News on Youtube Nov 22 2018

Hi YouTube! Author Stefanie Newell and this is The Life Of A Writer channel.

Today's video - Self Publishing Cost. So if you want to connect with readers and

sell more books, make sure to subscribe and get new content to your inbox every

Tuesday. But in this video, I'm going to be sharing how to go about calculating

self-publishing costs, so that you can start on your budget early! I was

recently a part of a workshop panel and this question kept coming up over and

over again... how much does it really cost to self publish a book? So in this video,

I'm going to be giving you an idea of some of the things that you have to

factor in as far as cost. No one can tell you exactly how much it's going to cost

in order for you to self publish your book, because there's so many different

factors that goes into it. Such as... who you choose for an editor your graphic

designer, the length of your book, and there's just so many different things

that go into the cost. But in this video I plan to share with you all of the

different expenses that you will or possibly incur as a result of

self-publishing so that you can begin your budget.

Depending on your preference and final vision for your book, you'll either need

to purchase stock photos for your book cover or hire a professional

photographer to shoot the cover for your book. You will also need to hire a

graphic designer to design your book cover. Aside from your book cover editing

your book is one of those areas where you don't want to skimp, so you want to

find an editor that is qualified to do the work and also be mindful not to

choose editors based on price. As the self-published author its also going to

be your responsibility to copyright your book. So that's also another cost that

you want to include in your budget. And an ISBN so an ISBN is a nine digit number

that identifies your book. So why you definitely can typeset your book in

softwares like Microsoft Word, there are people that will provide the service for

you so you also may need to include this in your budget. Whether you choose to

hire someone to create your website or use a free platform such as WordPress or

Blogger there are still costs associated. Such as domain registration, as well as

hosting. Depending on the company that you choose to go with there are going to

be some costs associated with proof copies and setup costs and also your

initial first-run. So you have to make a decision on how many books you want to initially

start with, so that if you go to a book signing or you're just selling books from

your website, you're gonna have to purchase those books (at cost) and then

sell them to your customer. So miscellaneous items that you're probably

not including in your budget... So you definitely want to include them as well

such as book release parties, shipping and packaging materials, table dressing,

book stands, and things of that nature. So you definitely want to include those in

your budget as well. Now the things that I'm going to talk about next are

entirely optional, but some authors choose to purchase advertising for

social media and magazines and radio. As well as hiring marketing and PR firms to

assist with your book projects. If you decide to go with promotional items such

as posters and business cards and flyers all of those items are going to have

cost associated with the printing of them. If you want to connect with readers

and sell more books, make sure to subscribe and also check out my previous

video where I share five mistakes to avoid when self publishing. As always all

of my social media links will be in the description box below. If you're looking

to hire me as your writing coach, you will find that information there as well

and I look forward to talking with you in my next video!

How much does a Cafe Racer Moped Cost? | Moped-Wednesday Ep. 1 - Duration: 9:38.

Welcome to motorbike wednesday number 1

in this video I´m going to talk about this new mini series "motorbike wednesday"

and about my coffee racer rebuilding

because there were many questions under my last video and I want to answer them now

fuel tap open

the light switch is already on

here I can pump a few times

if I want to

it´s pretty cold

about 0° C

so I need to give a lot of choke and gas

and

it starts perfectly

the new tachometer as also working

in my motorbike video I didn´t say a word

but I really like these kind of videos

which are only "cinema"

without a lot of talking

but thereby there is a lot of information missing

so I wanted to use this video to include some information

the first question that was asked many times was

how much did this whole thing cost?

and in principle something like this is pretty cheap

because these motorbike service quantities aren´t very expensive

"hello"

for this whole motorbike rebuilding I paid about 100 EUR

because I had to buy a new piston and a new cylinder

altogether this rebuilding did cost between 400 and 500 EUR

which I think is okay because I only used high-quality material

so probably it would have been possible to do this whole rebuilding cheaper

but

for example I wanted to use two-component varnish

because they are petrol resistent

and in the long run

you have more fun with it when you use high-quality material

" how long it took me for the whole rebuilding?"

and actually it wasn´t such a big effort

I did the motor revision

alongside studying in the evening for about 1-2 hours

and it took me one week

and I finished the whole coffee racer rebuilding in only 3 days

so with filming and everything and the fact that I did this for the first time

I think it´s not a long time

and it shows that it´s not a big effort

for example if you want to dismount the motor

there are only 3 screws that you have to unscrew

and then you can take out the motor

to take off the cylinder there are only 4 screws

so it´s really stress-free

"how fast is your motorbike?"

as you can see I´m going 40 km/h uphill

that´s not bad

but now it´s really going down

because the owner before me had installed a smaller chainring in the back

and because of that the batter is not the best

but theerefor the residual speed is pretty high

I did also install a bigger manifold

and a bigger carb

everything rather semi legal

which takes us to the next point

if the motorbike has a TÜV?

