- Are you sitting around calculating or trying to calculate
the number of hours you need
to spend studying to become a programmer?
If so, then this video is made just for you, stay tuned.
(energetic electronic music)
Hi, I'm Tim Buchalka and thanks
for checking out this video.
So, a common question that I get from my students
goes something along the lines of this,
they'll say something like, Tim, how many hours
do I need to put in to study this material
so that I can get my first programming job?
Well I'm here to say that unfortunately,
you're looking at things around the wrong way.
Really, the focus shouldn't be
on how many hours it's going to take.
You should just be focusing on actually doing the work
and completing the course.
If you try and figure out or say to yourself,
well I need to spend 50 hours to become a programmer,
you're gonna be focusing on trying to compact everything
down into that 50 hours no matter what.
So, you might not put in the time that you need
to put into complete a coding exercise.
You might not watch a video two or three times
to truly understand it.
And that's because you're continually looking
at your watch all the time to make sure
that you're finishing at a certain time.
The reality is that people learn at different speeds.
Some people absorb content and learn things
at a faster rate than other people.
Some people have got more hours to spend each day
learning material.
That's just the way it is.
So, my suggestion to you is don't try and figure out
down to the hour, how many hours you need.
Rather say to yourself, when I take this course,
or when I start this study,
I wanna be doing it to become a programmer,
I'm gonna complete it no matter what.
And I'm gonna make sure that as I go through the process
I'm gonna completely understand those concepts
taught in a particular video or an ebook or whatever it is
before I move on to the next stage.
If you do that, and get right through to the end
of the material, you will be or will have
the skills basically to be a really productive programmer
because you've understood the concepts.
If you're rushing through trying to beat a deadline
invariably you're going to miss things,
you're gonna miss important things
and that may well really sabotage your future learning.
So, take your time, make sure you go through all
the study material and really absorb it and learn it.
And just think of the analogy
of learning to drive car, or learning to ride a bike.
When you start learning to ride a bike for the time,
you don't immediately say to yourself,
how many hour or minutes is this gonna take
before I can learn to ride a bike?
What you do is you get on the bike
and you start riding.
And you get better and better at it,
and over time you become very competent
and a very good bike rider.
And same with driving the car, like driving a car.
The first time you actually do it,
you're probably fairly slow, and things are hard
you can't remember where the clutch is,
you're trying to change gears and so forth.
And it's hard to absorb everything,
and you know, the stalling the car et cetera.
So, take a step back with your programming
and just say to yourself okay,
I'm just going to take as long
as I need to really understand this material.
And by doing that, ultimately,
then putting that amount in your study,
you're gonna become a more productive programmer
and get that programming job.
Alright, so, that's my video for today.
I hope you got a little out of it,
and I'll see you in the next video.
Alrighty, so, I hope that helped.

WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE / How much have I lost? / Weight Loss Journey 2019 - Duration: 7:06.
Hey y'all! Welcome back to my channel.
Today I have, finally, a long awaited weight-loss update for you guys.
I know it has been quite a while since I showed you guys my starting point video,
that will be linked up above as well as down below if you want to check it out.
But today I'm gonna update you on the progress over the last month
and the struggles and just kind of let you guys know where I'm at.
Real quick, if you're new here my name is Shawna, I make mommy, lifestyle,
and weight loss journey videos here on my channel and I have a almost one year
old little boy who is in a lot of the videos.
If that sounds like something that interests you,
make sure you hit that red subscribe button down below
because we would love to have you join the family.
And if you like this video make sure you give it a thumbs up
and leave me a comment down below because it helps my channel out.
So anyways you guys, let's just dive in and get started
on how I've been doing this last month.
So first off, I am just going to tell you my weight.
I'm around 227 right now.
It's been fluctuating between like 226 and 228,
so we're gonna go with 227.
So that means I've lost about three and a half maybe four pounds total in the last month.
Not a lot. Honestly you guys I haven't been doing great.
For those of you who've been watching my videos,
you know that this last month or so my whole family has been a really sick.
We had colds, mine turn into an upper respiratory infection.
I was sick for a few weeks with that,
and then basically right as soon as I got over that,
we all came down with the stomach bug.
And so it's just been a rough few weeks.
So eating wise I haven't really been doing much.
I've pretty much been sticking to my same old same old diet,
which isn't great.
But there are a few little things that I have been doing to try to lose some weight,
or just to try to be healthier in general.
First is I've started the process of giving up sodas and caffeine in general.
I was drinking two sodas a day.
So when I say a soda, I mean like a 12 ounce can and I drink Dr Pepper.
So I cut that down to one and then after a week or two of that,
I cut it down to 1/2 of a can a day and now I have given up soda.
It's been three days so far, my head is not happy about it.
I do have a caffeine addiction,
so I get pretty bad headaches when I give it up but that's okay.
I know they will go away eventually.
So I gave up sodas.
I also been just in general trying to drink more water.
My goal everyday is somewhere between 90 to 100 ounces of water.
I've been doing pretty good with that I have a 32 ounce cup,
one of those ones it's like supposed to keep water cold for you.
It's like a Yeti but like the knockoff brand.
I try to drink three to four of those a day
and I've been doing pretty good with that.
Just not drinking as much soda has been helping me with that in general.
