Why musicians get exploited and how to stop it [1 simple solution] - Duration: 6:54.

Are you all so sick of getting exploited? Let me share with you the one and only

essential lesson you must learn to stop the injustice and finally get paid for

your music. Coming up!

It 's a recurring annoyance: You or your band get contacted

to perform or play somewhere and they start off with: "You will get great

exposure" "You will get the chance to sell your music and your merchandise at the event"

But then it comes: there's no budget to pay the musicians blah blah blah

And mind you, I'm not talking about charity events here

Well you can't blame them really. Concert organizers and venue owners know

there's a whole line of musicians who are willing to do just about anything for some exposure

and who still think that by performing for free they will get noticed and ultimately

famous. Stick around to find out why that just won't happen

Same thing when you get contacted by online marketeers, managers, record label owners

and other music industry bobo's. They keep exploiting musicians

They keep telling us why we need their services. For a hefty fee or a large piece of the pie

So you can focus on just making music. It's your passion right?

You do what you do best and they do what they do best. And you don't need a large cut

because you are not making music for the money, right?

And we keep falling for those sales pitches and we believe all their BS

So in the end you can't really blame them. But this can stop!

There's basically one solution. One thing we can do about it.

And that is to say no.

Just say no. It's really that simple!

If every one of us just said no to playing for free. Or no to a bad record deal

They would have no choice to pay us our fair share, right?

Saying no can be hard though, I know.

I'm still learning to say no. But stick around.

I got five quick tips that will make saying no a lot easier. Here they come

Number one: when it comes to making a deal education and knowledge are key

Learn what a record label does, what managers do, what event organizers do

It's not rocket surgery

And it's all part of being a modern-day musician anyway

Look up how much they're usually paid and THEN ask yourself the question:

IF you don't want to do this work yourself, which by the way

you are totally capable of. What is it worth to you?

You want to sign a publishing deal and sign away half of your rights?

You want to hire a marketeer to promote your music?

Fine! Just know what you're signing. It will make it a lot easier to say no

and to negotiate a fair deal

Number two: realize that concerts where the acts

play for free usually suck. They're badly organized, have uninterested crowds

You get no exposure and the sound is usually crap

making the little exposure you do get, something to be avoided

Three: let go of the myth of the starving artist

It's a stubborn misconception.

You do NOT need to be poor to make great art or to be creative

History has shown that creativity comes to all socio-economic layers

Charging money for music is okay. It is just a means

a means to make more music.

We don't make music to make money, but we make money to make music

Number four: realize that if you're doing a lot of free gigs

It can come back to haunt you. You'll be known as a musician who

doesn't charge much, so isn't worth much either

They just won't take you seriously and it makes it a lot harder to suddenly

start asking to get paid.

An organizer of any decent event, where there's actually budget to pay the musicians,

will reason like this:

Oh these guys ask a thousand bucks each to perform? They must be great!

and these guys here are okay with getting paid in peanuts?

Well they must be...

Yes, it's that simple.

and number five: realize how much work you have put in to be able to play music

Let's not even take into account the countless rehearsals and practice sessions

Those are basically your education and are considered dues

you have to pay to achieve a certain skill

Also not taking into account: writing, composing, arranging and recording your songs

Let's just look at a typical timetable of a concert day:

Get your gear ready. Load up the van. Drive to the gig

Arrive and wait till it's your time to set up. Set up all the gear and soundcheck

Find something to eat and some more waiting

Great! Get on stage and actually play some music. Get all the gear off the stage and

load up the van. Drive home. Remove the gear from the van and put it into storage

Finally get to bed. So two hours of actually playing music out of those 14.

Here's a way to make a deal: I'll actually play the music for free!

Just pay me for the other 12 hours, deal?

Get it in your mind you're not asking for a handout here.

Just payment for services rendered. They wouldn't dare to ask

the caterers, the electricians, the sound engineers, the security or the bartenders

to work for free at that same concert, now would they?

although I'd like to see them try

And finally as a bonus motivation to say no: if you can't say no for yourself

because you're, I don't know, insecure, whatever

Just do it for your fellow musicians

Because only if we all stick together things can change

Now, next time someone asks you to play for free, won't you be a little insulted?

Good! You should be. It makes it easier to say no.

You might even feel the urge to yell: Just pay me!

But don't do that. Instead just take a fes breaths

and turn them down in a polite way

And maybe as a bonus send them a link to this video

Everyone needs to learn.

If you agree, consider hitting the subscribe button and leave comments below

I really want to hear your thoughts on this! Until next time

Just say no

-={Tutorial}=- Simple No-E2 ACF Car - Duration: 30:21.

Hello, and welcome back.

The first thing you'll notice is that this video is completely different from what I usually post

I don't spend as much time on animation as I used to,

...so today, I will be teaching you a little bit of what I do instead.

In this particular video, I will be showing those of you who play the game 'Garry's Mod'

...how to make an ACF powered car-without the use of any e2.

