News on Youtube Jan 2 2018

This is the first week in review for 2018! Hope you guys are having a good new

year! I made a lot of videos last week, you were probably pretty busy, so let's

review them and let's review some of my favorite comments last week from you

guys! as well there were six patron videos last week, some personal videos

some review videos, some polls and a lot of other goodies, so get on patreon to

check them out! but first, we start two weeks ago with the uncountable/ countable

video to review one of my favorite types of comments – someone having a question

and someone else giving them help or giving them the answer they need! this

time it was Chris. follow Chris's example and help your friends on YouTube get the

answers they need. let's make the comments a friendly place, not a toxic

nasty place like they often are! great job, Chris, keep it up! all right now for

last week we were talking about regions and accents in the u.s. most important

thing from this video, was to remember that when we talk about the north and

the south, sometimes we're talking about a

geographical idea, but often we're talking about the difference between, uh,

between rural and city life, urban. Mohammed asked about dialect, a certain

accent within the United States to learn. now in general I really don't think

there is any accent or dialect throughout the english-speaking world

that's either easier or more difficult. and no matter what, if you choose one

specifically to study, it will make learning English so much easier for you!

so ask yourself: what type of English will I need in the future, what group of

English speakers will I most be communicating with, and focus on those

accents! then we have the Metamorphosis! the book that we're reading together. I

love this book, Samantha loves this book, and yes

Gregor – buggy buggy buggy Gregor has finally escaped from his room! but Sam

I'm not sure if it's for the better or for the worse, we will find out! and

before I forget, all of the videos were talking about from last week – the links

to watch them are under this video, in the description! next we had quantifiers.

these are so important to learn if you want to sound more natural in your

English. they're not very difficult and you probably already know most of them!

words like much, many, a lot of, and Shahad had some amazing examples! I mean just a

fantastic! take a look at these! I can tell you without a doubt that Shahad is

working really hard to become a fluent English speaker. and you just deserve a

round of applause. keep it up! what next? Well we talked about school!

from the beginning to the end and everything in between.

especially discussing the education system in the United States. and let me

introduce you to Alia, using some of this vocabulary wonderfully. she's AN

undergrad in her fourth year, studying environmental engineering. cool stuff! And

the last video, music vocabulary. great vocab to use ,well, whenever, in any type of

conversation – especially for the tests, like the IELTS TOEFL and TOEIC though. Ly

Nguyen asked me about my favorite artists. I love all music in general, so it's hard

to pick, but an artist that I've listened to, I mean since I was maybe 13 up until

now, is Devendra Banhart. so I really like his music and he's probably my all-time

favorite. but if we're looking at this year in review, like the video, maybe

Kendrick. probably Kendrick Lamar for this year. like I mentioned in the video,

I think his song XXX really just hit the nail on the head, it

was precise, when discussing cultural issues in the United States. happy New

Year to Ly and happy New Year to everybody! 2018,

let's get you fluent! this Week in Review is possible thanks to my friends on

Patreon! friends like Norah, who not only wants to improve her English, she wants

to help you study English by being a patron! thanks Norah and thanks to all of of ya!

the credits are over! and you're still here!

Guy Whose Never Seen Steven Universe Attempts to Review Its Comic - Duration: 5:27.

Hello lords and ladies.

Welcome back to Cartoon Hangout, your place for all things cartoon.

I've never really watched Steven Universe.

I've tried before with episode 1 but I kept constantly getting bored and quitting.

It's just not a series that has caught my interest in any major way.

The art style isn't eye catching and its inability to balance slice of life and action,

as if it's not sure what it wants to be, all just turned me off from the show.

And when fans have to instruct you on which episodes to skip and watch first, that's

never a good sign.

If I wanted to get people to watch, for example, Jackie Chan Adventures I'd tell them to

go with episode 1.

I wouldn't say, "Skip to episode 20, watch the next few episodes of season 1, THEN go

back and watch episode 1-19."

I'd be crazy to do that!

But because I thought it would be pretty funny to do, I decided to review issue 9 of the

current Steven Universe comic.

Because what's more amusing than jumping headfirst into a comic of a show you know

next to nothing about and then attempting to review it?

Why, nothing I tell you!

Well nothing other than watching the clowns over at Bleeding Cool or Comic Book Resources

flounder in their lies, but that's my personal fetish.

Alright, so let's talk turkey.

What's this issue about?

In this month's issue Steven, the titular protagonist wants to invite some friends of

his, Peridot and Lapis, to an art lesson that some old lady named Vidalia is holding.

Already this is something I know, or at least heard, that the show does.

A lot of downtime, a lot of slice of life stories.

How could 24 pages of art be that interesting.

And, it's not.

I mean, not really.

There's a certain charm to the story the writer is telling, but if this were an actual

episode I'd be quite bored.

The only thing that kept it from getting too stale was, believe it or not, the art.

I've long maintained that the show has an odd style for what it's trying to achieve;

too mundane, too boring.

But surprisingly it works really well as a piece of static imagery.

Steven Universe works well as a comic, is what I'm saying.

There's no need to worry about animating any of it.

I'll give the issue this, though.

Even without having a fudging idea who any of these random people are, at least the method

of storytelling helped clue me into their base personalities.

Through the characters' art styles, actually.

Maybe I'm off and a fan can correct me, but I'm assuming Lapis doesn't like to

give control over?

Like, she wants to remain in control.

While Peridot is more impulsive and brash.

The latter observation doesn't quite take a genius, though.

And Steven's a sensitive soyboy.

Am I on the right track?

I don't know who the heck the big purple chick is or the old lady with the onion hair,

though.

Not too much else happens.

Lapis gets into a fight with Peridot, ruin Steven's painting, and immediately apologize.

It felt a little too quick, but the issue had already used up valuable real estate with

several pages of them drawing, so I guess there wasn't much room for any more conflict

or resolution.

I mean, what they do for Steven in the end is pretty sweet.

I'm just saying that not a lot really goes on in this comic.

Nor will anything learned here effect the show, so why even bother, really?

My one big piece of criticism?

The cover doesn't have a thing to do with the issue's plot.

Not a damn thing.

I've seen some fans talking about the episode I think the cover is drawing from, but as

far as I can tell this issue and it don't connect.

So…why?

Why was it chosen as the cover?

So other than that I don't really have any harsh critiques to level at the issue.

I know very little about the show in terms of characters or overall plots, at least not

enough to truly review any random episode or issue, but this wasn't all bad.

The show's art style works far better in comic book form and while there wasn't anything

exciting happening AT ALL in the 24 pages I just read, it also wasn't a chore to read.

Make of that as you will.

Thanks for watching this video.

I threw it together at the last minute.

I don't plan on doing any more of these, but if you want more reviews of the comic

I could probably do that.

I think it'd be amusing to keep reviewing this comic and never watch the show.

I'm weird like that.

If you want to support everything I do on this and my other channel, consider going

to my Patreon and seeing if the rewards are anything you'd be interested in having.

I also happen to have a merch store on Spreadshirt where, if you so fancy, you can get some cool

Archaic King shirts.

I don't know, do what you want, I'm not your dad.

Though I could be.

Right, uh, take care.

Pore Vacuum Blackhead Remover | Mr. Li Review and Demo! - Duration: 6:35.

hey everyone welcome to my channel if you're new here thanks for watching

please feel free to subscribe and hit that notification belt down below so

you'll be notified of all my videos in the future today I have a special guest

my husband's with me to test out this product that we both saw on Amazon and

he was intrigued about it this is the mr. Li it's like a blackhead remover but

it also has some attachments for like it says microderm so we were kind of

curious about it so what we're gonna do is zoom you guys in and see if this poor

vacuum works and gets out all the blackheads we had carlos go ahead and

steam his face and we also had some hot towels on his nose really open up the

pores see what this can do so we'll zoom you guys in and let's see how many

blackheads we can take out of his nose it comes with 8 tips there's 3 tips that

are just kind of dual purpose the rest of them are the microderm tip which is

pretty interesting I'm familiar with this the grit on them isn't very harsh

so this would probably be equivalent to like the first level of a professional

grit from a microdermabrasion machine they'll use the microderm next kind of

let you guys know my thoughts on that aspect of it has three settings and it

has this like a vibrating I think that's for the microderm though I usually will

go through and use just a basic blackhead remover tool and we just get

him steamed up and go to town most of the time we have the charcoal strips

like from boa we have that black mask as well we're always looking at new ways to

remove blackheads

okay guys so we're gonna turn it on go it's a normal tip let's see

so let's go ahead and do it Carlos stop what did you think about the suction of

the machine um I think level one is doesn't have enough suction we had to

use the highest level three to remove the blackheads I think it was okay

enough power to remove the blackheads and it's not as painful as just a

regular extractor tool right and so that's what I was mentioning earlier we

usually use this and this is really good like around the crevices in here the one

that works the best just the size of this can get pretty much like around the

sides of the nose like up on up on it but it's really hard for it to get right

into the crevice it does have these other tools but it still doesn't give it

enough power and what would you think about the pain factor as opposed to one

of these extractor tools how do you think that this compares oh yeah this is

less painful than the extractor tool usually when we use extractor tool

I get really teary-eyed I know joke oh it is quite painful especially on the

tip of the nose it's a very sensitive and but the the vacuum is hardly

anything I didn't get no teria uh it was it was pretty tolerable yeah um you guys