Then another big step for me,
what I've been doing is trying to take the stairs more.
In my office, at my office, I work on the second floor,
which doesn't sound like a lot I know it's only the second floor
but I have a bad habit of taking an elevator up all the time.
We have really tall ceilings at my office building.
They're like 20 foot ceilings or something.
So the stairs are actually the level of two flights of stairs for a normal flight of stairs.
So they're really really tall
and stairs in general just give me anxiety, I don't know why
but I'm always scared to death I'm gonna fall down them.
like literally will have panic attacks sometimes.
It's a weird weird anxiety but they give me anxiety for some reason.
So taking the stairs is something that I just struggle with in general
so I've been trying to do that more and more.
I still don't do it if I have my hands full
because I want to be able to hold on to the rail
but if I don't have my hands full and have a hand free where I can hold the rail,
I've been trying to take the stairs up and down at work every day.
Which I think has actually been helping a lot.
I know the first two or three days I did it,
I was so out of breath by the time I got to the top of the stairs,
But little by little it's gotten a lot better
and I can do it pretty easily now without getting out of breath.
So, that's a good sign.
But yeah overall the weight loss hasn't been much,
as I mentioned it's been three and a half to four pounds give or take.
My weight fluctuates constantly so who knows exactly how much it's been.
I'm okay with it. I mean it's something at least I didn't gain weight.
I know this last month hasn't been a great month for me
so at least I didn't gain weight and I'm happy about that.
Now this month I am starting a few new things,
Already this week I have started working out,
I'm working out at least three days a week.
I work out at home with some videos.
I use a YouTuber, I think BodyFit by Amy is her name.
I love her she has a lot of postpartum workouts which I love.
I will leave her link down below you can check her out, out I really like her.
I've been doing that just starting this week.
Then I am also, we're trying to eat healthier.
We gave up eating out.
We are trying to go for a whole month without eating out at all.
Which I feel like just automatically makes me eat a little healthier
because food that I'm cooking at home is automatically healthier than what I would eat out
most of the time.
You know, it's healthier than fast food.
So I feel like that is helping,
but I am hoping this month will be a little bit better than last
and maybe I can strive to lose at least like five pounds, six pounds maybe.
We'll see. but at least it's going in the right direction, right? That's all that matters.
I totally forgot, so I did go to the doctor, as I mentioned in my starting point
video I was gonna go to the doctor and just get like all my blood work checked out.
I did go and everything came back normal.
Which was actually a little heartbreaking.
I definitely cried. I feel like something's wrong and I was
hoping that going to the doctor and getting all my bloodwork down and stuff
I would have an answer and it was a little heartbreaking that I don't have an answer.
There's still some more tests we can run to try to figure out
what's going on. I really feel like it's my hormones that are out of whack and
just from a bunch of different symptoms I'm suffering from but I don't know they
tested my thyroid and that was fine so I don't know what else I don't know what I
don't know what I'm gonna do or when I'm gonna do it but hoping to go back and
get some more tests done here shortly yes all my tests did come back normal
for now anyways you guys leave me some comments down below if you were on a
weight-loss journey as well let me know down below how
or month has gone I will be updating as more regularly regularly from here on
out probably at least every other way if you liked this video make sure you give
it a big thumbs up if you're new here hit that subscribe button because we'd

Exactly How Much Do YouTubers Make In January? - Duration: 11:24.
Hi, I'm Ryan and I'm a YouTuber.
Now, most of the time when I first meet someone and they ask me what I do for a living that's
the short version of my response.
95% of the time the follow up question to that is "How do you make money?"
And the short version is, advertisers.
But it's not a normal payment salary schedule.
You've heard it from the royalty of YouTube all the way down to the bottom feeders.
January income on YouTube is the same thing as being constipated on the toilet, a few
pebbles might come out, but it really wasn't the big load you were hoping for.
And you might be thinking "Wow Ryan, you're really complaining because your cushy comfy
crusty job gets a tinnie bit more difficult?"
Sorry, I really made you sound like a dickbag there, my bad.
But it's a good question.
YouTuber's are always complaining about the beginning of the year and how we are barely
scraping by, but we rarely provide you with any evidence to really back that up.
So I had a thought: what if I showed you exactly how much we made, but not just that, what
if I showed you how much the channel made per video, per view even, where it all comes
from and why we struggle to make it through the first couple months of every year.
The money side of YouTube is a complete mystery too for many people because there just isn't
that much information out there.
Let's face it, like the rest of YouTube, the corporate entity that secretly lords power
above us all isn't exactly open about the finances behind YouTube.
If you're not in the YouTube sphere how would you have any idea the range of income
a YouTuber can make?
Allow me to be your guide into the back end of YouTube, to show you just how crazy rich
we are.
Or not.
So without further ado, here's exactly how much Treesicle made over the month of January.
Behold!
The line of money!
This line signifies every penny that was unceremoniously placed into the Treesicle coffers from you
wonderful viewers who are nice enough to watch advertisements on our videos.
And that line equals a total of...Yo, can you unblur that a little bit okay there we
go.
Just over $4,000.
Now I would show you the exact number but I don't want our Google overlords to bring
the hammer down on us...since we're in the grey area disclosing this information.