and with motorbikes in general it´s a bit comlicated

because the TÜV doesn´t exist for motorbikes

in the way you know it from a car

that you have to go to the TÜV every two years

but

there is the general type approval

and if you have that then you are allowed to drive the motorbike like that forever

regardless is your brakes don´t work anymore

so that´s in your own interest if they work

but technically that whole thing is not a problem

but if I change big things at my motorbike like I did

like a bigger manifold and a bigger carb

tuning arrangements in general

or for example the bar that I welded on right here

then normally the general type approval expires

and that´s a decision everyone need to make on their own

whether you want to drive your motorbike like that or not

in my case I´m pretty sure that I want to drive it like that

but other people might think differently

I think everyone can decide that on their own

but at that point

I want to talk about my mini series

the "motorbike wednesday"

in fact I even bought a second motorbike

and it´s a Hercules prima 5

which I bought from Ebay Kleinanzeigen

for 250 EUR

which is pretty cheap

the motor is turning but I haven´t started it yet

but before that I´m going to clean the carb

and the exhaust

and then technically it should work

and for that motorbike I want to make the whole rebuilding legal

I already have a few ideas how to do it

even with the bar on top

and without welding anything

and I think that´s very interesting

because motorbikes in general are really really cool transportation means

but the visual appearance of these old motorbikes might bother some people

some people like it and think that it´s a scandal to rebuild them to a coffee racer like that

and that you shouldn´t disfigure the old motorbikes

but I think with the additional value that you get from such a rebuilding

you can accept to rebuild the original

and in principle you could always reverse it again

even if there is something welded on

but that might be a bigger effort

on the whole it´s a lot of fun to drive this motorbike

and because it´s really small and with the low balance point

it´s easy to get around curves

and as long as the road doesn´t go uphill

the acceleration is pretty good

the next question that I got asked pretty often was

"What´s the fastest I can drive with that motorbike?"

and as we know uphill it doesn´t work that well

and here the path is going to be a little barred soon

but

soon we can test how fast it can drive

but before that there is going to be a short off road section

but

actually it´s not that big of a deal

if I would get on the road again

okay so the motorbike is also pretty offroad qualified

many people said that by the way it´s constructed with the high fender it´s not a real coffee racer

I don´t know if the coffee racer satus doesn´t count anymore with the high fender

but I think the spirit that you can make new things by yourself for not much money with the things you already have

which looks way better than before

and might even be faster

I think it satisfies it

so for me it´s a coffee racer

maybe some people see that differently

okay now the speed test

so I think that it can definitely go 50 km/h

but because there are other people here I don´t want to go too fast

the motorbike is also very loud

I do have insulation wool for the exhaust but I think for this kind of exhaust it´s not really adequate

because they don´t have the typical muffler

but kind of a pipe

so I need to have a look at that again

because I find it kind of disturbing how loud it is right now

even if it has a pretty nice sound

the next question is

"do I want to sell the motorbike?"

and the answer is no because it´s the first motorbike that I own

and of course it was a lot of work too

besides that

I would have a bad conscience to sell this kind of a motorbike without a type approval

but for the second motorbike rebuilding

it might be different

I need to think about that

but it could be possible that I might auction it at the end

or that I might do a giveaway for the subscribers

I need to see how it turns out

so I think at this point I´m going to end this video

and I´m curious to see how you guys like these kind of videos

it won´t be the last motorbike vlog forever but for now

because I just wanted to try it

I´m curious what you think about it

until then have fun and all the best!

What Brian Shaw Eats for Lunch | Cooking Bison w/ 4x World's Strongest Man - Duration: 4:06.

what's up muscle and strength this is four-time world Strongest Man Brian Shaw

with redcon1 and I'm gonna give you an example of what I would cook for

lunch

now I don't really have a lunch because I'm eating so frequently so maybe this

would be lunch number one let's call it that so let's go ahead and get started

here what I'm gonna start with and and basically every meal for me include some

type of red meat so this is ground bison and it's really really really good stuff

so we're gonna throw in the pan here think these are it's like two and a half

pounds total so just over a pound each package so I'm gonna throw those in

this meal is an example of something I would do in my diet I'm leading up to a

contest but this is normal for me the only the only difference is leading up

to a contest is we may bump up the carbohydrate a little bit more but

typically and maybe maybe the portion of meat a little bit bigger you know as we

as we get closer leading up to a contest just to push the calories a little bit

more but overall it's it's you know pretty standard for what I would

normally eat next thing with this we're just going to use some salt so that'll

be really the only seasoning you know that I'm gonna throw on this everything

gets weighed after I've uh after I've already cooked it this meal will be 12

ounces of bison

definitely have that ready to rock and roll and then I'm gonna portion this out

and do roughly roughly three cups of rice with this meal which is a little

bit higher quantity of rice but again I'm in the process of bumping it up

before I compete so three cups of rice which basically covers the Bison

completely it's definitely a lot of rice on top of that I've got just some

organic baby carrots kind of depending on the size you know I normally do four

or five of those with normally about three meals during the day on top of

this we're just gonna dump some organic chicken stock so this this is gonna make

this meal I think it makes it delicious but it also makes it a heck of a lot

easier to eat we throw the throw the chicken stock on top here and I normally

don't really I don't really measure exactly how much of the chicken stock

I'm putting I just kind of know now that's probably about about a cup of

chicken stock just got to grab a spoon and and then go to work so the eating is

the hard part I always say that you know compared to you know the training and

recovery work and all of that outside the the eating I think is the hard is

the hardest part because it's constant it's all day you got to stay on top of

it so this is work for me so the big part of my day and hopefully guys has

enjoyed this and now I'm gonna go eat this

How much Barcelona still owe Liverpool for Coutinho revealed - Duration: 3:01.