can see in the footage it actually likes X up some of the skin in to the tool

while it's like extracting and then you can slowly see whatever it's pulling out

like all the gunk come out to be really careful you have to predominantly use it

just on the nose and maybe around here you don't really want to come out here

where the skin is a little bit more fragile because what its gonna do is

create a lot more bruising and it's gonna create more of like a hickey

effect on the more delicate areas so you really only want to use a tool like this

with that setting just on the nose where it's a little bit more tolerable of that

another thing is it's really easy for you to bruise you have to it's called

breaking the suction so you can't just like

leave it and like pull it out that's gonna cause bruising you have to either

go straight down with it and just let it naturally come off of your nose or you

have to kind of push at where it's at to kind of break the suction think overall

what do you think the value of x' getting something like this is is it is

a yay or nay what would you say I think I think it's a yay I mean it is a good

tool to have I mean I try to have to pick Oh to choose extractor but if you

can't handle the the pain of that then go with vacuum it's a less painful and

easy to use I even use it's not that hard to use but

if you do have another body a wife a husband that's willing to use extractor

on you then they probably enjoy it more than you yeah we'll have it link below

for you guys so you guys can look at the reviews on it on Amazon but I hope you

enjoyed our video and please feel free to subscribe and give it a thumbs up for

more videos like this we're going to be testing out a lot more gadgets in the

future so stay tuned and thanks for watching bye right

The Crypto Genius Review Fraud - Cryptocurrency Scam Exposed! - Duration: 6:10.

Hi, Guys!

FAYSAL here.

What's going on?

How are you guys doing?

Today I am going to expose THE CRYPTO GENIUS Software.

THE CRYPTO GENIUS software claims that you can earn $5900 per day with underground profit

opportunity as you can see here.

The creator of this THE CRYPTO GENIUS app is Chris Peterson as you can see here his

picture.

They display some badges here.

CNN Money, BBC news as seen on.

That means it was featured on BBC or CNN Money.

We have searched CNN Money and BBC news but there is no feature or nothing on their websites

related to THE CRYPTO GENIUS.

Interestingly, we found Chris Peterson in another place called SHUTTERSTOCK site & you

can see here.

So-called Chris Peterson is just a stock model and he has nothing to do with THE CRYPTO GENIUS

software.

You can see a bunch of pictures of him.

You see the same outfit he is wearing here.

The exact same guy here.

So, this is not so-called Chris Peterson or he has nothing to do with THE CRYPTO GENIUS

software.

He is just a stock model.

The creator is a fake person so their claims.

You will see a bunch of testimonials here.

The so-called users are earning a huge profit.

For example, NATALIE RICCI earned like $6000 in just twenty-four hours.

That is a huge profit for one day!

But we have found NATALIE RICCI's picture here on Google.

Her picture is just a stock photo and she is not the NATALIE RICCI as they mentioned

on their site.

So, I assume that all the testimonials are fake & these are just stock photographs.

They display some Live trading results here.

And this is Chris Peterson's Balance is in Millions.

But interestingly, when we analyze these results, we were laughing.

You see, DASH signal for BUY and the invested amount was $100 and the payout was $550 although

the trade was a losing one.

But they got a payout of $550 against $100 investment though the trade was lost!

Now you know that these fraudsters have absolutely no idea about trading.

You see BITCOIN invested amount $250 and the payout was $300.

It is way lower and sometimes way higher.

Even sometimes they got a huge payout even the trade was a losing one.

We give you an example.

Let's say BITCOIN if I trade $250 and my payout will be $405.

So, how come they got $300 only I don't understand.

This is a fabricated result and absolutely misleading & fake.

Will you join a fake software like this THE CRYPTO GENIUS where the creator is a stock

model and the testimonials or the results are fake?

Absolutely not!

Stay away from THE CRYPTO GENIUS scam & if you are looking for a legit trading software

whether it is Binary, Forex or cryptocurrency signals my recommendations are given below.

You analyze my recommendations & if you find those suitable for you then you can join or

you may not.

It is up to you.

Until then take care & don't get scammed!

Gear Club Unlimited REVIEW! - Duration: 4:41.

So, there are quite a few arcade racers already on switch. There is

Mario Kart 8, Fast RMX if you're more into F-Zero,

and then like stuff ported from mobile like Riptide. Another game

that's from mobile is Gear Club, and on Switch it's Gear Club Unlimited.

If you're looking at the app on the eShop, you might be inclined to think this

this looks more realistic, maybe a little bit more gritty -

it might lean more toward simulation. The moment you actually jump into Gear

Club Unlimited though, you feel very very quickly this is not a simulation

racer. It tries to stay more faithful to something like a Forza or Gran Turismo, but as

soon as you have the opportunity to play Gear Club next to something like a Gran Turismo Sport,

a Forza Motorsport or even a Forza Horizon - it's very very easy to

see that there have been compromises put in place by the developers to deal with

the fact that it's running on limited hardware in comparison to make sure that

the package as a whole doesn't feel like it's it's falling short.

The basic progression system in Gear Club Unlimited hinges on

championships which is not particularly uncommon, but the implementation is kind

of spotty. The world map that you have access to is actually huge but

there is this fog of war style haze over most of the map.

When you progress through Championships you have the opportunity

to earn stars. The better you do, the more stars you earn and

the more of the map you uncover. The weird thing about the map though is that it

just seems kind of out of place. You'll have bayside style vista areas next to

random rally spots next to like canyons and then like inner city areas and it

doesn't feel anywhere near as cohesive as a Forza Horizon. Now, you

might argue that's a bit of a comparison to make - perhaps an unfair one -

but the reality is Forza Hrorizon 1 came out in 2012 on 360, and it

visually and in terms of design and progression

feels way smoother in pretty much every aspect next to Gear Club Unlimited,

but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its merits either. In terms of

customization, coming from mobile as you'd expect, there's quite a

decent level of customisation, whether it's cosmetic

in terms of paint jobs or stuff you can attach to your car, or more

mechanical like stuff that affects gameplay. There's plenty of ways

to customize your car, but on top of that you also have access to a garage and

this garage is a massive shed that you just fill with random crap and

this is where the "kind of at odds with itself" works. It's wacky and it's

dumb and it's stupid, but really you don't care. You're there because you have

access to way too many tools for someone who's just been racing

haphazardly through this world for like, four seconds, but it feels really fun to

actually jump into the garage, mess around with a car, kind of level it up,

and then jump into a race and feel really really overpowered.

While I'm talking about the racing itself, I probably should talk about

the difficulty and assists. In terms of how you control the car it feels a

little bit stiff again compared to Forza Horizon 1. The reason why I keep

going back to Forza horizon 1 is because it straddles the line really

really well between a simulation and an arcade racer, where you have the

flexibility to toggle assists on off at will, but it really feels responsive

no matter what you do. The problem is Gear Club unlimited straddles that line

too, but not in a good way. You don't have access to assists that feel really

substantial at all. You can turn off assist braking and turning with a

pretty basic slider, but the reality is this:

If you're bad at races, put everything up to the max and it feels

like the game's playing itself. Put it all the way to the bottom and it

feels like the game shouldn't feel as clunky and a little bit gross to control

as it does. The exception to this is rally, where it just goes full arcade and

you don't really care at that point, because you're drifting around corners,

drifting around these mountaintops and it feels good for the most part. However,

those rally events are not quite as common as I would have liked

unfortunately. So, Gear Club Unlimited is a decent racer. It's not

quite as polished as a Mario Kart 8 or a Fast RMX, but it feels fun to play for

the most part. The customization will keep people who are coming from like

mobile games or potentially like more casual gamers at bay in terms of keeping

busy and feeling like there is a sense of progression. But, for more hardcore

gamers - people that have had the opportunity to get really into arcade

racers or really into sim racers - you're probably better off sticking with one

side or the other.

The Undead (1957): Review - Duration: 6:37.

Why Gobbles a gentlest jailer ever to gouge a prison's eye.

Welcome back to my dark corner of this sick world.

'And pray that I may never turn my interest upon you. Hahahaha'

The Undead is one of handful of Roger Corman films, which include Attack of the Crab Monsters

and Little Shop of Horrors scripted by Charles B. Griffith

'Thou art the author of the piece'

films which are cheap and badly made but are saved by their utter madness

'They say the enchantment destroyed my reason'

This one was originally scripted in iambic pentameter

'Tell what you mean and speak clearly'

Following a brief introduction by the devil...

'Here's a story of my eternal work'

we meet mad hypnotist Quintus who doesn't just regress people into their past lives

'Then the regression is physical as well as mental'

He actually transports them there

'And where will you find a subject weak-willed and impressionable enough to arrive in the required depth of trance'

'Diana'

Prostitute Diana Love doesn't get a whole lot of respect

'Her type is the most easily influenced of basic character groups,'

'... almost devoid of will power. That is why I chose one of her class.'

I'm right here!

'Although I dare say she has no idea what I'm paying her for'

And she arrives in her past life at a bad moment

'How fares the witch'

And things gets weirder

'I'll make you final night a pleasure.'

'Don't back away'

Obi Wan?

'What voice is that I hear?'

'It's me - you - both of us'

Well that's cleared that up.

Diana - now called Helene - escapes,

and much of the rest of the movie is a back and forth game of hide and seek in a medieval England

that appears to be about a mile across, because it was shot in a disused supermarket

'I meet thee everywhere'

Helene is not a witch, but Livia, played by soon to be 50ft Woman Alison Hayes,

is the best dressed witch in the middle ages.

and can turn into an owl, an iguana for some reason, a cat

and one of the monsters left over from It Conquered the World.

