Pres. Moon calls on public organizations to serve the people, not power - Duration: 0:44.

President Moon Jae-in met Wednesday with officials from some 240 public-sector organizations

to impress on them the importance of their role in working with the private sector.

His audience included the heads and other officials of state-run companies and government

commissions.

The President also emphasized once again that their service should be focused on the people,

not those with power.

He then urged them to lead the government's push for innovation-led growth and boost support

for and investment in the new energy sector.

He also addressed his flagship policy of income-led growth, calling it a matter of survival.

The current economic structure, he said, fuels polarization... and can never ensure the country's

sustainable growth.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT ROCKS DC – TRUTH GOES PUBLIC ABOUT CLINTON LYNCH TARMAC MEETING - Duration: 3:28.

Americans everywhere were horrified when former President Bill Clinton met with

then Attorney General Loretta Lynch on a tarmac at the Phoenix International

Airport in June of 2016 days before she announced that his wife

Hillary would not face charges in her email scandal now bill sign of the story

that Park Lee led to his wife losing the election has been revealed The

Washington Times reported that Gil told investigators that he didn't think the

investigation into Hillary's emails amounted to much frankly so he therefore

saw no problem in having the impromptu meeting with Lynch he said that he

believed he knew the truth of that whole thing and that he did not want to snub

her when he walked the 30 yards from his private jet to hers bill claimed that he

only told Lynch that she was doing a great job and that she was his favorite

cabinet secretary this was all revealed in Justice Department Inspector General

Michael Horowitz his 500 page report on the Clinton email saga the report also

details the chaos of the tarmac meeting as an aide for Lynch repeatedly tried to

break it up but was stopped by security bill also talked for a way longer than

Lynch wanted him to leading to more awkwardness the aide for Lynch said that

she was shocked and she just felt completely blindsided once he got onto

the plane if I had knowledge I would not have been in that van I would have

stayed on the plane and got everybody off no heads-up or anything

she said Lynch said that the conversation went on and on for 20

minutes it was just too long a conversation to have had she said Lynch

told investigators that she thought the meeting would be quick but though would

not stop making small talk with her and her husband at some point after two or

three minutes President Clinton turned around she said

I had my tote bags on the bench seat of the plane

because I had put them there when he came on board I had been holding them I

put them down he picked up my tote bags and moved them and then he sat down so

he sat down and my husband and I were still standing in front of him having

the discussion and he sort of sat heavily and I didn't know how he felt so

I can't say one way or the other and I remember at that point saying well you

know thank you very much kind of thing and he sort of continued chatting made a

comment about his travels he was headed on and I said well we've got to get

going to the hotel she continued bill still claimed that the meeting was

harmless I just wanted to say hello to her and I thought it would look really

crazy if we were living in a world where I couldn't shake hands with the Attorney

General you know when she was right there he said according to the Horowitz

report what do you think about this let us know your thoughts in the comments

DONALD TRUMP STUNS DC – SECRET MEETING AT WHITE HOUSE GOES PUBLIC - Duration: 10:52.

DONALD TRUMP STUNS DC – SECRET MEETING AT WHITE HOUSE GOES PUBLIC

President Donald Trump has surprised people all over the country with who he is meeting

at his White House today.

Daily Mail reported that Trump is meeting with reality television star Kim Kardashian

to talk about prison reform and pardoning a first-time drug offender.

She will first meet with the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, before she gets

her audience with the president.

Kardashian will be asking Trump to pardon Alice Johnson – a 62-year-old woman who

is serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense.

Kardashian has been campaigning for Johnson's release in a series of talks with the White

House over the course of the last few months.

She initially reached out to Ivanka Trump and established a connection with Kushner

through her.

Kardashian will not be joined by her husband, Kanye West, who is a Trump supporter.

During the meeting, she would like to "explain to [Trump] that, just like everybody else,

we can make choices in our lives that we're not proud of and that we don't think through

all the way."

Kushner has long pushed for prison reform, which is a deeply personal issue to him given

his father Charles' own year-long incarceration in 2005 – for tax evasion, illegal campaign

contributions, and witness tampering.

He has been an outspoken proponent of the First Step Act, which was created to offer

job training and drug-treatment programs as an incentive for inmates.

This act would also allow nonviolent offenders to have their last bits of sentences served

in halfway homes or house confinement.

"If we can start showing that we can make the prisons more purposeful and more effective

at lowering the recidivism rate over time, that may help the people who are trying to

make the argument for sentencing reform," Kushner is believed to have said in a White

House meeting earlier this month.

Impeach Trump? A sampling of public opinion | IN 60 SECONDS - Duration: 1:24.

Pollsters have been asking about impeaching President Trump for some time.

In the latest Harvard/HarrisX poll, 42 percent said that he should be impeached and removed from

office for his actions, while 41 percent said no action should be taken.

There have been only a few ripples in this trend since Harvard/Harris first asked the

question in June 2017.

Another question with a different emphasis asked by Quinnipiac University since January

this year provides a different perspective.

In August 2018, 58 percent of registered voters said that they would not like to see the Democratic

Party begin impeachment proceedings if the Democrats

regain control of the House of Representatives in November.

Thirty-six percent said that they should proceed.

A majority of voters in the June 2018 NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll said that their vote in November

would not be a signal either way on impeachment.

Twenty-two percent said it would send a signal to impeach Trump, while a similar 25 percent

said it would send a signal in opposition to impeachment.

Pres. Moon calls on public organizations to serve the people, not power - Duration: 2:02.

President Moon Jae-in met with officials from public institutions to re-emphasize the government's

role in serving the people.

The South Korean leader also urged those organizations to do their part in propelling the administration's

push for innovative growth.

Shin Se-min shares with us his remarks.

Meeting Wednesday with heads and officials from some 240 public-sector organizations,

President Moon Jae-in impressed on them the importance of their service being focused

on the people, not those with power.

He said... public organizations are the closest to the people's daily lives,... and that they

should communicate with them and give them support in times of hardship -- as he pinpointed

some of the recent irregularities involving public institutions.

He then highlighted the important role of such organizations in bringing together the

public and private sectors.

He said they should be the leaders of innovative growth,... one of the three signature economic

policies being pushed by the administration.

"Support for and investment in the new energy sector, smart farms and smart cities should

be invigorated.

Realizing social values, like quality jobs, coexistence and cooperation, should be the

business philosophy of public institutions.

The government will also renew its stance.

It will guarantee maximum independence so each entity may freely challenge and innovate."

The President also addressed his flagship policy of income-led growth, calling it a

matter of survival -- not a matter of choice.

He added that the government will mobilize all of its available policy measures to change

the structure of the economy and work to expand the country's growth potential,... saying

the current economic structure is only fueling polarization,... which can never ensure the

country's sustainable growth.
