News on Youtube Jul 28 2018

Hey what's going on everybody, so I want to walk you through

mailing boss and if you're watching us today or anytime check the date because

as of today

the

27th of July 2018. They redid a lot of builder all

And mailing boss is obviously part of it all but has a really big change that happened

so now any entrepreneur or anybody using email marketing can actually get

Mailing boss for a very very low one-time fee and I'm telling you right now. I've used a weber I've used MailChimp

I use a couple other

email services and

Mailing boss so far from everything I've used. It's a lot better and a lot more simpler to use

I mean like I mean the most beginner of beginner people and

Email marketing could definitely use this and like be successful with it

Like I I have no doubt in my mind, but I want to show you here

What mailing boss is in the background or the back end so that way you can take advantage of it?

And if you don't I don't take my word for it. I

Posted the link below the funnel that talks all about it gives you more information. Check it out for yourself

See if it's see if it's something for you. I mean I'm telling you if you check it out

I mean it gives you like unlimited sins

quotas

All I mean all that good stuff it's just insane so

You'll go through a link. Okay, so you see here go to list companion subscribers

Subscriber says 2,000 actually just had that 10,000 but they're still messing with this. So it should actually become unlimited

so this way and again, it's like it's

$50 not for a month. Not for a year for the lifetime a

Like $50 for a lifetime of one of the best email marketing services I have ever used

and when it comes to open rates so far I

Sent out like a test campaign and this is the same thing. I'm reading and hearing from a lot of other people

But they're saying that with mailing bought so far like their email like open rates that actually like hit the main people's inboxes

Have been very very high compared to about the things but yeah, let's get into it here. So

Obviously, this is the hole in the screen

Check it out. Yeah, when I go through this you're going to say you're gonna see how easy it is to use

So if you need to create a new subscriber list, super easy

You just do it here. If you want to create a new campaign whether it's like an autoresponder just a regular email. I

Mean, it's super easy. So we'll go through this

Click on tools here just sync

Yeah sync and split you can split your list if you want to or sync subscribers typically from like another platform now here's campaign. So

If you if you had a listen you want to send just like a regular email like you just want to blast a list out

Not like an autoresponder. This is where you do it super simple. You just go to create new and

It's a pop-up here source name it regular when you've got a regular autoresponder

Sequence if you have it available, you can set it up on the sequence and you choose your list obviously

you choose segments because if you have people for tags like

People like if you sent a ton of people your email and like only a certain amount of them opened it so you wanted to

Send an email see the same list, but only to the people who did it open your email

Or maybe they didn't click on a link inside your email. You don't retarget those people

You can typically set them up with tags or you can go and set them up as certain segments and things like that

So and you can see up here. It goes to the details have to fill this. It's setup template confirmation

done which

The template there's a lot of templates to use. It's just email marketing. So there's nothing too crazy

Unless you have like a Shopify store and you do like the kind of the catalog emails

We want to put like pictures your products and things like that. I could definitely see people doing that. Let me go back here

actually, let me go back to the

Email regular so I can show you something so like right here, you'll see

These are a couple campaigns. This is actually an outer spawner set ups

You can see here fires immediately the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 or 6 days afterwards and here's a little test one

I sent out because this is the list I just I just brought this list on and

this is like the first time I emailed them out through a new mailing boss and I kind of want to see like

What the rates we're gonna be in things like that. So

out of 614

577 or obviously successful

There's an error which this list this list needs clean like big-time. I get just been sitting around for a while

That's why I kind of wanted to blast it out and kind of see like hey, how active isn't

Zero unsubscribes. No unsubscribe rate. You can see how many bounce back

Total of 37 and here's again. Here's a cool thing

You can see what the click-through rate was. I put one link in there. That was 15 unique

Clicks for all all clicks for 39 so you again you can track those people you can segment them

And tag them if you need it to

a

Couple I can keep keep like retargeting them and things like that. Now here's another really cool thing

So they have a new thing called workflow. I'll show you this

And here's workflow. So to keep it real simple

What you can do with workflow is

If you're looking at the screen here like say for example

The first woman is like like an email list like either you have a list

That you're currently using or you're like you're creating people who are opting into your list and you put them on like an autoresponder. So

let's say it stopped in to get some sort of offer or

Whatever it is

So you obviously get these people to opt-in for some sort of reason typically in a bicep then just get them on the list

Okay, so when you get them on here you can see you can set up email campaign Nam lists or sequences

So this is just a basic. This is I didn't this isn't actually like is it a real one?

