Donald Trump Stuns DC – Secret Meeting at White House Goes Public - Duration: 10:51.Donald Trump Stuns DC – Secret Meeting at White House Goes Public
President Donald Trump has surprised people all over the country with who he is meeting
at his White House today.
Daily Mail reported that Trump is meeting with reality television star Kim Kardashian
to talk about prison reform and pardoning a first-time drug offender.
She will first meet with the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, before she gets
her audience with the president.
Kardashian will be asking Trump to pardon Alice Johnson – a 62-year-old woman who
is serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense.
Kardashian has been campaigning for Johnson's release in a series of talks with the White
House over the course of the last few months.
She initially reached out to Ivanka Trump and established a connection with Kushner
through her.
Kardashian will not be joined by her husband, Kanye West, who is a Trump supporter.
During the meeting, she would like to "explain to [Trump] that, just like everybody else,
we can make choices in our lives that we're not proud of and that we don't think through
all the way."
Kushner has long pushed for prison reform, which is a deeply personal issue to him given
his father Charles' own year-long incarceration in 2005 – for tax evasion, illegal campaign
contributions, and witness tampering.
He has been an outspoken proponent of the First Step Act, which was created to offer
job training and drug-treatment programs as an incentive for inmates.
This act would also allow nonviolent offenders to have their last bits of sentences served
in halfway homes or house confinement.
"If we can start showing that we can make the prisons more purposeful and more effective
at lowering the recidivism rate over time, that may help the people who are trying to
make the argument for sentencing reform," Kushner is believed to have said in a White
House meeting earlier this month.

Public Safety: Public Trust. - Duration: 1:16.I think the biggest issue right now for Alaska is crime.
It's scary when you can't even go to Anchorage and be comfortable walking around the malls.
I don't feel safe when I walk in a park in Anchorage.
People are so brazen, they don't care -- there's no consequences for them right now.
It breaks my heart to see what's happened.
Crime has been just skyrocketing and it's really gotten scary.
The sitting governor right now is kind of looking at crime and statistics with rosy
colored glasses on, and I don't think he has Alaskans best interest.
I feel, for the first time, like the city has let me down.
I don't feel protected, I don't feel safe.
If we don't get somebody in office that's willing to make the changes and make the hard
decisions that need to get made, my grandkids aren't going to have a future here.
They're going to have to leave.
The man I trust to deal with crime is Mike Dunleavy.
Mike Dunleavy takes our crime problem seriously.
He's shown that he voted against S.B. 91 on final passage.
He is invested in the communities and he cares for Alaskans.
I trust Mike Dunleavy with my self and my kid's future.

MICHELLE OBAMA PANICKED – DAMNING PHOTOS GO PUBLIC - Duration: 11:28.MICHELLE OBAMA PANICKED – DAMNING PHOTOS GO PUBLIC
Former First Lady Michelle Obama reemerged once again this week to desperately try and
get herself back in the spotlight when she released some never-before-seen photos of
herself.
Unfortunately for Michelle, however, this move immediately backfired when viewers were
left disgusted by the images.
Mad World News reported that Michelle just released the cover of her upcoming memoir
along with photos of herself that had never been seen by the public.
The cover of the book is a huge photo of Michelle grinning from ear to ear with the title of
the book printed over her head.
As she shared the photo, Michelle wrote that "the process of writing this book has been
so personally meaningful and illuminating for me."
Leading up to the reveal of the cover, Michelle shared four photos of herself that she says
show her journey through life.
"As I prepare to share BECOMING this fall, I hope you'll also think about your own
story, and trust that it will help you become whoever you aspire to be.
Your story is what you have, what you will always have.
It is something to own," she wrote.
As you can see, Michelle is just as obsessed with herself as ever!
One of the images shows Michelle with her parents in their "cramped apartment" in
Chicago.
"My father, Fraser, taught me to work hard, laugh often, and keep my word.
My mother, Marian, showed me how to think for myself and to use my voice.
Together, in our cramped apartment on the South Side of Chicago, my family helped me
see the value in our story, in my story, and in the larger story of our country," she
captioned it.