See, YouTube doesn't actually allow us to tell you the exact amount we make.
In fact we're not allowed to say a variety of things we want to.
We can't disclose our estimated monetized playbacks and other stats that I was going
to go into in this video.
So here's the solution that hopefully won't get us screwed over.
We show you the first number so you have an idea, but not the whole number so our channel
gets indefinitely demonetized.
Sounds good?
But while we're on the subject it really sucks that we aren't actually allowed to
share this information...but, I get it.
From a business standpoint, there's good reasoning behind it.
Because a big thing to note is Adsense is not limited to ads on YouTube videos, but
ads everywhere on the internet.
And, while Google has a monopoly via Adsense on YouTube ads, they just hold one section
of the market via internet advertisements.
In a day and age where apps collect your personal information and are able to sell it to the
highest bidder, information is power, and I'm sure Google doesn't want their information
getting to the public if there's no real reason for it.
Still, it's no wonder people have such a skewed sense of the income of YouTubers when
we LEGALLY can't tell you what we make.
But as usual, YouTube wants to keep everyone in the dark about the behind the scenes analytics.
Now I could end the video right here.
I gave you the amount as close as I could, right?
But there's no context around it, nothing to tell you whether that's a good number
or a bad number.
It's like a dick pic without a watch or ring next to it.
You need something to compare it to before deciding if you want to jump on it.
So let's take a look at the month before it.
In December, we made about double that, hitting in the $8,000 range.
So as you can see, the jump from December to January is pretty harsh.
But I haven't even put it completely in perspective yet.
Our views in December were actually less than our views in January, so not only are we seeing
a 50% drop, but we're seeing that despite the channel getting more views overall.
So what does this all mean?
Well many of you might see a figure like $4,000 something dollars and look at me like I'm
an idiot to even mention that it dropped from $8,000.
It's still a hefty chunk of change right?
Even if that's all the channel made every month the channel is still making somewhere
in the $50,000 a year range.
A decent salary, better than a starting teacher's income.
But you have to remember one thing.
It's not just me on this channel.
That 4,000ish dollars is being split between four incredibly sexy people.
And when you take into account rent, car payments, cell phone bills, utilities, groceries and
everything else that goes into a month's worth of bills, well, to put it lightly I
can pay my rent and buy a sandwich and January's income would be gone.
And honestly, that's not an exaggeration.
Now obviously this isn't something I'm complaining about.
I love being a YouTuber and wouldn't trade it for the world, but it brings up some interesting
questions doesn't it?
If the channel was getting more views on January than December, why is the income so much less?
The answer lies in a stat called Monetized Playbacks.
If you've ever done some back end exploring on a monetized channel, you've likely checked
out the Revenue Reports.
YouTube is able to break down your revenue by video, date, country, as well separate
revenue streams by the type of ad that's played.
For example, you can see that the vast majority of ads played on our channel are skippable
video ads, those ads that have the 5 second skip button and are currently dominated by
Tik Tok.
But let's check out Estimated Monetized Playbacks.
This is where you can see exactly how many ads played on the channel per day and compare
it to views.
Comparing December versus January once again gives us a ton of information.
Regardless of the channel getting 400,000 more views in January, there were around 200,000
less ads played compared to December.
Again, we can't show you the exact amount, so you'll have to take my word for it.
But further down the column we can take a look at the CPM of each month individually.
In case you don't know what CPM means, it's the average income a channel makes per 1,000
views.
So in December, every 1,000 views made 5 something dollars, whereas in January, it was only in
the 3 dollar range.
Oh and you might be wondering why the column for "YouTube Ad Revenue" has higher numbers
than our total income for either month.
That column shows the total income made before YouTube takes their cut.
I feel like a lot of people forget that YouTube takes a significant portion of the revenue
YouTuber's generate.
We're contractually not allowed to say the exact amount.
But many other people, not us, have said it's 45%.
We didn't say that though, they did.
The other question that comes to mind is how a difference in 200,000 ads played, or about
15% fewer ads, equals a 50% drop in income.
When we're talking about over a million ads played each month, you'd expect a proportional
drop in ads played in relation to the income drop right?
The reason this doesn't correspond is actually quite simple: January is a bad season for
advertising.
In fact the first few months of the year are always bad for advertising.
Whereas we see a significant boost once Summer comes around an an even bigger boost once
we get into the last few months of the year.
As the year progresses those ad slots at the beginning of videos become more and more valuable.
People are more likely to spend money during the summer and the most likely to spend money
during the holidays.
Tis the season so to speak.
Whereas January is right after all the major holidays.
People are wiped from gift giving, from traveling, from vacationing.
Meaning they are less likely to spend money on what an advertisement shows them because
they already spent it somewhere else the month before.
Advertisers know this, so they're aren't willing to pay as much for their ads to run.
This is why we get discrepancies between CPM's month to month.
Advertisers are willing to pay more based on the time of year.
However, the drop at the beginning of the year is worse than the increase at the end.
I don't think we've ever doubled a regular month in december.
It'll get a bit better, but it won't exactly offset the halfling that happens in January.
I think a lot of this helps dispel the myth that YouTubers are these crazy rich people
who just got lucky enough to land an audience on YouTube.
On the contrary, I could easily make more money doing a variety of different things.
