News on Youtube May 29 2018

Good mornin-afternoo-vening, dear viewers and welcome to Driftland: The Magic Revival,

a fantasy-set real-time-with-pause 4X which casts you in the role of a powerful mage capable

of shaping the game map with the simplest moves of your hand and a couple of shifts

of your finger.

Not only that, but it is the only game - as far as I know - in which buildings appearing

seemingly out of nowhere not only makes sense from a game-world perspective, but the mechanics

behind it is crucial to the overall gameplay experience.

But before I dive in deeper into how Driftland works, please keep in mind to subscribe and

click that bell notification button, it really helps.

Driftland: The Magic Revival sets you up as a Mage Overlord, starting with a small Castle

on one of the many floating land masses that make up your world now.

The planet wasn't always made up of floating islands, however at some point in the distant

past, a massive magical war erupted almost destroying the planet.

The survivors, seeing that they would almost surely be destroyed if they continue, pooled

their remaining magic to save what was left of the planet.

And that's the situation you have now, a world made up of floating islands instead

of massive land masses or bodies of water.

Magic had been on the down-low for many ages after that massive last spell was cast but

recently magic returned to the world and with it, magic-users.

You are one such magic-user.

And this gives you the unique abilities required to create a more cohesive kingdom out of the

various scattered islands strewn around the map.

So now that I set up the game story enough for whatever I go on to say to make sense,

let's start with the graphics and music.

Driftland: The Magic Revival looks and moves extremely good.

And that's something that's that much more important to stress when you consider

that this is in fact, an indie effort.

It takes the realistic yet representative approach to how buildings look.

Meaning that the overall art design is a realistic one however, due to the several and cool island-centric

mechanics, the buildings you'll be making are more a representation of what the buildings

are supposed to be, they're large enough to look good and make some sense in terms

of gameplay, but they're not really proportionate with what the territories the islands are

supposed to represent, or indeed with the individual units that you can create and who

will work for you.

Sound and musicwise, the game's equally solid.

Nothing really noteworthy in terms of music just to say that it's a very fantasy-appropriate

soundtrack and it doesn't get repetitive or annoying after several hours of play, and

this is a 4X, so several hours of play are not only suggested, they're kinda required

for maximum enjoyment.

This is one of those games that really needs a tutorial.

Not that there are games that can do without one - but Driftland has some very thematic

mechanics that one has to understand properly in order to master their use, these are things

you won't really find in Civilization or Stellaris.

So the tutorial does a great job at taking you through the basics of kingdom construction

and citizen management but also shows you the basics of what your magic can do, in terms

of the floating islands.

Thanks to your magic you can see through the fog of war, which you'll need in order to

place a portal gate on a new island.

These are called Gates of Tyrr and they're great especially at the start of the game

because it allows you to explore a large number of islands from afar.

Exploration is a major part of the game, at least in the beginning and throughout the

mid-game because you'll not only find caches of random resources on various islands - which

can be a great boon at the start of a game - but they are also where you'll find the

resources you'll need to further expand.

Amongst other things.

Once you've decided a particular island is worth investing further into - you can

then use your magical powers to physically move the island closer to your already inhabited

ones and connect them via bridges.

The connection via the Gates of Tyrr are only temporary and they do cost mana, so they're

not a very efficient long-term connection method, that's what bridges are for.

Keep in mind that your islands need to be connected to each other - either via portals

or bridges - in order for you to reap the benefits of whatever resource producing buildings

you have on the islands.

The tutorial also introduces you to the idea that while you are this almost all-powerful

mage, capable of building things with just a couple of clicks and the power to move land-masses

at your will, the units you create are not your puppets, as such you have to incentivise

them with money rewards in order for them to do things, such as exploration, geological

surveys or attacking enemies.

You can do all of those things using Gates of Tyrr, initially, and the geological survey

is crucial because you won't see all of the resources that an island has to offer

as soon as you clear the fog of war.

You'll only see the amount of basic resources - namely wood and stone - you can produce

from it.

However, there are several other things which you'll need, in order to develop your kingdom,

that have to be surveyed for.

Only once you know all the resources an island has to offer, can you make a properly informed

decision as to whether or not said island is worth you spending the resources to magic

the thing close to you and connect with a bridge.

Because once you connect an island to your main kingdom, even if you don't build anything

on it, your building upkeep cost will go up.

Mo' land mo' taxes, I guess.

Mo' people mo' taxes for sure though, and here's where the main balancing act

in terms of resources happens.

The fundamental resources that the game is build on are your population number, food

and gold.

The more people you have, the more gold they generate by paying taxes, the more food they'll

require.

You can generate food with your particular food producing building - because each of

the four races has its own thing - and sending some of the people to work.

Problem is, all the citizens who produce any sort of resource - be it food, stone, rubies,

mana what have you, don't also pay taxes.

Which means you need to constantly, and I mean constantly, keep an eye on your food

and gold production, and expand your population steadily but carefully so that you don't

get in a situation where you either run out of food because too many extra people need

to eat all of a sudden, or you empty your treasury because you've been building too

many houses all of a sudden and the population isn't going up fast enough to put you in

the black.

Now, Driftland could just have easily been a very combat-focused RTS if it weren't

for the rather challenging resource management that has to be done and the fact that it has

several speed settings.

A great and quite crucial feature to any 4X or city-builder, Driftland has a bunch of

faster speeds that one can use while waiting for a particular building to finish magic-ing

itself up, or gathering some resources to do something with them.

Equally as important is the active pause feature which has this great little effect when you

push the button.

The graphics get a bit blurry and there's a slow-down sound effect accompanied by a

change in music pitch.

It's a nice little touch that makes using the feature a bit less mundane of a thing.

Even though we're dealing with a 3D environment, which allows you to zoom in and out quite

a bit.

In fact, you can zoom out till you only see the map as well, a map, but there is no camera

rotation in the game.

This might be added later but I have to say that it's not really a minus for the game,

considering how weird and abstract the connected islands get to become, I think being able

to rotate the camera as well would make it a bit too confusing.

Despite you not being able to directly order your units, they will automatically attack

enemies when any part of your kingdom is attacked.

You will need to incentivise them with a reward for exploration or attacking when you wish

to begin an assault.

Combat is mostly automatic since there's not a lot of strategy to be had considering

the mechanics of the game, but the devz make up for this by giving you power to directly

attack your enemies.

Every race in the game, has access to a direct damage spell, a damage-over-time spell, a

freezing spell, an area of effect spell and a massive spell that damages both units and

structures in a large area of effect.