This is a super basic. So it looks pretty ugly but I put this together kind of give me an example

So what it is is somebody opts in here right? Say you offer them something

There's two ways they can go cuz again, you can tag people track them segment them all that good stuff

So say you offer them something and these people took the offer so that you said hey, yeah, they took the offer

So you said a thank you page or whatever it is

Whatever the offer is and then you continuously like if they sign up for an affiliate product or something or some sort of service

And you have like an email

like like autoresponder to like help them to like

Utilize the service they signed up for to really make the most of us so that way key getting paid for it

They're gonna go down this route. Well, let's say they get the email they opened it up, but they don't click that

Maybe they clicked on a link

Maybe they didn't or they just didn't buy what you had to offer so they don't go down this route

they're gonna go down the other route and this is where you're gonna kind of nurture them into a

What we call like a warm lead

and to get them into the buying stage and

Here's what a lot of people miss with emails or email lists. I should say

But I mean you probably under term a buyer is a buyer as a buyer

So if you can get like a ton of buyers on your email list

It's I like your list so you can continuously market to them

You can do very well

Especially when you break it down like this because you're gonna see who exactly it's like on your hot

Hot leads and who's kind of cold needs nurtured and who's just like dead like never open dream emails nothing like that. So

With that and you can see here. That's the beta because again, they like literally just redid a lot of this today and

Yeah, so this is like some of the stuff in here might change but that's kind of the background of mailing boss

it's I'm telling you so so so so so so easy to use like it's insane and

It like here's the craziest thing again. Like I don't think I have to say it but

You can literally get this like simple email software

For 50.1 time 50 bucks like I like when I signed up for Aweber

it was like 20 bucks for like

Whatever how many amount of people and it just Rises the more people we have and things like that

Like how many emails you can send I mean with this it's like unlimited like I don't want to talk too much about it

But I want you to actually go in the sales funnel below and check it out for yourself

Like I want you to see it for yourself

This is just the backend of mailing boss and how it works and why it's so easy

but I want you to check it out for yourself and you probably ever mentioned builder all because

Some people ask hey is a mailing boss

Like part of builder all like don't have to get builder. Oh, and that's not the case anymore. You can actually just buy

manly boss for 50 dollars for the life

For life and that's why it's a game-changing and that's why so many people gonna be switching to it because of that

But if you are interested in like becoming an overpaid affiliate or just get into affiliate marketing with Botero

We actually have our own builder own team where we have we have tons of trainings mentoring coaching

You have you can use our free email swipe files to when you bring people on to really nurture them

You have our funnels you can use they're all cloned. You just put your filling send them all done for you

But I mean you get a free membership site when you join our affiliate team you get a private Facebook group

I can send a coaching mentoring training and not just an affiliate for a builder all but affiliate marketing in a home like

with everything else so

I'll be futurist in that

I'll post a link down below to and you can definitely check that out because if you are interested in affiliate marketing

Becoming over pedophilia or just start creating passive income for yourself

this is gonna be an awesome route to do it because when you when you're doing this with more people

Instead. Are you gonna add it yourself?

Once everybody gets a like-minded group and really helps propel each other. You're obviously gonna go farther. That's just a basic sense of it

So we want to help you get to that point get everybody to that point

So obviously if we help you it helps us and then everybody gets helped and everybody's a happy camper all that good stuff. So

yeah, and then the the what is it the video should be popping up here in a second for that bit wrong video if you've

Never seen it before

From one of my old videos, but other than that you guys have a great great great great rest of the summer

Hopefully you sign up for this. It's only 50 bucks. And I think there's a free trial too. So that's insane. But

Go ahead and do that if you want to draw freely a team

We're more than happy to help you only only only only only if you're serious about it

And you're coachable and all that good stuff. So I am out guys

I'm gonna end this video and you guys have a great rest of the frickin summer

The Surge Review - You Die, in Sci Fi - Duration: 6:27.