At the other end of the witch scale is Meg Maud

'Perhaps I'll turn thee into an owl to catch mice for my cauldron'

One step away from a gingerbread house

'I have some conjoring to do'

Livia trying to kill Helene so she can have the handsome Pendragon, which, by the way, is how it's pronounced

'First Pendraon give to me thy gift of one embrace, no more'

The plot seems to be settling down to something sensible, almost pedestrian, and so...

'What is it you fear?'

Quintus, concerned for Diana's safety in way he certainly wasn't earlier, uses her mind as a link to go back in time himself.

'According to certain priests in Nepal, I could follow her'

arriving naked as terminator.

Although retaining his watch.

'The rational mind can accept just so much'

Meanwhile at the witches sabbat, Satan offers to save Helene for Pendragon, but for a price

'Then thou must sell thy soul'

he is saved by Quintus, who suggests the rental option

'Don't sell Pendragon, rent him your soul, say for a month'

Take it for a test drive, you'll thank me later

'So Quintus you have slipped at least the bonds of time'

You'd think Quintus would register surprise at meeting Satan

'And to think I'd never believed in witches'

Now I'm happy to accept pretty much whatever

'I'll have known the most intriguing drama of my life'

No kidding, because now there's the question of timelines to sort

'Her past! We have altered it'

'Diana love and all the lives she would have lived will end. That is they will never be born at all.'

This wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff gives the film's conclusion an unexpected pathos

as Helene must choose between life with Pendragon now followed by eternal death,

and immediate death followed by innumerable future existences,

who then speak to her through the centuries begging for their lives

'give me life'

'I am a mother give me life.'

'I am a dancer give me life.'

'I am happy give me life.'

Which I found quite moving, unlike Quintus's attitude, which I found quite confusing

'I'm not a cruel man, but I can't help being fascinated'

He doesn't care about Diana

'A wanton woman of the streets'

but went back in time to save her

'If she does not die where and when she did in the unchaged past she'll die now'

then becomes gleefully interested in seeing what happens if you tear time apart

'And frankly, I don't care which course she takes'

for which he is properly punished

As with all films that mess with timelines, this doesn't hold up to scrutiny

'Death now life after, Life now, death forever.'

And like most of the Corman-Griffith collaborations this is cheap badly made rubbish

'It's nothing but Sunday Supplement nonsense'

But it's tongue in cheek

'Time has little meaning in Tibet'

Allison Hayes is having the time of her life

'I smell 8 quarts of human blood that will soon enrich the grasses here'

And if you can't enjoy a past-life, time travelling film with ghost dancers

beheadings

'A head is needed!'

and a dime store devil

'Behold the subtle working of my talents'

Then you're watching the wrong show.

'Excuse me did I say nonsense?'

Oh, and I've no idea why it's called The Undead.

'Horrible, horrible choice.'

Thanks for watching, see all our Roger Corman reviews here.

Screenwriter Charles B Grithiths films are always worth watching...

Are there any other screenwriters whose name will get you to watch a film?

Let us know below.

'Say how much longer must I stay in this crummy joint.'

Late to the Punchline Review MLP:FIM Season 7 Episode 23 - Duration: 10:03.

Hello, I'm Half the Battle,

and this is my Late to the Punchline Review

of Friendship Is Magic Episode 166:

Secrets and Pies,

which is the third episode written by Josh Hamilton,

after Parental Glideance and Triple Threat.

This episode focuses heavily on just two characters,

but let's get the easy part out of the way first.

I like seeing Twilight Sparkle baking with Pinkie.

The two don't get a lot of casual time together

in this series, and it's a nice follow-up

of sorts to Twi's baking contest

with Spike a few episodes ago.

And Applejack is well used here,

both as a level-headed friend for Pinkie

and as the Element of Honesty

to oppose Rainbow's rationalizations.

Pinkie Pie is our perspective character,

and it appears we're getting the flighty,

easily distracted Pinkie from Three's a Crowd

and various other fourth-season episodes.

More accurately, though, her behavior with Dash

has been very trusting, one might even say naive.

Ever the optimist, she prefers to imagine

the best of her friends, having learned that lesson

way back in Party of One.

But unlike that story, her friend

really is up to something this time.

While her imagination is still very active,

she also recalls her lesson from

MMMystery on the Friendship Express

and performs a thorough investigation of Dash

before leveling any accusations at her.

And she gives Dash every chance to either

come clean or prove her wrong by eating a pie.

Finally, this story doesn't spell it out,

but I believe the reason Pinkie arranges

a public pie-tasting is so that even if

she doesn't see Dash dodge, somepony else will.

As crazy as her antics are,

this is Pinkie at her most logical.

Rainbow's intentions are laid out in the third act.

No, she doesn't like pies at all,

but she's dedicated to Pinkie's happiness

at thinking she enjoys her pies.

In a twisted sort of way,

Dash's loyalty is driving her deception.

Her flaw, as Applejack points out,

is thinking her dislike for pie would crush Pinkie

more than the feelings of betrayal

once the ruse is inevitably exposed.

After all, she's seen that Pinkie keeps files

on everypony's likes and dislikes,

so she should know Pinkie could just adapt

and start giving her things she really enjoys.

That being said, it's totally understandable

how Dash got into this situation.

Have you ever had it happen that you meet someone,

they give their name, but you either miss it

or you can't remember it later?

And before long they're in your circle of

friends, hanging out, and eventually

weeks or months have gone by...

How embarrassing and insulting is it

to have to ask their name at that point?

And we all get into routines where

we put up with some little annoying thing

someone does, because it's not worth

calling attention to, but as it continues,

it starts driving you crazy but you can't

object to it without raising the question of

why you never said anything before.

So why not just eat the pie?

Well, that may not be as easy as it sounds.

There are foods I don't like that I can

eat a few bites of to be polite,

and there are foods I can't have in my mouth.

Maybe it's the taste,

maybe it's a pyschological aversion,

but it seems Dash CANNOT eat pies.

That makes the scene at the end

all the more sacrificial.

Back in season one, Rainbow Dash

didn't care as much for Pinkie

and she wasn't the greatest

model of friendship generally.

But by now, after all her character growth,

Rainbow Dash should at least be feeling bad

about having to do this.

We don't get any of that,

at least not before Dash is found out.

Especially as she sees how obviously bothered

Pinkie is, we ought to see Dash stressing out

or perhaps going to another one of the Mane Six

for advice.

(It's not as though the story

keeps the viewer in any suspense

about what Dash is up to.)

Dash's cavalier presentation in this episode

is a little out of step with her character arc,

which I think is a heavy mark against an

otherwise wonderful episode.

But thank you to whoever on the creative team

had to go through 160-plus episodes of MLP

and make sure Rainbow Dash had never

been shown eating a pie.

I believe it may be implied in Brotherhooves Social,

but there aren't any definitive instances

I can think of.

Let's move on to the Lesson.

A number of recent episodes,

like Once Upon a Zeppelin,

have our characters doing a noble thing

in the wrong way, or for a misguided reason.

Here we have a character doing a definitively

wrong thing but for a reason that's

well-intended, more or less.

What we're facing here is a social lie

or a polite lie, not too different from

the face-saving behavior we saw

in Not Asking for Trouble.

The intention is to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

But the lie itself is hurtful here

because once exposed, it detonates one of Pinkie's

primary ways of loving her friend.

With only a pretense of appreciation,

all that effort, hundreds of times

over a period of years, has been coldly discarded.

And as I just mentioned,

if Dash had simply told Pinkie early on

that she didn't like pies,

Pinkie could have been making her genuinely happy

in more effective ways this whole time.

This is a pretty ridiculous episode,

but I dare say this sort of thing happens

in real-life relationships all the time.

We tend to love people the way we like to be loved,

and to express apprecation in our own dialect,

which may or may not reach the heart

of another person the way it would our own.

So when we receive a poorly chosen gift

or a well-intended compliment

that touches a nerve,

when someone spends too much time with us,

or forwards cascades of mildly funny emails,

or does a chore for us that we

really would have preferred to do ourselves,

we've been taught to just smile and say thank you.

In a long-term relationship,

repeated instances of this can put us

in the same position as Rainbow and Pinkie,

until a scene of "I thought you loved those"

finally plays out.

We need to be honest from the get-go,

and if that ship has sailed,

perhaps there can be a "safe time"

where we can come clean about little things

with a promise of acceptance and understanding.

There's a different sort of lesson

present at the end of the episode

that may throw first-time viewers for a loop.

The standard "lying is bad" lesson

is interrupted by Pinkie's instant forgiveness

because...

well, let's think about why.

Pinkie Pie defended making such elaborate pies

by saying, "It's worth all the trouble

to see her happy."

By the ridiculous measures Dash undertook

to get rid of the pies without Pinkie noticing,

Dash was going to the same degree of trouble

for the same reason.

That doesn't make it right;

the show goes to great lengths to point that out

both verbally from multiple characters

and by example as we see

how Pinkie frets throughout the episode.

But when one friend wrongs another,

it's good to consider why she did what she did.

In this particular case, Dash's words

and her willingness to eat literal garbage

were sufficient for Pinkie to see

that they could move beyond this.

