President Moon's public support increases to 61% - Duration: 0:30.

It appears the latest inter-Korean summit provided a boost to the South Korean President's

popularity at home.

According to research firm Gallup Korea, President Moon Jae-in's approval rating climbed to 61

percent this week.

It had been slipping as of late, going down to just 49 percent in the first week of September.

During April's Panmunjeom summit, his approval rating rose ten percent, the latest meeting

led to an 11 percent spike.

The figures are based on one thousand people surveyed between September 18th and September

20th.

Kirkland City Spotlight #2 - Councilmember Penny Sweet - Investment in Public Safety - Duration: 2:04.

The city invests in Public Safety in so very many ways. We go through a huge

process every year identifying the most important things, two of the most

important things of course are the way that we treat Fire and the way that we

treat our Police services. So it always remains an incredibly important element

of what we do with our budget. But there is Public Safety elements and everything

else we do as well. In you know making sure that we provide adequate water

services, roads, transportation all of that is related to public safety issues.

They're all important and they all kind of go into the mix that we put together

in order to to create our budget. One of the things that has come out really

predominantly this year is the whole issue of gun safety. We've done a number

of public outreach projects around identifying what the community wants, it

needs, around gun safety. We're going to continue to do that. One of the other

things that's very critical is our ProAct unit. That is a unit of about five

individuals who work specifically around trying to identify the elements and the

people involved in crime. The car break-ins, the house break-ins, the theft

off of people's front steps. Public Safety is the primary responsibility of

city government and we take it very seriously.

In Kirkland over the course of the nine years almost ten that I've been on the

City Council I've been incredibly impressed with the process that we use

around budget. So the bottom line is we've got a budget to put together and

we need help. So give us your ideas. Give us your thoughts. Let us know what you're

thinking. We do this for you. This is our community.

sexual misconduct scandal now that he's been credibly accused of attempting to

rape a girl when they were both in high school as more details about his life

Kavanaugh in it they questioned the wisdom of allowing him to teach the

Supreme Court since 2005 a class he slated to run in the upcoming winter

term he receives three thousand and fifty four dollars a day for the Harvard

teaching job and has taught classes in the past as Harvard Law School

considered how this opportunity to learn about the Supreme Court might not be

equally available to women because many will self select out of a class taught

by a credibly accused sexual assailant women at this Law School are already

forced to opt out of clerkships and employment opportunities in order to

avoid alleged sexual predators they should not also be forced to opt out of