Welcome to another Aluvian Gaming game review.

Today I get all charged up in The Surge.

The Surge is a sci fi action rpg game made by Deck 13, known previously for Lords of

the Fallen and published by Focus Home Interactive.

It's a new entrant into the SoulsBourne genre, which means, it's a tough, combat

focused game in which you will die frequently and you're just expected to "get good".

As such, you can expect comparisons to others in the genre, but I feel it does a great job

of differentiating itself.

The Surge is set in a dystopian world not unlike our own, where due to humans' actions

the world is slowly dying.

In steps CREO, a mega-corporation with a solution to reverse it all!

The game starts you off on a train to your first day on the job at CREO.

Once you arrive, you're immediately taken off guard as Warren, the main character, is

in a wheelchair.

You quickly realize as you proceed to orientation that CREO, through the use of exoskeletons,

promises to allow you to walk again.

After a brutal scene involving the… installation of your exo, you awake to destruction.

Something happened, something bad, not just to you, or the buildings, but the people too.

The Surge does a great job of building a world and telling a story, while showing you more

than telling you.

Every location, audio log and survivor you come across may have a piece of the puzzle,

but no one ever has all the answers.

You're constantly trying to figure out what happened.

Graphically, The Surge is pretty impressive.

They take ruined concrete buildings and metal catwalks and make them look interesting.

One section of smashed concrete doesn't look like the other.

Yeah the areas look muted, but they're supposed to and amazingly, they're not boring.

The areas are all well designed, multileveled industrial superstructures that all feel like,

before all this happened, had purpose.

Nothing really feels just thrown together and random.

The detailed environments really immerse you in the Science Fiction horror-scape they've

created.

Adding further character, everywhere you look, you'll notice details further fleshing out

the world or telling a story all their own.

From messages smeared in blood on the wall, to a group of insane ex-CREO employees worshipping

a vending machine with the word GOD scrawled above a doorway, everywhere you look, there's

something more to see.

Add in the fluid animations and slick slowdown effect when dismembering foes, it's hard

to find fault with The Surge's presentation.

The gameplay is, well, fantastic.

This isn't a hack and slash or brawler, it's a slow and methodical dance that can

quickly send you back to the respawn from a single miss step.

The combat is deliberate.

You have to be decisive, reacting to the enemies and choosing the right time to strike.

Do you go for another hit in that combo, or is it best to back off.

But it never felt unfair, any time I died, it was through my own mistakes and miss plays.

Did I miss time that attack?

Did I get a bit greedy?

Yeah, probably.

People may be tempted to compare it to Dark Souls, and that's fair in many ways.

You return to Ops Centers that act like Dark Soul's bonfires, though, there's only

one per map area and you have to corpse run when you die to recover lost resource, even the

combat style and stamina management are similar.

But I feel Deck13 did a great job of taking a genre, and improving upon it.

In combat, successfully landing blows builds energy for your exo suit, which you can then

spend on different skills you implant at Ops.

You choose what implants to use and in the heat of battle, when to use them.

But the biggest addition, is the ability to target specific limbs.

When you target an enemy, you can choose to do extra damage by targeting their unarmored

sections, however you can alternatively target an armored section, and once you've lowered

their health enough, finally sever that part from them.

And that's how you acquire equipment in The Surge, by hacking it off your enemies.

Like the weapon a new enemy is carrying?

Lop his arm off and take it.

These added layers of strategy add a lot of complexity for battles, and brings a bit of

uniqueness to each encounter.

One thing SoulsBourne veterans may take issue with, though, is The Surge's lack of focus

on boss battles.