Is it maybe a bit too quick and unqualified?

Well, perhaps, but it seems like something

Pinkie would do.

That ending may not satisfy everybody,

but I think it's a mature approach

to relational conflict that goes beyond

the black-and-white dos and don'ts

that make for a simpler story.

As for Emotional Resonance:

From time to time, I've mentioned yummy food

in this section.

The pie Dash conjures up at the end

deserves mention as being the very opposite of yummy.

Humor abounds in this episode.

The Pinkie faces are most extreme we've seen yet,

and I love her interactions with the Wonderbolts.

Funny moments that stand out for me include

the x-ray of Tank,

Dr. Fauna's suggestion of a pie pan-demic,

the callback to the runway rule from Newbie Dash,

Pinkie's conclusion that Rainbow

can't be brainwashed because she hates washing,

her explanation that Rainbow's never heard of

Unofficial "Wake Your Friends Up" Day

because it's unofficial,

Rainbow's bed mane,

and Pinkie's "very detailed pieling system."

The imagine spot with Evil Dash

is funny in itself but it also

made me sad for its insight into

how betrayed Pinkie feels.

For all their flaws,

the devotion that both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie

show for their friendship is heartwarming.

Considering the lengths to which Dash goes

to avoid eating pies under any circumstances,

pies must be really gross to her.

And so it's remarkable that Dash

concedes to AJ that she should've just

eaten the pies in the first place.

Pinkie's friendship really does mean

that much to her, and that's what gives her

the idea for orchestrating her own comeuppance.

And now for the rest:

I like how this episode returns to the

suspicious Pinkie formula of previous episodes

but has her be right this time,

incorporating the lessons she learned from those very stories.

Given that one-bite, pan-and-all

eating of pies is pivotal to the plot,

this is one of the most cartoonish MLPs to date,

but it works thanks to Dash's

previously established insane speed

and Pinkie's familiarity with reality bending.

There is one odd bit where a tunnel

between Rainbow's bedroom and Tank's room

seems to have an underground section

even though her house floats in the sky.

That's minor, though.

My only real complaint in this story

is Dash's apparent comfort with lying

to Pinkie at this stage in their relationship.

That brings an otherwise Diamond-quality story

down about to the level of

their previous outing in Daring Done.

Still, it's a wildly fun episode

with a lesson that's good

for generating discussion.

I give it Gold Armor.

Iron Bridge Watch Review: Limited Edition Out Of Order Automatico review - Duration: 15:19.

hey guys Sandra with my watch addiction I'm bringing you that special watch

review of a watch that I've been looking for for a while before we get started

though guys I just wanted to say I wish you a Happy Holidays and hope that

everyone has a very prosperous 2018 with that being said don't forget stick

around at the end of this video and as I promised I will show you how one of my

subscribers can win one of my watches as I mentioned I promise it's going to be a

watch that I've reviewed on this channel before and it's gonna be watched it I

like and sincerely hope that you liked as well now there's no catches it's not

going to cost you a penny I don't need you guys to sign up for anything you

don't have to buy anything it's just to thank you for helping me out over this

past year so what is so special that I had to review and wait for today well as

you can see we have another out of order watch it's you guys have previously seen

huge huge fan of out of order watches and their design styling overall but why

is this one so special well today we're going to take a look at the original

iron bridge special edition out of order watch so Before we jump into this watch

too much let's talk a little bit about where this watch actually came from this

watch which was originally at its roots an out-of-order automatic Oh was created

in partnership with iron bridge Watch Company of Philadelphia Pennsylvania

iron bridge watch company was started by gentleman who was an N watch collector

with the sole purpose of bringing foreign micro

to North America and marketing them to today's younger population typically in

partnership with numerous different companies such as out of order or TCM

Fortuna Iron Bridge watch company has been able to develop a few limited

edition models this watch I believe was one of the first limited edition watches

that they created in partnership with out of order watches and this is the

original Iron Bridge limited edition out of order automatic oh so taking a closer

look if we pull the watch out itself you can see this guy comes on a blue NATO

strap and the NATO strap itself says I wore right on it will walk around this

watching more detail in just a second let's take a look at what else this guy

comes with it also comes with this leather with blue stitching it's almost

like a rawhide leather strap the neat thing about this is this actually has a

hidden deployment clasp for the band it's not just a normal tank clasp

which I think that is gonna look really sharp on a watch when you get it paired

up to it just gives you a nice nice color combination moving the box out of

the way gives us a chance to take a closer look at this watch itself now a

few things you'll notice right off the bat is the bezel the blue on the bezel

and the blue on the dial does not have the aged look that you would expect to

see on an out-of-order watch then I'll show it compared to my green automatic

oh here in just a second but walking around this watch you can see at the six

o'clock position they have the labeling for the iron bridge Limited Edition

that's different than the standard automatic oh you can see the case

coloring on this is almost like a copper or bronze finish has the made in Italy

right there on the side of the watch just like it would at the bottom of the

watch though you're gonna see right there it's a little bit different this

is actually a serialized this is number 59 of only 100 of these iron bridge

limited edition automatic codes that were made the box has the number 59

marking to it as well so if we take the NATO strap off you can see the back

there now the interesting thing about this is the display case on the back of

this watch the glass or the crystal has a blue tint to it also to match the

color stylings of the rest of this watch this watch is actually operated with a

high quality Miyata 8215 movement which incidentally is the same movement that's

in the standard automatic hose it's in my green automatic o as well as my out

of medical black now let's take a look at this watch as it's compared to my

green automatic oh that you guys saw me review not too long ago so if we hold

these guys side-by-side and forgive me for being all over the place with them

you can see the general style of the two watches is very similar the

main difference looking at the watches again that not so damaged in Italy

filled to the iron bridge editions but also the hour hand and the minute hand

are different on both of these watches you can see whip though Iron Bridge

watch it's got kind of a square triangle at the head of that hour hand looking

around the watches themselves look if I can get them in the same direction at

the same time they both very same same case size can't same everything

they both say made in Italy on them the crowns for both of them are just the

same there's even the crown guards are the exact same that they're essentially

the exact same watch with the exception of the limited edition has different

hands different so unlike other videos I'm not gonna dive into a whole lot of

what this watch is going for on the open market I'm not gonna go and check out

Amazon and eBay and see what it's selling for there but I do want to talk

about the value of these corner watches for just a second one of the things that

I find really really really interesting with out of world watches is how much

the value or the the selling price of these watches can fluctuate based on

market demand so recently within the past couple of months Mayer Bridge

released their out of order ghost limited edition watch which went on sale

for pre-order a few months back the limited edition ghost went for a

thousand dollars now I believe if I remember correctly when this one this

Iron Bridge originally sold out its website it went for $1000 also however

with watch gang releasing it as a Platinum sub in because at the time when

this was released not a whole lot of people knew what out of order watches

were and not a whole lot of people especially knew what Iron Bridge Watch

Company was so the value on this watch around that time was basically the watch

gang sub price of $299 over the past year when watch gang has released more

recently the automatic owes to the Platinum subscriptions the prices have

started to go up as far as buying these from private sellers the demand for

these watches and the prices has started to go up and especially with the release

of the ghost limited edition in my opinion the price skyrocketed now when I

originally started looking for this watch guys we're selling this watch

anywheres from 850 to 900 and fifty dollars for for this limited edition air

bridge most of the time it's a watch that they had received as a part of

their watch gang Platinum subscription I personally was not willing to pay that

much for this watch so I just held my breath and kept an eye out to see what

what was coming around about two months ago I ran into a guy on watch can you

exchange nationally saw him advertised this watch up for sale or trade yeah I

immediately the second I saw get posted I immediately messaged this guy and

offered him what I felt was a fair price for this watch knowing full well that it

was significantly lower than what the going rate was for on the iron bridge

watches at the time to my surprise he actually accepted my offer I purchased

this watch approximately a month and a half two months ago give or take for

five hundred dollars right now if you look on watch Danny exchange or you look

on any of the other sites these watches are going in the anywhere is from 775

all the way up to 150 bucks I've seen this watch selling

for and I just happen to be in the right place at the right time with the right

amount of money in hand yeah pick this watch out for $500 so that is one of the

reasons why I was so excited about getting this watch in getting this one

into my collection because it's one that I've wanted for a while though I love

the blue on this watch the blue absolutely makes this watch look in my

opinion absolutely gorgeous don't get me wrong I like the green automatic oh and

black automatic oh that I have but I think in my estimation this this blue

Ironbridge is by far a much much nicer looking watch than the other two so that

was the iron bridge Limited Edition out of order automatic oh that I received in

as I mentioned extremely excited about this watch cannot wait to get this into

the daily rotation now as I mentioned many times over the past week and as I

mentioned previously in the video now's the chance for you guys to win one of my

watches so here's the deal guys very the first thing you have to do if

you're not a subscriber already go ahead and hit that subscribe button down to

the right hand corner of the screen because without being the subscriber

you're not going to be eligible - somewhere in this video I mentioned how

long I've had this watch for now this watch has been sitting in my studio for

a little while additionally three different occasions three different

watch reviews this watch actually made a guest appearance if you guys can figure

out what watch reviews this blue limited edition out of order made a guest

appearance in the first subscriber that pulls up in the comments below what

three videos they were I will send you one of my watches free of charge

I'll pay shipping I'll pay everything the wash is

to you and I promise you it's gonna be a watch that's been reviewed on this

channel before it's going to be a watch that I like and a watch that I sincerely

hope you like as well so to recap in order to win one of my

watches you have to subscribe to somewhere in this video I mentioned how

long I've had this watch that's going to give you a hint as to what you're

Guardians of the Galaxy #148 Review - Duration: 2:53.

