LOOM KNITTING Stitches - A Purl in 8 a Simple 3 Step Stitch (Any Loom) - Duration: 4:13.
A Purl in 8 stitch on a small gauge loom. Here it is on the reverse side, so pretty.
Designed by Stephanie May also known as Loomatic Fringe, find her on Facebook
and Instagram. All right guys, let's begin. You need to cast on an even number of
pegs. The stitch is done over two pegs, so we're gonna start on the edge and you
need to knit that first edge just to get you started, because you basically are
going to start knitting with peg two. To do the figure eight, you're going to
wrap peg two first and then come back and wrap peg one. Next you need to knit
off both of these pegs. Your yarn now is behind, so what you need to do is grab
it, and bring that yarn forward, and now on peg two you're going to do a purl
stitch. Now, I'm knitting from right to left, so if you're knitting left
to right, just do the backwards. Now peg two is your new peg one. Let's
see that close up. Again, we're going to the left so we're going to wrap peg 2
and then peg one. Doing this is what causes that figure eight and you can see
it clearly, that it looks like a figure eight. So next, you're going to knit off
these two pegs. It's usually a good idea to start off with the one that you did
last but it's okay. Again your yarn, your strand of yarn is in the back so you're
gonna bring it forward and you're going to purl peg 2. All right, I think you guys
got the idea. Your peg 2 is now your peg 1 and the process starts again.
Wherever your yarn is, that's peg 1 and the one in front of it is peg two, which
is how you start your stitch. First you wrap two then you wrap one, so you go
forward and then back to create that eight, and then you have to knit off
those two pegs, bring the yarn forward and you're going to purl peg two.
After you finish that peg, after you purl, that is your new peg one, right. And, this
is what it looks like. If it's even, you see that your stitches will be staggered.
You see that, that little purl stitch that drops will be staggered. It
gives you a little bit of an opening, it's a little bit lacy but it's a lot
warmer than it looks depending on the yarn that you use. And, we're knitting
flat, if you're gonna go in the round try to do an odd number. To finish the row
here, we're gonna go ahead and do that figure 8, but for my particular edge,
and this was not recommended by the designer, I just found it works better, I
knit that last peg and that ends my row. To turn then again, I start by knitting
that first peg and that allows me then to go to peg two and wrap both one and
two. Then you just start the stitch over. That's how easy this stitch is and
it looks amazing. I really, really love it and I want to say thanks to Stephanie
for allowing me to share this with you guys. That was so awesome, for a real look
her up on Facebook or Instagram. And, here's your stitch summary for you
visual learners. Alright, that was the Purl in 8, alright guys thanks for
watching. Remember to Like, Comment and if you haven't already done so, Subscribe.

employees will literally do anything to support their company in achieving their
goals? Well this video is going to help you make your company one of them
In today's powerful video I'm walking you through the difference between a
leader and a manager and how you can yield unparalleled results in record
time by becoming an inspirational leader. Watch this video until the end because
I'm gonna give you instant access to my leadership accelerator training bundle
it's gonna give you all the strategies you need to transform from a manager to
a visionary leader. Get your team performing at higher levels now and
creating better faster results right away. If you want to leverage your time
and scale your business faster be sure to hit subscribe and tap that Bell so
you never miss an episode I'm Kelly roach business growth coach and I help
entrepreneurs around the world make six and seven-figure leaps in their business
with the strategies that I teach including the one that you're about to
learn today so as promised today we're going to talk about two key
differentiators between managers and leaders and why the results are so
astoundingly different now truth be told there are countless differences between
the two but for today's purposes in today's video we're just gonna focus on
two of them the first key differentiator is that true visionary leaders that can
get extraordinary results from their team and get their team to go above and
beyond for them are focused on simplicity and clarity in the
expectations that they give to their team their team know and understand
inside-out frontwards and backwards with the mission vision and goals of the
company are and they really truly understand what their role in making
them happen actually is now that might sound obvious but let me tell you I have
helped dozens upon dozens of managers transform into leaders and almost all of