Which is fair, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have any.

There are some really neat encounters with interesting mechanics that center around focusing

certain parts during different phases.

In The Surge, they chose to put a lot of emphasis on the smaller enemies that lead to those

bosses, making each enemy a threat to be dealt with and not allowing the player to become

complacent.

Let Dark Souls be Dark Souls, and The Surge be itself.

One way it does that is through the "A Walk in the Park" DLC that I highly recommend

you own at the time of your first play through.

It has you travel to CREO World, a theme park on the corporate campus for employees and

their families.

It's a nice scenery change and is brilliantly integrated with the main story, taking place

midway through the game.

It does a great job of fleshing out more of what happened to CREO and the people there,

and even your own motivations and back story.

And besides all that, you get to ride a roller coaster.

Now, I'm not saying the game is perfect, there are some minor issues here and there.

Sometimes finisher animations can decouple causing Warren to cut the air in half and

look silly doing it.

Targeting certain body parts can occasionally be a pain as the controls are relative to

the enemies' positioning, so which direction is right or left, changes as you fight, or

while targeting the head, you want to move to the body, but it keeps going straight to

the legs.

It could use a few small tweaks here and there, but overall it works how it should.

There's some strange audio crackling that only occurs in the CREO World DLC Area.

It seems to be caused by some ambient sound that's not playing correctly.

It's jarring, irritating and I doubt it's intended.

I also doubt it's particularly good for my speakers.

Luckily it only happens here.

My biggest complaint though, is their bizarre choice to use a folksy country song as the

background music in Ops, and it's the only song they use, on loop, til the end of time.

You spend a decent chunk of the game in Ops, upgrading your gear, powering up your exo

suit, and choosing the perfect combination of implants to fit your play style and whether

you like it or not, you're going to learn the words to that damn song, and it'll continue

to play over and over in your head when you're not even playing.

But I guess when your biggest complaint in a game is the choice of a song, that says

a lot towards the overall quality of a game.

And ultimately, it's a brutal but fair game.

The game play is engaging and the story, compelling.

I rate The Surge a 9 out of 10 as it's easily one of the best games I've played all year.

And yeah, It's tough, it's challenging, but it's also very rewarding and you can

honestly feel yourself improving your play as you progress.

In a lot of games, your gear gets better, your character gets stronger, but here the

biggest improvement is you, the player.

The Surge is a game I feel more people NEED to play and I'm genuinely excited to hear

they're working on a sequel.

I honestly can't wait, but until then, there's always NewGame+.

missing the review window: save the date, crazy rich asians, etc. - Duration: 8:57.

Hey, everyone! I hope y'all are having a great day. So I've been thinking and this

is a thought that I've had many times before, but I was like, "I don't have

things to film about, so let me talk about this!" and is this topic worthy of a

video? No. But here we are! I want to talk about this unspoken review window, where

you have had to read the book between this certain time frame, and past that

time frame, it's just kind of impossible to review it. This is a big frustration

for me particularly, because I often will read a book and then I won't have the

time to film or--it's either that or maybe more likely--I'm too lazy to take

good notes right after finishing and so by the time that I finally have, like, my

camera ready to go, or I found a place to film, or it's quiet, whatever, I have

nothing to work off of anymore. Honestly, it really boils down to me being lazy,

which, you know, now that I'm thinking about it, is the root to a lot of my

problems.

But my reviewing process is like: I read a book, sometimes I'll take notes

while I'm reading, but sometimes I won't, and then after I finish the book, I'll

go back and take diligent notes of what I would like to mention in a review

/ my reactions to certain plot points or things like that. And if I do that--if I

take notes right after reading, which I usually do--then it's perfect no matter

how long it takes me to finally find a time to film. As long as I have those

notes to refer back to, I'm good. I'm golden. Or there are times when you're

reading while you're traveling and you don't really have the time to sit

down and go through the book again, because you're too busy, you know, seeing

sights and eating foods and whatever. Or alternatively, sometimes you read a book

and then you read a book directly after that, and then the second book kind of

muddles your opinions on the first book, and then you're left with this jumble of:

