What I love most... I love most the individuals who are

anxious who are apprehensive you have the ones who just don't want to be there

you open up to them you get them open up to you you have the relationship

eventually I think that's one of the great things about her is to have that

kind of personality trait there's like that instant chemistry that you build

with your doctor I think that is just phenomenal. If you're open and honest with

them they'll open up and you'll have their trust and they're just like I love it.

There's something about it it's the heart

and the love. I love everything about it

Dr. Israel Saintil - Capitol Dental Associates Washington, DC - Duration: 0:59.

I wanted to work with kids to be able to transform a child's perspective from when they first

come in and you know they're fearful they don't know what's going on to be able to sit

down and break it down to them and let them know that these are the things that I'm going

to be doing and this is how it's going to turn out If you're able to take that and bring

them to a state of happiness that way they love coming to the dentist, um, that's the

greatest part of the job for me.

I'm a big kid myself I love to laugh kids are funny I've learned to tap into my inner

child I think kids connect when they talk to someone that they feel like is on their

side and they feel you know that's like them.

I absolutely love my job.

It's the best thing to ever happen to me.

It allows me to have a hand in shaping the future of America because the kids are our

future.

Oppy, Apples from Washington, PMA Fresh Summit 2018 - Duration: 1:04.

My name's David Nelley,

VP of Categories at the Oppenheimer Group.

We're selling three varieties right now,

which are fresh from Washington State.

The first one, out of the gates, is a Jazz Apple.

And Jazz is a year-round supply now,

good sizing, and one of the top ten premium apples in North America.

The next one we start with is Envy Apple,

and in my opinion, it's the best apple to come out of

New Zealand in the last 25 years.

So we've got that fresh starting from Washington State.

The size is huge; the color is great.

We're going to see a lot of demand for it in the export markets,

but they'll be plentiful in the domestic market, too.

Finally—last but not least—the last apple we harvest is Pacific Rose.

We're seeing that harvest right now. The color is fantastic.

Probably the best I've seen in many years.

And the Pacific Rose is a sweeter apple

to complement the sweet-tart of the Jazz.

So between those three, we've got a flavor for everybody.

Bipartisan UXO-Demining Caucus launched in Washington, D.C. - Duration: 3:15.

On a very serious note I want to say thank you to everyone for joining us as we launch

this new Caucus and a special thanks to my co-chair David Valadao

who not only does the talk

he walks the walk and he has been a great hero of all of us in his efforts to work with

The HALO Trust in terms of getting money for Nagorno Karabakh most recently

and this effort is one that I feel so passionately about

as I'm sure Congressman Valadao does

and he'll be speaking shortly

but I just want to underscore for everybody that this is shameful

that we have allowed so much time to elapse

without having cleaned up the messes that we've left

around the world and I am kind of embarrased to say that in 2017 there were 2,700 people

who died due to unexploded ordnance or explosives and 7,239 were injured

and of those, about a third were children

So we need to do it now and so when you look at the fact that

there is more than 60 million people who live daily in fear of unexploded ordnance

we've got to do our job here and I know that you're all here because you recognise that

Sri Lanka is a great example where by 2020 they will be in a position to say: 100% cleared of all

of the unexploded ordnance

We want to be able to say that of everywhere that we've been

particularly in countries like Laos and Cambodia

When I first got elected to Congress this

is not an issue ever imagined being involved in

Most of us in the US could never relate

to the idea of the fear of walking somewhere and an explosive device either killing us

or destroying our futures

It's something just so foreign to us

I was down in L.A. one day

for a meeting on an unrelated topic and had the opportunity to be briefed by

The HALO Trust on the situation in Nagorno Karabakh and it just blew my mind and I thought we've

got to do something, we've got to look into this, we've got to see if we can get involved

in and continue this effort so working with different groups out there, on that specific

one it was the ANCA, and we were able to actually help direct some dollars

It was bipartisan

it was unanimous on the House floor when we offered that amendment so it was nice to see

that there was no other opposition to it and we kind of set a flag out there and started to

make some real waves

I'm really excited about the future of this Caucus and the future work

it will be able to accomplish and all of your involvement so thank you all for being here

Democratic rebel seeks negotiations with Pelosi on races for leadership The Washington Post - Duration: 4:04.

Democratic rebel seeks negotiations with Pelosi on races for leadership The Washington Post

A high profile critic of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi signaled on Monday that he is seeking to hold negotiations with her about changes to her leadership team, a development that makes her ascendancy to the speakership likelier as her opponents continue to struggle to recruit a challenger.