Before becoming a full-time YouTuber, I coded.
I got a degree in Computer Science.
And I was making more than double what I am making now as a YouTuber.
This idea that YouTube pays well only supports the upper echelon of YouTubers.
If you're getting 10 million views or more a month, you're making a good salary, but
no one would consider you to be crazy wealthy.
At least, not based off of our CPM.
A channel's CPM differs for a variety of reasons, a channel like ours won't get the
same income per 1000 views as say, a makeup channel.
It's different audiences, different companies that want to advertise.
And also the degree to which a channel is "family friendly" - which YouTube doesn't
seem to think we are.
It's why websites like social blade have such a massive range for monthly earnings.
But wait, we're not even done yet!
Guess who also takes a cut from every month of YouTube ad revenue?
That group of wonderful MCN friends.
Who, we kinda went into in a previous video.
So YouTube takes their cut, then the MCN takes their cut, and then we finally get paid.
And just a fun note, we also don't know what day we're going to get paid.
Since it goes through the MCN first it completely depends on them, sometimes we get it early,
or sometimes it's the day rent is due.
It's not nerve racking at all!
So there you have it, not only the kinda sorta exact amount made in the month of January
for the Treesicle channel, but all the backend stuff to explain how and why we made what
we did.
The monetization of YouTube has been a mystery to a large group of people for a long time,
but there's nothing to hide about it, and hopefully this has given you a better perspective
on what we and other creators go through during this time of year.
Especially for channels who have a team operating behind the scenes, like us, it makes revenue
sources outside of YouTube that much more important.
It's why we get sponsors, why we sell merchandise, why we have a patreon, and do Twitch streams.
Though the Twitch streams are more just for fun (every weekday at 3PM PST).
But all these "extra" things are what keep us afloat.
Speaking of ships, I'm going to go buy a yacht with all my YouTube money now.
Cuz that's totally a thing I can do now that you've seen our ad sense!
But before I go, let me know if you like deeper dives into more informative videos, like this
one.
I really enjoying making content on these real life issues and questions.
So let me know in the comments.
Oh!
We also have a super special surprise this coming Saturday, the 23rd!
So follow Twitter, come to the channel, set your phones, check your watches, do people
still even wear watches?
Whatever.
Thanks fos for watching everybody!
My name's Ryan, and we'll see you then!

Heres how much N.J. taxpayers have paid so far for an investigation into the hire of a Murphy staff
By S.P. Sullivan | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com and Brent Johnson | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com
New Jersey taxpayers have paid dollar 22,500 so far for an investigation launched by Gov. to examine how his administration responded to allegations that a former top staffer raped a campaign supporter, records show.
Peter Verniero, the former state Supreme Court justice who was tapped by Murphy to lead the inquiry, submitted a preliminary invoice on Jan. 16, according to a billing document obtained by NJ Advance Media through the state Open Public Records Act.
The is just the first invoice for the investigation, a source familiar with the issue told NJ Advance Media. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss the issue.
Its not yet known what the final tab will be.
Vernieros firm, firm Sills Cummis Gross, is being paid for its work, the Murphy administration has said.
Vernieros inquiry yielded earlier this month that largely cleared Murphys aides of wrongdoing in how they reacted to Katie Brennans allegations that Albert J. Alvarez raped her after a Murphy campaign gathering in April 2017. At the time, Brennan was a campaign supporter and Alvarez was a campaign official.
Alvarez was later hired to become chief of staff to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority even though people on Murphys staff have testified they were aware of the allegations and he remained in the job for months despite being told twice to leave.
Alvarez has repeatedly denied the accusations and two county prosecutors have declined to charge him with a crime.
Brennan is now chief of staff at the New Jersey Mortgage and Finance Agency.
The report says while Murphys aides made mistakes in how they handled the matter, they acted under their best judgement and understanding of existing law and that, ultimately, the system failed Brennan.
The report also backs up what Murphy has said many times: that he didnt personally know about Brennans allegations until last October, when Alvarez resigned after the Wall Street Journal contacted him for comment.
In the wake of the report, he had been told sooner and that his aides should have acted more swiftly and decisively to remove Alvarez.
State lawmakers from both parties have criticized the report. State Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, D Bergen — the co chair of a separate legislative investigation into the matter — too many unanswered questions," is peppered with vagaries and uncertainties," and appeared to make more of an effort to exonerate Murphys staff than it did to shed light on the case.
The legislative committee is continuing with its investigation.
So far, the price tag of Vernieros investigation pales in comparison to what New Jersey taxpayers paid to the law firm that former Gov. , a Republican, hired to run The state spent more than dollar 10 million on that inquiry, which Democrats blasted as being biased and incomplete.

Do away goals count in the Champions League? How does the rule work after extra-time? - Duration: 2:24.