How did I feel exactly? I don't know. You kind of just have, like, a vague

impression of the books that you read. And that's the situation that I'm

finding myself in right now--a combination of the two. I read some books

consecutively, but I was also reading them while I was traveling, and now I'm

left with no notes to rely upon. And it's not like this is the first time it's

happened. It happens all the time. And I haven't posted a review on this channel

since Children of Blood and Bone, which by the way was a fantastic book. It's not

that I haven't read books since then. I have. What makes it a little worse is

that I got my nook stolen at the airport, either the Barcelona Airport or the

Prague Airport, somewhere, and a lot of times on my nook, I'll highlight things

that I want to talk about or I'll write notes in my nook, and so those are just

all lost. But for those who are curious, I'm gonna run through some books that I've

read since Children of Blood and Bone and give my overall impression of them,

because I can't give any more detail than that. So I think I'm gonna start this

new series of videos for whenever it's applicable called "Missing the Review

Window," for wanting to talk about books that I missed the review window for--

where I have, like, enough of an impression to say a couple of things

about it, but definitely not enough to do a review on it. And I guess that's kind

of what wrap ups are for too. But I feel like even wrap ups are too detailed for

the level of garbage that my memory is. So, Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. I

have wanted to read this book, especially because of the movie which I am very

to see. And honestly, I would have put it off longer except my best friend Agatha read

it so fast in like a couple of days, and she was like, "Sophia, read it, let's talk

about it," and those are the best kinds of friends, you know? The ones who read books

and are like, "Hey, read it, so we can talk about it." So I read it and it took

me a long time to get through, because I did not enjoy this book. I thought it was

so irritating, I thought it was poorly written, the characters felt so

one-dimensional. I remember the relationships felt so flat. Like, we're

supposed to root for the main couple, which is Rachel and I think his name is

Nick, but you're not really given any reason to root for them. I didn't feel

the chemistry between them. I didn't really care if Rachel was hated by

Nick's family. There was just no personal investment for me. The story is just so

frivolous and ridiculous and, like, sometimes that's fun, you know? Like,

sometimes it's fun to follow really really elite people.

I remember in in high school, for example, I loved Gossip Girl (the TV show). Even though I knew

those characters were so vapid and privileged, I still felt investment in it

and that's--I just did not feel that for Crazy Rich Asians. On the contrary, I know

people who did enjoy it--for example, Marines from mynameismarines. She

liked it and she always has fantastic judgment of books, but personally, I was

not that into it. Next, I read a couple of Kasie West's books. Kasie West, first,

writes like a demon. She just publishes books left and right, every season. I

don't know how she does it, but she does. It's that, combined with the fact that none of

the books are really spectacular, that makes them all kind of blur together in

my head. So I read two: I read Listen to Your Heart and Love, Life, and the List. It

took me a second to remember what Listen to Your Heart was even about, which is

odd 'cause that's the one I liked better of the two. I'll talk about Love, Life, and

the List first. Love, Life, and the List is about this girl who's in love with her

best friend and is an artist and the manager of the art museum she works at

says that her art doesn't really have any heart to it and so she makes a list

of things to do to give her more life experience so that she can draw on more

things when she's making her art. This book was just meh... eh, you know? It was like

eating low-fat pudding. Pudding is already not that great of a dessert and

then it's low-fat, which makes it worse. It's fine,

but it's just not really good. For me, it's really hard to enjoy a YA novel

if I don't understand why you're attracted to this

love interest or vice-versa, if I don't understand why the love interest is

attracted to the main character. It was the former in this case. Like, the main

character's best friend that she's in love with is just trash. He's not that

great. I was like, "Dude, you could do so much better. Like, why are you wasting

time on this kid?" It was cute. There are some good moments, like all of Kasie West's

books, but this one is definitely on the bottom of the list of her books that I've

read. Listen to Your Heart, I remember now after looking at the Goodreads page,

is about a radio show and the main character gives advice on this radio

show. And there's a person who calls in for love advice and she thinks she knows who

it is. It's very fun, this one is a really really fun book. I remember I really

enjoyed it. I remember I really enjoyed that the love interest is a person of

color; the love interest is Latino. The best friend is--I can't quite remember, I

want to say Polynesian, but that might be a complete lie and I'm really sorry. Like