They all do more or less the same thing but with a different thematic flavor depending

on the race you're playing.

Also, considering the fact that everything happens either on or across floating islands,

flying units will be the main means of attacking and defending.

Interesting thing is that none of the races can actually generate flying units.

Instead, you'll have to explore the map and find nests which generate a limited number

of flying mounts, which your combat units can then get onto and fly into battle with.

These mounts are really expensive and usually the nests will only generate one or two, with

the option of increasing that number by one if you invest your progress points into that

a particular feature called Extensive Breeding.

Progress points are similar to the Lore points in Northgard.

You generate them by exploration, vanquishing your enemies and assigning workers to a House

of Scholars.

Then you can use them to improve one of three major aspects of your race.

Magic, warfare or economy.

Any of the options offered on these various paths offering you some permanent passive

buffs to either your economy, combat units or spells.

You might be prone to forgetting about these points however you'll discover that they

can be quite useful even if the benefit they offer isn't that large to begin with.

Keep in mind that most, if not all of them, apply to a larger number of either buildings

or units, and as such, really add up in the end.

One of my favorite ones to start with is Finance Reform because it lowers building upkeep,

thus taking a bit of the pressure off your Treasury and allowing you to continue growing.

So I've touched upon the decent number of spells that you have at your disposal throughout

the review.

I mentioned your sight and portaling spells and the combat ones, but there is a separate

category of spells that only has to do with the floating islands.

These spells can be used exclusively upon the islands.

The most commonly used one will be the first spell that allows you to move islands around.

As I said earlier, to bring a resource-rich island closer to your inhabited ones, or push

a small or resource-poor island away because it doesn't benefit you occupying the space.

But there are a few more island-based spells that you have access to and these tend to

come in use towards the mid- to late-game, when you have a lot of mana stored up.

The second spell will allow you to terraform an island into a biome appropriate for your

race.

See, each race has its own particular type of island that it can thrive on.

You can only build your food producing structures on appropriate islands, otherwise they won't

work.

Similarly, resource producing buildings will only work at half-capacity if they're set

on an island that does not match your race's biome.

So terraforming resource-rich islands is a thing that becomes quite important later in

the game.

Keep in mind though, that you can't cast this on your own, you'll need at least one

spellcasting unit active in order for it to happen.

But once it does, the animation and visual effect is quite wonderful to watch.

Then the third spell allows you to literally summon an island into existence.

The island will match your race's biome and will have randomly generated resources

and the last spell allows you to completely destroy islands.

This one is an incredibly costly spell but it is a great way of assuring that an enemy

doesn't get a foothold back on an island which you've already razed to the ground.

On the other hand, there's a cheaper way of doing that, and this is one very cool combat

option possible only in this game.

You can simply steal an enemy's islands, if you manage to destroy the bridges connecting

it to the other islands, and then casting the first spell to move it away from his influence

and then connect it to your floating island archipelago.

Then there's another separate category of spells which will be completely unique to

each reach of the races and I'll not get into those as well, just rest assured, there's

lots of ways of doing things in the game when it comes to magic.

Now, the game is still in Early Access and it might still be there for awhile.

The developers are working on adding the fourth and final race to game as well as adding a

bunch of other features such as multiplayer and campaigns for each of the races.

And the game is extremely playable as is, so if you're into everything I've described

up until now - you should get in on the Early Access as soon as possible because the game

will only get that much bigger and better as time goes on.

And that wraps it up for what I hope was an informative look at Driftland: The Magic Revival.

Thank you for watching, be kind subscribe and seeya next time.

NCLEX Antihypertensives: ACE Inhibitors & ARBs | NCLEX RN Review 2018 - Duration: 6:14.

Welcome to this video tutorial - we're going to look at a couple of antihypertensive drugs,

ACE inhibitors and ARBs.

Be sure to check out our pharmacology playlist for other antihypertensives, such as calcium

channel blockers, beta blockers, and diuretics.

When studying these drugs, it's helpful to be familiar with the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone

system, which plays an important role in regulating blood pressure and fluid balance.

Renin, which is released by the kidneys, stimulates the formation of angiotensin in blood and

tissues, which in turn stimulates the release of aldosterone from the adrenal cortex.

If the RAA system is abnormally active, blood pressure will be too high. There are many drugs

that interrupt different steps in this system to lower blood pressure.

ACE inhibitors are considered 'first-line therapy' in the treatment of stage 1 hypertension.

The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is mainly located in the endothelial lining of

blood vessels, which is where most angiotensin II is produced.

ACE inhibitors block this enzyme that normally converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II,

a powerful vasoconstrictor.

By blocking the production of angiotensin II, ACE inhibitors decrease vasoconstriction

(causing vasodilation), and decrease aldosterone production (which reduces the retention of

sodium and water).

Because these drugs are effective in treating hypertension, they also have beneficial effects

on the heart, blood vessels, and kidneys.

Therefore, they are also used to treat heart failure because they decrease peripheral vascular

resistance, cardiac workload, and ventricular remodeling (changes to the heart resulting

from injury to the heart muscle).

ACE inhibitors are often used in conjunction with a diuretic in treating hypertension and

heart failure.

They are also given to improve post-MI survival, when added to the standard therapy of aspirin,

a beta blocker, and a thrombolytic.

Specific drugs include captopril (the first ACE inhibitor marketed), benazepril, enalapril

(Vasotec), fosinopril, lisinopril, moexipril, quinapril, and ramipril.

Note that each ACE inhibitor ends with 'pril.'

Ace inhibitors are well absorbed orally, producing effects within 1 hour that last approximately

24 hours.

Overall, they are well-tolerated and have a low incidence of side effects.

There is however, a common annoying side effect of persistent coughing that affects 10-20%

of patients.

Hypotension can also be a problem when an ACE inhibitor is started, especially in patients

with fluid volume deficit.

Hyperkalemia may also develop in patients with diabetes or renal impairment, those taking

NSAIDs, potassium supplements, or potassium-sparing diuretics.

ACE inhibitors are contraindicated during pregnancy and have a black box warning, as

their use can cause injury and even death to a developing fetus.

Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers (ARBs) have very similar effects to ACE inhibitors and

are also used for hypertension, heart failure, and post-MI.

However, their mechanism of action is very different.

Instead of inhibiting the formation of angiotensin II, as ACE inhibitors do, ARBs compete with

angiotensin II for tissue binding sites and block the angiotensin II receptors on blood

vessels and the heart, causing a decrease in arterial blood pressure by decreasing systemic

vascular resistance.

