Hello and welcome to Best Western Plus Hotel Svendborg.
My name is Tom Pelle and I am the hotel director.
With us it is important that you feel safe and secure in our surroundings,
- therefore I will briefly review our security procedure.
The hotel has 135 rooms spread over 4 floors and 3 departments.
And then we have 1500m2 conference, spread over 2 floors.
If a fire occurs in your room or at one of our hotel corridors,
we ask you, as soon as possible, to go to one of the corridors,
and activate one of these alarm boxes.
Then a warning tone will sound in the area affected by the fire.
However, be aware that if you are in the area around the Atrium,
- the hotel's electronic system will automatically detect a fire.
The reception is alerted by dialing 500 at the nearest hotel phone.
Then follow the receptionist's instructions.
If the power of the hotel goes off, there will be emergency lighting, making you able
to follow the escape routes.
On the overview you can see where the escape routes are.
At the hotel there is fire extinguishing material available at the following locations.
And you will find the fire stairs here.
It is important to remember that you should not use the hotel's lifts under a fire situation
Instead, use the fire stairs.
When the alarm sounds go towards the hotel reception,
exit the main entrance and gather at the square in front of the hotel where we make counting.
Are you in one of the hotel's lifts and it stops,
- just like this,
- then pick up the phone and call the reception, who will guide you in what will happen next.
If you get sick during your stay, you can contact our reception 24 hours a day.
- we are staffed 24/7.
They will help you contact hospital, doctor or hospital transport.
If you need a defibrillator, it is located in the hotel reception.
Hotel staff are instructed in first aid and use of defibrillator.
And if you need a first aid kit, contact the reception.
