5 simple tips to Get Your Emails Opened - Email Marketing Tips - Duration: 7:04.
hi everyone Attan here from my IM tips dot com and in today's video i'm going to
show you five simple tips on how to get your emails opened but first make sure
to subscribe to my youtube channel and hit that notification Bell to be
notified every time there is a new video uploaded
okay so we all know the importance of having your email is opened and it can
be a little bit tricky from time to time we're wondering if our list is not
engaged anymore if it is arriving in the spam folder or whatever it is but keep
in mind that your subscriber is also receiving emails from definitely
probably 10 15 or 20 more people like you so we want to be a little bit
different than the others and that's why I thought it would be a good idea to
share a few simple tips with you here today on how you can have your emails
opened so with that being said let's get started now first off we are going to
change your from email and few examples that I'm showing you here you can see
this is with my I am tips I just typed it's our turn from my IM tips and i'm
having a star symbol here so you need to change this from time to time to not
have the same all the time because people are getting used to it while it's
good for branding and be separated I think and I tested it I think it
definitely helps you to be a bit different you can see the difference on
the third one here for example where I'm using a different symbol layer it's out
time from daily list profits it's not it's a turn here it's a time from AV
mastery okay so it definitely helps to change
from time to time you're from email address tip number two using brackets in
the subject line not saying that you're going to do this all the time but you
can see here I put some brackets in stop wasting your time which definitely helps
this is a combination actually I have brackets a must-see affiliate robots
plus free traffic equals chi-ching and I also have a symbol so could be a good
idea to use this also from time to time tip number three
use a symbol or emoticon in the subject now I know that not all the symbols are
being shown depending it all depends on what kind of emails erase but usually
most of the people are having a yahoo or a gmail account and it works just great
so you can see here the first one is a fire symbol color the nice which is
really showing up and stick out there so limited time discount for example is the
subject line is live now next could be a simple like this one just an arrow which
will work on probably most of the mail accounts you're having there so and the
third one you can see here it's a thunder thunder symbol powerful methods
that will shock you of course it is very important to have a good subject line in
place I don't think it's necessary to to cover that so you definitely want to
have that next tip is creating curiosity and by curiosity you can see here have
you seen it yet have I seen what I mean I'm curious now
ok and I want to see what is it talking about so then there you have the the
opens okay the next one in or out regarding what okay I'm curious so you
want to make sure that the subject line you want to have some curiosity in there
and you see combined with the symbols definitely there is a big difference
here so we're going for number five here and the number five is questions ask
questions because there of course will help the curiosity and by asking
questions you're activating the brain on take action ok so as you can see here
the first one I have a symbol here 14 times more effective than email
marketing what could that be okay so there you have your curiosity by
asking a question and I'm activating my bimetallic my brain that I want to see
what this is all about and the next subject line is I'm asking why with
three wise three question marks and of course I'm using symbol both at the
start of the subject line and at the end of the subject line so definitely I'm
asking question I'm activating the brain and I'm curious to see what is he
talking about this crazy little guy out on here okay so let's have a quick look
again change your from email address brackets in the subject line and symbol
or emoticon in the subjects curiosity and of course questions I'm not saying
that you're going to use this on every email you're sending okay but definitely
use it in every second or third email or something like that and combined don't
play around a bit okay play with the email next one use a symbol next user
simple email so you're not using every time because people gets tired and you
want to have you want to be different on your emails all the time okay there you
have it time to get those five simple tips implemented on how to get your
emails opened if you liked this video make sure to subscribe to my youtube
channel make sure to hit that notification bell to be notified every
time there is a new video uploaded but most importantly there is a link below
in the description for my number one recommendation on how to make money
online okay that's it for today thanks a lot for watching and see you soon

My (Simple) 5 Step Process for Creating New Video Marketing Content - Duration: 6:27.
