hey guys Kevin Kreider and in this video I want to share with you simple steps to
boost your muscle recovery after a workout the best way to this is the most
optimal ideal to boost muscle recovery after a workout it's to usually have one
big meal for carbohydrates and protein and less fat after you're done workout
and look these guidelines are really made for strength and special
conditioning specialist strength and conditioning specialists who are more
elite who are very on top of their game this is not normally conditions for the
opt for the normal person who just wants to get lean gain a little bit of muscle
and look better and have a greater physique and better mind and everything
now the thing is these are optimal what it means too is you're going to gain a
little bit more benefit but don't forget when you're working at elite level
especially Olympic level a little bit of benefit is really gonna take you a long
way so what you really want to do is
optimally when you're doing this type of training and muscle recovery is you want
to have simple carbohydrates right after you're done working out simple
carbohydrates will let your body absorb all of it very fast and replenish your
glycogen storages immediately and very quickly and if you mix it in with
proteins and make sure it's hydrolyzed protein something that's like way that's
very easily digestible not like casein casein casein is very slow digesting
usually takes about 12 hours or a 12 8 to 12 hours for you by you digest
tasting now the thing is if you had fat in it it will also slow down that
digestion so you don't want to have any fat afterwards now they're trying to hit
the anabolic window which is usually up to three hours after you're done
training it starts a bit down a little bit after 45 minutes but not that much
really it's not that big of a deal so just hit it within that three hour
window and then like I said the hydrolyzed protein something that's
easily digestible for you and then what you want to do is actually have a
protein drink in between when you're working out like something like sugary
with some type of easily digestible to replenish your muscle glycogen stores
while you're training as well and then have hydrolyzed protein as well and then
the thing is you can actually have it before you workout too
about an hour before so you're also not turning down muscle and you have some
energy and your glycogen stores are top to the full
it's like topping off your gas tank when you're about to go on a trip you just
want a full so you're running better and then one hour later we're not even done
yet you will have another full meal but this time protein carbs fats what have
you you will basically will be absorbing and everything because now you are very
sensitive sensitive it's called insulin sensitive and you'll be able to digest
all that food properly and then on top of that what you want to do is go to bed
every single day around the same time around 10:10 a.m. or 9:00 a.m.
choose a time and then you want to get up at the same exact time every day and
optimally you want to get eight hours of sleep when you are an athlete and you're
doing some athletic performance every single day in training it is good to get
about 8 hours of sleep because your body is under stress and when you sleep it
releases growth hormone in the day in the morning I'm sorry while you're
sleeping it releases growth hormone and you're able to recover better and sleep
is where your tissue cells recover same thing with your muscles and your central
nervous system that recovers during sleep and rest so that is really the
optimal way to do it now like I said that's really extreme that's only really
if you're a competitive bodybuilder or athletic athlete or Olympic power lifter
and you can still get great benefits by just doing the following as a human
being somebody just wants to better their physique and their body what you
could do is literally you don't even have to eat right before you workout if
you like if you practice in a min fasting possibly have an apple if you
practice for you workout in the afternoon or the evening have an apple
or a piece of fruit that's easily digestible that will replenish your
muscle glycogen and your liver glycogen so you can lift those heavy weights an
hour before you workout and then you can go into the gym and then have a meal
right afterwards you ought to worry about that it's similar effects because
you're still insulin sensitive but your body digests all that real food real
food not fake food artificial and all that kind of sugar
nice stuff because I find that whenever I have that type of sugar I actually
feel more lethargic and I feel slow and I feel like my body's not recovering
because all that sugar is just really it causing a lot of information in your
body and you want to reduce the inflammation anyway so if you're really
good to be anal about and you're an Olympic power lifter or elite level you
probably have more fruit based stuff because then you are basically having
sugar and replenishing it as well and it just cause so much information into your
body if any actually so for another you mean that's what you're doing then you
get like six or seven hours of sleep whatever you do with sleep and just make
sure you go within a consistent one to two hour period get up in the morning
one to two hours but the ideal is to be free system with it as well and boom
that's muscle recovery for you know protein shake no nothing and you're
gonna get similar benefits to studying that can that shut the green at one inch
to increase your performance to an elite level that's really it but you're gonna
get 80% of your results from just doing the way I just showed you right now I'm
not the Olympic but just having a meal right after you're done working out or a
piece of food before and make sure it's a lot of protein you know make sure it's
about 40 percent protein in there 30 percent its carbohydrates they represent
that and you'll be fine it's really that simple and then once you get that 80
percent and you want that extra 20 or 10 to get you to that elite level then
maybe you might want to follow those strategies but I can promise you when
you get that 80 percent of your genetic result the genetic potential you can be
super happy with your body anyway you might not want it it just might not seem
like it's worth the work to get that extra 10 percent that's a 20 percent