The addons required for making the vehicle displayed in this video, are as follows:

ACF, SProps, Precision Alignment(optional), Stacker(optional), Wiremod, and Axis Centre.

The links to these addons will be provided in the description below.

With that being said, I hope you enjoy the video.

So to start off this tutorial, why don't you get out a baseplate, preferably a longer one.

And place it somewhere in the air, so we can work underneath it if we have to.

After that, grab any particular wheel, something that maybe fits the sizes of our baseplate.

This is a little bit big, so I'll choose something else.

*literally grabs the same two wheels, what a moron lololol*

This will work.

So place it next to your vehicle.

Anywhere is fine, as long as you have Axis Centre.

Now, using Stacker, we will line up the wheels by placing one somewhere in the front, like this.

And that should work just nicely.

Now, using Precision Alignment, to keep the wheels aligned on the other axis, we will attempt symmetry.

By doing.... THIS(Presto! :D) with Precision Alignment.

We define the plane, we select the wheel, we open the menu, we go to Rotation Functions,

...click Mirror Across Plane, click Plane 1, hold shift and click Rotate Entity.

And now, you can see, we have a wheel on the other side.

For the other wheel, you can just hold shift, and right click.

And that is duplicated.

Now, to attach some of these wheels, we will use Axis Centre.

You can apply any amount of friction you want; I have 20 on here.

So left click the side of the wheel, then you can click anywhere on the plate.

So we'll do that with the other wheel now. And we'll call this the back,

...because we can't Axis Centre all the wheels. We need some of them to turn.

So we will call this the back, and we will call this the front.

...unless you car typically steers from the back..(xd)

SO.

With those set, we will grab two smaller props: Thinner, smaller.... longer(relatively).

I will use this one for both sides.

And place them, right up around where the wheel is.

This is what we will attach our front wheels to.

Now, it's important that - before you axis these - you use Precision Alignment to mirror them,

...because we need some degree of exactness when we're making the mechanisms of this vehicle.

And if you try to use Precision Alignment AFTER you axis the wheel, it'll break.

So getting out Axis Centre again, axis the front wheel to the plate, for both sides.

And now Axis Centre the top of this plate to the baseplate.

So now we have basic steering... kind of pivot frames here. Now before we do anything else,

...let's set the weight, some decent weight for our vehicle.

So the wheels are 100, but the engines and the components we're gonna be using are probably gonna be heavier,

...so we'll set the weight of these wheels to 500.

And to avoid some sagging, we will need to set the baseplate and these props to something a little bit heavier.

So I chose 650, for the weight of these steering frames.

And we'll make the overall weight 800 for now. We may change this later, for stability purposes.

Now, looking through the menu, the next components we will need are... the Rope tool.

Make sure you have Rigid checked, that there is no added length, and that there is no Force Limit.

Now, using the Rope tool, click on one edge of one of the steering frames, and click on the opposite.

And do the same for the back of these plates.

What this will do, is it will guide our steering plates to turn at the same time.

As you can see.

Now as you installed Axis Centre, you probably came with some ballsocket tools,

...and hopefully, you came with Ballsocket Advanced.

Now this is an extra, but this can help with stability,

...if you're sagging a little bit when you're driving.

So with Ballsocket Advanced, with these settings(pause if you want),

...take the tool, click on the very center of one of your steering plates, and the center of another.

So there's hardly any, well, change in their kinda tilt now.

So as you can see, same effect, but this adds more stability by forcing a rotation constraint on them,

...rather than using Rope constraints. I like to use both for maximum stability.

So now we have our basic steering setup, and that's all nice and good.

Now, the next component we will need is a seat.

You can grab any old seat you want.

I will particularly use a Jeep seat, as I did with the example car at the start of this video.

Now, you can place this seat anywhere, I will just use one for this vehicle because one is all we need.

You can put as many as you like, or as many as your plate will allow.

Okay. So this will just be in the front. Could be anywhere, no limits.

Simple 3D Products Automotive wax for professional car detailing - Duration: 2:52.

[Music]