now what I say the word process what do you think of I think of bureaucracy in
very big companies I think of bosses telling in a douche their way and not
your way I think of TPS reports from office space these are all horrible
horrific things and this is when a process it's just no good however I
found that a very thoughtful process for doing things that require creativity can
actually help with getting you into that great creative flow this is why whenever
I create videos I go through this five-step process and it really helps me
deliver the best content I can possibly create here's that process hey there add
a little tip from viewership comm where I help you exponentially grow your
viewership so you can grow your business and this is really just my five-step
process for creating videos just like this and before I go into these five
steps I just want to say that I actually do these five things in five distinct
settings I like to have like one specific morning where I do the first
step and then maybe the afternoon I'll do the second step and then maybe a
couple days later I'll do step number three I don't want to rush these things
I quite frankly each one of these steps require a different mood like I need to
be in a different frame of mind so don't force yourself to do all this in one
sitting so here they are step number one is researching topics basically what are
you creating your videos about the move that you're gonna be in is just kind of
a curious mood this is really where you're gonna be creeping the internet on
what topics are already resonating with your existing audience like I always say
create content that your audience wants to hear about not what you want to
create for them so spend a lot of time researching topics use keyword planner
tool Google's keyword planner tool use all the tools at your disposal look at
your competitors YouTube channels or their LinkedIn pages to see what content
is clearly hitting home and then see where you can actually make even better
content than what they're creating and most importantly make sure that you're
solving a problem YouTube conducted a study recently they
called it the values of YouTube and what they found is that seven out of ten
people use the platform to basically solve a problem that they're having so
if you can create amazing videos that are actively solving a
problem that your prospects your customers are going through right now
you're gonna have to crush on YouTube simple as that
number to create a very basic outline of your videos this is where you're gonna
basically test your knowledge you're going to solve the problem that you've
already discovered that your prospects are having this is where I really like
to even go to like a coffee shop or even just go to a different room in my home
and just kind of sit down and brainstorm and write out some basic outlines I'll
usually do like a three-step system a five step system a seven step whatever
it is it just write that that outline of what it is that I would actually teach
to be able to solve that problem step number three is I have an outside
researcher add research to my outline I hire people to actually go through my
content and add in very useful studies useful information so that the content
is more dense and it gives it more credibility and by the way sometimes my
researcher will find information in my outline and she'll say now Adam sorry
that's actually not true anymore and because she's done this it's
actually setting me up to be even more credible in my field because I'm not
releasing outdated information I'm always completely up to date on what's
really happening in the marketplace and this is something all of you should be
thinking about when you're creating new content step number four is then
injecting emotion into the videos this is where you want to just get creative
you want to get into like a fun mood sometimes I'll put on like Michael
Jackson music again it's like a fun place move it and just like have some
fun with it and go through now the basic outline and all the research and just
think where can I add some funny moments where can I add you know kind of a story
about my life where I kind of struggled a little bit and just go through the
video and just insert a little bit of emotional component to the video this is
the part where people are really gonna connect you now for those of you who've
seen my sexy confidence videos you'll notice that I inject a lot of emotion to
those videos I'm usually like wearing a wig in some of the videos I'm usually
trying to use as much punching humor as I possibly can
sometimes as funny sometimes this is a really stupid but I do it anyways and at
first I used to struggle with this process it would make me so nervous
releasing this type of content but over time I realized that this is what people
relate to this is what people want to see they want fast paced they want funny
they want in trusting they want some that keeps their
attention and a lot of people miss this the step is injecting the emotions so if
you can do this you're gonna be so much further ahead than all of your
competition now finally number five is just go ahead
and shoot the videos now a few years ago I used to actually work with a
videographer we'd have a specific day where I'd shoot like 12 videos at a time
and we have to go there set up I'd have to bring like three different changes of
clothing to the studio and it'd be like a whole thing but ever since I built the
studio at my home this actually made this the video shooting process so much
better because I know this one thing when it comes to shooting video and that
is the better mood that I'm in the better the videos will be so sometimes
if I've had kind of like a rough day I've had a few rough emails I've had a
few rough client calls I'll put off my shoot to another day when I'm just
finally feeling really good I go to the gym I've been eating well I'm in like a
good just mental state that's when you want to shoot your videos and I really
encourage everyone who is shooting video to make sure you do when you're in that
fun playful mood right you want to have that kind of it's all about your mental
state and if your mental state is positive you're feeling good then your
videos are gonna be great you're gonna smile war you're gonna be more animated
you're gonna be more energetic so really think about that when you finally have
your shoot day make sure you're eating right sometimes you you might have a
specific day where you have to shoot video I understand not everyone has a
studio at their home but regardless make sure you eat well you go to the gym you
exercise you're feeling good and then go into it even listen to like fun music
get into that fun peak mental state your videos will be much better so there you
have it there's my five step process for shooting video I'd love to hear from all
of you what is your process are there any other components that you'd like to
add to this list please leave a comment right there below and also if you want
to learn more about how it is that you can grow your channel on YouTube to be
able to expand your business and really build that footprint online go and head
on over viewership comm and join that email list because we have a ton of
awesome goodies they can get every single week so thank you so much for
watching and I'll speak to you very soon bye bye

How To Stop Dog Vomiting After Drinking Water? Simple 4 Steps - Duration: 2:25.
