Creating a Simple Watercolour Scene - Ellen Hutson Beach Lady! - Duration: 7:02.
hi it's Therese and today I'm going to be creating a really simple watercolor
scene and oh this is a little visitor and you'll see more of him at the end of
the video I've been loving these leading lady sets from the essentials by Ellen
collection and this it's called beach lady and I thought it would be really
fun to do a really simple background like a watercolor background and I'm
just simply doing a wash so I have some smooth watercolor cardstock it's a
fairly white one but I am gonna ultimately sort of cover the whole piece
of cardstock with some color not a lot of color but I don't like it
when my cards stocks don't match so by covering the whole panel it means that
my card front and the color panel won't clash alright so the hardest thing for
me is waiting for watercolor to dry and I really like the forgiveness of it as
well so if you do actually find that the colors have melded like you haven't
waited long enough which is how I sometimes do then what you can actually
do is just dab away the color with paper towel or you can add a bit of water to
it and that'll help lift it as well or we can let it dry and then add more
layers as well, it's very forgiving I just added a skyline like a beach
sort of scene here a skyline and then coming back in with some darker blue for
the water and I did actually wait for this to dry in between I was pretty good
this time and then I was able to sort of add a
couple of really subtle sort of layers of color to these to this background
I didn't want it to be perfect I just wanted this
kind of washy look in the background I think this worked out really well
okay so I've stamped my beach leading lady she comes with lots of accessories
and some really cute sentiments as well and I've stamped her in some Jet Black
archival ink which is a waterproof ink and I have used the smooth watercolor
cardstock again here I'm just mixing up my own colors on the lid of the palette
I don't bother cleaning the lid of the palette inbetween because I can
actually pick up that color again and reactivate it with some water so you're
not really wasting your colors I wanted this dress to kind of look a bit washy
and it wasn't really working because I wanted this to be stripes as well so
initially I was going to have sort of a gap in the stripes but I came back in
and actually finished painting those in and then in the end decided to add some
shading and add some water down the edges which really loosened off the
color quite a bit but she was actually really easy to color and I think she's
quite pretty I like a headband you know some people look really funky in
headbands I don't but I think some people doing I wish I could pull it off
maybe one day okay I used the coordinating dies to cut that
out and then my sentiment I was kind of wanting a bespoke sort of
sentiment so I did actually stamp it out just roughly on a piece of paper just to
give me a rough idea of how much spacing I was going to need but I'm using the
it's the Altenew tall alpha stamp set and I love that these letters are so
easy to line up and especially on the Misti I just use a piece of acetate
here to protect my watercolor panel and then once I've lined up letters I can
pick them up have a little look on the lid to make sure that they're straight
on the grid lines that are on the lid and then remove my as the tape before I
add the ink and I'm just using some onyx black ink and the beauty of the Misti is
if I don't stamp it person perfectly I can restate but I never had to I found
actually because it's a smooth watercolor cardstock it stamped out
really perfect the first time so I'm just going to attach this directly to
the front of a top fold card I have cut the panel down just smaller than the
front of the card and then I can pop my little lady up I've been creating at my
sister's house I'm still on my trip at the moment and we were so lucky to be
able to hang out with her and her family one of her cats in particular
he's hilarious his name's Ollie and he is one of those
cats that's just in your face and wants attention totally so I'll put a little
bit more footage of Ollie helping me and my sister helping me create my card
today thanks for joining me I'll be back again real soon till next time happy
Happy paper crafting. Hi Ollie! bye

Tangled Simple Present - Duration: 1:36.
Seven a.m., the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and sweep 'till the floor's all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15
And so I'll read a book
Or maybe two or three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play guitar and knit
And cook and basically
Just wonder when will my life begin?
Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
Paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess
Pottery and ventriloquy, candle making
Then I'll stretch, maybe sketch, take a climb
Sew a dress!
And I'll reread the books
If I have time to spare
I'll paint the walls some more
I'm sure there's room somewhere
And then I'll brush and brush
And brush and brush my hair
Stuck in the same place I've always been
And I'll keep wanderin' and wanderin'
And wanderin' and wonderin'
When will my life begin?
And tomorrow night

How To Keep Your Wig Right Where You Want Her ~ Simple "Tenting" Technique - Duration: 2:08.
Hi ladies it's Lee from Woman In Disguise and today I want to give you a little
tip on how to keep your wig extra secure and exactly in place where you want it
and it's so simple, and it's a method I call tenting the tabs. Now here's it's so
easy so basically you know right at the temples you have this little stiff part
of the wig cap and if you feel that there's actually a little I'll call it a
tension rod in there. but you can feel it's very stiff but also flexible. So
those are what I call, The Taps and what you want to do is, "Tent the Tabs" and by
that I mean a very simple action of basically taking my fingers and one at
the top and one on the bottom of the of that tension rod and basically squeeze
it a little bit so it makes just a little bit of a dome or what I call a
tent hence tenting the tabs and you would not
believe how that simple little movement completely just secures your wig right
in place and it makes it feel so comfortable and so just right where it's
supposed to be it doesn't poke you it doesn't make it tight it just is such a
great technique to give you that security and making sure that your hair
stays exactly where you want her to stay. So like said take her out, try it, try
to tint the tabs and see the difference at just that little bit of
movement can make. So I hope you found that helpful and please give me feedback
comments and also suggestions for topics and I really hope that you'll subscribe
to my channel and also check out the website at womenindisguise.com Thanks
and have a great day.

Clip your nails with a simple touch of a button - ClipDifferent Mission - Duration: 2:48.
Hi, my name is Tom McMullen, I'm the founder of ClipDifferent.
I noticed throughout the years that there were many markets that weren't served by standard fingernail clippers.
People with arthritis in their hands,
how do they coordinate their hands that clip their fingernails? Very difficult!
Someone who has had a stroke and maybe has less strength in one hand than the other.
We give them a safe way to clip their fingernails.
Someone who has a limb loss or a limb difference.
Someone who has lost vision, how do they clip their fingernails without cutting themselves?
I've thought about all these people all these years.
The idea got a hold of me.
I wasn't able to let it go.
Now we have our product, the Pro.
It takes fingernail clipping to a different dimension. Just like an electric
toothbrush or electric shaver or whatever,
ours is an automatic fingernail clipper.
It makes it so much easier.
Everybody I've ever seen use it for the first time gets a smile on their face.
It gives them freedom.
That's been part of my motivation.
When I end up with a chip in my nail or a slice in my nail,
then to be able to feel like I can actually take care of that myself,
it would feel sooo good.
It would simply enhance my ability to feel like I'm independent.
There are people who are always willing to help and reach across the table and cut my meat.
I realized that accepting help is a gift to myself as well as a gift to the person who is offering it.
But there is something about being able to do it for yourself that makes all the difference in the world
Here's the product. Have you ever used anything like that?
Never!
I happen to have a situation here where I have sliced my nail a little bit
and this is what I have tried to use a regular clipper on before and it's always a disaster.
So I'm very eager to try.
Here it goes!
(laughing)
Cool!
It is so smooth.
It's really amazing!
That is so cool.
I love it. I love it!
We could really use your help in furthering our mission
to get our product into the hands and the homes of people who need it.

Your help is greatly appreciated :-)
