How to make vegan lotion bars, only two ingredients and super simple! - Duration: 1:55.

Today I'm making lotion bars with some of my silicone molds.

You can also use the molds for chocolate covered cookies, but they're the right size for lotion bars that fit into a 2 ounce container.

Super simple...The recipe is 1 part cocoa butter and 1 part shea butter

You can add some essential oils for fragrance or leave them unscented.

The recipes I tried with oils were too soft, but this combination works well and is portable.

Put the two ingredients in a pyrex container and melt in the microwave, using 15-30 second bursts on high.

Pour the melted butters into the mold and let them set up.

You can put these on a tray in the fridge to speed the cooling process.

When they set up, this is what they look like.

They fit in a 2 ounce container so you can carry them.

When you rub them on your skin they melt and provide a good layer of protection from dry air.

They smell good with just the cocoa butter so no added fragrance is needed!

Super easy!

Post any questions, and like this video :)

3 simple pen tricks to Impress your friends. Pen Spinning explained. - Duration: 9:51.

So, you want to amaze your friends or people around, I mean, completely blow their minds.

You wanna make them say "What the hell?" and know, that 98% of them are not going to

be able to do anything so simple and complicated at the same time ever.

I often use this trick whenever I want to impress a person in front of me, it works

most of the time and adds a tiny cool looking details to impression I want to make on people.

Yeah, and also it is something to busy out your fingers and yourself when you are bored,

just passing the time with pleasure and with use, mastering the trick with a simple pen

wherever you are and whenever you want.

OK, no more extra words, let's get started, it is going to be a looooong journey to ruling

the world, and first of all this is how the trick looks.

Let's say, you need to sign a document, or right your telephone number on some girl's

card, you take your pen: "Oh, that's a wrong side, I can't write, holding a pen

like this!"

People around begin oohing and aahing, grab their heads, one of them falls into a faint,

you raise your hand calming everyone down and do this

Wiper 12-23 -> Sonic 23-12 PD -> TA Looks pretty simple, doesn't it?

No, just kidding, this looks really difficult, but awesome, most of cool things are difficult,

otherwise everybody could do them and they wouldn't be so awesome.

And now – here is how I've done this, look closely and try to repeat.

First of all take your pen by its cap side between Thumb and Index finger, close to its

end, so the bigger part with writing ink would look up, like this.

Hold your fingers firmly, but don't tense them.

Wrist turned Palm Side, the rest of your fingers are also relaxed, Middle is up a bit and Ring

with Pinky are a bit down, you will need some space for pen to go and land on your Ring

finger.

So you may straighten Middle and bend Ring and pinky a little, the main thing is – Ring

should be under your pen.

Now make a sharp movement with your hand forward and back, at the same time loosening a hold

of your fingers.

Tricky thing here is to adjust grip of your Index and Thumb, so pen could move freely

between them and at the same time wouldn't fall on a table.

When pen goes down, it should land on your Ring Finger, and when it will – put your

Middle above it, so now the pen is between Ring and Middle fingers.

Now turn your hand Palm Down and get ready.

That's the point where most of you, guys, are going to rage quit and leave more fresh

air for the rest.

You need to do this movement.

When your pen landed on Ring finger and was placed between Middle and Ring fingers, position

looks like this – Ring finger is down, under the pen, Middle is up – above it.

Pen is athwart to fingers with writing ink looking aside, away from you.

You hold a pen pretty much close to its center.

You need to do pretty sharp movement with 3 of your fingers.

Ring should go up, like throwing your pen up, out of fingers.

At the same time Middle should push pen down, so they switch places together, and as you

may see, pen flies away from your hand.

You also need to try to adjust force, needed to do this movement.

If you practice for awhile you could make pen spin on your Middle finger, like this.

It would be helpful, but would require some time to be able to perform confidently.

I will show you a more simple way to continue the trick.

So when you throw pen away, while letting your Ring go up and your Middle – down,

you will also need to raise your Index and connect it with your Ring, like this.

It would lock up your pen.

What you need to do is – throw the pen over your middle, so it would land in slot between

Index and Middle fingers.

Try to do this for awhile and if you feel there is still a big with doing it – go

and watch a video tutorial for Sonic trick in Pen Spinning – link in the description

under this video.

It would give you more clear idea of how to do it easier.

Sonic – remember, I have a really detailed tutorial for this trick on Pen Stock.

Anyway it is going to take you at least 1 hour – minimum, if you are a hidden genius

in Pen Spinning and didn't know that so far.

Look, at this point you hold a pen between Index and Middle fingers, at its center, with

ink looking away from you.

Index is above your pen, Middle is placed under, Palm Down, just like this.

Now turn your wrist Palm Side, and as you do it, bend fingers a little closer to Thumb

and also move Thumb closer to the rest of them, under the pen.

You can practice this movement for some time from the part when you hold pen between Ring

and Middle to the part when you turn your wrist Palm Side.