we appreciate you taking the time to check us out of 3DProducts.com

Facebook YouTube and really getting the understanding of what we're trying to

accomplish here and what you're looking at when you're going to shop for a wax

it can be confusing that I get it you know we have all sorts of different

waxes thing is if you want high quality great long lasting life with ease of use

HD poxy it doesn't get really get much better for you it's liquid wax put on an

application can gone with machine so it's easy not a lot of elbow grease or

it can go on by hand it's a perfect easy on Easy Off great durability you want

that group deep wet high-gloss showroom shine and you have to be a more

controlled environment than 3d carnauba paste waxes where it's easy on Easy Off

in a controlled environment remember you don't want to let it sit too long

because you're just looking to get kind of that depth candy shell look to it and

that's what that's going to be for you not gonna give you the longest

durability but will give you some durability anywhere in between you got

your carnauba and your cherry wash gonna give you a quick wet look that you

are looking for is gonna last about week maybe two something gonna put on more

frequently and then of course the HD Express wax doesn't get much easier than

that spray it on let it flash wipe it off you're ready to go on date night you

know have a couple days of durability now all waxes are susceptible to being

removed through degreasers they're easy on or you know they can be durable

to a point there are sacrificial layer between the elements now degreasers

are gonna take these off wax is the grease so the degreaser will kill them

so make sure you you're aware of what kind of car wash you're going through if

you sit there and you say well I just got my car wax it should be fine why is

it not beading anymore? It could be because you went through a cheaper car

wash you're using lower pH or higher pH levels in their car wash it's going to

strip all that wax that you paid for on that detail so make sure when you go

through we recommend again to combine some of the 3D products we have perfect

ph balance with our 3D Pink Car Soap our Wash and Wax our Waterless Car Wash

these are things to help maintain that time and effort you put in.

now we've gone through we put HD poxy right here

3D Carnauba Paste Wax 3D carnauba wax Cherry Wax and 3D Express Wax. All great

showroom shines all great gloss the difference is going to be durability and

a little bit more depth of gloss we appreciate you stopping by I'm Donald

Williams the 3D International we'll see you next time

Two Free Simple Tools That Will Increase Interaction On Your Blog - Duration: 4:26.

hi folks Jason here with another video and this week the subject is increasing

activity on your blog using a couple of free tools so many of us are transfixed

with social media marketing that we actually neglect our blogs that's

even if we have one and that's a real shame

so take a few minutes to watch it I keep these videos short and to the point and

please feel free to leave a comment or a reaction thumbs up thumbs down whatever

any reaction is good and wherever you are in the world

have a great day

2 free and simple tools that will increase interaction on your blog

introduction there's been so much made about interaction on social media

over the past few years that a reminder is in order this isn't the only place

that you want interaction with all of the integration we use in our campaigns

it can be simple to overlook the comment sections of our blogs we're used to

having the discussion take place on social media when we share the content

or feedback happening in forums if we're a part of them but overlooking your

blog comment section is not a healthy marketing decision

blog comment sections are vital to validity I can't tell you how many times I click on a

link to a blog and scroll down and see 0 comments to me this is a big indicator

just as to how successful engaging and helpful that blog actually is if you

don't see discussion most times you'll probably not even read the blog if

people are talking about something you will want to get in on a conversation

and most people do it's just in our nature to gab and be social but even

worse is when you get to an interesting blog you see a discussion taking place

and then you have to jump through hoops of information sharing just to leave a

comment yes as a marketer I understand why we want to get people's emails

before they comment but as a member of the internet community I can't stand it

if it's not easy for me to leave a comment will you ever come back to the blog and

that's a great idea for all of us don't just think about your marketing

techniques from your own point of view think of them from the point of your

readers the last thing you want to do is to put up barriers between us

and interaction making it hard to comment on blogs with outdated tools and systems does just that

two tools to make commenting on your blog easier okay here

are two powerful free tools that will tear down those communication barriers

and help to get more interaction on your blog you'll soon see that once you get

the ball rolling with a few comments your blog will become a hotbed of

activity right for plugging out some more targeted leads

Google+ comments

Google+ is making some huge strides in the social networking field but they're

also making some headlines with their comments even YouTube recently switched

over to using Google+ comments making them now the big dog in the yard using

them on your blog is simple if a person is already logged into their Google

account gmail or Google+ all they have to do is write a comment

the only caveat is that you have to host your blog on blogger for this to work

but the big upside here is that they'll be able to share your blog with their

circles when they comment thus increasing the reach of your blog

Livefyre

this is a live commenting tool that updates continuously adding comments

from social media networks to your blog comment section people can discuss

comments on social sites right on your blog bringing all of your social

networking right into your comments plus the comments can be shared on other

social networks and as those branch off into discussions they'll also show up in

your blog comment section

so what do you think implementing these tools will

create a jump in activity interaction and even traffic as your blog gets

noticed so all that's left for you to do is to create the killer blogs that

people want so go on create some killer content get it out there and watch your interaction soar

Simple Birthday Card using Fruit Bundle & Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes - Duration: 13:22.

hey guys it's Kara from iStampin.com. thanks for joining me today

today we are getting down to the last bit the last final days of celebration

so I wanted to show you some of my you know favorite products before

celebration is over so I wanted to show you how I made these really simple

happy birthday cards using the tutti-frutti cards and envelopes said

that you can get out of the celebration catalog for free but before I do that I

wanted to say thank you so very much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday

my birthday was earlier this week on Monday and I wanted to show off some

birthday cards that I received from customers from ladies that are on my

team as well as you know friends of mine who are Stampin Up demonstrator --zz so

let me just kind of share them with you as I speak isn't this one pretty just

that beautiful glitter paper and this one is just gorgeous she stacked up the

celebrate to kind of like make faux chipboard and made this background just

beautiful and then this one and then here's another glimmer one and then this

really cute Easter card so my birthday always seems to her every so often falls

right around Easter so thank you ladies and um you know guys I really love being

a Stampin Up demonstrator and I would love to have you on my team there's just

a couple more days left to take advantage of the promotion or the

recruiting special during celebration where you can choose some extra stamp

sets but if you're looking for you know some genuine friendships I would love

for you to consider joining my team I would never have met these ladies

otherwise and it's just it was so much fun getting cards in the mail so if you

I kind of feel like you're missing out on anything some female companionship or

anything like that I'd love for you to reach out to me and I can talk to you

about joining my team but all that means even if you just want to join for the

discount things like that I'd love to speak to you about that one of the other

things that's ending on Saturday besides celebration is my celebration

last hurrah I mentioned this earlier a couple of days ago that you will receive

a free gift from me packaged up in this cute little gift bag you want to use

this host code it is $50 before tax and shipping you want to place your order

online and like I said the deadline is 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time so this allows

me to get everything in before celebration officially ends really it

2:00 a.m. Eastern Time but I'm not going to be up at 2:00 a.m. this can't be

combined with other host codes and as always please don't use this hostess

code if your order is $150 or more you'll still receive a free gift from me

and then finally I feel like I have all this housekeeping finally before we get

started on the project not only a celebration ending my last hurrah isn't

in but my Stampin blennz giveaway is ending so as a reminder if you comment

on today's blog post you will go your name will be entered into a drawing and

if you do place an online order you do get one extra entry and it's the entire

collection of the Stampin blends and in this handy container I will be making

the announcement on Monday April 2nd as to who the winner is so it's just a

random drawing all right so now let's get started with the project so what I

did is I just pulled out the cards and this is how the package comes you get 16

note cards with the coordinating envelopes and like I said that is free

when you choose that is your celebration item

and it coordinates perfectly with the 2d or excuse me with the fruit basket a

bundle as well as the tutti fruiti designer series paper stuff so that's

where I got these designer series papers from now some of these I'm art I wanted

to show you this one I just love I love the strawberries I just the that's my

favorite but I've already run out of this

background so what I'm gonna do is I'm going to show you this background but

instead of using pineapples I'm gonna use strawberries so let me get my items

out so what you're gonna need is a note card and it's nice because they already

come cut and pre-scored and they're white on the inside which

makes it really nice to be able to write your message and then this is one of the

patterns from the 2d fruity 6x6 designer series paper as you can see the back

side and this measures a three and a quarter by four and a quarter and we're

gonna be layering that on top of the card base and we can go ahead and do

that and I'm just going to use snail to do that

so that's just going to go Center that into the the front of the card base as

best as you can and then the next thing that I've done is I have cut a piece of

whisper white cardstock this measures a one and a half by four inches and then

this is just the extra part of the cardstock that I'm going to be using to

stamp the strawberries so you are going to need to get the fruit basket bundle

and in the bundle you get the stamp set along with the four punches you're also

going to need to get night of maybe and real red and lemon lime twist so these

are the three colors that I'm going to be using to stamp the strawberries and

the greeting and then to adhere the strawberries I just used some mini

dimensionals which are the perfect size these things are such a lifesaver I'm so

glad that we came out with those last year all right so let's go ahead and do

our stamping just going to put these away all we need is the strawberry punch

and I'm gonna start out stamping the strawberry and real red and I don't know

why this stamp set just makes me so happy I guess just because it's so easy

to use and the images are just darling okay so now I've put the strawberry cap

on my blog and I'm gonna use lemon lime twist and lemon lime twist and real red

are just gorgeous together it just screams summer to me and with a bean

photopolymer you can see exactly where you need a stamp to put the little

strawberry cap on like so

all right and now we've got our punch but I may need a cut

you're not my thing I think I'm good I'm just gonna punch out my three

strawberries to cut this down a little bit so I can get my cardstock in there

we go so if you have not had a chance to get this bundle or the card pack you

still have some time so I'm always making happy birthday cards and really

simple birthday cards are my favorite just because I can make a lot at the

same time and just be done with it and just have them you know ready just have

them in a basket just ready for me to pull out and just you know um you know

write my message to the person who's getting it and these are just so cute

okay so what I want to do is I want to create a knot on both ends of this

banner or of this strip of cardstock so what I'm going to do is I'm going to

gently just fold it in half and make sure that the edges meet and then I'm

just going to go ahead and not that together and so this way the banner

should be pretty even and if it's not perfect that's okay but it gives the you

know at least it's almost perfect okay and you can kind of come in and clean up

if you need to

let's see here okay that's good and it is kind of bent but what I'm

going to do is I'm going to use a lot of snail which will make it straighten out

and that's just going to go in the center of the card just like that and

before I put the strawberries on I'm gonna go ahead and stamp the sentiment

like I'm using native Navy and I have chosen to stamp happy birthday to you

and that's just going to go down here bottom like that and then we'll put the

mini dimensionals on the back of all the strawberries and I'm not sure if I

mentioned this when I was going over the specials that are ending so my

celebration last hurrah and then the stampin blends give away if for any

reason if you're not like you don't know what I'm talking about you haven't heard