Given how much money is at stake in the Champions League, knockout ties are often tense, closely fought and finely balanced affairs
Often the two sides involved will be level after the first leg and will still not be able to be separated after the second fixture
In this situation, away goals come into play, having been brought into the European Cup way back in 1967-68
If the two teams are level on aggregate after two fixtures, the team that has scored the most goals in their away fixture will progress
Do away goals count after extra-time? Yes – if the teams cannot be separated by away goals after 180 minutes, the game goes into extra-time after the second leg
So if there are two goalless games, then the second leg finishes 1-1 after extra-time, there would be no need for penalties, as the away team in the second leg would progress
The away goals rule was first ever used between Budapest Honved and Dukla Prague in the 1965-66 Cup Winners' Cup
Honved progressed and went on to lose to Liverpool in the next round. In the 2017-18 Champions League, away goals were used twice, with Roma benefitting on both occasions
The Italian side edged past Shakhtar Donetsk and then beat Barcelona in dramatic fashion in the quarter-finals
After a 4-1 defeat in Catelonia, Roma won 3-0 at home to squeeze through on away goals

In that time, hes been brought to life on stage and screen, featured in nature trails, library cards and book tokens and turned into a soft toy; and now hes got his own 50p coin.
Prices start from pound10 for the uncirculated coin, pound65 for the silver proof coin, and pound795 for the gold coin, which weighs 15.50g, with only 600 available for purchase, the rarest of the three.
Nicola Howell, director of consumer business at The Royal Mint, said: Over the last 20 years The Gruffalo has become one of the most famous childrens characters in the world.
We felt it was only right, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the book being published to feature him on a commemorative coin. We hope that children and adults across the UK will love this family favourite as much as we do.
This is not the first time a celebrated childrens character has been used for a coin. Recent editions include the Beatrix Potter character collection, Paddington, the friendly Peruvian bear and the Christmas favourite, The Snowman.
They will be available to purchase from www.royalmint.com.

I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH FIGHT I HAVE LEFT IN ME - Duration: 34:08.
I am 99% sure I did not pee myself my weight needs to be restored I don't know
how much more I can do
hello vlog it's Wednesday today I think and I am kind of feeling
back to myself it's been about two weeks since I came home and I finally feel
more like I feel more alert and not so like a zombie like like yesterday I
would just sleep and sleep and sleep until I would to get woken up for meds
and everything well no I predicted me that I'm having today well it's just
been over the past like five minutes I've been sitting here doing stuff on my
computer for however long I've been awake or since I've been upright and I
noticed my butt is completely wet I don't know what happened I am 99% sure I
did not pee myself but I don't remember spilling anything and like the carpet is
just wet here and it's like quite a large spot so I'm
like I don't even know what happened or if like maybe water was dropped when my
morning meds were given possibly like I rub the carpet out I don't know what it
even smells like like it smells kind of vinegary or like my carpets molding now
just probably what's happening um but I finished editing last week's vlog and I
noticed that and I realized I never made it clear what I was talking about so um
upon being a discharge from the hospital my MRIs which were scheduled for next
weekend or this weekend were cancelled even though we only did the head and
spine and all we still need to do flexion extension and something else
just to you know see how my head is attached to my body and see how well it
is attached to my body they were cancelled and we're like okay
well like when are we going to do them and when they were so they've been
scheduled they're scheduled for six months out
because my body this past hospitalization was so rough
on it and my body's so sensitive to change so I I don't know if anybody else
feels like a total zombie for the entire week once they've come home but that's
how I feel and so what very much wouldn't the most important thing is
that I didn't meet my weight needs to be restored to like
before our hospitalization wait before we can go ahead and move forward and it
probably should be up a little bit more because if we need to do something
surgical my body is going that's like more stress than just all the testing so
my weight needs to go back to a healthy weight it's like I don't look that bad
right now but my weight is pretty low and then
yesterday I did my heartrate I while I was wearing my watch yesterday for the
first time in a while and it has a heart rate and my heart is unstable so if we
talked like I need to really get things together for my body to be stable
because if we went to my doctor today or tomorrow which we're not and they did my
heart rate we would have to go sew or we'd have to go back to the hospital and
I don't want that to happen so um we're gonna continue on resting at
home and then tonight we or sometime this week we're planning on meeting my
cousin's baby she was born um about a month ago now we like the first day that
we went to the emergency room we were we actually had plans to go meet her that
night so I'm going to deal with this wet carpet situation change into different
clothing because my butt is flippy soaked although I'm pretty sure did not
pee myself I think I said this before in another vlog like the one before we went
to the hospital or something that today just something feels worse I don't know
what feels worse on my body right now it's just I feel gross like I was
sitting up and yeah I feel more back to be
me but at the same time I feel like there's something happening or something
inside of me that is not pleasant like but today my stomach hurts I'm just been
nauseous and my head hurts but like that's normal so but then like why do I
feel worse know what I mean hi guys so we've discovered I did not
pee my pants last night the water heater is broken and the water
heater is like right on the other side of my closet I guess and so it was
basically spilling water into my closet so we now have my carpet drying and then
Sol Natha what's that called the water heater guy The Fixer man he came and you
guys ordering parts and then that will be fixed but luckily we have other water
heaters for the other parts of the house so we can still take showers and you