Hi, Mirko here from Healthy Pet Systems.
Today I will tell you how to stop dog vomiting after drinking water.
So let's dive in.
If your dog is vomiting after drinking water these means that your dog most likely does
not get enough fluids to keep himself hydrated.
However many other things can be a problem so make sure that you visit a veterinarian.
Ok, now let's see how to stop dog vomiting after drinking water:
First, raise the dog's food bowl off the floor.
My advice is that you place the bowl on a low wall, an old chair or table.
The ideal size is that the bowl is above the dog's shoulder height.
Also, after your canine eats or drinks, it is advisable to keep him in a raised position
for 10 minutes.
Second, slow down your greedy eater.
If your pet loves to gulp food very fast, this may result in the dog starts to vomiting
later.
To deal with this problem I suggest you add rocks in your dog bowl which are too large
to swallow or buy a slow feeder platter from the store.
Third, alleviate motion sickness.
Dogs can sometimes suffer from motion sickness.
If you feed your dog before traveling in a car then vomiting is not rare situation.
Fourth, seek the help of your vet.
The best thing you can do is consult your pet doctor.
In such a case, your veterinarian may determine other problems that might occur.
Before you go to the vet I suggest you look at the dog vomit and make a note of the vomit
appearance.
This can help vet a lot.
To find out more, I created a great guide about dog vomiting.
In it, you will find how to stop dog vomiting, top 16 reasons why my dog is vomiting, how
can I stop my dog from vomiting in the car, what to do for dog who is vomiting, how can
I induce vomiting in a dog, and a lot more.

Editing Landscape Photography in 5 minutes | Keeping Lightroom Simple! (Part 2) - Duration: 8:36.
yes let's keep Lightroom simple if you think that editing landscape photography
with lighroom it's a very complicated process and it's very long this video is
for you because we are going to work just with one panel the basic panel and
we will try to edit a photo in less than five minutes
welcome to my channel here
I talk about photography and I also make videos just like this one where I share
some editing tips so if you are here for the first time it might be a good idea
to subscribe this is part 2 of the mini series of three videos that I made to
help you guys creating a very simple and easy-to-follow workflow to edit your
landscape photography in Lightroom if for any reason you missed part one I
strongly recommend you to watch it first it's right here and I will put a link in
the description as well
all right let's start the editing process if you saw last week video part
1 of these miniseries you know that I usually take care
first of all of 5 adjustments that will prepare my raw file for editing I did
that already so if you don't know what to do go back to that video and check it
out otherwise if you're ready we will start of course from the develop module
and as you can see I already have opened the basic panel because today my goal is
to try to edit this photo in less than 5 minutes
just using one panel the the basic panel let's go the very first thing that we do
in the basic panel is to pick the right color profile by default Adobe Lightroom
will give you the standard profile you can see by clicking on the grid which
are the different options available and by hovering over you see the difference
I usually like to use either the landscape or the color profile let's go
with the landscape profile by the way this photo is taken in Iceland this is
Hvitserkur I'm not sure about the pronunciation this is a very interesting
rock formation that is in the northwest of Iceland I'm here just before sunset
unfortunately I don't have a fantastic light nevertheless I used the 10 stops
ND filter to have these 178 179 seconds long exposure f/16 ISO 200 and I
used f/16 rather than the usual f/8 or f/11 because I'm very very close to
these rocks in the foreground and I wanted to make sure that they were
in focus and because I used a neutral density filter in this case is the Lee
filters big stopper so it's 10 stops of neutral density filter the image has a
blue cast so a very important thing we need to do is to make sure to get the
right white balance to do so I will actually open the left panel because
when I pick the target tool and I go to search for my neutral target I can see a
preview on the left corner to see if that will actually correspond to what I
saw when I took the photo then you want to make sure to pick either a gray a