them initially struggled with actually giving their teams a clear roadmap for
the path to profitability and how they expected them to play a role in becoming
a leader in their own right as a part of that one of the key things you have to
remember is that if you don't know exactly play-by-play how to help
each one of your employees to 4X their income meaning that
whatever they cost the company they're bringing in at least four times that
each month and growing from there then how do you expect them to know that
chances are they're looking to you to put the bumpers on the bowling alley and
give them a straight and narrow path to get there so what I want to challenge
you to do today after watching this video is to look at your best performing
person or your newest performing person that you need to make the biggest
improvement with whichever is more relevant for you and I want you to ask
yourself have you clearly laid out hour by hour minute by minute what actions
they need to take and how they need to take them in order to accomplish the
highest most profitable outcome for you having them on the team what steps can
you take today to help them get more clear and develop a better more simple
plan to achieve them so that you can both win
together never underestimate the power of making someone feel successful in
their role if you want employees that are going to go above and beyond for you
that are gonna fight for the future of your company and help you achieve your
most important business goals you have to set them up for success help them to
feel confident and give them absolute clarity in how they can help you to get
there give me an unstoppable in the comments now if you are gonna simplify
the pathway to success for your team and help your team members to thrive ok
let's move on to the second big differentiator between a manager and a
leader managers dictate and delegate tasks leaders clearly and effectively
communicate strategies and they give their team clarity around the structure
and the step by step to get there now that doesn't mean you need to
micromanage your employees but it does mean that you need to have clear
effective communication and what do I mean by that if you are expecting to
lead a high performance winning team it's incredibly important that there's a
rhythm and cadence to the way that things are run this means you have set
weekly one-on-ones with your employees or your team members your structured and
scheduled sales meetings you have set company initiatives and timelines and
effective consistent follow-up on them what I find most often is that
inexperienced managers communicate things on the fly it's very chaotic
there's there's you know half-baked ideas and plans that are never really
followed through on versus visionary leaders who are in complete control and
no matter how complex the business is or how many different initiatives are
running they stick to a set cadence there's a pace there's a communication
timeline there's follow-up and accountability for each and everything
that's rolled out and it's done with extreme intention so I'm trying to paint
a picture for you of the difference between someone who haphazardly is
giving their team tasks to do and maybe or maybe not those tasks are being
completed but tasks do not equal more profit in
your business right strategy strategic thinking innovation and working on
actual things that matter things are gonna move the needle on the bottom line
in your business that's what you need from your team and if you want to grow
from being a tactical manager that delegates and dictates tasks into a
visionary leader that inspires greatness and a team that goes above and beyond
that serve the business with the best of themselves that think outside of the box
and really are willing to do whatever it takes not only do they need clarity and
simplicity but they need clear effective communication to help everyone move
together in unison towards the common company goal give me a yes in the
comments now if you've just discovered at least one thing that you can do
better or differently to help your business grow faster so in today's video
we really focused on two core areas that you can work on starting now to
transition from a manager to an effective leader so you can 10x the
results and productivity from your team but I don't want you to stop there as
promised when you text in big ROI that's all one word big ROI to four four two
two two you can get instant access to my leadership development accelerator

through exactly the steps that you need to take starting today to 10x the
results the productivity and the performance of your team I want to help

to get it done it might just be a little 10% shift in your focus and strategy all
you need to do is text in big ROI that's all one word to four four two two two

Learn how to Crochet : Simple Heart - Crochet heart pattern - Duration: 10:13.
