EASY PEASY CHEESY - Simple Cream Cheese from Yogurt - Duration: 4:23.

Hi and a huge welcome to Steve's kitchen Have you ever made cream cheese before? I'd

love to have your comments down below. I know it's super simple to make. Now let's

get and talk about the two methods which are most commonly used. The first method

is to take a regular whole full fat milk that is and just heat it up and add some

citric acid, which separates out the curds

and then you can strain that and make a most delicious cream cheese. This is a

method commonly used and I've done it myself.

The second method and the one I'm going to be demonstrating today, which I prefer,

is one that we used to make a lot when our kids were younger because we made a

lot of homemade yogurts and you quite often have spare yogurt around. It's very

easy to turn those yogurt curds into a cream cheese which I think has just that

extra little bit of flavour by way of the cultures from the yogurt. So if you've

got some greek or normal yogurt for that matter at home and you want to use it

and make some lovely delicious cream cheese, that will rival those

Philadelphia's and actually taste a lot more flavorsome, then this is how. Now one

of the advantages of greek yogurt over regular yogurt is it's already a

strained yogurt so some of the whey is already out of here and we're getting

more bang for our buck. We'll start by flavoring our yogurt if

you want to ,you don't have to add flavoring to it but I'm going to put it

into a bowl. I'm going to put half a teaspoon of salt in with my yogurt.

Salting the yogurt curds is important to draw the whey out. Now you can decide

whether you want to further flavor this with garlic or any sort of fresh herbs

you like. I really like to use Italian herbs. It's a mixture of sort of garlic

salts and and regular parsley, sometimes we've used cayenne pepper or turmeric.

Just thoroughly mix that through, now just the look of that makes me think I

want to add a little more herbs, so I've gone for a teaspoon and a half of

Italian mixed herbs. Now taste your mixture, it's going to give you an idea

of what it's going to taste like as a cream cheese. It will be more intense

than this so don't be tempted to over season it. Now we're going to

condense this yogurt by draining it through a sieve and some cheesecloth.

Pour your yogurt into the cheesecloth

and then what I like to do is just fold the cheesecloth over into the center. Now

the whey is already starting to drip out. Now when I used to make this for the

children when they were younger, we had a conical shaped sieve and it made this

lovely little pyramid of cream cheese but this will work just as well. You want

to set this aside in the fridge overnight or for several hours until

most of the whey or majority of the whey anyway has come out and I'll show you

what it looks like when it's ready. I decided to leave that overnight so it's

had about eight hours and you can see here just how much whey has drained out

of the curds. I'll just pour it into a glass.

So it's time to take this yogurt based cream cheese out of the muslin. You can

see just how beautiful that looks. What I tend to do now is tip this out onto a

plate, just take the muslin off and you can just wash that and reuse it but just

take a look how beautiful and creamy that is now and I'll give a little taste

test. I'm going to pop it on to a really nice cracker. Oh it smells so good. Now

this will last for four to five days in the fridge quite easily. I'm going to give

this a try.

Well that cracker is super hard but the actual cream cheese is delicious. That is

much nicer than any of the Philadelphia's or anything you get in

the supermarket. It's rich, it's full of flavor. Now this is not a proper style

cream cheese, actually I've got a buddy here on YouTube Gavin Webber

Moving on to our next exercise which are planks so you're going to have around four sets 60 seconds you're

show us how to do your beautiful planks so make sure your buttocks are in and

hands are shoulder length now hold this around 60 seconds and then we're going to have 30

seconds of rest, 60 seconds The following exercise, the third is squats

we're going to have around four sets 12 repetitions and 30 seconds of rest

between each set so here we have Dao he'll show you how to do a perfect

squats so take the weight appropriately for

your strength and use it to squat so make sure your knees when you squat use your

bum, go back, and then go like this with the weight on your hands

So lets go, see how you're going to do it. Perfect. Make sure you use your bum to go back, if you don't, you'll

have knee problems okay perfect

For the last exercise we're going to do is lats pull down, so use the

appropriate amount of weight we're gonna pull it down so we have here Dao show

you hold, use your finger, your thumb to adjust the length of where you want to hold it

you need to do this for both hands like this and then you have to pull down yeah

when you pull down make sure you pull to your chest

Why a simple math mistake (and Bob Rae) could cost the NDP the Ontario election - Duration: 4:47.

You may have missed it but this happened.

It was a stunning admission with less than three

three weeks to go before the election the NDP admitting over the weekend that there is a

$1.4 billion costing error in their platform.

"The Ottawa Citizen" reported that the NDP had wrongly

categorized a $700-million reserve fund as revenue.

So how does $700 million become 1.4 billion?

Well, first you have to know what a reserve fund is.

By law, governments must set aside money just in case something unexpected happens

that requires immediate funding.

But here's the thing

reserve funds have to be counted as an expense in the budget.

You have to assume that you're gonna spend it.

The NDP's initial platform had these 700 million listed as a revenue

But not only is it not a revenue. It's an automatic deficit.

So while the NDP platform looked like this.

It should have looked like this.

We've fixed the problem that was identified

This kind of mistake would be embarrassing for any political party

but it looks especially bad for the Ontario NDP.

Not only because the party has been fending off accusations that its numbers don't add up.

Or because leader Andrea Horwath has talked a lot about how thoroughly they check the numbers.

