the brain and the body regardless of what part of the body or system you're talking about
The brain is linked. It's woven in it's all the same as you use that imagery the systems respond and
you know now I do quite a bit of bodywork with people I work with people that have lung disease and
If we sit there in my hands on their head and they're imagining their lymph starting to flow through their brain
And I'm imagining it. I mean, it's just immediate you can feel it start to move
They can feel it start to move and the same thing is true for meditation. Wow, that is dynamic.
This is a magic tool that lives inside of each of us and we can use it to help heal chronic illness
And I when you're talking about it, it's like Lyme disease is obviously impacted your own personal life
I could see this helping so many people just with that commonality of
Chronic disease or you just aren't sure why things aren't working. I mean you mentioned the liver
The liver has just a few jobs
Poor thing I know so yeah anything you can do to just
nurture that and so if it's simply by pressing play for a meditation
That's such a gift especially the people. Yeah, yeah
amazing responses from people who are able to sleep without drugs, you know and feel their anxiety decrease and that just is
What I live for at this point
Yeah, is there for the viewers, is there anything just a message of hope that you would like to leave them
During, if they're having a rough day
Or just something that helped you through this time.
Think just that you're not alone. There are so many people suffering with Lyme disease right now. It's really
one of the I think one of the biggest issues
of our time in terms of health and I think we feel alone because conventional
medicine doesn't recognize us yet, but
There's a lot of people going through the same process and the same journey and it's long and it's challenging
It's emotional. It's intense
Yeah
It's a journey. I mean, it's I mean, honestly, I think it's a spiritual journey and if you can find your way through
Everyday you're doing it. You are doing it
With you and love you doing the process
Yeah, and it is just the nurturing I've just coming together and I love your message it's you are not alone
No matter what you're going through you're not alone. I love that. That's a great message of hope
and your voice matters to you know your
It doesn't matter if modern medicine hasn't caught up yet and you're a voice and you're in fact even more your voice and experience matter
Could you speak about,
kind of the myths or
Misunderstanding I know the community I am involved in some of the families don't understand
Because some we often misdiagnosed so once I actually do get a diagnosis about of Lyme
you know, it's like oh
I'm not being lazy. I really I have no energy
It's I hear that very often and so is there anything you can share about just the family
finding their way to understand a little bit more of what's going on with that person
Actually, that's very difficult. But just because of the fact that it takes so long to diagnose and there's so little
Cultural and medical support for the experience of Lyme disease sufferers. I
Mean, I think it's a burden for the families of people with Lyme and I mean not to be underestimated
It's very hard to see the person that you love suffering and to not understand
Why you can't just call the doctor and ask for help? Why don't they help you?
and you know
I think it's gonna change in the next 10 years or so cuz there's just too many people
Getting sick for it not to cause a shift. Yeah, but for now, I mean, I think that
parents of children with Lyme disease husbands and wives with Lyme disease and vice versa
Families of people with Lyme disease need support and you know, they are also not alone. It's a horrible disease
It's it's brutal. It's chronic. It does not give up without a fight
It leaves you changed, you know, and I think people with Lyme deserve just as much support as patients with mime honestly
It's yeah my poor husband has
It's been a long haul for him
You want to divorce me? It's okay.
I get it, I won't take it personal. You didn't sign up for this and neither did I
Oh my gosh, tight and thin
How can people reach you and learn more about
You know what you offer in your journey my site, is redkitemeditation.com. Yeah, and I
Have referred people to your site
Over and over again because it's really about the simplicity of it
You know when it's in between sessions or in between treatments and whatnot. It's simply press play
It's really dynamic
Thank you so so much
I am so grateful to come across you and and I'm grateful that you were able to spend some time with us and
hear what you have to offer so
Thank you. Thank you everybody for tuning in and
We will see you next time

here I can say he plays soccer every day he plays soccer every day perfect but I
can take he away and put John John plays soccer every day clear I think you got
that right when do we actually use this simple present tense we use it to talk
about facts everybody will tell you this we talk about facts we talk about daily
routines we talk about customs etc perfect so I can say water freezes at
zero Degree it's a fact everybody knows about it awesome but I also can say my
point of view using this simple present tense it can be a fact only according to
my point of view it doesn't have to be a fact for you
you either agree or disagree with that by saying I think social media shows a
lot of fake news I think social media shows a lot of fake news it's a fact
according to my point of view but it can be a not true fact for someone I use a
simple present tense to talk about my daily routines I have breakfast every
morning she has breakfast every morning I have breakfast every morning it's the
same exact thing when you say I eat my breakfast every morning she has
breakfast every morning it's the same exact thing when you say she eats
breakfast or her breakfast every morning so when I say I eat but I would say she
eats he eats eats they eat we eat and you eat see how simple that is
I only put S or ES with a singular subject so he eats she eats it eats fire
it can place it fire replaces it so I can say fire eats wood it's a fact
everybody knows about if you put wood in the fire fire eats it I can use the
simple present tense talking about something I do every year
I travel to Egypt every year I travel to Egypt every year but if I want to say he
I would say he travels to Egypt every year it's a routine I do the traveling
every year it's a routine in our next video we'll talk about when exactly to
add S or ES for writing purposes to the main verb as well as we will talk about
how to negate the simple present tense and also have to form a question out of
the simple present tense and now let's go over some news I got from CNN and
let's see how those people use the simple present tense in their news
Cristiano Ronaldo shines as Juventus outclasses Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo shines shines is a
present simple tense shines it's a fact outclasses as well is a simple present
tense we added the es at the end all right because we're talking about a fact
Juventus played really good game and won that game one nil I believe second title
Saudi Crown Prince speaks after kashoggi's death Saudi Crown Prince speaks speaks
I'm talking about a fact here he's speaks after Khashoggi death or third title
Saudi foreign minister says says the killing of kashiggi was a tremendous
mistake surveillance footage shows saudi body double in kashiggi's clothes after he
was killed turkish source says says shows and says
simple present tense so that was our first part aboutt simple present tense
and to be continued in that second video next week inshallah and I hope now you
know how to use it when to use it how the international press uses it thanks
very much for watching guys and I'll see you next weekend peace