Written by Gerry Duggan Penciled by Marcus To

Eve shows Rider and Star Lord what they've been hiding - a gigantic Infinity Stone.

They return to The Rock with a plan...

They tell Adsit they found a Nova graveyard and space pirates had taken over the outpost.

Meanwhile Rocket continues his internal affairs investigation, even getting a promotion.

Elsewhere in the galaxy, Drax finally finds Xian and his Nova crew.

The explanation that Thanos simply broke out of his prisoner transport doesn't fool him.

He tells Drax they threw Thanos into a black hole, while another corpsman reveals another

group of Ultron-infected refugees.

Xian moves to execute them but Drax stops him.

Suddenly one of them speaks to him telepathically.

It turns out that Thanos was released as a bargain that he wouldn't attack Xian's true

masters - The Raptors.

Drax moves to arrest the traitors but one of them heard he was now a pacifist.

Turns out he heard wrong.

The criminals board the ship and Drax explains to the refugees they won't be safe anywhere

they go.

He instead gifts them a shuttle and they leave, in the Guardians' favor.

When he returns to The Rock, he tells Adsit that Xian's crew were Shi'ar spies.

Peter Quill admonishes Gamora for not telling him Rich Rider was alive.

She asks if they found anything interesting and he repays the favor to her by telling

her that no, they did not.

Drax boards The Milano feeling depressed.

He puts on a Springsteen tune and almost plays his saxophone before changing his mind.

The issue wraps on Nowhere, with one of the Groot-clones attacking an alien.

He calls for backup and gets it in the form of a flame thrower, burning the giant flora

to death.

There Cosmo the Spacedog has heeded his call.

He later asks for his helmet.

He needs to find the Guardians of the Galaxy - and with that, this issue is to be continued.

Obviously it's always nice to check in with one of the original Guardians lineups, and

with Nova and soon to be Cosmo, it appears that's the gameplan.

This series concludes in just 2 more issues, later to coincide with what I assume is synergy

with the Infinity stone quests.

How long until the return of Adam Warlock?

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

For this one, I give it an 8/10.

Diaper Bag Review - Koala Baby - Duration: 3:38.

in this video I review the Koala baby multitasker 5-piece diaper bag set a

great option with lots of features that I will break down for you stay tuned

hi I'm Amanda and welcome to parent pacifier on this channel we share

parenting tips stories and product reviews just like this one if you're new

here consider subscribing and hitting that Bell icon so you never miss a video

this is the Koala baby 5 piece multi tasker diaper bag set I really like this

bag it's beautiful it's actually very easy to clean and super spacious and has

a lot of pockets I also like how long the straps are they're super long but

not too bad where you feel like you're carrying a luggage with you

it has also a nice little second bag in here as well I really like that as well

and I'm gonna dive into that in a second but on the outside its really awesome

how it has a lot of different pockets in it you can easily reach behind you in

the car or even reach behind you while you're carrying it and just dip in your

hand real quick grab something easy it also has different pockets on the

side as well it's not just two big ones here it has

two on the side so inside it has a separate diaper bag it's nice and cute

nice and small but also has a lot of different pockets as well the changing

pad that's included is not too big so it's pretty good for if you have a

little small baby but as your baby grows you may need to get a little bit of a

bigger one it also comes with a bottle holder as well I kind of wish this was a

thermal because it can keep your bottles nice and warm or if they're even cold so

that is one thing I'm kind of disappointed with this has a lot of

pockets in front like I said and also has them on the side just like the big

bag itself so it can fit your diapers it can fit your wipes in here it could fit

your ointment cream in here it could fit a lot of different things in here

including these too if you prefer them inside and it has a zipper what I like

to do is leave this in the car with all the extra diapers and wipes and clothes

I may need and just take the I'm the go with me also has a nice

length strap so you can put it over your shoulder and it's easy to carry like a

little pocket book inside the big bag is attached an accessory bag I really like

this because people use it for their keys and everything but if your babies

like mine they pee through their things they

poop through their things and I need to rinse things right away before they

leave a lot of stains so I put the wet clothing in this little bag and it keeps

everything else dry inside so that's fun and it's attached to it so you never

lose it I really like this bag and recommend it if you're looking for a

spacious over-the-shoulder diaper bag that's easy for reach and organized if

you're looking to buy the Koala baby multitasker or add it to your registry

we provided the link in the description below question for you what is your

favorite over-the-shoulder diaper bag and why write it in the comments below

we are also providing a free downloadable diaper bag checklist you

can click on it below thank you for watching and don't forget to subscribe

Honor 7X Review With Camera Samples | BEST PHONE UNDER 15,000 INR ! - Duration: 8:37.

Hello Friends Welcome on aamTECH, I am Suhel

And Today We'll Talk About Honor 7X, If You are searching for phone under 15000 INR then

Then Please Watch This Full Video of Honor 7X

Its A Short and Simple Review of Honor 7X

So Let's Begin,

Talking about the design, the design looks cool

Also the built quality is very good

it does not look like its a budget phone

it looks very premium

I have oppo f5, oneplus and mi A1

if i compare with all this phone, honor 7x looks very attractive

I like its design

And after honor 7x i like oneplus 5's design

mi A1 is quite bad in terms of design

design wise its a very good phone

as faar as the color is concerned, the blue model looks good

obviously the blue stands out from the crowd

as compare to other phones

All Ports are their on Honor 7X

Lets Talk about the display

the display is very good on this one

its a 5.93 inches display

Its very handy to handle

and easily you can handle with one hand

just by a single hand

at first you'll face some problems but then its okay

but yeah you can manage with one hand

you wont see any problem

talking about the display quality

display is very vibrant

its good if used for gaming and movies

and you'll love this display

and in outdoor conditions you wont notice any problem

you can clearly read display content under the sun light

you can chat directly under the sun light

lets talk about hardware and performance

definitely its a very good phone

talking about the hardware

you get 4GB RAM, 32 and 64GB storage on honor 7x

i have a 128GB model which is not yest released in india

talking about the performance of honor 7x

then the peformance is very good

it can easily run all games

you can play all kinds of heavy games on Honor 7X

you wont notice any lags

yes you can observe some frame drops but thats okay

it happens on high graphics game

specially in asphalt 8 airbourne

its runs fine on average settings

then definitely its very good phone

You Can Play All Heavy Games Without Any Problem

Games Will Run No Matter What You Play

I dont think you'll see any problem

due to wide display this one is very good

Plus point on honor 7sx is its display and performance

Heating issue is not present on this one

its heats less as compared to mi a1

it doesnt heat that much

so yeah its a plus point

talking about the software

you gest android 7.1 on honor 7x

very soon you'll get android oreo update

you get EMUI 5.1 User Interface

i think its a fluid interface

if we compare this one with MIUI 9, EMUI

EMUI 5.1 is very good

its very easy and smooth too use

additional features like multi window and all is present

which is a very good thing of honor 7x

interface is very smooth and fluid

there is problem on youtube app of this phone

actually thats a youtube app issue

let me tell you that blackout thing on this phone

is due to the youtube app, its not your phone problem

if you dont know let me tell you on honor 7x theres a issue

of display getting black while video streaming

that blackout thing is a bug of youtube app for this phone

thats a youtube issue dont worry

i guess you get it

itll be fine in next update

let me clear you its not a phone issue

some users asked me so i said

so there is no issue in honor 7x

that's a youtube problem, simply just use chrome browser

camera is a main feature of this phone

and kept camera on ths last

cause i know its a important feature

i feel cameras on honor 7x are very good

as compared to mi a1

mi a1 is also very good there is no issue

i liked camera of honor 7x

specially for low light

if youll do some adjustment it'll perform good

and yes i liked its camera

talking about selfies

selfie do come out very good

all your shots are very good

yeah bokeh effect

both cameras are very good

they do perform very good in videos as well

you also get some filters and all in camera app

so yes

definitely the camera is very good

i don't think camera is bad on this one

many youtubers are complaining about its camera

etc etc and all

but thats okay its their opinion

but i think its a very good camera phone

so do wait for more improvements

so for the time camera is very good on Honor 7X

specially in low light

talking about the battery of this phone

you get an 3340mAh battery

battery backup is very good on this one

it lasted for around one two days

i used honor 7x as my primary phone instead of oneplus 5

i got 18-20 hours battery backup on honor 7x

it lasts more in power saving mode

its performs very good

its a good phone

for battery backup

charging is a issue

it takes around two and half hours to charge it full

but i think they should have gave fast battery charging

which is not present on this one

i dont know why

now coming to the question

should you buy honor 7x ?

i think yes definitely

you can go with 32GB or 64GB, but i think 32GB is good for you

thats also very good

cause there is no compromise in ram

dont pay 3000 INR extra for Honor 7X

32GBModel is good you should buy 32gb honor 7x

its a very good phone

if you want then do buy honor 7x

if you compare this one with mi a1 then this is good

mi a1 doesnt have 18:9 display which is a very bad thing

also the display is very bad on mi a1

thats problem with mi a1

if display is your priority then definitely honor 7x is best for you

well yes thats it for today

thank you so much

if you have any questions you can ask us

and please do subscribe aamTECH

everyday ill bring good content for you

and ill also post one video

on mi a1 vs honor 7x

if you want to watch mi a1 vs honor 7x

yes follow us if you're watching this video on uc news

subscribe us if you're watching this video on youtube

and yes thats it for today

thank you so much

Why Return of the Joker is the Best Batman Movie - A Review - Duration: 19:49.