I said, just vague impressions, whatever is left, I'm scraping the bottom of the

barrel here. Yeah, I remember I enjoyed Listen to Your Heart a lot

more than I enjoyed Love, Life, and the List. Finally, the last book I want to talk

about is Save the Date by Morgan Matson. This book came out in June. I love Morgan

Matson, you guys. I love Morgan Matson, so it was no question that when this book

came out, I was going to buy it immediately. And I did, on my nook because

it came out while I was in Spain and I wasn't about to buy the physical book in

Spain. Anyways, that's a tangent.

This book is

about a girl named Charlie whose older sister's getting married and so it's

kind of like a huge family reunion and she really misses when her family used

to be together all the time, because she's the youngest child. Everyone's an

adult or off in college. So everyone's coming together to prepare for this

wedding and literally everything that could go wrong goes wrong. Murphy's Law.

I remember I enjoyed this one, but not as much as I enjoyed Since You've Been Gone.

Since You've Been Gone, I think, has just been the pinnacle of Matson's books so

far. That one is just basically flawless to me.

The one that came out before Save the Date... why is my memory so bad? I can

picture the--Unexpected Everything! That's what it is. I was gonna say, I can picture

her walking the dogs. The Unexpected Everything I thought was fine and

similarly, Save the Date I thought was fine. It just made me really anxious

reading it, because everything was going wrong and I was so frustrated. And kind

of like in Love, Life, and the List, the character that Charlie likes for so long

of the book is just not worth the time at all. There are so many better

characters to spend your time wanting, Charlie. Like, this kid is not worth it,

but alas. The family dynamic, as usual, is perfectly written. Morgan Matson is so

talented. She excels at writing great family dynamics.

Save the Date was a good book, it just wasn't my favorite Matson book. I kind of

feel bad comparing each of her new releases to Since You've Been Gone, but I

really can't help it. Since You've Been Gone was so good to me. So those are

four books that I read that you won't get full reviews of because my memory is

just not up to the task. Thanks for tuning in to this first

episode of mfmp--Missing the Review Window. That's not catchy at all. I'm still gonna

roll with it. The first episode of Missing the Review Window. Here's the

window. That was me... and this is me signing off--what am I doing. Uhhhokay

let's... yeah. Thanks so much for watching. I hope y'all have a fantastic day and happy

reading! Bye!

Tim Holtz Tonic Media Tool Set Review & How-To - Duration: 10:59.