ARBs are similar to ACE inhibitors in their effects on blood pressure and are as effective

as ACE inhibitors in the management of hypertension and heart failure.

They have a low incidence of side effects and do not cause a persistent cough or hyperkalemia.

Patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis should not be given ARBs or ACE inhibitors,

because they both can lead to renal failure in that particular patient.

Overall, the drugs are well tolerated, but there is a black box warning during pregnancy.

Specific drugs include candesartan, eprosartan, irbesartan, losartan (the first ARB), olmesartan,

telmisartan, azilsartan, and valsartan.

Valsartan is the only ARB approved for post-MI.

Note that each ARB ends with 'sartan.'

Some ARBs are combined with hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), if they are not effectively controlling

blood pressure when given alone.

Let's look at a couple of questions to review…

When giving discharge instructions to a patient that has just started taking an ACE inhibitor,

the nurse should let the patient know that which of the following is a common adverse

reaction to therapy with an ACE inhibitor?

Muscle weakness Constipation

Dry, non productive, persistent cough Tinnitus

Number 3 is right!

A persistent cough is a common side effect of an ACE inhibitor due to the increase in

bradykinin levels.

A patient tells the nurse that he has not been able to tolerate lisinopril and wants

to be sure he will be given a different blood pressure medication when he goes home from

the hospital.

The nurse should check that his medication is replaced with which type of equally effective

antihypertensive?

Diuretic Angiotensin receptor blocker

Beta blocker Calcium channel blocker

If you chose #2, angiotensin receptor blocker, you're right!

ARBs have very similar effects to ACE inhibitors, without the side effects.

Great job!

PUBG: 1000 HOURS REVIEW - Duration: 5:44.

Whoa!

I've played PUBG for 1000 hours?

Okay, Playerunknown's Battleground, or PUBG for short,

is a Battle Royale game where we,

the player,

have to survive and go up against

99 people in order to win the round.

It was developed and published by PUBG Corps

and released via Steam's Early Access program in March 2017,

with the full version being released back in December 2017

It was all the hype back then

Everyone played it,

it has the highest number of concurrent players

and also is one of the best-selling games on Steam.

I bought the game in June last year and have been playing it since then

and in this video,

ladies and gentlemen,

I proudly present

This game is straight-up

and it's getting worse day by day

Graphics is

somehow more demanding than ever before.

When I bought it back in June,

I played it on my MacBook Pro 2015

at 720p,

with everything at very low

and got about 35 fps.

Sometimes it drops into 20 fps

Then the performance gradually got better.

Back in November or December, when they released the second map,

I remember getting 30 fps

while the game was running at 1080p

Like, can you believe that?

1080p PUBG on a MacBook?

Of course,

I did lower it to 1680x1050

to get a balance between graphics and performance,

but still,

that's impressive.

Those were the times I enjoyed playing PUBG the most

because the performance was decent enough.

And then SOMEHOW,

MAGICALLY,

THE PERFORMANCE DROPPED

TO HELL.

WHAT THE FUCK BLUEHOLE,

OR PUBG CORPS

OR WHOEVER MAKES THIS GAME,

EXPLAIN THIS SHIT.

I get half of the fps at the same resolution,

and frequent freezing!

My game freezes or crashes

OR BOTH

DURING COMBAT,

WHEN I WAS HAVING ADVANTAGES OVER MY ENEMY!

You released a 10gb update

for some graffiti on building walls

and then took the FPS to hell.

That is unacceptable!

Fix this shit!

Now over the course of one year PUBG has been released,

there were so many skins

For both characters and guns that came with it

You have like what?

5 different types of lootboxes now

with the chance of redeeming rare items so low

that it practically became gambling now.

Skins won't improve the quality of gameplay,

stop investing in it so you can make more corporate money

and listen to the community,

fix the existing problems

and turn PUBG into a good game instead.

And what's up with your servers?

I paid $30 for your unfinished game,

and I can't even play it?

How lovely going into PUBG,

expecting some quality time killing people online

and encountering

"Servers are too busy at the moment"

or having to wait for 10 minutes

for the game to load

and dropping at the end of the flight.

Not to mention picking up loots has a noticeable delay,

Weapon distributing is unbalanced,

so on and so forth.

In conclusion,

I don't like this game.

Now let's talk about the audio of the game

This game has phenomenal sounds.

From the sounds of the guns to the environment,

the slightest movement of you or your enemies

coming from far to near,

from your left ear to your right ear.

and even the little details

such as the buzzing noise of the lamp.

It's absolutely outstanding.

The graphics when maxed out actually looks good.

Cheaters have been significantly reduced over the last few months,

at least on the Asia server.

Now I rarely get sniped with a P1911

from miles away,

probably like

one in a hundred matches.

Playing this game with no cheaters

brings a lot more of the "survival" element to the table

you actually feel like you have to do your best to survive

and not "I'm just gonna be killed by some cheaters anyway,

why bother trying?"

And finally,

playing this game will bring a lot of quality time to you and your friends,

provided you actually have friends

and they have PUBG, of course.

Whether it's calling out strategies for the team to follow

sighting enemies

and alert the sniper guy

in your 4-member-squad

to take them out of the game when you're trying hard,

or just simply trolling around with your best buds

and just having fun,

this game will simply deliver.

I don't like this game,

but I'll keep playing it.

Pear FlavourArt – Review & Recipe [A sweet and fruity flavor ] - Duration: 5:04.

Goodday and Welcome to another review.

Im john from diy eliquid recipes and today Im here to take a look at a very nice and

realistic fruit flavor and also give you a great recipe that goes along with it.

So this is pear from flavourart.

Pear is one of the staple fruit flavors in eliquid making.

Not only it tastes very true to the real fruit juice, but it can also help other eliquids

taste more juicy and fresh.

You can use it as the primary flavor to make sweet fruity eliquids or as an accent on the

side of other fruits to give them a boost or a richer taste.

A good starting ratio range to use pear as a base is from 5 up to 8% and as a side accent

it works well from 2 up to 4 or 5%.

As a side note I have to say that this is a very light tasting concentrate so if you

use it as your base try using only a very small amount of other fruits since they will

overpower it very easily.

Now if you want to make a solo eliquid to try this flavor alone, a good mild mix is

from anywhere at 6% up to 8 % and for a very strong taste you can use it starting from

8% all the way up to 12% maximum.

Solo this flavor is actually not bad.

It has a very light taste that definitely needs a little help for a full eliquid flavor.