Public Programs at Brooklyn Historical Society: Bringing History to Life! - Duration: 0:59.The Brooklyn Historical Society hosts so many wonderful events.
You know, the things that bring a community together
over a common interest.
The programming, you know, is so diverse.
You can come here to be entertained,
but also be educated at the same time.
To have these people who are nationally known,
you know, to come to Brooklyn, is really wonderful.
It's so accessible here!
It's a great resource for New Yorkers.
We need a place where we can walk in and argue,
and not be argumentative.
You know, disagree without being disagreeable.
It's a great place for people to gather and learn.
I think just having programs and keeping the community involved,
you get the true source of what the community's about.
And anything that you're interested in,
they probably have the talk about it at some point,
you just have to pay attention to the Events calendar.

Barack Obama's $48 Million Secret Goes PUBLIC – This Is the End - Duration: 11:57.Barack Obama's $48 Million Secret Goes PUBLIC – This Is the End
Barack Obama is undoubtedly in full panic mode right now as his nasty $48 million secret
has leaked to the public.
The Washington Free Beacon reported that two sources have just come forward to say that
in the final days of Obama's administration, a $48 million State Department grant to a
for-profit company for IED and other bomb removal services in Syria was rushed for approval.
Just a few weeks into Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's tenure, this grant is receiving
new internal State Department scrutiny as U.S. government officials try to flag key
areas of concern that the new secretary can address.
This kind of bombing and ordnance removal is known for being extremely dangerous, but
also a very necessary for the safety of returning communities displaced by the Islamic State
in Iraq and Syria.
The sources said that the grant was given to Tetra Tech, an engineering services company
that specializes in construction management and has much more limited experience in munitions
and ordnance clearance than Janus and other foreign NGOs such as HALO Trust and for-profit
companies such as Optima.
The sources explained that officials in the U.S. State Department's PMWRA office worked
to expedite a start date for Tetra Tech's IED removal grant before Jan. 19, 2017, the
day before President Trump was inaugurated.
"There was a mad dash in the PMWRA and NEA bureaus to get this done by Jan. 19," said
one source familiar with the internal State Department effort.
"They got the grant funded by Dec. 29, 2016, and then got the internal paperwork finished
by Jan.19, working in theater with the NEA regional bureau to lock this in."
Patrick Kernan, a government contracting attorney who previously served as the chief of contract
fiscal law for the Multinational Force in Iraq as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate General,
said that a State Department agency providing a grant to a large, for-profit company is
unusual and raises legal red flags.
He explains that whether any laws were broken depends on internal paperwork and whether
the officials involved precisely followed all the agency's grant rules.
"[It] sounds like a way to circumvent the strict sole-source contracting rules by pushing
money into a grant process," which provides far less oversight than the regular contracts,
he said in an email.
"It sounds like a pretty broad problem that needs some legislation to fix."

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to VANISH from public for four weeks - Duration: 3:03.Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to VANISH from public for four weeks
The world's fascination with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has reached epic proportions since their iconic wedding in May.
But now the newlyweds are planning a well-deserved break during August when the royals traditionally take their holidays.
Their most recent appearance at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Windsor on Thursday when they exchanged a loving kiss is likely to be the last we see of them for four weeks.
The pair were last pictured locking lips in Windsor on Saturday May 19.
Technically there are no rules stopping the royals from showing affection.
At the posh polo event, Harry's Sentebale St Regis team won 5-4 as the afternoon raised money for his charity for vulnerable children in the African country of Lesotho.
Harry, 33, scored twice for his team in the first half.
As the teams departed, Meghan, 36, affectionately rubbed her husband's back and the couple joined hands and walked away.
The scene was reminiscent to the marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
Harry's close friend and fellow player Nacho Figueras said afterwards: "The Duchess is lovely and wonderful.
"I'm very happy for Harry.
"They are both lucky to have found each each other and I am very excited about this new chapter in his life.
It is rumoured that Meghan, who is originally from Los Angeles, is now planning a trip back to the States.
She will also celebrate her 37th birthday next Saturday.
Meghan and Harry will not be the only members of the Royal Family on vacation over the next few weeks.
Prince William and Kate are reportedly currently holidaying with Mystique with Kate's family, including her sister Pippa and her husband James Matthews.
Little Prince George is said to be celebrating his fifth birthday on the Caribbean island.