hi welcome to hedgehog Hollow I hope you're having a great day

my name is Alexandra and today I wanted to talk to you even about the Tim Holtz

media map tool set so I've had a couple of questions by email and so I wanted to

address those if you ever have any questions or comments or anything like

that do drop them in at support at the Hedgehog hollow comm or leave them in a

youtube comment below or on our Facebook page we do check those all the time and

we try to create videos to respond to anything that you may need help with or

any questions you might have about a particular tool so let's have a look at

the glass mat if you haven't seen it before in that top right hand corner I

am going maybe it's that site I am going to link up the in depth video we did a

couple of months ago when this was first launched and I showed you some really

fun alcoholic techniques that you can do on this surface that you would struggle

to do on just your regular craft surface and I also showed you all the different

mediums you can use on this and how versatile it is as well and the mat also

comes with an easy clean mat which is a non-stick mat that goes on here that is

heat proof and things as well so you have even more options as well or you

can just use this grid 25 squares here that is designed for ink cubes but you

absolutely you can just put regular ink pads down as well so just tries to make

it easier I also use my map all the time whether I have my laptop down whether I

have something not paper crafting related whether I'm sewing or something

I still use this mat it's really nice and sturdy I can pop things down on it

I've used glue guns on it they work absolutely fine they didn't do any

damage at all you can cut on this mat you really can do anything and you can

clean it off particularly with this new scraper tool as well so we'll be talking

about that in a second and you also I if I put lots of links down here I might

take a chalk marker I might take a sharpie or a dry erase marker

and I just write bits and pieces on here or when I'm working I might write notes

of things they want to include in an email or things I need to do that day as

well I also want you to address the whole left-handed

now I am a very left-handed lefty I do lots of things left-handed and there are

little feet on the bottom of this mount but I don't have any issues with it

having that palette on the right hand side at all but if you did want it on

your left you should just turn it the other way up and you can see there it

works absolutely fine so I'm just going to turn this back around and make sure

that you can see all of that so let's talk about the tools you have a scraper

tool that has this silicone grip so no matter how stubborn that stain is you

can really get in there and it's not going to fly out your hand it's also

good for some mixing and things which I'll show you later on plus you have

this ruler that locks on any side of the mat so you can lock it on the top on the

left or the right side and my preference is to lock it on the bottom but what

you'll notice is that ruler has two different sides it has a beveled side

which is perfect when you're drawing and things like that and then it has this

thicker side which is straight which is perfect for when we're cutting so let's

have a look at some of the things we can do one thing I want you to point out is

when you pop your ruler down it will not line up completely with your grid on

here without the ruler this grid is perfectly square it's square and

straight to itself and just that's part of the manufacturing process this will

be a straight to the edge of the glass mat so how do you work with that when

you're working with your paper so I'm gonna work with this on the bottom so I

have the bevel on my left side and I'm gonna grab a piece of my Neenah card

stock so I'm going to hold that ruler in place and now I'm going to line up the

edge of my cardstock with the edge of my ruler and then going to take a little

bit of masking tape and I'm gonna stick that down so that my papers not really

going to move on me then I can Jori canister of course you can stamp on

here as well you can use your Nouveau markers for some really fun background

so you can do pinstripes so I can draw against this if I wanted to change color

the one thing I would not suggest to do is drag it if you drag it you risk

pulling that color that way I'm just gonna pick that up use an alcohol prep

pad or this is one of my best discoveries ever and I will link it in

the video description below for you it's an isopropyl alcohol spray that I

bought on Amazon and so it's perfect for cleaning up everything so I can just

clean down the edge of my ruler I can move this across however far I want to

go and then I can do my next pin stripe and I can do my next pin stripe so you

can see that you can get lovely lovely straight lines and as I mentioned you

can also cut against this so this time I'm going to put my ruler at the top

here and that means that I have the straighter the non beveled side closest

to my left you would have it the opposite if you're right-handed so if

you're right-handed you're going to want it a bottom when you're cutting so that

that this straighter edge is on your right

and then we're just going to take our knife this is the nouveau craft knife

you could use your Tim Holtz craft knife or which ever one you like working with

and I kind of cut until I feel like I've gone through one of that paper and you

can see there I get a nice clean straight cut and again that's my other

piece there as well so the another option you have with cutting is a rotary

cutter so I have a few things I want to say first is I know you're not supposed

to cut with rotary cutters on glass or any knife for that matter it does dull

the blade quicker but I'm a convenient crafter I'm a lazy crafter so I like to

be able to cut on everything on one and you're not going to do any damage

I've cut on this huge amounts already practicing and trying out things for

videos and classes and all sorts of things and there is not one mark on this

map from me using knives or rotary cutter

on it the second thing is if you do so you're going to want a separate rotary

cutter for your paper and for your fabric because paper again

dulls that blade so and also when I'm cutting with a rotary cutter I stand up

because I just get a better cut so I'm gonna hold this down I'm gonna put my

rotary cutter through good pressure again I like to cut a couple of times

and then I can just slide that up and again I have a lovely cut on there as

well so that's some of the things that you can do with the ruler and how to get

a really straight cut - same applies if you want to do it in this direction and

have a pretty piece of red Nouveau card stock and again line that up on the edge

of your map so it's not going to move anywhere and then you want to line it up

with the edge of your ruler now I would not suggest sitting on an angle like

this and lining it up you're gonna get a much better lining up and excuse my head