Still though you will be able to taste the pear flavor a lot and it will have a very

nice and realistic vapor.

It is sweet enough on it's own but 0.5% of sweetener seems to help the flavor more.

if you are planning on vaping pear alone.

Also another tip, is to add 1% of an apple concentrate to it, it can be fuji or any double

apple or apple flavor.

This seems to add some extra depth to the pear taste without interfering or altering

the flavor.

And the third and last way you can use this flavor is using 1% of pear in any fruit recipe.

Since as I mentioned earlier this is a very light flavor,so when using it only at 1% it

will add extra freshness and juiciness to your eliquids and help bring all the fruits

a lot more forward inside the recipe.

This property is especially helpful if you are using heavy creams inside or together

with your fruit recipes.

Now I will move on to quickly show you a recipe I prepared including this flavor.

This is a twist to another recipe I released last year but changed to add more emphasis

to the pear.

This is a very fruit cocktail with a lot of flavor and a good amount of sweetness without

overdoing it.

So this is the recipe.

The pomegranate from capella even though its used at the same ratio with the pear, it doesn't

affect the taste much.

Pomegranate is a slightly weak flavor so here it helps to add a dark twist to the rest of

the fruits and help them all blend together better.

Same goes for the mashrmallow.

Since you will not taste it at all in this recipe, but what it will do is work in the

background to smooth things out.

The sweetener was lowered to 0.5% this time since most of the concentrates used here today

already contain enough ethyl Maltol as is.

So all together at a higher than usual total flavor of 14% you will have a

very nice and fruity eliquid to vape on.

All the fruits here work well with each other and none of them will stand out or overpower

the rest.

There will be a symphony of flavors all making one fruit taste together.

For steeping I will recommend only 3 days but you can experiment with that as always.

Now back to the review, Overall pear from flavourart is a very good and useful as you

can see flavor.

There is also an alternative which is equally good and that is the pear from Inawera, you

could try either one and both are excellent.

but if you want to use pear as a booster then in my opinion the flavourart version will

work better for that.

So that's all for this flavour today.

I hope this video helped you in any way.

Thank you for watching, and I will see you again next time.

Prima Watercolor Confections Review Part 2 No Line Watercolouring - Duration: 6:04.

hi this is Debbie and this is part two one review of prima watercolor

confections I will link part 1 of the video in the youtube description below

where you will find a first look and my thoughts on the tropical senescence prim

Colonel Walter kind of confections pallets but part two this review I will

be using the Prima watercolor confections palettes to paint a floral

greeting card with a no-name watercolor style this is my favorite way to use

watercolors and as such I felt that it would test the paints to the fullest in

a style that I was comfortable with I will say however that whenever you use

new supplies be it paints brushes or paper it does take some time and

experimenting to get used to the way they react as each has its own

individual properties he wouldn't drive a Ferrari and expected to behave the

same way as a Lamborghini not that I've driven either both of ugliest cars and I

would love to drive them but each would give a unique experience onto this cart

then I'm using the stunning large floral arrangement from the beautiful flower

set from Simon Says Stamp but place the stamp in the Misti along

with a piece of arches cold press watercolor art I need to clean the stamp

which I did so with hero arts ultra clean and so previously tried out the

start with black ink I never clean my stamps unless I

absolutely have to however as I wanted to stamp the image

with a light ink it was necessary to clean the stamp up a bit first our use

done tickling and distress ink to stamp the image you think is light in color

and water reactive so it would disappear when painted to give a no line

watercolor look I stamped the image multiple times until I could see the

detail and the flowers or still being subtle and it won't dominate the

painting I choose the color palette of the lovely muted adore from the essence

palette along with coconut from the tropicals palette for the leaves are

combined palms and tiki to give a nice tea saturated green for the leaves which

turned up the muted colors I've chosen for the flowers I don't know why it's

taken me so long to discover this but I recently started painting with two

brushes one for the paint and one for the damp brush of water previously I

used to add the concentrated paint and then rinse my brush off slightly to

blend the paint out however so much of the paint ended up in my water jar which

was such a waste using two brushes means that I can keep the paint on my

dedicated paint brush to add concentrated spots of color to areas

where you'd expect shadows and deeper color such as the base of petals or

where one petal overlaps another I can then use my brush which is just done

with water to draw out the color over the rest of the petal and blend it to

the lightest shades with the lightt sitting it I moved to round the flowers

and the wet and dry technique I'm adding paint directly to the card and then

drawing it out with a damp brush this technique is a great way to get lots of

contrast between the deepest darks and the airy lights as I mentioned in part 1

of this review of prima water her confections the paint's remot easily

given concentrated color which dilutes out beautifully but only oddity I found

was that the paint's didn't blend out the distress ink as easily as I'm used

to instead the painting too claimed the ink

silently to create lines in the shade of the paint for example the shading lines

of the stamp petals seemed to absorb some of the adorn paint to give shading

lines in a mid shade of a door although unusual didn't mind this effect

and later on when they had to details to the petals and leaves by accentuate to

the shading lines further whilst on the petals dry I've moved on to the leaves

with my mixture of plums and tiki from the tropicals palette and I'll also

thought in just Tiki for the stains I ended this brown while the Leafs were

still wet to get that lovely blending of the two colors when they meet for truth

the bloom so choose juice coconut or warm yellow color and led the green into

flower receptacle at the base of the Bert bleed into the yellow and I also

wanted to touch Pattaya for warmth however later on I turned to hippies cos

which when added to a coconut gives a peachy go to the flowers for the leaf

spring dropping down at the bottom to the arrangement and mix palms and

coconut to give a slightly more yellow-green mixing colors that we used

elsewhere in the painting I find this a cohesive feel to the color palette again

I brought in a touch of tiki for the stand while the leaves are still wet and

I love how the two colors blended together for the stems of the flowers I

used coconut and tiki with the Nomad water curling style where

you don't have visible minors to help define

from another it's important to use every trick available to create definition so

shadows and highlights burying color and saturation detail my lines versus areas

with more open space or these pieces of the information give the impression of

dimension and had the eye to see the form of the flowers and leaves are you

selected the paint at least but is an IOC used a solution of perfect pearls

towards bhakti splatters to when the panel was dry and run it through my die

cutting machine with a stitched rectangle dye my head of foam adhesive

to the back of the panel and I did it to a card base cut and scored from hundred

pounds Neenah Desert Storm card I chose the sentiment from the beautiful flower

set and placed in the misty with a piece of slate card art routed the card with

anti-static powder bag to help prevent embossing powder randomly sticking to

the cart and then stamp the sentiment in clear embossing ink before sprinkling

with white embossing powder tapping off any excess on heat setting I trim the

sentiment to a skinny manner and added over the water colored panel with foam

adhesive finally I added a trio of crystal reflection sequins held in place

with new beau deluxe adhesive and that completes my note on watercolor card

using the stunning beautiful flower set from some system along with the fun

tropicals and essence prima water cut confections palettes

I'll leave links in the YouTube description below to the products that

I've used today as well as the link to the coordinating blog post over at won't

do to design calm and also pop one of this video looking in more detail at the

pre mortar colors I want to thank you for joining me today if you've enjoyed

this tutorial I'd be delighted if you subscribe to this channel thanks and

I'll see you next time

Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Review - The Ultimate Review - Duration: 9:59.