As you can see, this is pretty close to writing position, probably we can try to write something.

"No, that doesn't work, that's just dumb!

Alex, what the hell?

I went through so much pain trying to learn all this sh and now I can't even write a

single word properly?!"

Don't worry, pal, here goes the fix.

So you hold a pen this way with Middle finger under it.

Make sure to place Thumb closer to the cap of the pen.

Now you need to switch places of you Index and Middle.

Index goes up as Middle grabs your pen and you are left in such a position.

Now all you need to do is shift Thumb even closer to the cap, almost to the end of the

pen, push pen with your Middle finger at its center just as if you were pressing the trigger

and at the same time push it with your Thumb.

You need to turn the pen over your Thumb.

Without a pen this movement of your fingers should look somewhat like this.

Again, the tricky thing is – to adjust force of your pressing, so it would be enough for

the pen to go around Thumb, but not too much, so it would stay within your hand.

If you stuck at this point – go and check out a separate video tutorial for ThumbAround

trick in Pen Spinning on my channel – Pen Stock – link in the description under this

video on YouTube.

And as you see, now we are good to write, pen is in writing position, audience applauses,

somebody here and there whistles and cry bravo.

Just like we all wanted it to be.

Again, you should remember, that percentage of people go would manage to go so far with

this trick is extremely small, even if you share this video with your friends, which

I totally recommend you to do right now, if you still haven't done that yet for some

weird reason.

So even if you share it, they would go like WTF?

More than 98% will never be able to do it, to get pleasure of process, take part in games

and competition, not because it is very hard, it is just for certain amount of people in

the whole world.

A very small amount of people actually.

So we are the chosen ones, magicians.

Just shy of 4-5 hundreds year ago they would want to put us on fire, thank's God we live

in such an enlightened age, when people can spend time playing Fortnite and learning tricks

with pens, by the way it has cool mental bonuses and develops your fine motor skills, in contrast

to Fortnite.

And if you watched this video till this point – wow, that's a nice approach, write down

«Переподвыпереверт» in the comment section below this video, so we

would know, how many of you guys are patient and consistent.

Hit the Subbscribe button if you want to learn much-much more than that, you know, it is

only a ground, basic level of pen spinning.

Also, if you are pissed off because you can't really accomplish this trick, but really want

to do it – go and get special tool on https://penstock.net In this video I've showed how to do the

trick with a simple pen, and frankly speaking it is not that simple as it is with a pen

mod with a good length, weight and balance.

Don't forget to push the bell button after you subscribed to Pen Stock, if you are watching

this right now – you should definitely do it, that's the best channel about Pen Spinning

without any doubts.

I am Alex Sukhov, may the style be with you, bye!

Discover what Mindful Self-Compassion Is In Simple & Accessible Terms - Duration: 16:33.

Kathryn Lovewell: Hello and welcome, to Kind Mind Academy, it's Kathryn Lovewell here again,

and we've got another opportunity for a quarter of an hour gentle dive into understanding

Mindful Self-compassion.

So today it's I'm going to use a very, very simple analogy and before I dive into that

exercise which I think encapsulates beautifully what MSC is all about, I would like to first

honor and acknowledge doctors Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer.

So everything that I'm talking about is based from their research, from their clinical expertise.

They are the ones that have created the course that I teach; it's an eight-week course or

a five-day intensive.

And I just wanted to honor them because this is not my brainchild and the exercises and

some of the meditations and the ways in to being and living a more Self-Compassionate

life are all from this magical work.

It has significantly changed my internal landscape from quite a -- well quite an understatement,

a very critical, perfectionist approach to life maybe not on the outside but definitely

on the inside.

So even though I have a best-selling book even though I have a very good degree, even

though I have and this can go on and on lots of external achievements inside there was

still a boy staying.

So what?

You're still not good enough, and the striving energy, which the nuances of MSC start to

address over time, starts to lessen and it's really softened in my life.

So no matter where you are with how you are with yourself, I do believe Mindful Self-compassion

can make profound difference in your life -- whether you're perceived to be successful

on the outside or not; whether you're perceived to be excelling or not it really doesn't matter,

what's important is this internal life and they've entered it a little bit today.

So thank you very much for joining it's lovely to see some of you online already.

Before we go into that exercise, I would like to just have a gentle soft landing the experienced

one last week I'll make this one a little bit shorter maybe just from one minute.

As we have precious time together, and I know time is precious and the beauty of MSC is

that we can learn to savor the time that we have in our day and if you care to join me

you're very welcome to enjoy this brief moment, it's pressing pause in all of this busyness,

this hectic life that we need.

So if it feels comfortable for you simply close your eyes or you can just gently bow

your head or soften your gaze.

You may like to take a few slow breaths in and out.

Just noticing the breath, you may notice some sounds in the room that you're eating or maybe

outside of the room and just let those sounds gently land on your ears; you don't need to

go searching for anything.

Literally giving yourself a moment and if the mind is busy let that be totally okay.

