News on Youtube Sep 23 2018

Hi guys!

Good morning.

Today I am going to be showing you two different hotels here in India.

One of them for $150 a night, and one for $15 a night.

So... should I show you the cheap hotel or the expensive hotel first?

I think I'm going to just show you the $15 hotel first, because

I'm just so excited to show you guys.

Because... well, look at it.

But first, let me show you the room.

Okay, so let me give you a tour of the room itself.

This room is, you know, pretty straightforward, just a room.

A bed, and a space.

Nothing fancy, but it's - it's fine, it's nice and clean.

This looks like the biggest bed in the world,

but it's really just two little beds pushed together.

Door is over here, there's a rug on the floor.

There is AC that you control with a remote.

And it works pretty well, it's not just a fan, it's actual AC.

There's a small TV up there, but we never watch TV,

so I couldn't say how that works really.

Over this way we have the bathroom.

Just a pretty normal bathroom.

Um, a lot of places in India - most places in India - do have the bucket and shower things

down on the bottom, and then an actual shower here.

This has a water heater but, the hot water...

I wouldn't call it hot water.

I would just call it water that's not cold.

It's so hot out, I really don't even mind that it's not like steaming hot water.

And, yeah, I don't know what else I could really say about the bathroom,

because it's just a bathroom.

I don't know why, but in India, they always have like SO many switches on the wall, and

I can never figure out what all of them do, or why like ALL of these are necessary - oops.

They gave us the key in this huge... thing.

We took it off because it's just so big, but this thing is like -

I think it's actually historic, which is really cool, but this is like solid metal, iron.

I don't know what it is.

Kind of like a bell.

And it is SO heavy, I couldn't imagine carrying this around in my purse.

So it is $15 a night, and that does not include free breakfast.

A lot of places in India are going to include free breakfast in the price.

So, the price to get free breakfast, I think it was like $18.

There is no wifi inside the room.

So, yeah, that's this room.

$15 a night.

But the cool part about this hotel is that it is actually a historic haveli!

So, historically, it was a mansion owned by a wealthy merchant in the area.

And it is just covered in art.

Let's get out of the room and see the rest of the hotel.

Let's go.

So I am standing in one of the courtyards right now, and as you guys can see,

this is so, so incredibly beautiful.

Probably one of the most beautiful places that I have stayed in India, I have to say.

And all of the walls are just covered in artwork.

This building is very old, very historic, it's 150 years old.

Most of the paintings have been restored, so that's why they look so nice and new.

But a lot of them are actually 150 year old paintings.

This is just so incredible.

If you love art or history or, I don't know, beautiful places in general,

then this place is just amazing, I love it so much.

Let's see over here, some of the paintings.

This is one of my favorite of the paintings, and then this one as well, right next to it.

I mean this is just so beautiful.

And then being able to see the courtyard the other way, everything.

It's kind of hard to capture on camera, but I hope that you guys can tell how gorgeous

this is, because it's so unique and so beautiful.

So, you go from the gorgeous courtyard up the stairs.

There's no elevator here, it's only like 2 stories, so I'd much rather the history than

the elevator, but I guess some people might mind that.

Up the stairs...

And then you have a beautiful view of the courtyards from above, which is really awesome.

So that's where we just were, down there.

Here is Livio, trying to sneak in some wifi from the lobby, that's like right down there.

Yep.

How is it?

It works... at times, pretty well.

Are you filming the hotel?

What do you think of this hotel?

I think it's very beautiful, it has these amazing ceilings and walls and stuff.

As for where this hotel is located, it is in the town of Mandawa, which is a pretty

small town in Rajasthan.

Mandawa is famous for having all of these historic paintings on the walls,

some people call it an open air art gallery or museum.

Gonna be a different video about that, so I'm not going to go too into detail,

but it's a pretty cool place, and not really very discovered by tourists yet.

This hotel is located right in the center of town, in a beautiful haveli,

as you have seen.

And just really close to everything you could want, everything is within walking distance,

so it is very central and a good location.

Okay guys, now we are going to move on to the hotel that was $150 a night.

Okay, so this is the room in the entrance, you have these big closets and, a mirror.