Donnie: Okay, I know it sounds kind of nerdy, but I've wanting to do toothbrush reviews

for quite some time.

Why?

Because I've been using toothbrushes for a long time.

And before we kick off today's content, please make sure to hit that red subscribe button

so that way you can subscribe to The Japan Guy channel.

And also make sure to hit that notification bell so you can find out when new content

comes out each and every week.

Alright, let's get to it.

Wait a minute.

Hopefully I've been using toothbrushes for a long time.

What I meant to say is that I've been using electric toothbrushes for a very long time.

Actually, the first toothbrush that I brought was back in 1999, maybe even early 2000.

But well over a decade, and the very first toothbrush I brought was in fact a Sonicare.

I'm going to say it was a Sonicare Elite.

So I think it's only fitting that my first big review be about a Sonicare.

And the reason I'm making this video in the first place is because of this guy.

So the current brush that I'm using, or was using, is the Sonicare FlexCare, and for some

reason something happened with the rod that's in the top of my Sonicare, and it's not vibrating

the way that it normally should, and I'm not getting a really good brush.

It's almost like I'm not feeling the tension when I'm brushing so I had two options, I

could either send this back and try to get it fixed, which would take time and energy,

or I could just upgrade.

And since I've been using this for three or four years maybe, I just decided to go ahead

and go up to the next model.

So what model are we going to be reviewing today?

If you clicked this video you probably already know,

but I have upgraded to ...

That's the drum roll sound.

... the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart.

And for those you ... See this, this a lot of Japanese writing on this box.

Reason is I actually live in Tokyo.

Have for quite some time.

But hopefully if you're watching this there'll be a comparable model should you be interested

in getting one yourself.

And now it's time to ask the question ...

What's in the box?

Donald: Now that you know what's inside the box, I'm going to try to do this

in one minute or less if I can, but I'm going to tell you all the features of the toothbrush itself.

Let's work our way from the bottom of the brush up.

So at the base of the DiamondClean Smart there is a light indicator which lets you know when

you're brushing too hard.

So when I'm brushing, if I use too much pressure, this light will flash, and I'll be able to

see it right in the mirror.

At the base of the brush there is a battery indicator that lets you know how you're doing

for charge.

And you have your five different modes, which are clean, white plus, gum health, deep clean

plus and tongue care.

And the button that I was just pressing serves two functions.

So on the DiamondClean Smart when it's off, powered off, this toggles between your different

modes.

When it's powered on, this toggles your different intensities.

So you have your highest intensity level, low and medium.

That of course is the power button.

And as we work our way up to the brush head, every brush head comes with a plastic case,

we'll just remove that for now, with the exception of the tongue cleaner, no case on the tongue

cleaner.

But when we take this off, this is your rod and the rod vibrates really fast.

That's how you get so many brush strokes with the Sonicare DiamondClean or any of the Sonicares

actually.

And on your toothbrush head itself, all DiamondClean Smart heads have this little mark on them.

That wifi mark lets you know that inside of this brush there's a chip, and that chip is

how your toothbrush connects to the app on your phone.

So that way you can know exactly how you're doing, and where you're brushing.

And that pretty much wraps it up.

Took a little longer than a minute, didn't it?

Sorry.

How much does the DiamondClean Smart cost?

Per the Philips Sonicare website it ranges from about $229 to $329, just depending on

the package that you buy.

Let's briefly talk about some of the pros and the cons of the DiamondClean Smart.

In the interest of time we're going to talk about two things that I really like about

this toothbrush, and two things that I don't like about it so much.

And we're going to limit this to features that are unique to the Sonicare DiamondClean

Smart.

One of the things that I really like about the DiamondClean Smart is that it clearly

lets you know when you're brushing too hard, and it does it in two ways.

First way is the pressure sensor on the brush head.

Hear the change in sound?

So that's a very clear audible signal that you're brushing too hard, but that is not

unique to the DiamondClean Smart.

I like the DiamondClean Smart because you can see it too, so if I'm pressing too hard,

that purple light will flash.

So it's a very clear visual cue that you're brushing too hard.

And for those of you who are culprits of over-brushing, like me, I think this is essential.

The second thing I like about the DiamondClean Smart is the app that it connects to on your

phone.

Now I think this is Sonicare's first hack at a toothbrushing app, so it isn't perfect,

and I just wanted to say that straight up, but it's something that will develop and will

get better over time.

And I think the implications behind it are huge, so it's a great way to find out where

and how you're brushing, and it's a great way to keep track of your dental hygiene,

and most importantly, it's a great way for you to show your dental health care professional

what you're doing, and they can better assist you and let you know what things you can do

to improve your dental hygiene.

And now for my two dislikes.

The first one for me with the DiamondClean Smart, it's got to be toothbrush heads, guys.

I think they're over-priced.

Feels like toothbrush heads with Sonicares get more and more expensive.

And I don't know if the extra cost is justified.

So for example the gum care brush, I don't even use it.

I don't necessarily think you need it.

When you go to a dental office to get a cleaning done, and they use their professional-grade

hand tool, they don't have a hundred different pieces for that thing.

They have one type of brush head, and, sure, if it wears down they replace it, but they

don't have so many different brush heads.

They clean you with that same type of tool every time, and then they just floss you up

at the end.

Now if you got rid of that brush, that would save money.

And I really just stick to the standard brush and the tongue cleaner, because I think that's

great too.

But I don't think all of the brushes are necessary.

That's one issue.

And my last dislike, or con, about the DiamondClean Smart is the case.

I think they took a step back with this case.

The DiamondClean's traveling case was amazing, was great, and the USB was right there on

the side, you could just plug it straight in, boom, easy.