if you actually look all the way over you're going to just see any differences

in there again you could just take a little bit of masking tape put that down

there and then you could start drawing or whatever you wanted to do on your

piece of cardstock let's have another look at that scraper so as I mentioned

it is great for cleaning so you have a surface you want to clean off if you're

a mixed-media artist you can fit really big pieces onto this mat if you are a

collage artist or mixed-media or a scrapbooker you can also fit your 12 by

12 on here as well which is perfect so you really can throw anything at this

mat and clear up is so easy if you get paste or anything like that just put

that across it's got a nice sharp edge here it's not going to cut you but it's

nice enough that you can just scrape things off and I find it much nicer than

using a razor blade because obviously I have two children running around my

house and I don't like having razor blades out you've got that silicone edge

that I mentioned so it's not gonna slip out of your hand but you could also use

it as an extra tool so I have some texture paste I want to color it

some abandoned coral just dresse oxide I can pop my pad down on my surface in my

palette area you could also do this same technique on that easy clean mat that's

on top of here I have to say I don't use that mat for that but the mat is also

great if you want to create different surfaces or you want to create Nouveau

drops it's nonstick you can also use your heat gun on it too you can also use

your heat gun on this mat and you can see there how I've managed to mix it

together I can then take my cardstock I can make a really big mess everywhere

and I can put that over something else I really like to do with this edge as well

is when I'm working with stencils I'm using a texture paste I'm using an

acrylic paint I just take this scraper 45 degrees and I run it down my edge my

stencil and it takes off any excess the first all you're gonna get a nice clean

edge on your stencil secondly it stretches your supplies a little bit

further so you can take any of that excess put it back in to your jar and

off you go as well so lots of fun tips and tricks there for you using the Tim

Holtz media mapped all set I hope you've enjoyed today's video if you've got any

Review Coolors | Crea paletas de color fácil y rápido - Duration: 4:36.

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel

Today I want to share with you this cute tool

named

Coolors

and it's basically to make colour palettes.

I liked it because it's really simple.

Here you'll find a small tutorial

of how to use it.

You can adjust some

basic settings. That I haven't tried.

But this is the tool I liked the most

because with this tool you can pick a picture

and choose the colour palette.

You can even choose an image

in any other page, and I'll choose...

this art of Berie

who is one of my characters...

I'm gonna open it...

to get the direct link

of the .jpg to Coolors.

and from there...

Coolors will generate

a preview image

of the suggested colour palette.

Down there, is an option for

you colour picking.

And from there you can

generate it randomly or choosing one by one

the colours you want.

You only have to select the next colour

and move your mouse to the choosen colour

and so

until you get

the colour palette

you like.

I'm gonna leave this one... like this.

If I liked it, I can click the OK button

Or I can generate a collage.

What this option does is

generate a .png file

that I can check on my downloads.

And it's the same picture

with all the colours and the hexadecimals

so I can use them wherever I want.

So, this is very useful

specially if you have to work

with web design, but I'll press the OK button.

And now my palette is here

in the main section.

I can move the swatches

and organise them.

I can also edit Saturation...

Hue...

Brightness...

and get my colours personalised.

I can also choose if I want it on RGB,

CMYK, etc.

I can also pick the shade,

If I want a lighter

or darker colour. More white or black tint.

In this case

I will leave it a bit darker.

And it's done!

I'm comfortable with it, so

the last option is to save my palette.

I'm gonna choose to save it,

name the... palette... and click Save.

And now it's saved on my palettes.

That's all for today. I hope it's useful.

I think it's a simple and beautiful tool

easy to use

I literally created my account

and started to use it in about 10 minutes

so for those of you who want to draw

or do some character design

and have no clue on how to choose a good colour palette

which is something I still struggle with

this is a very nice tool. I really recommend it.

Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon.

Bye bye!