black or white pure black pure white in order to make sure that you have the
right white balance let's go for this one looks good I will keep it and now I
can close the Left panel before we move on I want to point out at the histogram
as you can see I have a lot of details on the right okay so my video about
exposing to the right these will guarantee that even when I bring up the
shadows I will not increase the noise of this
long exposure although this istagram looks good I want to expand it to the
maximum and to do so I will hold the shift key double click on white and
double click on black and so the whites and the blacks of the images will be
extended to the limit without clipping the zero and the 100 value in this way
over the widest histogram possible and now I can work with my highlights and I
will decrease the highlights a little bit I will increase the shadows and here
looks good
and I will increase my contrast now that the tone and the exposure of the picture
looks the way I like I will go and work in the colors and here in the bottom of
the basic panel we'll find the clarity which I will increase just a tiny bit
the clarity is the contrast of the mid-tones so just don't go crazy with it
you see if I go to 100 this image looks completely surreal but just adding a
little bit it's fine I will not touch the Dehaze for this picture and instead
I will increase the vibrance and the vibrance is the saturation of the most
muted colors while the saturation will increase the saturation to every single
color at the same time and I will actually add a little saturation right
now we can see the before and after as you can see just using the basic panel
and a lot less than five minutes we could dramatically change the raw file
we start with but but you did see the thumbnail which I will show it right now
it looks different right this image stands out more it has more character I
would say it pops and this is exactly what we are going to talk about next
week in fact the last video of this Lightroom editing mini series is
dedicated to how make your images pop also if you like to be challenged I
encourage you to watch next week video as in that video I'm going to suggest a
photo edit assignment photo edit challenge that will push you to use all
the tips and techniques that I have been sharing in these three videos and really
curious to see the results especially to understand if these videos are
actually effective and this is all for today I hope you enjoyed this video I
hope these videos are useful for you and if they are I'll be very happy
if you can like this video share with your friends of course leave me a
comment and subscribe if you didn't yet but if you did subscribe you can
actually hit the bell in order to get notifications every time I post a new
video thanks for watching and I will see you in the next one

How To Get Free Traffic To Your Website - Simple Traffic Solutions 2018 - Duration: 8:29.
How To Get Free Traffic To Your Website - Simple Traffic Solutions 2018
Peer traffic versus free traffic which is best
Will come with me and I will show you exactly why free traffic is the way to go. Just give me one second
That's not my thing. So
Okay, so we're gonna get in the car
And we're gonna go for a little Drive into the office. So let me just get in the car
So as I said, PA truck traffic versus free traffic and
I want to start by telling you a little story. I
Have tried all of the peer traffic techniques out there just about every single one and
Sometimes if I was lucky I broke even sometimes
But most of the time I lost money and and then one dear Google
Decided to ban me overnight
The night this happened it actually. Yeah. It happened when there was a lot of marketers banned literally overnight
and I'm sure you've heard of dermal slaps and
Basically, that's what happened. Yeah, simply
Didn't want in an internet marketers type of business. They didn't want that didn't want our business or two things happened
you either got banned or
Your PA per click campaigns were priced so high that you just simply couldn't peer for the clicks, you know
clicks went from something like 50 cents to
$10 per click it just wasn't worth doing and
so Google for me has never really worked and I
Haven't really found anyone who made a success of Google AdWords any internet marketer or anyone whom it does what we do
And haven't really found anyone who's got that to work
Consistently and for the amount of time and then you have to put in a set Campion's up testings get ads approved
You know, is it really really worth it?