This one, you've got this little piece that flips off that can get lost and it's just

a little bit more cumbersome.

It's still not bad, I like the USB aspect of it, but, yeah, they need to go back to

the old case.

Time to wrap this one up, guys.

So if I had to give the DiamondClean Smart a grade ranging from A to F,

"A" being excellent and "F" being a failure, like the grades you got in school,

I would give it a very solid B+.

I wouldn't say it's the best toothbrush out there, but it's a great toothbrush if you're

serious about your dental hygiene.

Well, that's it from me today, guys, and I'll catch you on the next review.

Bye.

Donnie: And if you haven't already, guys, please don't forget to comment, share, like

and subscribe.

Til next time.

Blood and Lace: Review - Duration: 6:12.

Go wash the liquor out of your breath. We've got a big day ahead of us.

Welcome back to my Dark Corner of this Sick World.

Blood and Lace opens with a murder, shot from the killer's point of view, showing the weapon itself.

Which must have seemed a clever way to build anticipation,

until you realise that given where the hammer is and the fact that it's held rigidly there,

the murderer must have had it taped to his chin until he needed it.

It's also surprisingly flammable.

The murder leaves young Ellie going to an orphanage.

'Ellie, you're still a minor'

This seems to be one of those rare orphanages that mostly caters to adults.

'I'm nearly 21.'

No you're not. But we'll forgive that, because it's run by Gloria Grahame who starred in The Big Heat.

'All that's in the past.'

And the man from social services says it's fine.

'I inspect that house myself, twice a year '

Really? Here's a kid trying to run away.

I feel like the inspections could be more rigorous.

Much more rigorous.

Poor kid.

'I'm thirsty'

'How long have you been up here?'

I'm still thirsty.

'What I don't know won't hurt me'

So we have a gory murder and an orphanage where kids are mistreated then frozen in the basement,

and where no one questions a man carrying a bloody sack with a hand hanging out of it.

'What are you doing Tom?'

'I'm working, go back upstairs Pete.'

'Okay don't get mad'

Then there's Gloria's husband.

'He's not living but that doesn't mean he's dead'

He just likes to do impressions of Norman Bates' Mum.

'That's a good comparison'

This is alongside the usual stresses of putting teenagers in a house together.

'He looks nice'

'He's also my boyfriend'

Oh they have something in common. I'm sure it will bring them closer

and if you thought Ellie had at least put that first murder behind her then Stop!

#Hammer time#

Blood and Lace is not badly made, Gloria Grahame is excellent

'You'll be punished for this Ellie'

And it's nowhere near as pervy as you might expect,

but I worry that any conclusion that ties together those disparate plot threads will be confusing.

A worry the director seems to have shared, cos they haven't bothered.

'You've got to see it to believe it'

Ellie escapes the inescapable orphanage.

'RUN!'

Really feels like the others weren't trying.

'We don't like kids to run away from our home'

She's pursued by the mysterious hammer-wielding man,

who is not the murderer; Ellie is

and the man....

'Calvin?'

'That's right Calvin.'

This is the policeman investigating the murder of Ellie's mother,

who has dressed up as Freddie Krueger's Grandad because he found the home suspicious

and thought the best way to investigate was to make Ellie think he was the man she murdered out for revenge,

prompting her to flee the home and forcing Gloria and Tom into action.

A brilliant plan.

'You're so clever Calvin'

That results in 3 deaths.

Though I don't think the policeman cares as his real objective is Ellie herself.

'I wanna marry you'

Who is his daughter.

(

'Well evil breeds evil honey. How about it?'

When I rehash it like this it sounds confusing, but actually it's pretty Scooby Doo,

what's confusing is why anyone would put these plotlines together.

'You sure got a strange way of doing things.

'Gloria's husband was one of Ellie's Mum's clients.

'And Jameson had found other beautiful women, women like your mother'

but this has nothing to do with the murder.

In fact the orphanage plotline and the murder plotline aren't related at all.

'That's ridiculous'

and the teen romance impacts on neither of them.

'Yeah, it's all there'

All of it; frozen kids, sex in the shed, hammer murders, incest -

it's all just shit that happens to Ellie

Although she did kill her Mum, so maybe it's a morality tale.

'You and your little slut can have each other I'm clearing out.'

Thanks for watching This film was recommended to us by patreon supporter Aidan Woodard. So thanks Aaden

The film is called blood and lace the blood we get

Del Taco® | Queso Loaded Nachos Review! 🧀🌶️ - Duration: 5:46.

hey everyone it's Ian K back again with another one for ya cheaters cam-style

headed into del Taco after hours to take a look at a selection off of their

all-new late-night bites menu yeah and this one looks a little loaded as in

queso loaded so let's see what these all-new case of loaded nachos have in

store for us after I scoop 'em up through that drive-thru no problem peep

this out let me go for an order of the queso loaded nachos please regular

please actually what choices do we have tonight let's do chicken you got it it

does great thanks a lot I am so down for some cheesy nachos right now

hey yes how you doin' tonight good good good thank you awesome thanks great

thanks so much have a great night you as well buh-bye alright guys ready to satisfy

a late-night craving with me let's peep this out

we're after-hours here at Del Taco with the queso loaded nachos and as

awesome as this looks right now guys I was expecting to find some grilled

chicken on this you do have your choice of chicken the seasoned beef and carne

asada but it looks like I've got the beef here and I guess because this is

nachos we're gonna do a traditional but as you can see it looks pretty cool

they've got a really healthy portion of the seasoned ground beef on this along

with that queso blanco smothered all around it we've got some jalapenos we've

got some Tomatoes we've got some sour cream and that's all on top of some

house-made tortilla chips and guys I am really digging the presentation

even with those diced tomatoes that looks pretty fantastic and very

appetizing definitely an awesome addition for the late-night bites menu here at

Del Taco and we're gonna get into it right now guys it's the all-new queso

loaded nachos with seasoned beef here at del taco let's peep out this flavor

something tells me I'm not gonna regret getting the seasoned beef with this one

let's dive in man where to begin this is a pretty healthy portion for a little

under five bucks guys I think I'm gonna grab this chip right here in the front

and try and get as much of this stuff as I could this is really loaded up pretty

nicely here we go it's the queso loaded nachos here at Del Taco oh hold on I

most definitely got to go in one more time before I give you the breakdown

because this is pretty heavenly and I'm so glad they messed up and gave me the

beef instead of the chicken ma'am you know I want to say the last time I was

at Del Taco was maybe about a year ago and I did their queso crunch taco

I'll link to that one in the upper right-hand corner of your display I

believe I like that one but there really wasn't a lot of queso blanco in the taco