It's because of this guy.

if you're over 50, you're probably cursing at your screen right now

And if you're under 50

You may recognize him as a Liberal MP or the interim leader of the federal Liberal Party.

Either way

that's Bob Rae.

Despite the fact that he was elected premier before I was born

and that he then left the party to become a Liberal

Bob Rae's legacy as premier has haunted the Ontario NDP for over two decades.

As Premier

and President of the Council

In a nutshell, Rae was elected Premier of Ontario as Canada entered a recession.

He tried to spend his way out of it and the province racked up a lot of debt.

His government then increased taxes and tried to save money by

forcing public service workers to take unpaid days off.

Which became known as "Rae Days."

He angered a lot of people across the political spectrum

Especially his own NDP labour base.

Now, you can argue that it's the recession that caused all the other

Bad problems not vice-versa; that in fact, Bob Rae was just stuck being premier at a lousy time to be premier.

But memories are long in Ontario

and anything that reminds Ontarians of the Bob Rae government

would tend to be a bad news for the NDP.

The fallout from Rae's time in office was

massive for the Ontario NDP

The party had won 74 seats in 1990

the most in the province's history.

In the next election they only won 17.

In the five election since

the party still hasn't fully recovered.

So, it makes sense then

that this time around Horwath had a fully costed platform from the outset

after all the province's finances

have been centre stage this election.

Doug Ford talks about how he's good at managing money

but still hasn't revealed how he plans to pay for anything.

Kathleen Wynne has lost credibility since the province's Auditor General

accused the Liberals of Understating deficit projections by about $5 billion.

And then there's Horwath

who plans to run a deficit but one not as big as the Liberals.

This time around the NDP has a real shot of winning.

Horwath has the opportunity to attract all of the anti Kathleen Wynne voters

that aren't taken with Doug Ford's style of politics.

A recent poll found that nearly half of the NDP voters are voting for the party

just in order to prevent the Liberals and the Progressive Conservatives from winning.

Right now, it's starting to look like nothing can slow the NDP down

but—

if anything could it would be

a dumb arithmetic mistake

the sort of thing that you could you would assume that a high school student would be able to avoid

one that

reminds people of their preexisting assumption that the NDP

Shouldn't be trusted with public finances

something that reminds Ontarians of the Bob Rae days.

So for those reasons together, this is

not a trivial problem for the NDP.

It's one that they must be really regretting and one that could hurt their chances going forward.

So if you live in Ontario go check your mail.

You probably have a little card in it that explains exactly how you can vote.

the election is on June 7th, so

I'll be quite restless at night or may sometimes waking up with pain in middle

of the night

It's estimated that between twenty and thirty percent of people actually have

some episodes of waking due to pain through the night spending more time

awake than asleep. This is the reality for millions of Australians who struggle

to shut-eye almost every night. My sleep was quite erratic you know I'll try to

get bed, but I might not be able to get to bed, it might be a couple of hours. Jim Lee has spent

years trying to get a good night's sleep because of constant back and neck pain

and he's not alone but incredibly he claims the pillow has changed everything

Having the right position getting the right position of the pillow just catch

me makes me get go to bed so much easier and I get a much better night sleep as well

are underlying causes going on inside the person's daily habit that then

the night this will take a lot of pressure off your lower back.

S. Korea's Moon says more simple inter-Korean summits like the 2nd Moon, Kim meeting... - Duration: 2:52.

President Moon Jae-in stressed the importance of being able to meet more easily and casually

with his North Korean counterpart... just like they did over the weekend.

The liberal leader ordered his aides to devise necessary measures... as there will be more

such instances in the future.

Our chief Cheongwadae correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off.

"One of the greatest scenes from the first summit was your crossover to the North for

10 seconds.

I feel bad that I don't get to welcome and treat you properly; the way I would have wanted

to.

"Chairman Kim's popularity has soared in South Korea.

I think the fact that the leaders of South and North Korea could so easily meet up at

Panmunjom like this opens up a new era for inter-Korean relations.

Once unimaginable... in fact, up until this past weekend, that is... this kind of a casual

meeting is what the rest of us may witness more often in the future between leaders of

two sides separated by the most heavily fortified border in the world.

Or it's at least what South Korean President Moon Jae-in hopes for.

Speaking to his top aides two days after his unannounced face-to-face with North Korean

leader Kim Jong-un on the northern side of the Demilitarized Zone - the border area that

separates the two Koreas - President Moon ordered necessary arrangements be made for

future meetings of such... as he plans to make these "a normal routine between friends."

"The latest inter-Korean summit was extra meaningful in that the leaders easily got

in contact, easily made an appointment and easily met to discuss urgent matters without

complicated procedures and formalities, just like a casual meeting."

The South Korean president asked his aides to come up with measures... keeping in mind

that similar instances could happen in the future... to ensure there are no gap in the

line of military command, keeping national security council

members on stand by, making sure there are balanced

on-spot media coverage as well as notifying related countries before and after such meetings.

"Holding regular formal summits, such as the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit at Panmunjom this

past April or the one scheduled in Pyongyang this fall, are extremely important for the

development of inter-Korean relations."

"The South Korean president who's long held such vision believes what would really expedite

the advancement of cross border relations between the two Koreas are these impromptu

meetings between the two leaders on either side of the border... on needs basis.