guys last night it was so like rough emotionally I'm just oh I'm tired so I
didn't want to uh but I'm just I don't know how much like fight I have left in
me because
really we don't know what we're battling like yeah there's the ETS but I don't
know if that's what's causing all these other problems obviously that's probably
what's causing the net and probably the aneurysm - but I'm just tired
Oh so when yeah like I'm I don't know how I put this or it doesn't say I'm
like I'm just like you know how it feels but yeah I'm tired cuz uh it's
exhausting dealing with the pain and everything all the time I just want it
to end the pain and everything all the doctor's appointments all the tests MRIs
CT I don't really care about getting my blood drawn but that happened so often
emergency rooms regular doctor visits it's just a lot and I'm tired
oh so I'm just letting myself feel the tiredness and then a half do
creet will to keep going from subway well anyways I've I've been eating
chocolate and cookies today it's Valentine's Day and I've been eating
chocolate and cookies all alone and I'm pretty sure I'm all alone right now yes
I realized that during the last clip I was trying not to cry during the clip
and everything but that was like a few hours ago too
um because I feel like that's all I do on the Internet is I talk about things
and then I cry and then there'll be a few videos of me just need doing fast
know things and then another crying video and it just goes in a giant cycle
but I don't think I was really clear on what I was trying to say earlier oh my
gosh uh I don't think I'm gonna get through
this about crying about it but okay so the whole like fight thing I don't know
how much more I can do like oh my gosh I'm tired my body is so tired and during
the last hospitalization we talked about like what I meant by that with some of
my doctors and like my body is just tired
it's like quitting basically my body wants to quit because it's been so long
and it's been a lot longer than we've really been we're gonna you call it like
pursuing answers and which has been like I've been vlogging
for about a year and we were looking for answers for maybe three years dish
before that or and then well more than that more like I think we've started out
I was about 12 but even before that like I was living the struggle life alone
before that because I didn't even know that what I was experiencing and feeling
in my body wasn't normal but now what do I mean by it I don't
know how much more fight I have left in me is because it feels well it's just
even it's not even that just feel this way it is this way um every little like
improvement that we are able to make I get giant leaps backwards a problem
regression or I guess symptom progression and like using the
terminology like you gotta keep fighting fighting what like what am I even
fighting the pain by fighting like what because yeah don't you like put up a
fight against the pain and everything but in the end wait what is that end
goal of just keeping going through it all the stuff
good news is I have gained out a half pound since I weighed myself last til
when I weighed myself today so we are headed in the right direction but I
don't even think I said this yesterday but from the stress of my body of all of
what's been going on I let my defecting my heart again because my bodyweight
dropped and so my heart rates really really like MIDI key right now last
night I think 3 o'clock in the morning they have my watch set to send me
notifications if my heart rates up too high for a too long and at 3 o'clock in
the morning I got awoken by my watch going off because my heart it was at 130
and I like I don't know what was going on last night I'm not even sure if I've
slept because I was dreaming but I was awake but I don't know if my dream was
of what was happening like I don't know what was happening it was like but I
wasn't in my dreams yet like really happy or like go through emotions and
dreams like going through a movie basically is how I dreams but I didn't
feel any of that during my like sleeping it was like I
was just peaceful last night and but I just wasn't really like sleeping but I
got more rest from whatever I was doing last night then what else but actually
think but I just want us to be able to get to an
improvement without setbacks which I which isn't logical to expect that
because or to get improvement to it out like other random things going back and
like yesterday and today I've been saying that there's something wrong and
I can't tell what it is I think it's that I'm losing more of the
sensation in my legs then because I arm my arms have been fixed by the collar
my legs are there's been no change or just a little bit of progression which I
don't like obviously that's not like we're gonna have to figure out what's
going on there but we're just trying to get me back to a stable place before we
do the next set of scans and then talking about the future of surgery or
treatment options and I'm just exhausted but like my body just feel like it's
like giving out that's what I mean but it's just tired well hopefully oh and
tomorrow my physical therapist starts coming over to our house so uh I guess
we'll see how that goes and I won't vlog during that obviously cuz she just comes
for I think an hour and we probably tomorrow just gonna like see where I'm
at physically probably not good where I'm at right now
physically because I haven't really gotten off my bed in days because of the
paint's just so much last night we didn't go to Target and to get frozen
yogurt B existed and then today I just pretty much been in here the whole day
so just gotta keep push it on I just I think it's just I didn't I need time to
like process what's happened recently and then to be able to like move on to
or to be able to press forward with what everything else that needs to happen and
then I don't know I've just been copping a rough time like what the painted
everything but I try to pretend that I'm okay but it's just so hard I'll see you
guys tomorrow and hopefully I feel like better or at least just out of this
feeling of like this fight is never empty but just thought that's what
cronicbeats but I don't know I'll see you later bye B are checking the weather
weather report from Ellen you're so cold because I spilt me okay doll over my
jacket well just whoa it's hailing a lot of it it's like rain and marbles out
there oh there's um people driving by and then I opened the blinds abruptly
and then they were then looking at me and my fazool therapist came by and we
pretty much just did all the questions today and here's my things to do until I
see her on Monday so yeah I'm really distracted by the hail so I'll maybe
film later so you got a package from a viewer no no on the Instagram
I bought a message like three months no maybe did you send me like okay get out