feel it anyway from up here all the way down through the arm or even down the
back one other way to go I want you to stay on that hand I want you to turn to
the right and just look down at your collarbone
so you'll feel a stretch more down the back of the neck and down into the
shoulder blade with this one switch can also do this one two or three times hold
it for about thirty seconds now we're gonna work on the lower back primarily
the pelvis so what I'm going to have Kori do is shift up in your chair and we're gonna do
pelvic tilts this is just to mobilize the pelvis and the low back
so go ahead I want you to rock back and rock forward
how does that feel? so you do two or three sets of ten of this and then we'll go to
another low back. one more we're gonna do is more for lat low back lateral side
so first thing I'll have her do I want her to put that right leg behind her left foot then
right arm is gonna come up and grab on to a doorway so you can do this when you
get out of the car or at the office when you're sitting
there just get up and go to your door and then she's gonna lean out pushing
the hip out you will feel the stretch all the way down through the side into
the hip if you're not feeling as much you can even turn your hips in how's
that feel so do this two or three times hold it for 30 seconds on each side all

Today we will prepare Chat
and who doesn't like chat
From young to Old everybody likes it
like Ghugni Chat, Aloo Chat etc.
So, today we will prepare Tikki Chat
I have taken all these things for 'aloo tikki chat'
1/2 kg Boiled Potato
150 gms Tamarind Paste (to make chutney)
Pudina and Coriander Chutney
1 Chopped Onion, Coriander Leaves
Sweet Curd (Curd and some Sugar)
Sev
Some Maida (White Flour)
You can add Corn-Flour or Bread-Crumbs instead of Maida.
Right now, It is not available so, I am using Maida.
150 gms Jaggery
3-4 Chopped Green Chillies
2 tbsp Black Salt
Salt to Taste
2 tbsp Roasted Cumin powder
1 tbsp Chilli Powder and 1 Tbsp Kasuri Mirch
1 tbsp Garam Masala and Gota Garam Masala
Chat Masala
Right now we will prepare the Tamarind Chutney
Place a small container on stove
Pour the Tamarind Paste
Add 150 gms Jaggery
100 gms Tamarind : 150 gms Jaggery (Proportion)
Sugar can also be added instead of Jaggery.
Add the Gota Garam Masala (Cinnamon, Cardamon and Black Cardamom)
Stir it continuously
1 tbsp Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Kasuri Mirch (Red Chilli Powder) for colour
Stir it continuously
1 tbsp Roasted Cumin Powder
1/2 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Black Salt
We will let it to get cook in low flame for 10 mins and meanwhile, we will prepare the masala for tikkis.
Mash all the potatoes.
You can also grate it
We will add masala now
1 chopped Onion
Some Coriander Leaves
1/2 tbsp Black Salt
Salt to taste
1/2 tbsp Chilli Powder
3-4 Chopped Green Chillies
1/2 tbsp Garam Masala
and 1 tbsp Roasted Cumin Powder
Mix everything well
50 gms Maida ( You can use Corn-Flour or Bread Crumbs instead)
Mix it well
Our Tamarind Chutney is also ready
We will let it to get cool down and meanwhile we will prepare the Tikkis.
Apply some oil on palm and take some masala to give it the tikki shape.
(Size and Shape can be improvised)
It is done, now we will Cello/Deep fry it.
Pour some oil and fry the tikkis.
The one which are done will will turn it around
It is done now
Place the tikkis
Sweet Curd
Pudina and Coriander Chutney.
Tamarind Chutney
Sprinkle some chat masala
Sev
Some Coriander Leaves
Some more chat masala
Roasted Cumin Powder
Aloo Tikki Chat is ready to serve