that I got from what I remember there really wasn't very much at

all guys that is easily rectified with the amount of cheese with the amount of

a delicious queso that's drizzled all over this along with the sour cream

that combination alone is ridiculously awesome I'm going in again mmm I got to

use a fork real quick for this one guys cuz the chips are getting extremely

soggy as you can see plenty of cheese plenty of sour cream and plenty of that

seasoned beef on this one I'm trying to keep as steady as possible guys there is

a lot on this one chip but I got to say the

laver overall very solid even with the diced tomatoes and the jalapenos that I

got in that first bite also another highlight this is just

truly delicious yeah that chip was shaking trying to hold all that good

stuff let's put it out of its misery mmm oh my god delicious you know that's

really the only knock with this one the chips do get pretty soggy very quickly

here this is really just minutes old and it's already kind of falling apart they

do have a lot of toppings on the top which I absolutely love for presentation

and guys the flavor is awesome but that's really where you're gonna find

all of it there it'd be nice if there was just a little bit of something in

the middle as well as the bottom just to really coat it guys but as it stands

they have a lot on the very top of this here and what you do get as you can see

is pretty plentiful mmm one more quick shot of this one guys if I can offer a

little bit of advice to you do not forget the fork trust me if you don't

have a fork things they're not gonna go well unless you like eating with your

fingers and in that case this is definitely the one to do it with because

it is really delicious yeah this one is definitely a late-night treat for sure

and I can't really hate on del taco too much for messing up on my order this

really is the way to have it with the seasoned ground beef but what do you

guys think you guys think this queso loaded nachos here at Del Taco is the

truth as far as fast-food nachos are concerned or is there something else out

there that you think I should be checking out instead of this one because

guys this is still pretty awesome drop those comments down below and definitely

let me know and that's for my overall score based upon the version that I got

tonight I'm gonna have to give the queso loaded nachos here at Del Taco or rock

solid 9 out of 10 soggy chips aside guys the flavor is insane on this and I

guess you could always spread the toppings around a bit but it would be

nice if there was just a little bit more on the bottom instead of really getting

into it on top and then you're left with nothing after because trust me it is

that tasty enough we're probably gonna do that definitely recommended and

those are my thoughts on one of the latest here at Del Taco coming at ya

after hours cheaters cam-style as we close out another episode of peep this

out guys and like I always say I've got brand new content every single week here

on my channel so while you stay tuned for the next review coming real soon in the

meantime stay frosty I'm definitely coming back to get this one again and

maybe just maybe I'll get the grilled chicken next time what do you say del

Taco can you make that a reality for me please pretty please alright guys until

next time I'll talk to you soon

2004-2018 F150 Barricade 3.5" Bull Bar - Black Excluding Raptor Review & Install - Duration: 8:15.

If you're after a bare-bone, super affordable bull bar for your 2004 and newer F-150, then

the Barricade three-and-a-half inch option shown here in black might just be for you.

This extremely popular bull bar will combine a painted stainless steel build with that

popular three-and-a-half inch diameter all for right around 100 bucks, making this thing

one of the most affordable of its kind on the site.

The Barricade will bolt into place, but since this thing will fit a wide variety of trucks,

some light trimming might be necessary for the lower air dam area.

Either way, we're gonna call this a strong one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter, and we will have a quick walk-through later in the video.

So, two quick and important things to point out here with this Barricade, first and foremost,

it's the most affordable bull bar in the three-and-a-half inch category.

Secondly, it's also gonna be the most popular as well, with 100-plus five-star reviews on

the site.

And with that said, feel free to check out the numerous positive reviews and customer-submitted

images of this product.

That way, you'll get a better idea of what to expect when you pull the trigger on this

thing for your own rig at home.

But why go with a bull bar in the first place?

Well, there will be some minor protection benefits from smaller impacts both on or off

road.

But I definitely wouldn't consider this thing a full blown piece of armor, as that simply

will not be the case.

On top of that added minor protection, a bull bar helps deliver a look a lot of truck owners

really dig while also giving you some options to mount some auxiliary lighting.

Now, I will say, if you had your heart set on a bull bar and auxiliary lighting, Barricade

actually offers another option on the site, that are HD, that incorporates a 20-inch dual

row LED light bar to the center section here.

Definitely check that thing out if you really wanna add some auxiliary lighting.

It can also be found in polished as well for around 300 bucks.

But getting back to the Barricade here, guys, and again, you're gonna be looking at a traditional

or basic design when it comes to bull bars.

And that is the single hoop design with the cross bar, and then finally, the incorporated

skid plate down below.

Now, the entire bar has been made from three-and-a-half inch tubular stainless steel and then is finished

off in a durable black paint.

Just a quick heads up here, guys, the entire package is also backed by a three-year warranty

in case you should run into any issues.

Now, again, if you are a fan of that flash, Barricade offers the same exact product that

we have on the table here in a polished finish for a couple bucks more, and they also offer

a slightly smaller version, a three-inch version, in both black and polish that will be even

more affordable than the option that we have here.

So, again, you have some options when shopping bull bars.

Feel free to check them all out on our site if you haven't already done so.

So let's switch gears and talk about the installation.

And to give you a better idea of what's expected with this job, here is a tech with a brief

walk-through.

And our first step is going to be to remove the lower plastic portion of our bumper.

You can use an upholstery tool or a screwdriver.

We just need to gain access to the frame rails here and here.

Just be careful if you're gonna reuse this later, so you don't break anything.

Now that we removed the plastic bottom portion, we have access to the frame rails.

So we're gonna now attach these U-bolts, which are gonna bolt on to these brackets.

These brackets are gonna hold on the bull bar.

So just put the U-bolt through the first hole, and then we're gonna come out the other hole.

Now we're gonna put the bracket up.

Now it's time for the good old bolt.

With the bracket in place, we're just gonna snug up the 17-millimeter bolts, but do not

over-tighten because we may need to adjust it later.

Now we're gonna do the same steps with the other side.

You bolt through the hole and then out the other hole.

So now we're gonna attach the brackets to the bull bar.

There's one for each side, and make sure you put them on the right side.

You're also gonna need a 13-millimeter bolt with a locking washer and a flat washer.

Just place it on.

Start the threads by hands.

And then when you're tightening it, just tighten it down so it stays snug, but we don't need

to fully tighten it yet.

Again, same bolt combo on the right side.

The reason we're not fully tightening it is we may need to do some adjustment when we

put it on the truck.