Let's take a step back in time way back to

2002

you're an 11 year old boy on the cusp of puberty with a goth older sister who you think is the coolest person on the

Planet and you're looking for goth things that you can be like her

This is the ox and the hot thing is new metal

And you remember this VHS tape that she was watching that had something to do with metal and also was the same as that cartoon

With the cool robot that you liked a new figure yeah

I'll watch this so you pop the tape into the VHS sit down and this happens

This

this thing

hair the dress the dancing

This is the coolest thing your early-2000s brain has ever seen this just utterly blows your mind

Nothing could possibly top this. Then the movie itself starts, and it's just... no, forget that music video.

THIS is the coolest thing you've ever seen in your life

And that tape is so good that it fundamentally changes your feelings on Batman. On superheroes. On villains. On

cartoons in general.

Back in January of last year I had this idea to watch all of Batman Beyond in order from start to finish

In order to not get burnt out with a binge and give up halfway through I'd watch one episode a week. And in

order to keep myself committed to the rewatch I'd write reviews of each episode as I watched them

This project turned into my tumblr, BatmanBeyondReviews

Eventually as I worked on the reviews

I realized that there were other

topics that I wanted to talk about, which led to the creation of this YouTube channel and my first video.

It's been a year since I started BatmanBeyondReviews,

and I have officially watched all 52 episodes of Batman Beyond. And honestly, this has been a long

strangely emotional journey for me.

I've loved Batman Beyond for years,

but a few years ago the series became linked with a dark and traumatic period of my life which

killed a lot of my enjoyment of the series.

BatmanBeyondReviews was essentially a way of moving past that trauma and

finding a new enjoyment in the series that had dominated my life for nearly two decades before.

So with my last review,

I feel like I'm ending an important chapter of my life. One of healing and growth.

My reviews have been for myself first and foremost,

but as the year has gone on more than 200 people have joined me on my journey

and I'm happy that my reviews have resonated with so many people.

But if we're going to end, this we've got to end this right.

There's one more review that I have to do.

A review that in a way has been on my mind since I was 11 years old.

A movie that was a watershed film for me. That I would not be the person I am today if I had not watched it.

It's at a standard that all their superheroes must meet. So if it seems like I'm a bit biased - yes,

I am, absolutely, but I managed to handle my reviews of the series in an objective way,

so I'm going to be following my own format for the rest of this video.

Oh yeah. It's time to review Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

Have you ever had a movie that you've just seen so many times that the plot is ingrained into your very being?

Something that you've seen over and over to the point that it's just a part of you? Where you know every line of dialogue

every action beat, where you just know and have absorbed all of it?

I stared at this page for days trying to figure out how to really talk about the plot of this movie,

which is difficult because there's just so much to talk about and I honestly don't want to spoil anything if you haven't already seen it.

There are some amazing twists and turns, and they really need to be enjoyed.

But to talk about how well the plot is handled, here's a really quick recap.

So a gang of Joker's have been stealing large industrial technology, which is unusual for a group of petty thieves and vandals.

They are employed by a person who seems to be the Joker, except

he's far too young and spry to really be THE Joker.

But he soon makes his presence known to Bruce, who is in shock because, as Terry puts it: You killed him didn't you?

He was going to do something so terrible you had no other choice.

Bruce asks Terry to give up being Batman as a way to protect him,

but Terry rebels. When the Jokerz go after Terry - not Batman

but Terry - and then Bruce, Terry demands the truth from the only other person who knows it.

He learns the fate of the Joker and the worst thing the Joker has ever done.

From there the heat is on to figure out what's going on and who's really behind this impossible Joker

before the Clown Prince of Crime can wipe out Gotham with a weapons satellite jammer.

The thing about the plot is that this plot pushes the envelope of what is expected of American children's animation.

This should come as no surprise as the powerhouse team of Bruce Timm and Paul Dini,

known for it is alternatively called the Timmverse or the Diniverse or by its official name,

The DC Animated Universe, are well known and respected for their mature take on superheroes.

I'd call it 'adult' but in this day and age adult takes up on superheroes tend to mean something like this

Adult seems to mean 'superheroes are dumb and must be fundamentally changed to be palatable.'

Which is not what the DCAU did. The DCAU

embraced the superhuman and the heroic in their properties instead of just making things dark.

That said, when it comes to being dark, Return of the Joker is about as dark as you can get

The movie is rather infamous due to the fact that the widely released version is unrated while the director's cut received a hard R.

And according to Bruce Timm, the original drafts of the film were even

darker, to the point Warner Brothers kept asking for more and more cuts.

This was always meant to be a hard-edged film, going to places that American cartoons never go and

challenging even where a Batman film in general can go.

This plot is complex, with a powerful emotional cord that runs throughout it.

A major theme is trauma and how people cope with trauma,

specifically how men bury their emotions and how a lack of communication

hampers personal growth and allows for trauma to keep grip on one's entire psyche.

The story asserts that PTSD is a monster lurking inside anyone who has been through trauma,

threatening to take over and turn people who are once bright and effervescent

Into entirely different people. That trauma can make someone lash out and continue cycles of abuse.

Although in this case,

it's a very literal way of saying this. And

this is all couch through the language of superheroes, bringing to light for the first time in a children's medium the idea that

superheroes live lives steeped in trauma. I first saw it when I was around 11 years old and it blew my mind.

I had never thought about why Batman had never killed the Joker or about what it would be like to leave a vigilante

lifestyle. And while recent superhero movies have tried. I don't think any of them have really properly addressed these issues.

They seek heavy themes, they seek darkness, they seek redemption arcs, but none of those things can be achieved without a clear vision.

Return of the Joker had a vision, a purpose. To answer the questions: what happened to the Joker? What happened to Robin?

What happens, inevitably, to superheroes? In finding those answers the film creates a wickedly dark, at times funny, and

overall deeply enthralling narrative that almost didn't make it to audiences. The creators understood their characters

and how to handle them, most notably the film's villain and the film's protagonist.

I have nothing against Heath Ledger, may he rest in peace,

but whenever I hear people talk about his version of the Joker,

they talk about it as if it is the definitive version of the character. And I'm sorry,

but Ledger's Joker cannot hold a candle to Mark Hamill's.

Specifically Hamill in this role. If this film had been released in theaters. This would have been a career-defining rule for Hamill,

I'm sure. This should be the gold standard of the Joker. Not Nicholson, not Ledger, not whatever

horseshit this is.

This version of the Joker is pure distilled nightmare clown.

And that is in large part thinks the specific inspiration for this particular Joker.

The thing about the Joker as a character is that each version brings something unique to the table

Don't like the camp of Romero? Well, Nicholson has a darker take. Want something even grittier and more realistic? Here's Ledger.

Hamill's Joker holds a particular place in the Joker line-up.

He's more manic and chaotic than Nicholson, but more fun and flashy than Ledger. He's charismatic, but creepy.

Then Return of the Joker came along and he was given a bit of a makeover and an updated

personality, and that catapulted him up to the top of the stack when it comes to creepy.

So let's talk about design first.

The Joker's design from Batman: The Animated Series was good, taking most of its inspiration pretty directly from the original comic

appearances of the character, with a sharper, sleeker look.

For Return of the Joker, the art team had a difficult time coming up with the right

redesign for him until they started sharing a copy of Thomas Harris's recently released novel 'Hannibal'.

The descriptions of the titular Hannibal Lecter as a looming figure with red eyes and slicked back hair

proved to be the perfect inspiration for this new Joker. All the details are stripped away, the purple zoot suit replaced with a black bodysuit,

leaving only his face and hands. And those hands. Bruce Timm described them as strangler hands,

which is all you really need to know about this Joker. this Joker is willing to get his hands dirty.

His design was more serial killer than Clown Prince of Crime and that alone ups his intimidation factor.

But design alone can't carry a character, and what makes this joker stand out is how deeply sinister

he is in a way that no other Joker has managed to capture.

Forget sticking bombs inside of guys or sending dead rats to coworkers,

this Joker is the worst threat that Batman has ever faced, because he's the only one to get truly personal.

In a move that is obviously inspired by the controversial death of the Robin Jason Todd in the comics,

this Joker kidnaps and tortures Robin Tim Drake to the breaking point. All for what, exactly? To start a family?

No, while Joker plays at a relationship with Harley,

it's a horrible power imbalance, and he doesn't really care about her wants or needs. No,

he does this purely to hurt Batman, because he knows Bruce will not kill him.

It's an almost self-destructive act. Either it will finally destroy Batman, therefore taking away

The Joker's main source of fun, or it will push Bruce far enough to result in the Joker's death.

Joker hits Batman where it'll hurt the most,

taking away his surrogate family from him and then mocking him once

he finds out that that family is really all that Bruce wanted in the end.

This one act brings to light all the weaknesses of Batman as a character and the series' Bruce never recovers from it.

To go back to the idea of trauma, this version of the Joker is essentially driven by the need to traumatize everyone connected to Batman.