That's the door to the bathroom.

Bathroom over there, the bed.

The TV is pretty big, I never watch TV, so I didn't even turn it on.

There's a nice little desk area here, glass desk.

Here we have the bathroom, it is pretty nice, modern.

A glass shower.

Over the tub, this is all glass, and you can see into the rest of the room.

And then of course if you want to lower the shades, they're up there, for some privacy.

But I think it's pretty nice that it's in a little glass box.

So as I said, this room is $150 per night, and what does that include?

So, it does not include any food or meals, so no free breakfast, that is extra.

It does include wifi in the room, limited to 3 devices per room.

And...

I'm trying to think of what else the price includes, but that's pretty much it.

Just the room and wifi.

There is a pool downstairs, there's a gym, there's a spa.

You don't have to pay extra to use the pool or the gym, but to use the spa, or anything

like that, of course it's going to cost you something.

There are some nice restaurants in this hotel, but they are very expensive,

so it's not included in the price.

Okay guys, I kind of have a story right now.

I went down to the cafe here, I just wanted a nice morning coffee,

figured they'd have nice coffee here.

I was told that for Livio and I to just go and sit down in the cafe, we would be charged

1,000 rupee, JUST to sit there.

Like, it's a cover charge.

So... all I want is a coffee.

And the coffee itself is already 500 rupees.

So, already a $7 cup of coffee is quite a bit, but to have to pay $15 on top of that

just to sit down, it was a no from me.

Maybe it would have been the best coffee in the world, but... yeah.

Now, let's talk about the area that this hotel is in.

So this hotel is located in the city of New Delhi, and it is in the Connaught Place area.

Considered one of the most elegant and business-like areas of New Delhi, there are a lot of shops,

malls, restaurants around, nightlife.

Definitely a very central and pretty expensive area of the city.

Well guys, I hope that you enjoyed the video and seeing two different hotels here in India.

Let me know down in the comments which one you prefer and think is better.

And I will see you next time, somewhere else in the world.

Thanks for watching.

Bye!

Katie Holmes & Jamie Foxx Are All Smiles Leaving A Hotel In Georgia Together — Rare New Pics - Daily - Duration: 3:41.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were anything but undercover while she visited him in Atlanta

The happy couple was all smiles in rare photographs leaving their hotel together

Two sightings of Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx together in less than one week is a new record for the most undercover couple in Hollywood

They were spotted leaving his hotel in Atlanta on Sept. 18, where the 50-year-old actor is filming his new movie Just Mercy

The 39-year-old mother of one was all smiles, looking so happy to be spending time with her sweetie of five years

He was quite the gentleman as well, carrying her rollaway suitcase and her black oversized purse

What a sweetie!    Katie looked adorable and ready for fall in a black long-sleeved blouse with yellow, blue and red floral patterns

She paired it with blue skinny jeans that showed off her long toned legs. The Batman Begins star added tan suede ankle boots and accessorized with a burgundy over the shoulder purse

The natural beauty went totally makeup free and still looked gorgeous. Jamie appeared ready to head out for a workout in a black t-shirt, black track pants and white trainers

It was a brief stay for Katie down south as she was photographed back in New York City on Sept

21. From the looks of it, Jamie was helping Katie with her stuff as she headed off the airport

It was the second time in two days that the couple was pictured together, which is beyond rare

They go out of their way to not be photographed together so a double sighting of the lovebirds was shocking

The last time the couple was caught on camera was on Aug. 3 when they put on an adorable PDA show while walking down the beach in Malibu

While she was in the ATL, Katie and Jamie made sure to keep up with their fitness, hitting a local gym together on Sept

17. They were photographed in their workout clothes and got their sweat on together

The pair was first linked in 2013 and have never officially spoken about their romance or made any public appearances as a couple

The only time they end up on camera together is via a paparazzo with a long lens

They've gone for such long stretches without being seen together that there have been breakup rumors along the way

But then they get papped and prove that their love is still going strong.

LA's 'belle epoque' revealed in photos of revelers in hotel bars - Duration: 8:48.