not really mr. Timothy
I'm sure this'll tell me oh good oh well
here look what a nice hard
oh wow
plus she can't open it you're supposed to breathe it in and helps you relax but
you don't breathe air like that you put it in a diffuser
no these are the breathing in types I
haven't talked to you guys in a long time which is very sad but we got ready
for it ready for it the diffuser going wait I should press it a second time
because otherwise it's gonna like gas me out like it did earlier it was just too
strong I thought on high for me probably
because it's like do you see it and then my bed so I was we're trying to put it
over by my TV but our motto plugs over there so I need to figure assess the
situation and figure out what is even plugged in over there sorry if my
lighting looks really funky because my fan which is on still I don't know why
that's one but so update and then I think um after today I'm going to end
this vlog maybe and then try blogging again more regularly and not just like a
one clip a day type thing but it's um well so my
rubber hosing that my legs or I was saying that something felt weird but I
didn't know what felt weird and then yesterday I think I came to the
realization that the thing that felt weird that I didn't know what what it
was but something was off it was my legs they were hurting flesh
like tingly it was just weird well we were supposed to run out of one of my
medications today I think and so we who had been tapering down on it because I
have three that are new from the last hospitalization and the we can't figure
out who prescribed this because all all of my applications ended up being
prescribed by just whoever because my doctor was gone and then like an on-call
doctor in the middle the night I ordered one of them then one of them was is one
of the nurse practitioners and then we don't even know who the third one was
and so we are been having a major hard time finding are getting this refilled
or at least the prescription transferred over to our pharmacy
I don't know the disconnection between how or between the you know what I mean
like I don't see how they expect us to be successful at outpatient when we
can't get our things together and not really like general practitioners PT
Tricia and all those types there's like things that they are like they prescribe
regularly and then there's things that they just really just never prescribed
and my mom ended up calling her last night was like please just to prescribe
it just for this like month and then hopefully we will have everything to
figure it out by the end of it otherwise we will talk to my neurologist about
this which I'm getting a new neurologist anyways but we have an appointment with
the new neurologist
sometime at the beginning of next month and I don't know how I even feel about
that it's not another headache center it's at the Stanford one in the Hoover
Building but I mean headache doctors really haven't been able to help me very
much but maybe they stopped her will hopefully maybe I don't know but I need
I I'm supposed to be getting dressed right now because we have Zeus's
birthday Taylor's birthday and grandpa's birthday all celebrating them today and
um yeah I am still in my pajamas because Zeus's birthday we just kind of like
skipped over it sorry Zeus like our family went out to
dinner and I think that's analog and then but like with Gramps and gran and
Sharon and everybody we'd never celebrated um and then the hospital
happened and I was in the hospital on Taylor's birthday so that like their
family probably went out to dinner and we never like she's pretty much my
sibling so we kind of like celebrate birthdays and everything all you know
and then grandpa's birthday was on
Valentine's Day or the day after Valentine's Day I don't really know
okay well I'll get dressed and I will take you guys with me to dinner and I
think I'm going to dinner otherwise I'm just staying here and then an eating
dinner here because I can't eat dinner at the dinner place
and then when no one comes home to take a shower he will pick me up and we will
go to the eating cake part which I also I'm not gonna eat cake but you know what
I mean buddy go to Ellen he was here he comes
base it no he knows it's a good job buddy
is that to demean oh do you take a picture right in the hole Ian wait
there we got it bogged it up I just left the blimp in there randomly quiet
I watched the 36 minute one from yesterday yeah without it her nose oh
yeah I wasn't that I might have made the camera a little bit foggy up there you
go let's look at mine Napoleon now let's let's have like a light with a montage
now let's go to the cake cuttings on this side wow this is some amazing
quality
hi pops we are headed home and Nolan's driving and our parents are back we were
next to them and then Nolan told them to taste our midst because it's still
raining I think I I don't know if I ever said that but it's been raining for like
weeks or at least it feels my way
say goodnight
I love see you tomorrow maybe more Monday fight

Dr. Philip Goglia: How Much Water Should I Drink? Get Fit. Don't Quit! - Duration: 1:30.
Hey I'm Jake of Body by Jake with your nutrition tip of the day I'm here with
Dr. P answering your most frequently asked questions Dr. P great to see you
I've got one from Michael who asks - oh this is interesting one how much water
should I drink daily what you gotta drink some water is important water
really runs your nutrition show in fact all of your nutrition is really built
underneath your water intake the rule of thumb if you are inactive is half an
ounce of water for one pound of body weight consumed a day so if you weight
200 pounds 100 ounces drink it in liters that's the easiest way to consume your
water like a liters 33 ounces 3 liters is a hundred ounces 3 bottles - 3 liters
easy to consume easy to hold now if you're active you're training if you're
working out if you're athlete the rule of thumb is up to one ounce of water for
one pound of body weight so if 200 pounds 200 ounces or 6 liters and
remember the most important thing the definition of water fish must swim in it
not sparkling not bubbly enough flavored fish are in your water that's water I
love it Dr. P always a pleasure remember stick to the fight when your hardest hit
it's when things seem worse that you must not quit don't quit have a great
day you

I owe how much? Some Americans shocked by smaller refunds under new tax law. Chicago Tribune - Duration: 4:50.
I owe how much? Some Americans shocked by smaller refunds under new tax law. Chicago Tribune
Wait, I owe the ?
The first tax filing season under the new federal tax law is proving to be surprising, confusing — and occasionally frightening — for some Americans, especially those accustomed to getting money back from the government.