And it's not enough for the Joker to just hurt Bruce, but to cause lasting psychological damage. Barbara puts

it best: The Joker sought to completely compromise Batman and his team, and he succeeded, something no other Joker has managed to do.

One of the major parts of any Batman's character motivation is the need for control

after a traumatic event, and with his twisted acts in this film, Joker shows Bruce that he can never have control.

This is what makes Hamill's Joker the single most effective Joker. Because Bruce's entire worldview has been permanently changed.

Bruce cannot bounce back from this.

But he doesn't have to.

Beyond had the good sense to know when to retire a character, something that pop culture in general has a problem with.

And it's through Bruce's replacement that we see the emotional triumph of the film.

From the word go, Terry has stood out as a radically different character from Bruce. Terry's everything Bruce isn't: a brash, cocky, arrogant kid,

intelligent, but doesn't apply himself, who came from very little and from whom society expects very little. Bruce has a kind of patriarchal authority

To him that worked in the unstable 1940s when America was just leaving the great depression and entering into a war,

but as we move further away in history from Batman's conception,

cracks begin to show in the character, with some authors going so far as to critique Batman for having noticeably fascist undertones.

Terry was created in the late 90s and it shows.

He is very much a gen Xer. He's everything expected from a cyberpunk protagonist:

self-taught,

self-reliant, but crushed under system of capitalism and an unfair justice system,

fighting back against corporate greed and corruption. A hero of the underclass, not just trying to fight crime but to make people's lives better.

Very early on in the film Terry lays out his motivations for continuing to be Batman:

I was a pretty bad kid once.

Ran with a rough crowd, broke a lot of laws, to say nothing of my folks' hearts.

The kind of punk you wouldn't have wasted a second punch on back in the day.

I'm trying to make up for past sins. I guess on a personal level

It's a chance to look like a worthwhile human being again.

In my eyes if no one else's.

It's what I want, Bruce. He's not in it for revenge, but for personal redemption,

and this is what makes him a compelling character to follow throughout the story.

This is a fully realized character with a more clearly defined goal than any other

Batman before him. His arc raises an interesting question for a vigilante story: should criminals, especially those abandoned by the system, have the

opportunity for redemption?

And in the end, does it matter who recognizes that redemption? Terry is motivated by a need for

self-actualization, and that makes him incredibly human.

Because Terry comes from a different world from Bruce, his approach is different.

I have seen Terry criticized as an heir to Batman because he's less of a thinker and more of a brawler,

but this movie makes it clear that just because he isn't well-educated,

doesn't mean that Terry isn't smart. Bruce knows how to scare people, but Terry truly understands people.

And that's why he's able to do something Bruce has never been able to achieve:

He can get under the Joker's skin. Just by talking to him. Get a clue, Clowny. He's got no sense of humor.

He wouldn't know a good joke if it bit him in a cape.

Not that you ever had a good joke. Shut up. Shut up! The final fight of the movie is the best Batman vs

Joker fight ever put to the film. It highlights why Bruce could never win against the Joker, and displays a rise of a new generation.

There's something chilling about how easily Terry can get into the Joker's head,

and it's so satisfying when it happens. In a way,

this is the only way Terry could have defeated the Joker, because the Joker is the film's metaphor for trauma.

We cannot defeat our trauma by physically fighting it.

It's through this final fight that Terry defeats the trauma that lingers over the film.

He confronts Bruce's trauma, but also confronts his own,

lingering from his time in juvie. This is clear because it is Terry's actions that finally allow Bruce to open up and address his own

feelings about the Joker's death.

It isn't just the trauma that Terry is dealing with though. Remember,

he is also fighting for self-actualization, and in the end he achieves it. More than that, he comes to understand

that is not Batman who makes him worthwhile,

but it's he who makes Batman worthwhile. While other Batman films harp on the idea that Batman is an idea,

this is the only one that takes it in another direction,

That it is the human person within the concept of Batman that makes for such a powerful symbol.

It's an uplifting message, showing every punk and screw-up that they have an inner value and are capable of redemption. Capable of being heroes.

The growth of all the other characters is due to Terry. He drives the movie, carrying all of its emotional weight.

This is the height of Terry's character development; a hero,

but also sort of therapist, driving away the demons that haunt Gotham, proving himself to be a worthwhile successor to the mantle of Batman

because he is already an incredible person. The new generation brings with it a new approach, one based not on fear but on

understanding and feeling.

Even if it is through a macho 90's cybergoth filter.

If this were a written review, this is where I would give the movie a rating.

But if I did, the movie

would be off the scale. It can't be compared to the rest of the show because it's in a league all its own.

It's something far more than a simple little direct-to-video movie.

It is a definitive statement on who the Joker is and what Batman stands for; on the trauma lurking at the core of Batman as

a character and a final act of triumph over that trauma.

It puts its stamp on these characters in a way that nothing else can.

The creators of Batman Beyond had a little story about how they felt when they were asked by the studio to create a

teenaged Batman series. They discuss how the idea was repellent to them, how they wanted to quit.

But instead they put thought and care into it and turned out an amazing new series that leaves the status quo of Batman in the

dust and, eventually led to this movie. And they created something amazing.

Something that sadly has never been accepted into the larger canon of Batman movies.

Perhaps because it's a cartoon, perhaps because it's direct-to-video, perhaps because it's not Bruce under the cowl.

But if I have any real goal with this video and with this year's worth of videos that I have posted to tumblr,

it's that I hope people remember Batman Beyond and give it a chance.

I want other people to be able to appreciate Batman Beyond as much as I have.

And finally, I want to heal from my own trauma.

This is a movie about healing.

It's a movie about recovery from the darkest possible depths of evil, About rising above society's expectations and being a hero.

The plot, villain, and character growth pack an

extraordinary punch for Saturday morning cartoon, to say nothing of the gorgeous animation, fantastic voice acting, or

visceral and stunning fight scenes. It goes where no other Batman movie has really tread,

It takes risks with the story and the characters, and all of those risks paid off in abundance.

So call it nostalgia, call it fanboying, call it whatever you want.

But I will maintain with all my heart that Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker is the best Batman movie ever made.

Until they make a live-action Batman Beyond movie

Come on Warner Brothers, Clint Eastwood is the perfect choice for Batman you gotta make this before he dies.

Go, go get on that. Go. Go.

Thank you for watching this video,

and thank you to everybody who has been following my reviews for the past year. It has been a trip

doing them

and I don't really know what I'm going to do with myself now that I'm

done. Actually, no, I do. I am going to be launching Wright Reviews,

where I will be watching Kamen Rider Kabuto starting next week.

So please follow me on tumblr. If you like this video, and you want to see more like it, please like, share, and subscribe.

Although I will say it's gonna be a little while until I do another Batman Beyond video.

I've got other topics that I want to talk about.

Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time.

Music: "Summer's Gone," by Pretty Lights

I'm Melanie Salemi, and I'm a drag racer

Describe the feeling in that car when you hit it...

Well, I'm pretty comfortable in there

and pretty calm so I don't get too worked up, and if I do, I try to talk on

the radio a lot. I don't know I've done it so many times that the adrenaline is

there but I'm just there doing my job. I bet you fifty dollars he's like I bet

you $100 that it won't happen. When I tell you something you should

believe me... Jim: But we lost... a bet's a bet...

It happened. So now I have the button, and the hundred bucks!

I gotta cook, I have to clean, I have to organize all these guys...

I have to keep them under control...

Dude: Really?

Heck yeah! Especially him!

Hey there's my young lad brother right there. Put my Zed 28 in the laneway...

So we're here at Lancaster National dragway for the family and friends night...

Also known as ladies night... ladies night, yes...

This is ladies night...

How was that run right there? Oh I left good and then it went "bump"...

So then I lifted. Two in a row! We did it! We had whopping 5.44 right? Mel: Yeah, that's my

best personal time here at Lancaster. Yeah at 82 miles an hour and

pretty sure the junior dragsters go faster than that!

I've been 82 miles an hour here, in a junior dragster that has 35 horsepower... and that's it, folks!

When I say she's one of the best drivers that I've ever worked with, what

I mean by that is she takes direction like nobody else that I've ever worked with.

That's something I pride myself on...because

they taught me how to drive a pro modified car which is completely

different than driving my seven-second dragster. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't

know how to do this.

Jon: I love you! Mel: the Aruba car won in front and I said "I wanna go to Aruba" he goes "if you win

this round we'll go"...we usually eat dinner when the races are finished that could

be at 3am, or 5:30am if you win.

The Witch's Isle Review - Duration: 8:16.

The Witch's Isle is from a Japanese mobile game developer.

This game launched on mobile devices in July and came to Steam in September.

Hang on though because it's a point and click game that doesn't suffer from being

a mobile game.

Either way The Witch's Isle is a great looking point and click with an intriguing well written

story.

I was little nervous because the screens look so good but it seems there was so little interest

in the game.

Usually when a game looks like this it gets fairly popular.

Anyway, The Witch's Isle puts you under the gun to solve the puzzle of the island

and keep your life.

The basic story has a witch controlling the island with a curse but tonight a thief came

in and stole an urn from her.

She has tasked you with finding it and returning it to her before four am.

This creates a hard time limit to complete the game, it's about one hour in real time

but six hours in game time.

It's meant to be played through a few times as the game has seven different endings.

I think the timer is very divisive.

It's required to make the endings mean something or else everyone would go for the best ending

right away and spend as much time as they wanted.