me it had have not heard about my specials today's blog post which will be

in the description notes on this video I will have all the details in the

promotions section of my blog so that you can participate okay and hopefully I

space those out pretty good let's see here it's kind of move this over I don't

like to get my head in the camera obviously so I'm kind of doing this from

a little further away than I normally do okay and there we go guys it's so easy

so simple they're just darling so let me bring in the other ones that I did so

again same design just used a different fruit I did the pineapples here I'm here

here's the strawberries with the lemon lime twist

notecard and this is night of maybe designer series paper but like I said

I've used that all up and then here's the pair's so this is a pool party card

stock base I'm a card base and then this is peekaboo peach in there so just

absolutely darling I just love this collection that just anything small when

it comes to crafting is just it's just so much fun hear me kind of mix these up

there we go all right guys well I hope you liked

today's project if you did please give it a thumbs up make sure you head on

over to ice stamping calm again that was using the fruit basket bundle along with

the tutti-frutti cards and envelopes that this is a free item out of the

celebration catalog and again as a reminder celebration last hurrah

there's the hostess code that you want to use and you'll get a free sweet gift

from me in the mail and then if you have any questions about joining my team

please feel free to reach out to me it's gonna get kind of crazy online as people

are wanting to take advantage of the celebration recruiting special before

Saturday so you know if you want to talk to me soon just reach out to me okay

thanks guys bye

Honda Gokart - how to check & fix a simple engine DIY - Duration: 17:08.

Hey folks! Great you're watching again

I have been a guest at 'Dumpert'

Those guys gave me a present!

Nice!

Look at that; a kart!

It has been sitting at a supermarket

thereafter it sat in the 'Autobahn' decor

It hasn't run for quite a while

I have no idea if it will run

A simple Honda 4 stroke engine

200cc

200 GX, it's an industrial engine

It's also used on generators and pumps for example

Here's a reduction

In there's a clutch, a centrifugal clutch

It engages if you push the throttle

It's automatic

So just push the throttle or the brake

here a chain to the rear axle

a rigid axle

No differential, none

The ones who ever drove a kart will know that for sure

Let's see if it runs

I will check first if the engine is mechanically in order

I just pull the starter

Important to have the ignition turned off

I don't want it to start by accident

I don't expect that will happen..

But it could cause trouble, I haven't checked the oil yet

I pull the starter

and I feel strokes in the rope

That's the compression of the engine

That's good, it needs that. Otherwise it won't run

If you pull the starter

and you don't feel much resistance

not the strokes

Something is wrong then

Maybe a valve doesn't close, worn piston rings

No compression; the engine will not run

The engine seems mechanically OK

It has compression

it's not seized

it doesn't crack & squeak

Next thing I'm going to check if there's oil in there

I don't want it to seize in the first minute

That would be a shame

Oil filler cap and dipstick are here

Now.. it's on level

That's a suprise

They put it on its side in the studio

oil leaked out of it

and when we put it back on its wheels

even more oil came out..

But.. dipsticks says it's on level

But we have another part which contains oil

Here's the engine

Here's the reduction

With the clutch

this part also needs oil

filler cap

With a dipstick I presume

That's empty

Next thing I want to check;

If we have ignition

No spark; it won't run

Better check it first

before I'm going to tire myself by pulling this cord

Here's the cylinder head

Here's the spark cap

there's the spark plug

I'm going to take that out

Here's the spark plug

I will put it back into the spark plug cap

Now it's important this part of the spark plug

is in contact with the engine

I put it somewhere overhere

look

And then pull the starter and see what happens

Ignition on

Ignition is fine

I'm not installing the spark plug yet

I just put it in loose to prevent dirt from entering there

It will be handy later if the plug is not installed

I will get back on that later

What could be important now?

I know that these things won't run well without fuel

Let's take a look to the fuel system

Before I will fill the tank with fuel..

I will check the carburator first

Because this thing has been sitting for a while..

It's possible fuel has dried up

and has varnished

That causes dirt in the float bowl

If I fill it with fuel

that dirt will enter the carburator

and clog it

It has tiny ports like fuel jets

They can't handle dirt

It will save you a lot of work;

