On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway; I heard the mission bell

And I was thinking to myself

This could be heaven or this could be hell

Then she lit up a candle, and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California.

Such a lovely place,

Such a lovely place,

There's plenty of room at the Hotel California

Any time of year

You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, She got the Mercedes bends

She got a lot of pretty pretty boys she calls friends

How they danced in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the captain; Please bring me my wine (he said)

We haven't had that spirit here since 1969

and still those voices are calling from far away

Wake you up in the middle of the night

Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California.

Such a lovely place,

Such a lovely place,

They're livin' it up at the Hotel California

What a nice surprise,

Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling; the pink champagne on ice (and she said)

We are all just prisoners here, of our own device

and in the master's chambers, they gathered for the feast

They stab it with their steely knives but they

just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was running for the door

I had to find the passage back to the place I was before

"Relax" said the night man; we are programmed to receive

You can check out any time you like

But you can never leave...

Solskjaer rings changes as United stars arrive at hotel together - Duration: 3:11.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to have taken another step to unite his stars by making them travel to the club's team hotel together

The likes of , and Jesse Lingard used to make their own way to the Lowry Hotel the night before home games but caretaker boss Solskjaer has already changed the previous routine

United's first team stars were pictured arriving at the Manchester hotel on a team bus after training late on Day so players and staff could spend time with their respective families in the morning and early afternoon

Pogba, who was back to his old self in United's comprehensive 5-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday, and Lingard were among the players to check in to the Lowry late on Day

Supporters waited near the Lowry to get a close glimpse of Solskjaer's men and Juan Mata was among those to acknowledge his fans

Angel Gomes, who travelled to Cardiff but was not named in Solskjaer's first matchday squad, was also pictured arriving at the Lowry with his senior team-mates

Solskjaer has called on his players to continue to play attacking football against Huddersfield as he prepares for his reunion with the Old Trafford crowd

The caretaker boss said of the Day clash: 'The attacking philosophy is in the walls of Man United

'That's tradition, that's how we want to play. Cardiff was a reflection of what we want

We spoke about how when we get one goal, we want to get two. When we get two, we want three

That's the nature of the club.'It's not going to happen every game where we create chances like we did (against Cardiff) but you've got to try

'With the pace we've got up front, I don't think any team would like [Marcus] Rashford, [Anthony] Martial, Lingard and Pogba running at them

Mince pies from World War Two are found under hotel floorboards - Duration: 2:04.

Mince pies from World War Two are found under hotel floorboards

A tin of mince pies baked during World War Two were discovered in perfect condition under the floorboards of a hotel.

The seasonal treats were found with a handwritten note saying Love from Mum during a renovation of the Loch Hotel in Douglas, the Isle of Man, in 1988.

It is thought the pies, which were a gift from a mother to her sailor son, were so immaculately preserved for almost 80 years after being sealed in an air tight container.

The festive pies were left forgotten in storage but have now been put on display for for the first time at the Manx Museum, according to the BBC.

The red and white tin was addressed to Able Seaman Phil Davis and accompanied by a letter signed best, love from mum.

Matthew Richardson, curator of social history for Manx National Heritage, said that Christmas was the right time for them to shine, the BBC reported.

And the pies, which was found by a builder, may have been hidden under the hotels floorboards to stop other soldiers from swiping them, according to the BBC.

Mr Richardson told the BBC: If youre in a shared room with five or six other men you dont know, the only way you could be sure of protecting what was yours was to find a place to hide it

Mr Richardson says the tin highlight a human story of a soldier living away from his family preparing for war.

He told the BBC: We cant say for sure why Able Seaman Davis never ate his mince pies. Perhaps he was posted away at short notice and didnt have time to retrieve them.

Hilton hotel gives dozens of homeless people FREE stay for Christmas - Duration: 4:55.

Hotel bosses have "restored faith in humanity" after offering beds to 28 homeless people over Christmas, according to the founder of a community organisation.

The Raise The Roof Hull Homeless Project had raised over £1,000 in order to book 14 twin rooms at the Royal Hotel, in Hull, for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

But the organisation was left in limbo when the reservation was unexpectedly cancelled, just nine days before it was due to be fulfilled, Hull Live reports.

The situation left organisers in a "mad panic", but there was widespread relief when the local DoubleTree by Hilton stepped in to offer them rooms on the same nights, giving the rough sleepers a roof over their head for Christmas.

The group checked-in to their rooms on Monday afternoon, and a complimentary turkey dinner is being served today to mark the occasion.

Raise The Roof's founder, Carl Simpson, said he was "devastated" when the initial booking was cancelled, fearing that the homeless people he had supported might not be given the Christmas they had been promised.

He said: "These people, when we told them that they would have a roof over their head at Christmas and that they'd be getting dinner, their faces just lit up.

"The thought of then having to tell them that the hotel had been cancelled was horrible, so it left us in a mad panic to get the situation sorted.

"Then we were contacted by the DoubleTree, and I just couldn't believe what they were offering. The generosity they showed in stepping in to help at the eleventh hour is incredible, it restores faith in humanity."

A spokesman for the Royal Hotel's owners, Britannia Hotels, explained that the cancellation followed reports of bad behaviour at another hotel where Raise The Roof had booked rooms for the homeless last Christmas.

But Mr Simpson, a cafe owner, denied those suggestions, and told how the guests had even cleaned up after themselves and left presents for staff.

He added that the Royal Hotel did offer a refund after the cancellation.

Discussing the challenges that the homeless face over the festive season, Mr Simpson added: "Christmas Day on the streets is the worst thing that you can imagine.

Father Christmas even showed up at the hotel (Image: PA)

"Being sat there, lonely and cold, just makes people reflect on what they've lost, the family that they could have been with, the home they could have been living in.

"It's for those reasons that the suicide rate among the homeless is so high at this time of year, it's one of the hardest times for them.

"To know that these guys won't be facing that this year is wonderful, and it's what Christmas is all about."

The organisation has helped a further 20 homeless people in Hull to find accommodation over Christmas.

SEO & Digital Marketing For Hotels - Duration: 1:43.

Hi Guys Adam from Cache Digital here just wanted to make a quick video about

hotels and their the user experience that they are giving their users and it

seems quite common on a lot of hotel sites that I look at that when you click

the book now button you actually leave the website and you go to another web

address which is usually going to be not the same sites as the hotel site it's

going to be a booking engine URL the problem with this is visually the page

is going to change as well I mean it may not be massive massive visual changes

but visually the page generally does change and sometimes I can put users off

users don't really know what's happened so I think the the actual best scenario

the best situation is to actually have the booking engine embedded into the

page of your sites rather that shit redirecting that traffic away to another

page if that can't be done and you do need to redirect the traffic away to a

booking engine hey you want to make sure as soon as that transaction is complete

that the traffic gets redirected back to your domain and if it doesn't you want

to make sure that you have some quite good tracking in place with the booking

engine company so that they can tell you once the user left your domain and went

to the booking engine they can give you some insight into what happened without

traffic obviously you're hoping that they they made bookings and made

payments but there'll be a presented your people that didn't fulfill that

booking as well and didn't complete the form so it's it's important to be able

to track these things and know what's happened in the user in the user journey

I hope that helps thank you for your time thanks for watching bye for now