The decision by Rep. Seth Moulton D Mass. to shift his attention from Pelosi — by far the front runner for the speakership and currently running unopposed — to potential discussions over the lower ranking positions of House majority leader and House majority whip underscored Pelosis strength and the desire of her critics to reshuffle the leadership even if she holds the gavel.

Moulton, who served four tours of duty in Iraq as a Marine, is an informal leader of a group of centrist Democrats that has been organizing against Pelosi D Calif. and pushing for new leadership across the partys ranks in the House.

Pelosi, however, has given no indication that she is open to talks with Moulton about a deal for the support of moderate critics or that she would ever waver in her support for her longtime deputies, Reps. Steny H. Hoyer Md. and James E. Clyburn S.C. , who are in line to hold the No. 2 and No. 3 posts in the House next year.

Still, associates of Moulton, 40, said he is hoping to sit down with Pelosi to discuss possible terms for the support of his group, in particular possibly rallying behind a younger member to be House majority leader or House majority whip, with an emphasis on bringing in a new generation to the leadership in the wake of the Democrats sweeping gains in the midterm elections.

In such a scenario, Pelosi would have to usher out either Hoyer, 79, or Clyburn, 78, from their campaign for the leadership in the coming days and get behind another candidate to secure the votes of the rebels who are opposing her bid for speaker.

Moulton has not signed a letter of support for Hoyer, who has long been allied with moderates and suburban members inside the House Democratic conference. And Pelosi critics have noted with interest that 12 years ago, Pelosi backed a challenge to Hoyer by then Rep. John P. Murtha D Pa. for the majority leader post, which Hoyer ultimately won.

Leader Pelosi wants to boil this down to a personal argument, but this is so much bigger than her, Moulton said in a statement to The Washington Post. Its about the entire, stagnant three person leadership team and having a serious conversation about promoting leaders who reflect the future of our caucus.

House Democratic aides involved with the moderate group added that Moulton and others close to him are also willing to negotiate with her on another front: the length of her speakership.

If she can publicly guarantee that shell only be there for one year as a transitional figure, and that there will be elections for the leadership next fall, some people are more than willing to talk through that at this point, one House Democratic adviser said.

With a critical party vote scheduled for Wednesday, Moultons latest gambit is both a recognition of Pelosis ability to brush back her critics and the eagerness of moderates to wring something out of their standoff and at least spark debate over Hoyer and Clyburn, according to multiple people involved in the discussions.

Moulton told a crowd in his district last week that if House Democrats react to their victory in this months midterm elections by reinstalling the same status quo leadership team that weve had in place since 2006, then were failing the American people.

Pelosi will need to win a majority of House members when a floor vote for speaker is called Jan. 3. Fifteen Democrats have signed a letter vowing to oppose her, with another four who have said in statements that they oppose her, although that number has dropped in recent days as Pelosi has won over a number of her critics.

Currently Democrats are on track to enjoy a 16 seat majority, though that number could grow as several uncalled races are settled.

Moulton has been criticized by Pelosi supporters for organizing against the veteran Democrat. Liberal activists have floated a primary challenge to the two term Massachusetts congressman, and he has been criticized by some constituents at town halls.

Mike DeBonis and Felicia Sonmez contributed.

New Video Details the Benefits of AASHTO's Washington D.C. Based Fellowship Program - Duration: 1:51.

The AASHTO fellowship program is an opportunity for a full-time DOT employee

to relocate temporarily to DC in order to work for AASHTO for one year.

So the ideal candidate for the fellowship program is gonna be somebody with about

seven to ten years of experience and they're gonna be a technical expert in

some area the great thing about the AASHTO fellowship is its dynamic so

AASHTO will put you in a position to succeed and they touch all the areas

that state departments of transportation work on.

When you go back to your old job you're gonna know so much more you're gonna know how your state fits into

the big scheme of things you're going to know what issues affect everybody and

how they affect you and you'll be able to apply what you learn to what you do.

So far the best part of the AASHTO Fellowship has been access to so many

aspects of Transportation on a national level. I've been able to attend special

committee meetings at the Senate and the House I've been able to make an

impact on national transportation related policy.

The AASHTO staff is extremely diverse and they're all experts in their field in committees so

being able to pull on that knowledge and also pull in the knowledge of the states

around the country to solve problems is it's been a tremendous experience.

The benefit to the state for allowing you to become a national fellow is that you get

to become a more well-rounded professional and you get to take them

back to your professional life after.

The AASHTO fellowship applications are due in the coming weeks on December 18th if you're interested

consult with the state DOT leadership starting with your supervisor.