Check the float bowl first and clean it

Here's the air cleaner

below there we have the carburator

Under this carburator there's a reservoir

That's the float bowl

You see this; it's a dirty mess

Let's clean that first before taking it apart

That's not dirty

only a bit of oil, because it has been on its side

That's no problem

Here's the float

The float controls a needle

That's where fuel enters the float bowl

That works the same as a cistern of a toilet

If it's empty it will be filled

the float is in lower positon

fuel will enter

if it starts floating

it will shut down the fuel supply

and it's on level

It's important the needle isn't stuck

The needle can be leaking

But we will check it later if we have issues

It's a plastic float

It's possible these are punctured

Fuel will enter the float

causing it to sink

then the carburator will overflow

Overhere we have a sieve

Let's take that off too

Let's see if it clogged

It's possible

It still contains some fuel

It even doesn't smell like fuel anymore

This came from a good year

Don't do that at home

Don't blame me if you're ill

A bit of dirt collected at the bottom

Solved

Float bowl is almost clean

It's clean now

Let's reinstall those

Now the step most people start with when the have something new

Fill it with fuel

Tank is clean, that's nice

Fuel is filled

You don't want to know how many things I've repaired

just by putting proper fuel in

many engines which have been sitting for some time

have old fuel in them

Drain the fuel tank

clean the carburator

put new fuel in

100 points

especially small machines

like chainsaws are very vulnerable for old fuel

You better use fuel which has a long shelf life

instead of regular fuel from the gas station

But the engine doesn't only need fuel to run

it also needs air

so I will check the air cleaner

See if there's no birdsnest

Filter seems clean

Since I took it apart and I have the compressor here

I will clean it

Allways blow the airfilter inside out

The dirt collected on the outside

Like this

This engine has a membrane fuel pump

That's connected to the crankcase

By the movement of the piston

it will create over and under pressure

that varying pressure

will cause the membrane start moving

That membrane pumps the fuel from the tank

to the carburator

That means; if the engine is turned

it will start pumping fuel

that's why I haven't installed the sparkplug yet

It will cost less effort to pull the engine

I will crank it and pump the fuel to the carburator

Let's see if it works

It has clear fuel lines, so I can check where the fuel is

Sweet

Here's the pump

There are three connections

This one comes out of the tank

this is where the fuel enters

This one goes to the carburator, fuel exits there

This one goes to the crankcase ventilation

It takes care of that varying pressure

and gets the membrane moving

Let's see if it works

Fuel valve is open

Ignition off

Let's see what happens

No fuel is coming, it takes too much time

another solution

Let's take off the fuel line to the carburator

and suck the fuel through

Let's suck the fuel out

Glad those are clear hoses, so I can stop sucking on time

There it comes

That's better

It seems the fuel pump isn't working

I sucked the fuel through the pump

But it doesn't pump it further when I crank it

I can just blow the fuel back through the pump

It seems we have a failing check valve

There it is

This is the hose for the varying pressure

There's the membrane

That will move like this

These lips are the check valves

You can tell these aren't working anymore

this one is open

that's no good

This isn't too bad

This is because this engine has been sitting for a while

These parts dry out

If these parts are submersed in fuel

The will keep working

But when these are dry, it will go wrong

This sheet, here's the membrane,

these small lips are the check valves

They need to shut off the flow ports

They fail now, because they're pointing upward

I can solve that

I try to bend it down a bit

It might be sufficient

Put it back together and see if it works

If it doesn't;

I will submerse this part in fuel for a night

It might be more flexible in the morning

Let's see what happens

I've disconnected the pressure line

put this one on

Let's see if the pump isn't working at all

Blow & suck in order the get the membrane moving

then it should work

Fuel pump is working

It takes a lot of pressure

Let's connect it

Fuel line is connected to the carburator, lets fill it

Float bowl is full

This one there..

We have compression

We have a spark

We have fuel

We have air

It should run now

I put it on chocks

It has an automatic clutch

I don't want it to start

and takes off without me

Choke on

Fuel valve open

Ignition on

Here we go!

That was a short race!

But I was fast!

We went to a bigger testing ground

overhere we can test it better

I will test it!

Yeah, step on it!

I think I should try it too

That's for sure!

I asked myself why we never go karting anymore?

It's fun!

It's better to go karting

You don't need to fix it if you break it

Hey folks! Thanks for watching & see you next time!

16 Simple Fixes for Goodgame Empire - Duration: 11:23.

Hello everyone, I'm Breor, and welcome back to Goodgame Empire.

You might not believe me when I say this, but I've been pretty happy with the changes

Goodgame Studios has been making recently.

They brought back the Berimond Invasion, with great new prizes and updated equipment sets.

They introduced Royal Quests, which give even the most powerful players something to work

on.

They've even run the open test server a few times!

Even though I might not agree with all of the changes they've made recently, I can

still see where they're trying to take Goodgame Empire, and it makes sense.

Goodgame Empire is a good game, but that doesn't mean it's perfect.

The game has long been filled with small annoyances that, upon reflection, just don't make sense.

To that end, here are sixteen quick fixes for GGE.

Number 1: Make separate incoming horns for shapeshifters

When you're being attacked in Goodgame Empire, a red incoming horn appears with a red screen

outline.

It's pretty difficult to miss.

These visual cues inspire urgency on the behalf of the defender, who must rush into action

to pull together a defense.

This makes sense for attacks from real players, since the defender stands to lose troops and

potentially have his castle set afire.