Welcome
Today we are going to learn how to crochet
a simple heart
Like this one here
Let's begin and see how we are going to do it
we will start off by making a circle
we start it with a chain of three stitches
and close it with a slip stitch (Sl)
then we will be working into the center of this circle
and make nine single crochet stitches (SC)
one
two
I will wrap the yarn
so I can grab it together before I cut it to get a nice finishing
now we have done two stitches
I'm inserting the hook into the center of the circle
we should insert the hook into the center of the circle, not into another stitch
three
four
five
six
seven
eight
nine
I'm cutting this end off
to make it easier for me to work
so there are my nine single crochet stitches (SC)
all done inside the circle
I will not close the circle, I will turn it over like that
again to make it more clear, I'm turning it over like that
this is the side of the circle we worked on, I will turn it over to the opposite direction
insert the hook into the first chain without increasing the height of the chain
insert the hook directly into the first stitch
and make a single crochet stitch (SC)
then in the second stitch I'm going to make a half double crochet stitch (HDC)
try to memorize the steps to make it easy for you to work properly
in the very first stitch I made a single crochet stitch (SC)
in the second stitch I made a half double crochet stitch (HDC)
get the yarn again into the second stitch and make a double crochet (DC)
so again, in the first stitch I made a single crochet stitch (SC)
in the second stitch I will be making two different stitches
the first stitch is half double crochet stitch (HDC) and the second is a double crochet (DC)
before we carry on we need to clarify that so far we made two stitches
as we said before we made nine stitches so far
here we have the first and the second stitches
the third and fourth ones
then at the fifth stitch I'm going to put a pin to mark the half
then we carry on
just to clear things up, I started off by making a single crochet stitch (SC) in the first stitch
in the second stitch I made two different stitches, the first one was the half double crochet Stitch (HDC)
and the second was a double crochet (DC)
in the third stitch I'm making two double crochet (DC)
same thing for number four, I will make two double crochet (DC)
this is the first half of the heart I made so far
I will remove the pin
by now I already know I reached the half which is fifth stitch
which is the one I'm going to make three double crochet (DC) in it
do you memorize the steps we have gone through so far?
the first on is a single crochet stitch (SC)
in the second one I made two different stitches
I started with a half double crochet stitch (HDC) and the second was a double crochet (DC)
then in the third and fourth stitches I made in each one of them two double crochet (DC)
and in the fifth stitch which is in the center I made three double crochet (DC)
to make the second half I will repeat the same process but in reverse
which means I will make two double crochet (DC) in the sixth stitch
the same for seventh stitch, two double crochet (DC)
then in the eighth stitch I will make the two different stitches but I'm starting with the double crochet (DC)
as I said before I'm repeating the same steps but in reverse
and then the half double crochet stitch (HDC)
and in the ninth stitch I will make a single crochet stitch (SC)
right now the heart shape is starting to form
we can stop now if we want a small heart
these three stitches gave me this little bump here forming the heart shape
Let's make it a little more bigger
I will repeat the steps I did at the beginning, the first stitch will be a single crochet stitch (SC)
the second stitch is a half double crochet stitch (HDC)
and then a double crochet (DC)
before we carry on we need to mark the half
look for the stitch where we made the three double crochet (DC)
I need to mark the half which is the double crochet in the middle
and that's where I'm going to put the pin
I marked the half like that
Let's continue, we started the second row the same way as the first one
we started it with a single crochet stitch (SC) in the first stitch and the second one we started it with two stitches
a half double crochet stitch (HDC) and a double crochet (DC)
then in the third stitch I will make two double crochet (DC)
and two double crochet (DC) in the fourth stitch as well
also two double crochet (DC) in the fifth stitch
I still have three stitches left
I will make in each one of them only one double crochet (DC)
to recap what we have done so far, the first stitch was a single crochet stitch (SC)
in the second stitch we made two different stitches, the first one was a half double crochet stitch (HDC)
and the second was a double crochet (DC)
in third, fourth and fifth stitches we made two double crochet (DC) in each one of them
and in the next three stitches we made only one double crochet (DC) in each one of them
then we go to the pinned stitch at the half
and make three double crochet (DC) in it
then we repeat these steps but in reverse
so here we will reverse the steps we did in this part
so unlike the first half, in the first stitch we will make only one double crochet (DC)
we will make only one double crochet (DC) in the second stitch, also one double crochet (DC) in the third stitch
in the fourth stitch we will make two
also the fifth has two as well
also there are two in the sixth stitch
in the one before last, first we will make double crochet (DC) and then a half double crochet stitch (HDC)
in the last stitch I will make a single crochet stitch (SC)
and to finish the heart I will go below here to this stitch
focus please, almost done and this is how it looks
I will go to this stitch below the single crochet stitch (SC) and make a slip Stitch (Sl)
just to close the heart shape, and then I will make a ring and cut it to finish the heart like that
and I'm going to close the heart shape with a cleaning needle
like that
I will yarn it over into the chains
I will yarn it over a little bit before I cut it
and now we made a simple heart
Thank you

Can you solve this simple puzzle that experts with PhD's got wrong? - Duration: 6:16.