And it's a sim with Facebook. And in fact, I
Predict a big Facebook slap coming. It's getting harder and harder to get ads approved and
the Facebook ad system
If you've ever gone in there
You know you can you you're looking at your Facebook account and Facebook will tell you yeah
Make money promoting your page and you go. Oh, yeah have a look and
It's crazy. It's crazy. How complicated it is
So peak traffic for me was not an option because for one Google banned me and for two Facebook were making it
absolutely impossible
So I'm going to show you when we get to my office. I'm going to show you why
Free traffic is a weird decor and how free traffic has
Generally, basically M enabled me to earn millions and millions of dollars online
So when we get to the office, I'll show you exactly how I do it
Welcome to the office and before which I'm on the computer
and I just want to sort of explain what happened after Google ban me and
basically, I could no longer be a per traffic because back then when it actually happened Facebook advertising wasn't really as big as
It is now. So I
Literally have to start learning how to generate traffic on my own
And the thing is this was a blessing in disguise because had Google not bind me
I would have kept trying to find ways to media traffic work
so I basically had to learn how to drive my own traffic all my business was going to feel and that is exactly
What I did, so when we jump on the computer, I'm going to show you exactly the sort of results I get
Driving my own traffic
Okiya now we are on the computer. I just want to show you some
Various traffic stats from some of my websites now the stats we are looking at here are for my domain John Thornhill
calm
Most of these visitors are going to my blog not all of these visitors
But most of these videos visitors are hitting my blog and you can see, you know most months
It's quite consistent apart with a little you know, Orani. We're not all the way through September but yet it's a most months
It's usually around the 20
thousand visits per month mark
So, I mean that's about what that was six seven hundred visitors per tear all 100% free traffic got hits
You know a lot of our hits my blog
And when people get to my blog obviously they read the content
I've got to distribute and you know the articles I write except I put a lot of the stuff
I write does conte and affiliate links which then goes to affiliate related offers and
Also, I promote my own products and services there
so obviously all of this traffic is highly highly valuable traffic and a lot of that traffic turns in to sales and
I also want to show you
The traffic stats for similar traffic solutions calm the site you are on right this minute
You know
You know
you are one of these visitors that's showing up on these stats right now and again and
This is quite consistent around the $5,000 mark. We had a big spike in August
I'm guessing and we had a lot of affiliate traffic that month put
The thing I want to point out here is I do nothing to get this traffic
Nothing at all. And this traffic just comes in
And obviously a lot of our traffic is turned into sales again. It is 100%
Free traffic. Okay, and I do want to show you this stunt as well. This is from a full of products
I've been promoting for a number of years
Okay
and this is for day nine hosting and it's a hosting company that I use and I recommend now because of my
Recommendations I you know I drive traffic to day nine from various places
Obviously my gonna disclose everything on this video because that's what you have to you
That's what you'll learn once you get inside simple Traffic Solutions
But um, you know, those numerous locations that I'm sending traffic from on on autopilot
I don't lift a finger and you can see I sent
Seventeen thousand three hundred nineteen clicks to Danang
and I managed to get one thousand four hundred twenty five customers after near point two or three percent conversion and
The important thing you need to see let me just I don't destroy everything he about them, you know
Thirty six thousand four hundred seventy dollars in commissions that I have been peered. Okay again, this is from
100% free traffic and remember this is just one of the many many offers a time promoting and I also want to show you
My sales on jvzoo. Okay, and this is my the total sales admin on jvzoo
I've been using jvzoo for around three years now and you can see we've done over half a million dollars in sales
We drove eight hundred and sixty thousand visitors that have generated over thirty thousand seals
And again, I must stress. This is 100%
Free traffic and if you just looked down the right-hand side you can see you know
The amount of money a lot of this traffic is making your care and you know
Silly amounts of money that obviously adds up to over half a million dollars and that's just as a vendor on jvzoo
All saw as an affiliate on jvzoo. I've generated over four hundred and fifty thousand dollars. So I've actually generated over 1 million
Dollars in total sales on jvzoo again three hundred and seventy seven
Thousand visitors so I've drove well over 1 million visitors
through the govt zoo platform again our
100%
free traffic and again if I scroll down and see, you know lots and lots of things and I you know
I promoted and sold over the years. Okay. So remember the thing I want to stress here is and
All of the traffic that I generate is 100% free. Okay, inside simple traffic solutions. You will learn
Every single traffic generation technique that I use. Ok. You learn how I'm driving traffic to govt zoo office
You'll learn how I'm driving the traffic to and the d9 affiliate offer
You'll see how I get their thousands and thousands of hits per month to my website
Everything is revealed inside similar traffic solutions
So hopefully this is going to convince you to jump on board and hopefully I'm going to see you

Little by little, the techniques are learned and you find the most suitable products for you.
The trick from the first moment is to apply the different products in small quantities and blend well.
This way, if you need to apply a little more, you won't run the risk of exceeding it. Practice will give you all these skills and the necessary confidence.
How do you learn the best makeup routine if you're a novice?.
These steps can serve as a guide to use makeup the first few times. Then, little by little, you can change and techniques according to your taste.
In any case, following them will always be a great help, since they don't vary much.
Let's see what to do:.
Cleanse and moisturize your skin.