Liverpool parted company with Philippe Coutinho back in January, with the Brazilian putting pen to paper with La Liga giants Barcelona

, but included some variable clauses to be triggered over the course of his time in Spain

Liverpool also reportedly ensured a secret agreement was put in place with Barcelona over the future sale of players, to discourage the La Liga club from signing any Reds stars for the next two years

The agreement is set to last until 2020, and it remains to be seen if Barcelona do move for any of Jurgen Klopp's squad before the alleged deal has ended

As for how much Barcelona still owe Liverpool for Coutinho, the short answer is £36million, although there is no guarantee they will ever have to stump up this full amount

The money isn't to be paid in one go, instead Liverpool agreed to receive the fee in installments, which will be triggered over the course of Coutinho's time in Spain

One clause you'd expect to be met is to do with appearances, with Barcelona agreeing to pay the Reds £17million after Coutinho represents the Spanish club 100 times

Read More Mirror Football's Top Stories  This figure is to be paid out in four installments of £4

4million every time the Brazilian playmaker hits a 25-match milestone for the Camp Nou club

Currently Coutinho has represented Barcelona 29 times, meaning Liverpool have received the first of these payouts

Read More Liverpool's secret transfer 'agreement' with Barcelona after Philippe Coutinho deal  Liverpool also received another £4

4million from Barcelona after they qualified for the Champions League in Coutinho's first season at the club

They will earn this amount again should Barcelona do the same again this season - which is highly likely - and an addition £4

4million if the Catalan giants win the competition. poll loading Should Philippe Coutinho leave Barcelona? 2000+ VOTES SO FAR Yes No

Frequently Asked Divorce Questions : How much does a divorce cost? - Duration: 2:44.

My name is Patrick McGeehan and I am your best friend at your worst time

I am a South Florida criminal defense & family lawyer

I

Received a lot of questions and responsive social media posts and email

newsletters and I like to address some of those here my next question the

Fourth in this series, I believe is from Lourdes and Lourdes asks

How much does a divorce cost well to start off?

you have a filing fee a

Filing fee in miami-dade county in Circuit Court Broward County in Palm Beach County is four hundred and nine dollars

There's a summons feed that's played to the clerk of the court

that's also like the filing fee is paid to the clerk of the court summons fee is paid to the clerk of the court and

The summons fee is $10. Then you have service. The service is anywhere between 40 and 50 dollars

Sometimes 60 dollars if it's local and it's non-rush

So those are the fees that are paid to the clerk of the court and the process server

Then you have attorneys fees some attorneys do fixed fee

Cases flat fee cases and but most attorneys do and family law do hourly fee cases

With a retainer you also may have some other expenses if your case proceeds in the depositions

you'll have deposition expenses for the court reporter and for the

transcripts if you have child issues serious child child issues

You could have guardian ad litems appointed in your case, which are by the hour with a retainer

And also if you have parenting coordinators same thing by the hour and you may have other professionals which are by the hour

so as you can see, there's a wide range of expenses for cases cases, which are

uncontested and

Simple you're usually at the bottom around

$1,000 1,500 maybe to get those cases filed and get them through the other cases

It just depends on how long the case goes on

How long it progresses how little how much into?

Litigation the parties are the more litigation

and the more it odds the parties are the chances are the more expensive the case is going to be I

Hope that answered your question

Pension drawdown - How much to take and where to invest - Duration: 1:58.

Drawdown is a flexible option that lets you control how much you withdraw and

where you invest in retirement. If your investments increase in value you might

enjoy a rising income and have money left to pass to your loved ones

but if markets fall or you take out too much income too soon you could find

yourself running out of money so it's important to think about where you

invest and how much income you take

You don't have to take any income if you

don't want to after you've taken your tax-free cash you can just leave your

pension to hopefully grow. If you do want to take an income there are two main

strategies. The first is taking the natural yield this means you just take

the income or dividends that your investments produce you don't sell any

investments to fund your income but your income could still rise or fall

depending on how your investments perform. The second is drawing from

capital this means you sell investments to fund your withdrawals so this

strategy has a higher risk of running out of money. Remember any income you

take is taxable so think carefully before you take any large withdrawals

Once you've chosen whether to take any income and if so to fund it from natural

yield or from capital you can then choose investments to fit that strategy

for example if you're not taking income you might want to choose investments

that you think have good growth potential or if you're taking the

natural yield you may want to choose investments that are likely to pay a

regular income. If you're taking withdrawals from capital you might want

to choose investments that are less likely to fall dramatically in value

There's more information about the strategies for taking an income from

drawdown and some investment ideas in our guide