There's a reason to push yourself to move quickly and solve two puzzles at a time.

The game doesn't count time while you are talking or using inventory so that's very

fair.

I didn't feel that much pressure my first time through and on a second play through

you'll have so much more knowledge about where to go you won't waste time.

You're not meant to get the best ending the first time through.

It could get repetitive and that's the danger with this type of game but once through is

so short, I can spare the time to play through again.

With the first playthrough you experience the island and learn about all the areas.

The next playthrough you with be able to finish up more of the story so time is spent differently.

The town is really small so you need to investigate every nook and cranny as actually there are

many different areas to explore.

More of the town becomes open for exploration as the game goes on and there are a few surprises

as well.

There are so many townsfolk to talk to.

You'll learn about the them as well as the history of the island.

The ending you get is tied to how much of the lore you learn about before handing the

urn back to the witch.

The writing is pretty good and nothing stood out to me as strange.

The translation was done very well.

For at least a couple of the other point and click games I've looked at I've rolled

my eyes at the dialog.

I'm sure you've already taken notice that the art really stands out!

I find it to be the correct amount of dreary that fits the theme without going too far

to make it uninteresting.

The island is close to being one color and I think that fits into the story well.

Also when switching levels the foreground and background move in a way that looks awesome.

A simple parallax technique that makes the town feel much bigger and have much more depth.

It's an old school technique that's more typically used to make the background move

at a different speed.

It's fun to see it applied here in a different way.

The island is short left to right and much bigger top to bottom.

It's very clever.

I think lighting is used very well and seems like the developer has a good eye for small

details.

I know a lot of my enjoyment in this game came from the visuals.

Mechanically it's a point and click game so it's very basic.

There are a few things included to help the player out.

First you can speed up cut scenes, especially useful since you might have to watch them

a couple times.

Next you can follow other people you've already met on the island, even after a restart.

This is useful because some people move around and for certain characters you will need them

to be in their home to get what you need.

This way you can multitask.

Witch's Isle also gives you two different save slots so you can try a few things without

wasting your time.

The final quality of life mechanic is a hint system.

You have to wait five minutes real time before you can get a hint to the next step.

It definitely spoils the game but if you're someone who doesn't want to be stuck then

it's useful.

Otherwise I don't think any steps needed the hint.

The game is easy enough to explore and find everything without help, especially if you're

on board to play through multiple times.

The story is not new but it's unusual and I wanted to see the whole thing with the true

ending.

There are some unique twists in finding out about the island that surprised me.

I figured it was going to be very basic pick up this item use it right away here.

It's not that obvious but it's not difficult either.

The game doesn't shout at you where to go next, it's just that the island is small

enough to search everything.

One thing I can say is that I've gotten really good at completing the game and it

can be run very quickly if you know where everything is.

If you're going to play the game then skip to the time shown on the screen because I'm

going to be talking about spoilers.

Three, two, one.

OK you've been warned.

So the endings are fairly similar, at least the ones where you turn in the urn.

It's the same cutscene but extended if you've found more of the lore.

For example if you turn in the urn immediately you're cursed but if you have some of the

lore then there's some more dialog but you're still cursed.

Even then the difference between the normal end and the true end is about fifteen seconds

of cutscene tacked on at the end which is rather annoying.

The game doesn't follow through on the true ending and show you the island getting back

to normal and how their lives changed for the better.

It's just a cutscene showing the curse leaving people with the credits.

Also I'm pretty sure the spell is broken on the main character and the armorsmith half

way through the game but they don't dive into their memories.

I really wanted the game to let me free other villagers from the curse and hear their stories

about how they got to the island.

What is cool is how the game sends you to new areas like around the other side of the

island.

Even better is when I completely missed an area because it's slightly hidden but not

blocked.

There is a forest behind the bell tower that I didn't even know existed until my third

time through the game.

There are also clues littered around that can help you figure out what to do without

the hints.

Like the cave covered with vines needs to be cut with the axe but you can't bring

the axe with you.

There are berries on the rocks above the cave and the same berries are on a cliff above

it to show you that you can lower the axe.

Really smart to provide a link to the areas without giving too much away.

Overall The Witch's Isle is a short game that's straight to the point and didn't

waste my time.

It's not too easy and the story is interesting.

There's enough twists that you'll want to keep exploring the island.

I found it worth the price.

Yeah it's a mobile game but it doesn't suffer from any of the typical mobile pitfalls

that effect more action based games.

I think you should check out this game for something beautiful

and unique.

2005-2010 Mustang V6 Eibach Sportline Spring Kit Review & Install - Duration: 6:13.

If you're looking for the biggest drop possible with a lowering spring for your 2005 to 2010

V6, look no further than the Eibach Sportlines.

Now, these springs will drop your early S197 V6 just over an inch and a half up front and

a whopping 2 inches in the rear while the progressive rate spring will maintain a relatively

comfortable on-road driving experience.

Now, your price point for the Eibachs will be in the mid-$200 range while the install

will get a middle-of-the-road 2 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter from me with a little

bit more detail to come later in the video.

So the Sportlines are and have always been my go-to choice for the Mustang owners out

there who wanna go low no matter what generation we're talking about, and that's because they

consistently offer the biggest drop out of any spring in the category, and that certainly

is the case here when we're talking about the 2005 to '10 4-liter V6.

Now, there are a lot of other spring options that will come close to matching Eibach's

1.6-inch drop for the front, but where the Sportlines really differ is the massive 2-inch

drop in the rear, which on average is at least a 1/2-inch bigger than some other springs

you will encounter on the site for your V6.

And this tells us two things, one, your car will obviously be low and, two, the big drop

in the rear will make for a more leveled look overall, eliminating some of that nose-down

rake, which some people might like while others might prefer that old-school muscle car nose-down

stance.

But regardless of what kind of stance you prefer, that big drop will certainly improve

your all-around appearance by eliminating that ugly 4x4 stance along with that wheel

gap, which, let's be honest, can sometimes make or break the entire car.

But lowering your car will also improve other areas of your Mustang's performance thanks

to that lower center of gravity and the firmer spring rate.

Now, the car should feel a little bit more confident in turns, less body roll, shouldn't

really nose dive too hard when you're really standing on the brakes and shouldn't squat

as hard when you're leaving the line under hard acceleration.

And, speaking of spring rates, the Sportlines here do feature what is called a progressive

spring rate, and I think that's something you will find with a majority of the aftermarket

springs within the category.

Now, the deal here, gang, is that these springs will progressively firm up the harder they

are compressed.

This way you are getting a softer, a little bit more comfortable initial spring rate for

the daily driving out there, but once you start hitting those corners a little bit harder,

you'll start engaging those firmer spring rates, reducing the body roll in the process.

Specifically, V6 owners will be looking at a rate varying from 126 pounds to 274 pounds

for the front spring while the rears will range from 80 pounds to 240 pounds respectively.

Now, Eibach also includes some new bump stops, as you guys can see here, along with some

brand-new dust covers for the front.

So, yes, you are gonna be paying a little bit more for the Eibachs initially compared

to some other springs in the category, but you are getting some small little extras as

well in addition, of course, to that trusted Eibach reputation.

Now, there are a couple of things to consider here.

First and foremost, throwing this aggressive of a drop or a spring on the stock high-mileage

shocks and struts is a recipe for disaster, at least in my humble opinion.

The ride quality will certainly not be enjoyable, and I can almost guarantee you will blow out

your factory dampers over time or after a few thousand miles, as the stock stuff really

wasn't designed to operate with a firmer spring in addition to that slammed ride high.

So, with all that said, you might wanna consider checking out an aftermarket set of shocks

and struts before installing the Sportlines, or you can totally roll the dice and install

this on the stock stuff, in fact, some of our customers have and had some good results,

but, ultimately, that is up to you.

Now, in addition to the shock and strut debate, I would also strongly recommend looking into

a set of caster camber plates or at least camber bolts to help you get everything back

in the spec up front.

As for the rear, because you are dropping it 2 inches back there, you'll certainly wanna

entertain an adjustable Panhard bar, because more than likely your axle will shift to one

side after you lower the car with the factory nonadjustable Panhard bar still in place.

The adjustable option will just simply give you the ability to center that rear axle after

the car has been lowered.

Let's quickly shift gears and talk about the install, and you're gonna be looking at a

middle-of-the-road two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter here, maybe a few

hours to a half a day in the shop or garage depending on your experience level and just

how fast you like to work.

Now, tool list will be pretty lengthy but will include things like a full socket set,

a few open-ended wrenches, jack and jack stands, of course, or a lift if you're lucky, and

then, finally, a spring compressor to help you with the fronts.

And, speaking of the fronts, they will be the more time-consuming part of the install,

at least in my opinion, as that strut assembly will need to be removed from the car completely

in order to swap springs using your spring compressor.

Now, the rears will just simply involve supporting the rear axle, dropping the sway bar, and

removing the lower shock bolts, which will in turn allow the rear end to sag enough to

remove the factory springs and then install the new Eibach Sportlines.

As always, guys, it's never a bad idea to get your alignment checked out after doing

an install like this to make sure everything looks good and, again, is within spec.

So, wrapping this one up, if you're all about that low life with your V6 and yet don't wanna

fork out the big money to grab a set of coilovers or air ride, you'll certainly wanna check

out the Eibach Sportlines right here at americanmusle.com.