Shapeshifter incomings, however, can't actually hurt the defender, so why should they get

the same visual warning?

If you were to be attacked by real players and a shapeshifter at the same time, this

similarity could be confusing.

It took me about thirty seconds in Photoshop to change the incoming horn to a unique color.

If you saw this horn appear, you'd know immediately a shapeshifter attack was incoming,

and not to change your defenses.

Number 2: Automatically sell equipment items and gems, and reorganize the equipment menu

If you're an active looter, you'll collect lots of equipment for which you have absolutely

no use.

In order to make room in your equipment inventory, you'll have to sell these pieces, which

proves remarkably tedious.

In order to sell a single equipment piece, you'll need to click three times.

It can take minutes to clear out one's whole inventory.

If the game is lagging, it can sometimes put sold equipment back into your inventory, which

you'll try to sell again only to receive an error message.

Level 70 players should be able to automatically sell ordinary, rare, epic, and even legendary

equipment items, at their choosing.

If not, here's another idea; click on one button to toggle a "sell equipment" mode,

and then click on each piece only once to sell it.

Furthermore, if you think selling regular equipment is bad, selling gems is even worse!

Gems of the same level and kind should stack onto one another, and should be able to be

sold in batches.

Number 3: Provide statistics for alliance members

Most large alliances track their members' participation in events and in the weekly

looting rankings.

That's because weekly loot is a great measure of a player's activity.

Looking up the loot of each player in your alliance is tremendously tedious.

Weekly loot, and perhaps a few other details, could easily be tracked on the alliance roster

page, just like daily glory points.

Better yet, information like this could have its own separate tab, with information from

previous weeks and all of that good stuff.

Number 4: Desertion warning When you run out of food in one of your castles,

any extra troops you can't feed will desert you.

This is pretty annoying when it happens while you're offline, but it's even more aggravating

when you're online and could've done something to prevent it.

An easy way to check your food reserves at all of your castles is to visit the storehouse,

but, while this tells you how much food you have, it doesn't tell you how long that

buys you.

Why not have a configurable desertion warning, that alerts you to move food over to one of

your castles?

Players should be able to adjust the time at which this warning appears.

For example, maybe a advanced player would want to know if he was ten minutes away from

starving, but a less advanced player might want to know if he was half an hour away from

starving.

Players should be given the choice.

Number 5: Music option Throughout this video so far, you've been

listening to the old theme of Goodgame Empire.

While the new music isn't as bad as some people make it out to be, I think the old music is

infinitely better, which is why I've added it in the background of all of my recent videos.

Judging by some of the comments I've received, I'm not alone in holding this opinion!

If you want to listen to the old music while you play Goodgame Empire, simply click the

link in the description and enable the "loop" feature.

You can do that by right-clicking on the video and selecting loop... then it will loop indefinitely,

just as it was designed to do in the game.

It's pretty easy, but it would be even easier to simply give players the option to pick

their music without having to leave the game!

Number 6: Longer troop stationing times When you support another member of your alliance,

you currently have the option of stationing your troops for one, six, or twelve hours.

I'd find it really useful if you could set more specific times, and also if you could

station your troops for up to a whole day.

This would be super beneficial for protecting outpost captures and/or using the safehouse

to protect your attackers.

Number 7: Moving decorations between castles When you earn a decorative item in Goodgame

Empire, you have to tell the game what castle to put it in.

You'll be stuck with that choice forever.

Goodgame Studios has been asked to countless times implement a "move decoration" feature,

but they said on the forums that this would be too difficult.

Why?

Players already have the option to sell decorative items, and obviously to receive them, so how

much harder could it be to put those two features together?

I should be able to sell my decorative item to receive a new copy of it that I could place

in a different castle.

To those who would argue that this makes raising one's public order much easier, I would agree,

since that's very much the point.

If a player captures an outpost with better decorations from another player, and simply

cannibalizes that outpost by moving the decorations to a different castle, that they actually

intend to keep, then I don't see the problem with that either.

Number 8: Moving between kingdoms glitch This is a super minor annoyance that has bugged

me for a long time.

I'm browsing my alliance roster when I decide to visit melp's castle in the burning sands.

Why not?

It looks nice!

Then, when I pull back to the world map, it's centered on my own castle.

To revisit melp, I have to type his name in again.

This glitch only happens when moving between kingdoms.

Obviously I'm not planning on attacking melp, but I encounter this problem a lot when

I'm looking for PVP targets.

I'm probably the only person who finds this annoying, but I'd appreciate a fix.

Number 9: Desertion and hospitalization order When you run out of food in your castle, your

troops will desert in an order determined by Goodgame Studios.

You might lose your strongest attackers or defenders, or you might be left with only

melee troops, for example.

When you lose troops in a fight or by desertion, they'll be placed in the hospital.

In the hospital, ruby troops are given priority, pushing coin troops out, but I don't know

anybody who actually spends rubies to heal ruby troops!