Consider this puzzle that people with PhDs got wrong.
Imagine you're in a game show.
The host asks you to select one of three closed doors.
Behind one door is your dream car and behind the other doors are goats.
If you've chosen the right door you win the prize.
You choose door number 1, and the host who knows whats behind the doors, opens door number
3, which reveals a goat.
He then says to you, "would like to switch your door?"
Here's your problem: Is it to your advantage to switch your door
If you think it doesn't make a difference if you switch, unfortunately you're wrong.
This brain teaser is called the Monty Hall problem.
It is based on the American TV show, "Let's make a deal", named after its original host
Monty Hall.
In 1990, Marilyn vos Savant- known for holding the record for highest IQ gave her answer.
Her answer attracted a massive amount of feedback.
Mathematicians criticized her answer by saying she misled and corrupted the public.
Some even sent her nasty and sarcastic letters.
She then challenged math classes around the country to set up a probability trial.
Many responded to this nationwide experiment and found out she is right.
Now, here's why you should switch.
The answer is both simple and strange.
Stick around and I will show you an illustration which proves 100% why you should switch to
door 2.
Turns out you increase your chance of winning if you switch.
To begin with, your chance of winning is one in three.
If your door has the car, which only has 1/3 probability, then Monty can open door number
two or three.
But if you choose the wrong door, which has 2/3 probability, then Monty would have to
avoid the right door.
So switching your door increases your probability of winning.
How so?
Because there's more chance your initial choice is wrong.
Now the questions is, are you guaranteed to win every time you switch?
No.
But if you play this game over and over, on average you will win 2/3 of the time if you
switch.
Now you might thinking, "There are 2 doors left so each door should get 1/2 probability
instead".
That's a good point, but that's only correct if there were two doors to begin with.
Remember, there's more chance your first door is wrong.
So Monty would most likely leave the right door closed.
And because there is less chance door number 1 is right, you should switch to door number
2 to increase your chance of winning.
Your strategy to win the car should be based on probability.
Here's a grander way of seeing this.
Imagine instead there are 100 doors.
You choose door one.
Monty reveals 98 doors but leaves door seventy-seven.
Now it make sense to switch your door right?
Are you still here?
Great.
Now here's the most interesting part.
We will bridge the gap between math and real world by using a decision tree.
Decision tree is an illustration of different results of a decision.
It is used commonly in business management, finance, and philosophy.
Let us pretend Monty allowed you to solve this problem on paper.
Lets begin by drawing a box.
We will assume the car is in door # 1.
Lets start by drawing a line coming out of the box.
The number of lines will represent the number of your actions.
For this problem we will list all 6 possible choices.
3 scenarios if you switch and 3 scenarios if you stick with your door.
Each branch will represent each scenario.
Now let's take one branch at a time.
Let's assume the car is in door number 1.
Luckily you choose the right door.
This is the first branch of your tree.
The host will not open door number 1 but he will open door number 2 or 3.
This time he opens door number 3 and you switch to door number 2, you lose.
You choose door 2, the host opens door 3, you switch to door 1 and you win.
Nice!
You choose door 3, the host opens 2, you switch to door 1 and you win.
Great!
Two out of three branches lead to winning.
So the probability of winning is 2/3, and only 1/3 in losing.
Now let's see if you stay with your door 1.