Now, with your brackets on, just grab a friend and we're just gonna pull this up and bolt

it up to place.

We have the bull bar on our brackets.

Now it's gonna be time to place it where we want it and then we're gonna tighten up all

the bolts.

It's also a good chance to be able to put up a light bar or any light post that you

want and then be able to easily wire it into the truck.

With our bull bar fully tightened, it's now just time to place back our plastic front

lower bumper.

Just line up the little plastic tabs, and then just place in.

A little bit of force.

And that wraps up my install of Barricade's three-and-a-half inch black bull bar.

BKXC: Live ride review of the YouTube MTB legend himself - Duration: 4:48.

my name's Guy Kesteven and for the past 21 years I've been a professional bike

tester but for the past two weeks I've been testing something completely

different YouTube legend Brian Kennedy from BKXC

as we've toured all, the some of the best trails in the UK so I figured the least I can

do is do a live ride review of the man himself. First thing I wanna say i what an absolute pleasure it's been sharing van and

trail time with this dude. He's just the best guy to travel with which is amazing

really because we didn't know each other at all

I'd seen his videos, really respected his product obviously wanted to learn some stuff

from him when he came to UK but yeah he had no idea of the itinerary

no idea who I was how I rode what an absolute pain in the ass I can be me

obviously he knows that now but he has been the most tolerant dude all the way

through totally just hung out with family hung out with Tilly dog

hung out with my friends met a whole bunch of people on the road and he's just been

stellar. As you can see the dude can ride he's ridden everything in the past two

weeks, some super black trails, some mega off-piste radical stuff taking

absolutely everything in stride and boy is this man tolerant

not only did he put up with my van, my company

for the past two weeks and I'm telling you (yeah sorry

down we go) His enthusiasm for just riding trails introducing people to

riding trails has just been so awesome and it's just been great shredding local

trails, shredding trails all over the country a load of trails I've never even done or I

haven't done for years it's just been he's opened my eyes to not just riding

possibilities, but possibilities of meeting up with fresh people and how you can live your life

with a camera and a website and totally the right attitude just go ahead and

shredding any trails you can it's just been the best two weeks I mean the weather has

been outrageous, that's the other thing Brian is a weather god the dude can turn

English weather into California weather which is just ridiculous and

another thing I absolutely have to stress is that Brian always comes

across as super chilled and relaxed and the nicest guy to meet which he is, but boy is

this boy focused. Seriously I thought I had to work ethic but this man puts me to

shame. If he's not eating eggs and lunch meat he's editing or answering comments or

just living the life. If you you think life as a youtuber is easy spend a few

hours with Brian, he will tell you, he will show you otherwise for sure. Plus and I

think it's nothing to do with you know talking on videos the guy's almost as

hungry as I am when it comes to getting that food but the thing he's most

hungry for, (yeah that's about it, just roll down the bottom)

the thing this guy's most hungry for is just showing people great trails so you

absolutely have to sign up, subscribe get on patreon support his life because this is a man

doing it right seeing the best trails all around the

world Bryan come here, I just want to say it's been an

absolutely fantastic two weeks, so solid, so good (I don't know where the

cameras pointing, apologies) okay Brian this has been an absolutely awesome

two weeks thanks for taking everything in stride from the filthiest van in the

UK to some really random shit like me taking the wrong route down Snowdon and (aw it's been great, that's what mountain biking with your buddies is all about, what all this is about.

it's always a documentary it's always the good stuff the bad stuff and

how it always ends up being a great day) And this guy is an adventurer and I

don't just mean but the trails we've ridden and the experiences we've had

whether we've been stuck on an island in floods near Birmingham coming

back from Forest of Dean. I've fed him pork scratchings, Scotch egg, Irn Bru and Black pudding and he's been totally solid on all of them this man's an absolute legend

subscribe follow like Brian thanks so much for coming over and sharing time with me and my family. "Thank you Guy, you made it all possible, it wouldn't have been possible without you.

Revenge review – Multiplex 10 Movie Minutes - Duration: 2:41.

Jason: Hi, I'm Jason.

Kurt: And I'm Kurt!

Welcome to the Multiplex 10 Movie Minutes—

—a spoiler-free movie review series featuring the staff of the Multiplex 10 Cinemas

reviewing the latest movies playing at our theater.

Jason: And we do it... in one minute.

Kurt: EACH.

Jason: We're still figuring out the format.

Kurt: Anyway... on with the reviews!

[Music plays.]

Kurt [snootily]: French writer-director Coralie Fargeat's revenge thriller...

[in a deep, evil voice] REVENGE...

[excitedly] ...is an awesome tale of brutality, survival, and... revenge!

Jason: You could at least use that thesaurus source I gave you.

Kurt: It's kind of like if in "First Blood," Rambo gave the sheriff a beej in the first scene.

Like Rambo, our heroine Jen comes to town, just doing her thingity-thing...

but when she's pushed over the edge, a demon is unleashed!

Jason: Not... literally.

Kurt: When Jen turns the tables on her attackers, it's both brutal and beautiful.

This movie is shot with a ton of style— and the practical effects are awesome!

Big, bloody explosions... organs and guts...

All exquisitely detailed! And there is SO much blood!

Buckets of gooey... sticky... goopy...

loopy... viscous...

slippery... sanguinous... splattering...

syrupy... viscid...

drippy...

mucilaginous!

B-L-O-O-D

[Music plays.]

Blood.

Jason [sighing]: "Revenge" is definitely bloody.

Ridiculously so.

And it is definitely a visually striking, singular take on the inherently gross rape-revenge thriller genre.

Fargeat cleverly up-ends, or at least side-steps, many of the nastiest elements of these films.

But "Revenge" also spends nearly the entire first act licking the lead actress with the camera...

...and it continues to ogle her after her rebirth as an action hero...

...so the film still comes across as exploitative, no matter how bad-ass she gets in the back half.

[sternly] NO.

If "Revenge" is trying to convey some sort of message about all of this,

it's... muddy, at best.

But I'm honestly not convinced that it is.

To me, it seems content to be "merely" an excellent example OF its genre,

rather than a bold reinvention of it.

And I think most action-thriller fans will think that's good enough.

Kurt: I did.

Jason: I did, too.

[Multiplex 10 theme plays.]

Jason: Thanks for watching. And if you enjoyed this, please like and subscribe to our channel.

And be sure to tell us which upcoming movie releases you'd like us to review.

Kurt [off-screen, vampirishly]: BLOOOOOOOOD!