Players should be able to determine the prioritization order here, and if they want don't want

ruby troops to knock coin troops out of the hospital, they should be able to say that

too.

Number 10: Tool exchanges Take a look at this!

What do siege towers, grim ladders, candy cane ladders, bone ladders, and vine ladders

all have in common?

They all have the same effect and the same travel speed.

Yet they take up a massive amount of space in the long list of tools I can send with

my attack.

We players should be able to sell the holiday themed tools to get the "basic" ruby version

of the tool, thus decluttering the attack setup window.

Some tools, like these mantlets, do have slightly different travel speeds, but I honestly think

we should be able to combine them too.

Similarly, different versions of the same troop, like how the master bone huntress is

the same as the demon horror, should be able to be combined.

Number 11: Disable auto war by default When a player founds a new alliance, auto-war

is enabled by default, meaning war will be declared if they are attacked.

Many new players who found alliances don't know to turn auto-war off, which means large

alliances have dozens of tiny alliances that they're perpetually at war with.

Auto-war should have to be manually enabled, not the other way around.

Number 12: Break up the 18 hour boosters I really don't like how Goodgame Studios

encourages unhealthy playing habits.

I understand why they do it, but I think it's taking the monetization of the game too far.

For example, consider how a player can earn an eighteen-hour seasonal point booster during

the long-term point events.

It's not healthy for anybody to play Goodgame Empire for eighteen consecutive hours, yet

by making the booster this long, that's exactly what Goodgame Studios is trying to

get people to do.

Why not break this booster up into three six-hour periods, earnable at different stages along

the way?

Number 13: More message archive space Players were given the ability to permanently

store messages several years ago, which is a really useful feature for holding onto good

information.

You can also archive an alliance invite so that you can visit another alliance and then

return to your own without needing to find somebody who can invite you and who is online.

Very useful!

My only complaint is that my archive folder has been full for years, with the capacity

to hold only twenty messages.

Increasing this to 50 or beyond would be greatly appreciated.

Number 14: Condense the time-skips I'm sure you're all acutely aware of the recent

changes Goodgame Studios made to time skips, but while 24-hr skips may no longer be a thing,

active looters have thousands of tiny skips that we can't really use.

I can't use these skips fast enough when running attacks on nomad and samurai camps, and completing

buildings with them is also out of the question.

Perhaps time skips should be added to a time bank of sorts, where you can skip any cooldown

or construction immediately with one easy click.

At the very least, we should again be allowed to trade in these time skips for skips of

equal value but higher denomination.

Number 15: Sending kingdom and regular resources together

If you want to send regular and kingdom resources between your castles, you'll need to make

multiple trips.

This is true between the kingdoms and also between castles in the same kingdom, and I'm

not sure why.

It causes players to waste time, time skips, and even rubies if they're moving resources

between kingdoms.

Number 16: Allow the attacker to see the details of the battle report even when they lose

It used to be when you sent an attack that got crushed, you could examine the details

of the report to understand why you lost.

Goodgame Studios removed this feature for whatever reason, and while you can still see

whether your attackers overcame the wall, you can't view any further details about your

opponent's setup.

I think perhaps the developer made this change because tool-burning was an easier way to

spy than actually spying, but they need to find a way to undo it.

If I lose, I should be able to see why and use that information to make better attacks

in the future... what other way is there for me to learn?

Alright ladies and gentlemen, that is all for today, thank you for watching.

If you have feelings about my suggestions, one way or the other, whether you agree or

disagree, please leave them in the comments section below.

In the very near future, I will be releasing a defense guide for Goodgame Empire, so stay

tuned to the channel for that.

Thanks again, and I'll see you next time.

a nightstand by turning into a standing position

with the shorter side on the bottom and attach ball feet for decoration.

Coat it with a white paint and embellish the inside part with scraps

or rather build one to stash your stuff.

A mantel shelf will add a lot of interest to

your plain bedroom and you can nail one without having to buy them at IKEA.

You will only need three 8 feet 1" x 12" oak boards,

dark walnut stain and wood glue.

Cut all your boards in half to create six 4 feet boards

and sand them to smooth any rough edges.

Stain each board with a sponge brush

and stack them with a 2" overhang on each side after they are dry.

Apply wood glue once stacked as needed

and use clamps to secure them.

3.Go for Two-Tiered This Time

Another wooden project you can try to organize your bedroom.

Two-tiered open floating shelves

seem to give off a classic vibe in any room they are installed.

Choose plain planks with

approximately 3ft wide and with 2" thickness

for the best looking and most sturdy shelves.

In addition, if you are worried attaching them

with brackets would shatter the beauty of the shelves

because of their stark difference stain and seal them with Hemp Oil.

These spots are perfect to display your frames

or vintage vase decorations.

2.Pallet Can Solve It!

In every chaotic bedroom, books always seem to be one of the factors of the mess.

Bookshelves are a must if you have quite an extensive book collection.