This is one of the most important steps since it will help you to apply makeup better without neglecting the care of your skin.
By applying a light touch of moisturizing lotion on your clean face, (before you start applying makeup), you will look fresher.
Makeup products (such as bases and compact powders) tend to dry the skin, so it's very important to moisturize.
This way, you'll avoid the harm that makeup produces when applied directly on the face.
In addition, moisturizing your skin helps control facial oil.
Clean your face with soap and water.
Dry well by dabbing (that is, without scrubbing).
Then, apply a little moisturizing lotion on your face and neck area.
Let the lotion absorb and then proceed to apply your base.
Makeup foundation for a novice.
Once your skin is ready, apply a foundation. Try to match your natural skin tone so that the makeup looks perfect.
To do this, you must mix a light base with a dark one.
Put a little light base on the back of your hand.
Add only one drop of dark base.
Mix until you reach your skin color.
Apply in small amounts with your finger in the form of points all over the face.
Then, blend it all over your face and neck.
Concealer for dark circles.
This is of utmost importance if you have dark circles that you want to cover or some imperfection that you want to conceal.
Ideally, you should choose a concealer that's a shade lighter than the color of your base.
You can apply it with your finger and then blend it all over your face until it's even.
Apply powder to set.
After the concealer that you put on in the previous step, apply a compact or loose powder.
You can apply it with a brush, taking just a little and spreading the product all over your face.
You can also do it with a sponge. The trick is to spread it with circular movements.
The perfect makeup eyes if you're a novice.
Eyebrows.
They are the frame of your face.
Use shadows about two shades lighter than the color of your hair.
Apply over the entire eyebrow, fading it.
Eyelids. Use earth tones if you're a beginner.
Apply the shadow with a brush or finger evenly across your eyelid.
Eyelid base. In this place where the eyelid ends, apply a brown tone to give depth.
Eyeliner.
Undoubtedly, this is the most delicate step of makeup for novices.
Contour the top edge of your eye with black eyeliner.
The ideal is to start by using pencils, since it will be easier for you.
Eyelashes.
In this step, you will use mascara.
The objective is to lengthen them and give them volume.
Don't forget the bottom eyelashes!.
Blush. This is also called rouge.
It's used to highlight your cheekbones, give structure to your face and, of course, prevent you from looking pale.
To apply it, you'll need a thick brush.
To put it on correctly, you must make any of the following facial expressions and you will know the exact place of application: You can make a fish mouth and put it in the sunken part that forms in your cheeks.
Another trick is to smile and shade the protruding part.
Color for your lips.
Finally, give a little color to your lips to make them more showy.
To do this, use matte tones or light colors to give a fresh and natural look.
Apply with a finger in small amounts and then blend it to get a uniform color.
If you want, you can apply lip gloss so they're more noticeable.

Relieving chronic Lyme disease symptoms with one simple tool - Duration: 15:25.
All right
Hello everybody. My name is Lauren Stegenga
and I'm so excited to bring a special guest to Empowering the Village today and really what we're doing is
Bringing awareness to amazing people amazing businesses that are really impacting our community. There's so many different ways
Really with the same mission of empowering people through wellness whether that's mind, body, or spirit and there's so many different
approaches so I
Wanted to introduce my guest, Shona Curley from Red Kite Meditations, correct?
Shona so thank you for coming on and the impact that you've had with the Lyme disease community
is really what I saw and I just wanted to bring you on and so excited to speak to you to
Thank you for coming on
So could you just start and just tell us about you and the red kite meditations and what that really is bringing to the community
Absolutely, so I've had mine for a bit. I think I got it in 2013. That's when I was bitten by a tick.