Heal yourself softly, cooling down on the day.

You can allow yourself to let's gently return back to this moment with me with the sound

of a bell.

Lovely.

So this is hopefully a feeling more refreshed now or at least a little softer around the

edges, and I have a simple question for you -- how do you treat a friend?

Now let me narrow this down to a particular challenge.

Just think about various times that maybe you've had a friend who was struggling in

some way; maybe they failed at something, maybe they feeling inadequate about something

so they're really having a bit of a tough time.

Just consider how do you treat them they come to you and they're feeling rotten.

What do you say to them and what term do you use just have a looking reflection you may

like to write it down, if you're watching this is a recording you can press pause and

really empty out we would ordinarily spend a lot longer on this exercise.

Now what do you treat a friend?

They found feeling it out of course something's gone wrong, very good.

Okay.

And now I'd like you to imagine you're turning the page fresh into paper, return to neutral

maybe take a nice deep breath and I'd like you to consider this.

How do you treat yourself when something's gone wrong?

Maybe you've struggled with something, maybe you failed it something, maybe you're feeling

inadequate.

How do you speak it to yourself and what tone do you use?

So again, if you're listening to this as a recording press pause really contemplate.

What does that sound like inside your head?

What's the tone like what words do you use?

Really, get curious and know that when we are exploring this there is no judgment Mindful

Self-compassion is not about judgment it's about compassion, acceptance, opening and

warming to water showing up.

So we're getting some answers coming through thank you for sharing yes much harsher when

speaking to myself typically not kindly telling off.

So absolutely when I did this exercise I was genuinely shocked I could have written pages

and pages for the letter, the judgments, the criticisms.

Yes, thank you.

Paul is saying I would be gentle and understanding and passionate that's a real sense of kindness

to others, but me critical.

So if you have discovered the same and you'll have different nuances add to that criticism,

please know that you are not alone and this is a very, very important aspect of Mindful

Self-compassion, the common humanity element.

That we are not alone in our suffering and these statistics, which are very interesting,

Kristin Ness preliminary data, suggests that 78% of people are significantly more compassionate

towards others than they are themselves.

That's nearly three-quarters of the population that also struggle with that in critic, that

also struggle with being kind to yourself when something goes wrong.

So if you had quite a different quite a contrast in that internal voice, please know you're

not alone; and what's exciting and this is why I chosen to start sharing on Facebook

about MSC is that it can change.

I never imagined it would be possible and it can change.

So three years on that in a critical voice just is not there in the same way maybe protective,

maybe it'll pull me up occasionally but if there is a kindness a softness, a gentleness,

a compassionate voice inside my head to know no matter how much I failed although difficult

time finding something.

I treat myself with friendliness.

So the simplest definition I want to leave you with and this is why I wanted to start.

You know it's early days, it's only our second MSC Facebook live with a really tangible accessible

simple definition of MSC because there's lots of science behind it.

There's lots of research and there's lots of conceptual information that I could share

with you in the early days, but actually I feel it's so, so much more helpful to have

a tangible experience of it; and to have that clear defined difference that contrast.

But of course I'd look after my friend, of course I would be patient with them, of course

I would be tender and kind and gentle and reassuring and so on and so forth.

Oh but me well pull myself pull my socks up you know give myself a talking-to whatever

it is.

So having that tangible contrast I feel it's much more helpful in the early days to really

recognize how and why you might benefit from Mindful Self-Compassion either with an intensive

retreat there's one coming up in June or during an eight-week course that I do making certain

with.

So the simplest definition is treating ourselves with the same kindness as we would treat a

friend when things go wrong.

So hopefully that's been really, really helpful.

I have just a couple more moments, thank you for the thumbs up.

Just to share a beautiful poem I found today, and this it's just a light working its simplicity

and it's beautiful and hopefully will encourage you to consider being kinder and remembering

that you are enough just as you are.

This is called Enough by David White.

Enough, these few words are enough.

If not these words, this breath, if not this breath is sitting here.

This opening to life we have refused again and again until now, until now.

You may like to listen to that again and again.

The more I listen to it, there --- the more deeper it takes me.

So I would just like to say thank you so much to everyone who's joined me: Thank You Cara,

thanks Sara, Paula, Carol anyone else that I can't see on this now, thank you for your

lovely comments, love hearts and your thumbs up.

It's really interesting to step out of one's comfort zone and share something that's so,

so deep deeply important to my heart, in a public arena like this.

So I appreciate your support thank you.

If you would like to learn more, please just drop me a line on Kind Mind Academy or private

message me whatever you want to do, I always love to talk about this.

So until next week our Compassionate Wednesdays.

Our Self-compassionate Wednesdays will continue 6:15 on the dot.

So my times up.

I hope that this quarter of an hour will warm your heart and bring you a little bit of clarity

and lightness as to how to live more Self-Compassionate life.

So until next time, take great care of yourself.

Thanks now goodbye.