Take Andy Kraft and Amy Elias of Portland, Ore. The couple had grown comfortable getting a small refund each year, a few hundred dollars or more. Then they found out they owe dollar 10,160 this year.
I will never forget the moment, I thought We look good and then we added in the next W 2 and my jaw hit the floor, Kraft said. There was no way I wanted to believe that what I was looking at was accurate.
President Trump promised a reduction in taxes with the new law. And by most measures, the majority of Americans will see one. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center projected the tax law would reduce individual income taxes by about dollar 1,260 on average, although it benefits higher earners more.
Some people already saw the benefit in the form of bigger paychecks. Thats because the law forced employers to change what they withheld. But the system is far from perfect, and many workers didnt have enough in taxes set aside. Now, the IRS wants that money.
In addition, the law also eliminated personal exemptions, increased child credits, limited popular deductions and generally upended many familiar practices that determine what happens at tax time. That has taxpayers feeling a bit unmoored.
We were very comfortable with our tax law, it had basically been there since 1986, suddenly all these things that were very important to people changed ... its all different, said Howard Gleckman, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center.
Kraft and Elias are able to pay their tax bill but hes still stunned. He even tried to reverse engineer things to figure out where they went wrong, diving into page after page of IRS rules. He painstakingly put together all the numbers. The couple ultimately asked a CPA to verify the figures they were seeing on TurboTax. Crushingly, they were correct.
The couples effective tax rate was lower, but they still owed the government.
I feel like I have reached a stage of grief of acceptance, he said. In a twisted way I should have been paying this all year and now I just have to pay it in one lump sum.
A number of experts such as Gleckman are urging taxpayers to obsess less about their refund or what they owe when measuring the effect of the new tax law. These are just a sliver of your tax picture.
But the truth is, many Americans have come to rely on refunds. About three quarters of U.S. taxpayers typically get one and they had averaged around dollar 2,800. For some low income households it is the biggest cash infusion of the year.
The IRS reported Thursday that the average tax refund as of the second week of filing season was dollar 1,949, down 8.7 percent from the year earlier. The total number of refunds is down 16 percent.
Experts caution it is too early to draw conclusions about a tax season that ends in April. Plus, the number of returns — 27 million as of Feb. 8 — is down 10 percent from a year ago, due in part to the partial government shutdown. The picture will become much clearer as more filings are processed, refunds are issued and the IRS gets back up to full speed.
All the same, the initial results have surprised early filers and worried those who havent yet tackled their taxes.
Part of the problem centers around how employees and employers adjusted or didnt adjust withholdings from paychecks to account for the laws changes. The government issued updated withholding guidelines to help employers determine how much to set aside from an employees paycheck to cover taxes. Withhold too much and you get a refund at tax time; too little and you owe.
It is at best, an estimate. But its an estimate that grew drastically more difficult to make under the new law.
The estimated in a report last summer that about 30 million workers had too little withheld from their paychecks, which made their take home pay bigger but increased their tax liability. Thats about 3 million more workers than normal.
Few taxpayers appear to have heeded the IRS advice to do a paycheck checkup to make sure they had the proper amount withheld. Payroll processor , which is responsible for paying one out of every six Americans, said the vast majority of people in its system didnt update their withholdings last year.
Some taxpayers who did make adjustments found they couldnt get it quite right.
Kevin McCreanor of Milton, Georgia and his wife normally get a sizeable refund each year — it was more than dollar 12,000 last year. While they know waiting for a large refund isnt the best strategy financially, they like a refund and they put anything they get back toward their daughters education. Their income, earned primarily from his wifes job in telecom, can vary greatly, so there was comfort in never facing a big bill.
The couple increased her paycheck withholdings to ensure the same but found they are only getting back dollar 519 this year. Their income and tax rate did increase, and McCreanor acknowledges there is probably more he could have done to prepare but he is very disappointed all the same.
Millions of Americans filling out their 2018 taxes will probably be surprised to learn that their refund will be less than expected or that they owe money to the after years of receiving refunds.
People have taken to social media, using the hashtag GOPTaxScam, to vent their...
Some surprises were welcome, however. Brian Goodell and his wife typically face a tax bill of anywhere from dollar 10,000 to dollar 15,000 each year. But this year the Tigard, Oregon, couple is getting a dollar 15,000 refund. They believe they got some benefit from the increased child tax credit. They also made more charitable donations and increased their withholdings. While Goodell isnt entirely sure why it worked out so well, hell gladly take the refund.
Taxpayers can get a better sense of how they fared by looking at their tax liability or effective tax rate. This information is often available on the summary received from an accountant or tax preparation software. They can also look at the total tax on those summaries or form 1040. These are not perfect measures either, but provide some perspective.
And remember that getting a refund is not necessarily a good thing. Breaking even is really the best outcome from an economic point of view. If you get a refund, that means the government has been holding onto your money when you could have been using it.
Additionally, consider that taxes are rarely an equal comparison from year to year, said Eric Bronnenkant, the head of tax at Betterment and a CPA and certified financial planner. Peoples lives change in ways that can dramatically influence their taxes, such as marriages, divorces, kids, moving or job changes. The average taxpayer may not realize the full impact some of these changes might have.
I am not surprised by the reaction people are having, Bronnekant said. I think for some people the reaction is more justified than others.