I didn't get sick for a little while. It sort of came on slowly. But now I've been in treatment for over a year
but before I knew that I had Lyme I started treating myself through meditations to
sort of reharmonization
Systems in my own body that I felt were so affected by whatever it was that was going on
So by last year before I was diagnosed I had written six
relatively long meditations each of which focuses on a different physiological system from the lymphatic system
To liver kidney detox to softening the vagus nerve and soothing anxiety. And insomnia
And various others the immune system, bone marrow and all of those systems
They were the places in my own body that I felt and by the disease and then when I was actually diagnosed with Lyme
It was a huge relief a because I finally knew that I wasn't insane
And also when I started to research Lyme disease it was validating because all of these systems are very much affected by one
So what I was sensing on an internal level was absolutely true
And it was at that point that I started feeling like I should put these out there for other people
especially as I read how many other people especially women are affected by Lyme disease and
particularly, the insomnia and anxiety at Lyme chronic Lyme can create
So it's my mission through recognitions
Just to share
meditative and movement tools that have helped me and my healing process and that continue to help me because treatment
Is such a long story it's not like oh, I finally got a diagnosis. So in two weeks and I'm going back to work
It's a little different now because you have that
Diagnosis. Yeah, I mean it's a weight off your shoulders to know what's wrong and it's also
Quite a long journey to find your way back to healing and what healing is may not look exactly like it
was before you got Lyme disease
so I
Want my website to be a resource for people as they go through the long journey of treatment and to help them on the days
They don't have an IV or they don't have a lymphatic massage
It's something you can do, the meditations in particular something you can do when your nervous system is just freaking out
You need extra help.
You need a little extra help. Yeah, and it's interesting because you know during treatments
Those are that specific time, so I remember you mentioning where
so obviously that insomnia is when you're trying to be sleep, and so those
Meditations are really available to you at any time of the day because it's it's not just you had a good day
it's sometimes you had a good hour.
So you mentioned about retraining the body, could you tell us about that process?
Retraining the brain you mean? Yes, when you were talking about the meditations and retraining. Oh I see so like retraining the systems, the physiological systems
Yeah, I think if that really is brain retraining
Because all of the systems are responsive to the brain essentially the brain is sort of master organizer
so and unfortunately with Lyme disease the brain can be so affected especially with neuro lyme and the
anxiety that that causes
And the systems themselves can be infected by the bacteria. So you have kind of a double whammy
With the bacteria and then the brain having a hard time organizing because of the infection. So for me the meditations are way
to
Help my brain
Figure out how to find a way back to homeostasis for those systems like if my
You know for a lot of one for just an example, my liver was really just not able to function it
Just wasn't, it was overwhelmed by the toxicity that the bacteria create and it just would feel like a sort of inner lump
It just wasn't doing its job it just couldn't handle it
so by using the meditation the liver meditation the detox liver and kidney meditation really brings heat into the liver and kidneys.
By using that image of fire and heat and sort of penetrating
Burning sensation, that would be good that would come into the liver. It just enlivened that tissue and felt good. It's like a good fire
Wow that's
Brilliant
It works which is just amazing thing on earth that you can visualize these systems and they respond
And especially during in between sessions and treatments and whatever you're doing on your journey. That's
what I thought what when you're talking about that is the simplicity of it where if you don't have
Clarity in the brain at that moment
What you're offering the community is a really simple tool where you just press play
and
you don't have to do it by yourself. Right. Because even you know, I have a lot of and
experiencial anatomy physiology
But for me if I would wake up in the middle of the night and be having a panic attack
I couldn't do it by myself
even with all the training that I have so I
Reported these meditations for myself first and I would just play them at 3 a.m. or
4 a.m. Or whenever it was that I would just be really struggling and alone and they worked
It helps my nervous system. And that's the key whether you understand meditation or not, the key is that it works! You don't have to understand it. That is the brillance of it
Could you talk about
the ability for the thoughts to change the physical body and kind of how
the brain and the body kind of work together because that's really powerful and I just want people to understand the
connection and at least from your perspective
Well, I think it's a bit mysterious looking honestly, I think that science
Absolutely does not understand it completely yet. The only thing that we can say is that it actually does work and
one of the ways that
Science has actually been able to look at this is and this is how I first started exploring it was through dance and movement
So I was a dancer in my twenties and thirties and we were taught from the viewing like in college
We were taught that there is something called armchair rehearsal if you lay back
And you had a difficult sequence of movement that you wanted to perfect. You could run through it in your mind
the way you
wanted it to feel, the grace and power that you wanted to express through the movement and all of your motor nerves would fire the
Same pathways as they would fire if he were actually dancing. So armchair reversal is actually in some cases
better than
Actual physical rehearsal because in physical rehearsal you might be struggling and your brain might not be able to find that smoothness or that grace
But if you imagine it your motor nerves would figure out how to do that for you and when you stood up and did it
again, it would be
Doable and I just so blown away by that in college my early 20s and how will it work and we all did it
performing we all
Integrated that into a rehearsal project process because it was so effective
And I took that into now
You know for a long time I did rehabilitation wouldn't work with people and still do that through my Pilates studio
So that was about if you have a muscle that is not firing
That's just not wired up to your brain anymore because of injury you can imagine it firing
I believe that motor sensory connection will start to fire again and the same thing is true for
Physiology if you have a liver that just isn't really working or you have a lymphatic system that is overburdened and not able to flow
by using the imagery by using the
feeling imagery of what it would be like if it were flowing if things were moving well and
Those images don't have to be cellular physiological. They can be poetic like amazingly there's such an
Intricate neural connection between the brain and the body regardless of what part of the body or system you're talking about
The brain is linked. It's woven in it's all the same as you use that imagery the systems respond and
you know now I do quite a bit of bodywork with people I work with people that have lung disease and
If we sit there in my hands on their head and they're imagining their lymph starting to flow through their brain
And I'm imagining it. I mean, it's just immediate you can feel it start to move
They can feel it start to move and the same thing is true for meditation. Wow, that is dynamic.