You choose door number 1, the host opens door 3, and you win.You choose door 2, the host
opens door 3, and you lose. You choose door 3, the host opens door 2, and you lose again. This
time two out of three branches lead to losing.
So the probability of winning is only 1/3, and 2/3 in losing.Decision tree shows how
you should change you view of the future based on new information.
It's because new information should influence your decision.
You had no reason to be sure the car was behind any particular door.
But after Monty opens door number three you have more information.
This means you need to change your prediction of the outcome.
Because as you gather more information you must change your decisions.
Like in real life, you collect more information to make the best decision.

Simple Natural Recipes to Reduce Cellulite|HFE♪ - Duration: 11:26.
Simple Natural Recipes to Reduce Cellulite
It's mainly an aesthetic problem which causes many problems and can even go so far as to affect self-esteem.
In this article, we'll share some tips to reduce cellulite naturally.
What Causes Cellulite? Your skin covers your body to keep it at a proper temperature and protect it from external attacks.
It's composed of three layers, each one with its own specific functions: the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis.
The last layer mentioned is the one that contains the cells that generate fat, called adipocytes.
These accumulate fat to regulate body temperature.
When the fats aren't disposed of regularly and increase the size of the person, the fat cells push your skin, forming little lumps or bulges that you can see on the exterior of your skin.
Cellulite forms from: Circulation deficiencies, Hormone imbalances, Lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle, Hereditary factors.
Types of Cellulite General Cellulite It's more frequent among women that suffer from obesity and have unhealthy dietary habits.
It begins in childhood and gets worse in adulthood.
It causes aesthetic changes, primarily in your hips, abdomen, thighs, and legs.
Localized Cellulite This is characterized by the presence of intense pain in a specific part of the body, which is why it's more complicated.
It's mainly found in the abdomen, back, glutes, and arms.
Soft Cellulite This causes your skin to become loose or saggy and jelly-like. It's visible and can be accompanied by fatigue and a feeling of weakness.
It can bring other problems such as insomnia and varicose veins.
Edematous Cellulite In addition to the aspects and symptoms of the other kinds of cellulite, this also involves high liquid retention.
It can appear in women of all ages.
Hard Cellulite This type of cellulite makes your skin like more consistent and harder. It usually appears in young women and athletes, whose tissues are firm and toned.
The cellulite forms progressively and should be treated as soon as it appears. Over time, it evolves and becomes more and more difficult to eliminate.
You should keep in mind that an unbalanced diet that's high in calories will increase your weight.
With cellulite, the number of fat cells increases, which is what worsens the cellulite process.
A balanced diet and drinking enough water helps you eliminate toxins and reduce cellulite appearance.
To eliminate cellulite, you should always keep in mind what causes it to appear, not just the symptoms.
Natural Remedies To treat cellulite, there are various homemade remedies which can help you when it's being stubborn and you feel like you can't reduce or eliminate it.
Avocado Avocados are fruits that are rich in nutrients that hydrate your skin.
Ingredients 1/2 avocado 2 tablespoons of oats (30 g) 2 tablespoons of olive oil (32 g) What to Do Wash the avocado well and cut it in half.
With the help of a spoon, separate the fruit from the peel and pit.
Add it to a bowl and mash it until it forms a paste.
Add the oats and olive oil and mix it well until you have a homogeneous paste.
Apply it to the parts of your body where you have cellulite, gently massage it with your fingers and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Then, remove it and wash it with cold water.
You can repeat this treatment three times a week to achieve good results.
Coffee Caffeine is one of the best elements to combat cellulite.
With coffee, you can create a homemade treatment that's easy to make and very effective.
Ingredients 1/2 cup of ground coffee beans (100 g) 2 tablespoons of sugar (30 g) 2 tablespoons of salt (30 g) 1/4 cup of almond oil (50 g) 1/4 cup of olive oil (50 g) What to Do In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients until you can form a homogenous paste.
Apply the paste in the areas affected by cellulite every day.
You can apply this while you take a bath or a little before.
