Arsenal have discovered it will take a massive 80 million euros to secure the services of Nicolas Pepe from Lille in January
The Gunners seem to be keen on the 23-year-old who has turned heads with his performances in France this season where has scored 12 goals and provided five assists so far
That's second only to Kylian Mbappe of PSG and that form has alerted Arsenal to his presence, with Unai Emery seemingly intent on signing the Ivory Coast international come January
But he may have spit out his cornflakes on discovering just how much the club would have to part with in order to sign Pepe, with Lille Chief Luis Campos setting his value at €80million
That's twice the €40million figure that had been branded about recently, but French publication L'Equipe have recently claimed that Pepe will be available in January, so Arsenal may have some negotiating room with that figure
Speaking about Pepe to Telefoot on Sunday morning, Campos set out the value for the youngster, saying: "€80million
But [any club] will also have to convince the player." Arsenal need attacking reinforcements this January and Emery is a fan of Pepe having seen him first hand when he was manager of PSG last season, although the figure of €80million suggest Lille will want to do anything they can to get the most for one of their most exciting players