This is a magic tool that lives inside of each of us and we can use it to help heal chronic illness
And I when you're talking about it, it's like Lyme disease is obviously impacted your own personal life
I could see this helping so many people just with that commonality of
Chronic disease or you just aren't sure why things aren't working. I mean you mentioned the liver
The liver has just a few jobs
Poor thing I know so yeah anything you can do to just
nurture that and so if it's simply by pressing play for a meditation
That's such a gift especially the people. Yeah, yeah
amazing responses from people who are able to sleep without drugs, you know and feel their anxiety decrease and that just is
What I live for at this point
Yeah, is there for the viewers, is there anything just a message of hope that you would like to leave them
During, if they're having a rough day
Or just something that helped you through this time.
Think just that you're not alone. There are so many people suffering with Lyme disease right now. It's really
one of the I think one of the biggest issues
of our time in terms of health and I think we feel alone because conventional
medicine doesn't recognize us yet, but
There's a lot of people going through the same process and the same journey and it's long and it's challenging
It's emotional. It's intense
Yeah
It's a journey. I mean, it's I mean, honestly, I think it's a spiritual journey and if you can find your way through
Everyday you're doing it. You are doing it
With you and love you doing the process
Yeah, and it is just the nurturing I've just coming together and I love your message it's you are not alone
No matter what you're going through you're not alone. I love that. That's a great message of hope
and your voice matters to you know your
It doesn't matter if modern medicine hasn't caught up yet and you're a voice and you're in fact even more your voice and experience matter
Could you speak about,
kind of the myths or
Misunderstanding I know the community I am involved in some of the families don't understand
Because some we often misdiagnosed so once I actually do get a diagnosis about of Lyme
you know, it's like oh
I'm not being lazy. I really I have no energy
It's I hear that very often and so is there anything you can share about just the family
finding their way to understand a little bit more of what's going on with that person
Actually, that's very difficult. But just because of the fact that it takes so long to diagnose and there's so little
Cultural and medical support for the experience of Lyme disease sufferers. I
Mean, I think it's a burden for the families of people with Lyme and I mean not to be underestimated
It's very hard to see the person that you love suffering and to not understand
Why you can't just call the doctor and ask for help? Why don't they help you?
and you know
I think it's gonna change in the next 10 years or so cuz there's just too many people
Getting sick for it not to cause a shift. Yeah, but for now, I mean, I think that
parents of children with Lyme disease husbands and wives with Lyme disease and vice versa
Families of people with Lyme disease need support and you know, they are also not alone. It's a horrible disease
It's it's brutal. It's chronic. It does not give up without a fight
It leaves you changed, you know, and I think people with Lyme deserve just as much support as patients with mime honestly
It's yeah my poor husband has
It's been a long haul for him
You want to divorce me? It's okay.
I get it, I won't take it personal. You didn't sign up for this and neither did I
Oh my gosh, tight and thin
How can people reach you and learn more about
You know what you offer in your journey my site, is redkitemeditation.com. Yeah, and I
Have referred people to your site
Over and over again because it's really about the simplicity of it
You know when it's in between sessions or in between treatments and whatnot. It's simply press play
It's really dynamic
Thank you so so much
I am so grateful to come across you and and I'm grateful that you were able to spend some time with us and
hear what you have to offer so
Thank you. Thank you everybody for tuning in and
We will see you next time