During the early 20th century, thousands of Americans flocked from the chilly East Coast and escaped west to sunny Southern California taking advantage of the numerous luxury hotels that were popping up throughout the region

These pristine establishments served as havens for upper class and wealthy tourists along with several popular restaurants that became the stuff of legend and lasted for decades

Situated in Los Angeles, the true heart of southern California, the fancy and spacious hotels, including The Ambassador Hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel and The Raymond Hotel, became known for welcoming esteemed guests, including celebrities, musicians and politicians, with open arms

Many of them also hosted the early years of award shows like the Academy Awards and became the hotspots where A-listers often took up residence and where countless memorable moments took place

It was truly a time when glitz and glamour were at their peak - a now bygone era of Los Angeles's golden age that saw the cream of the cop dancing to orchestras at nightclubs and truly living their best lives

The now shuttered Ambassador Hotel and its fabled Cocoanut Grove nightclub witnessed the gamut of everything while it operated for more than six decades

After opening for business at the stroke of midnight on January 1, 1921, the Ambassador Hotel quickly became the pristine example of what a luxury hotel should be

It cost an estimated $5million to build at the time, which today's equivalent is about $63million

Sitting on a 27 acres on Wilshire Boulevard, the hotel was supremely designed and was referred to by F

Scott Fitzgerald – who once lived there - as 'the greatest, gaudiest spree in American history

' The hotel was surrounded by a quarter of a million plants, trees, and shrubs on the lush lawns, while the decorative scheme inside included pastel tinted furniture

There was even a small beach area, mini-golf course and a theatre to entertain guests that included royalty, businessmen, politicians and Hollywood stars

Once the Cocoanut Grove opened inside of the hotel, it was instantly the go-to venue for the Hollywood elite to frequent

Joan Crawford was a regular the club, especially when she was trying to make a name for herself in the industry

She once said: 'There was so much drama right here in this hotel.so many lives were affected, some for better, some for worse

So many careers began.some even ended in this very room. What memories I have of this place

' According to FindingLostAngeles, Crawford competed in Charleston dance competitions at the venue with Mary Pickford, Barbara Stanwyck, Carole Lombard and Gloria Swanson

Plus, Carole Lombard, Rudolph Valentino, Charlie Chaplin, Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and Jean Harlow were others who frequented the hotspot

The Ambassador Hotel served as the site of the Academy Awards six times – the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 12th, and 15th

But everything changed for The Ambassador Hotel on June 5, 1968.Sen.Robert F.Kennedy delivered his victory speech for winning the California Democratic presidential primary election inside the Embassy ballroom of the venue

He was shot minutes after finishing his speech inside the kitchen of the hotel and died one day later of from his injuries

His death was the beginning of the hotel's demise and eventually the decline of the neighborhood that surrounded it caused the area to drastically worsen

The hotel was renovated in the mid-1970s but it still did not help attract the crowd it used to be famous for

It shut its doors for good in 1989 and was eventually demolished in the 2000s.Another luxurious hotel that also was the site stars flocked to was the Raymond Hotel and Resort perched atop Raymond Hill which is today known as South Pasadena – just a few minutes outside of downtown Los Angeles

The hotel offered beautiful views of the then-pastoral San Gabriel Valley countryside and on a clear day one could see the Pacific Ocean

The resort opened in 1886 and was one of the first upscale venue to offer accommodations for those visiting the area during the time period

During it's inaugural ball on November 17, 1886 to mark the hotel's opening, The Los Angeles Times labeled the event that was attended by 1,500 people as 'the most extensive social affair in the history of the county' and 'the mark of an important era in the history of Southern California

' It quickly transformed the region into a booming mecca for East Coast tourists escaping the harsh, cold winter

The hotel was forced to close after a fire in 1895 and reopened in 1901 – the second version of the resort was even grander than the original

The Raymond boomed with business for decades until the Great Depression caused it to fall into decline

It shut down completely in 1931 after it was foreclosed on and was demolished in 1934

Both the Ambassador Hotel and the Raymond served thousands of visitors over the decades when they thrived with business

Photos are one of the few remaining mementos that represent a time in Los Angeles that is now bygone