Seaweed Bath Although the power this product has isn't very well-known, seaweed is a great option to combat cellulite because of its regenerative properties for your skin.
Ingredients Dried seaweed (50 g) Water (enough to fill a bathtub halfway) What to Do Add hot water until the bathtub is filled halfway.
Next, add the seaweed and let it sit for 3 minutes.
Then, soak yourself in the bath for 15-20 minutes.
This will let you progressively reduce your cellulite problem.
Bathe yourself in seaweed twice per week.
Lemon Extract Ingredients The peel of 2 lemons, preferably organic 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil (100 g) What to Do Wash and peel the lemons.
Cut the peels into little pieces and put them in a small clean jar.
Add the extra virgin olive oil.
Close the jar and let it sit for 10 days in a cold, dark place.
After 10 days, strain it and dilute it with a similar amount of olive oil.
This extract should only be used at night, since the citric acid could cause sunburn if it's exposed to the sun.
Papaya Cream The granules of sugar exfoliate your skin, and the papaya, thanks to its properties, boost collagen production and eliminate dead cells.
Ingredients 2 tablespoons of brown sugar (30 g) 1 cup of fresh papaya (200 g) What to Do Wash and peel the papaya and mash it in a bow until it forms a paste.
Add the brown sugar and mix it.
Apply it immediately or keep it to use it another time.
Remember to cover the container well after using it to prevent it from making contact with the air.
Upon applying it, gently massage the area with cellulite in circles and let it sit for 20 minutes.
You can repeat this process 3 times per week.
Dry Brush Brush the area where you have cellulite to improve the circulation. These strokes help open your pores and eliminate toxins in your body that could be causing the cellulite.
To perform this procedure, your skin should be dry.
Therefore, it's ideal to do this before showering or bathing.
The brushing should be done in long, upward strokes.
You can also brush in gentle circular motions as to not irritate your skin.
The brush should be made of natural bristles, a little rigid and with a handle to make the brushing easier.

The 3 reasons why I left my job to start Simple Wealth Planning - Duration: 3:07.
So here are the three reasons
Why I started simple wealth playing so here it goes reason number one- I'm changing the fee structure
so I've done some pretty unique things and actually
unbundled
Financial Planning and Investment Management as a a la carte options, so the client can choose,
based on their situation.
So this means I will be charging a standalone fee for financial planning. So it's very clear
what a client is paying for when it comes to retirement projections, tax projections, cash flow planning
in addition the investment advisory fee (if we if we advise on assets) is
Actually a very very competitive
Advisory fee and it's going to be billed separately. So this will allow me to provide ongoing services
So a client isn't simply put on the shelf
after their onboarding process
so my goal is to continue to add transparency to how a client pays fees for advice and
To meet them where they are. So there's a solution for a
Variety of situations. So that's number one. Second thing is
Just better technology. This is really the golden age of the individual investor and that there are so many tools
available now
So I've done all the homework and I've chosen a suite of world-class tools that my clients will get access to
It's going to be really really cool
For example virtual meetings will be a huge
value add. I have found that too often
It can be drudgery for a client to have to schedule a meeting to come into a can be inconvenient office
Frankly to have a meeting that doesn't provide a lot of value. So there's a lot that we can now do virtually together
While you are alone at home at your laptop
which I think will allow us to get more quality work done together in even less time and
The third thing is and this is the most important thing
There are advantages to being small. So we've been blessed my wife and I
To be put in a position to start a firm that I think will be a better client experience
Than the one that I'm leaving and this is because it will be smaller. It'll be more nimble and frankly much more human.
So you're getting a person and not a corporate entity as your advisor
so everything you see here is truly my own personal views and personal opinions that Ihave developed over a
lifetime and eight years of delivering
financial advice. Some of the ways I think this will manifest itself will be in my ability to have a
smaller number of clients my ability to use video like this to interact with clients
Also, I think there's a big opportunity to use social media
In an authentic way, so just stay tuned for that rollout
so those are the three things so a 1) a different fee schedule/fee structure 2) better technology and
3) a more human firm