3 Simple Steps to Deal with Overwhelm - Duration: 4:12.
I'm back! After three house moves and an 18-month full house refurb project.
It was a lot! And you know what? I got overwhelmed.
Hi I'm Patty, I'm a Professional Organiser. During this busy period, it got a bit too
much for me and I realised I get overwhelmed too. I am human after all.
l learned three important strategies to deal with overwhelm, that I want to share
with you. Strategy One: Take a step back, just look at the big picture. What I mean
by that is: What is the overall goal? What are you aiming for? What's your vision
like? If you know what your end goal is, you will be clear about what you are
trying to achieve. Strategy Two: Prioritise and let go. Now that you know what the
big picture is all about, you are more capable of breaking your overall in
chunks, in phases or steps. With that in mind
prioritising becomes easier. So, every day, you can sit down at the
beginning of the day and choose the three most important actions or activities to
reach that first phase or step. Letting go becomes easier. Just clearing out, off
your calendar any activity that interferes with reaching your goal. I for
example, had to let go of my networking events, the time I spent on Facebook, the
number of clients I saw week. Alll in order to be able to
dedicate more time and energy to the refurbishment activities. Strategy Three:
Don't over do to it and ask for help. What I mean by this is: Don't let this become
the one thing that takes over your life and your diary. Sometimes, we fall under the
trap of thinking that if we work 12 hours a day on a certain things, we'll get
so much done. It actually doesn't work our advantage. So, what I did, was find
something that would be fun for me and would take my mind off that one activity
that was overtaking my life. For me, it was exercise.
I was very strict about respecting how many times a week I had to fit in my
workouts. This actually helped me just relax and feel good about myself.
I think it helped me be more creative and more energised at the end of the day.
And you know what? Asking for help is no sign of weakness. It actually
demonstrates that you are strong enough to admit you can't do it all on your own.
I got help by seeking an interior designer by getting another professional
organiser help me unpack and movers to help me pack and unpack for every single
move. It made a huge difference to my well-being. It's okay, we all in our lives
experience overwhelm. If we first of all acknowledge the fact that we are indeed
overwhelmed, it will just help us deal with the situation, to minimise effects of
being stressed and become more calm and have an action plan on how to deal with
this task that seems so unachievable.

So, I'm gonna make this thing for Tyler.
Basically, what he wants is; in that room, there's in that corner, he wants:

We'd already discussed roughly what size he wanted.
So I just needed to run the calculations of what pieces to cut.
Alright, I kinda hashed out what I had here.
So I got a shopping list.......
........ so now I got these, lets get to cuttin'.
This is my first time doing a build-in like this, and I wasn't positive exactly
how to do it, but I wanted to steal the angle from the wall,
and I didn't want to have to hold the thing and get it level so I just mounted
two boards to the wall: made those level.. and then set what's gonna be the back of
the table on top of those. Later I'm just gonna connect those two boards with
blocks that way you could take it off to paint it or something and then not have
to re-level it, or find your holes. You can set it right on top of those mounted boards.
I don't know if there's a right way or wrong way, but that's just the way
I decided to do it, and ended up working out great!
not much to it. 2x4's around the back and on the
outside and then you can see they taper down to 2x3's at the front and
so do the supports. That's just so if he wants to scoot up and use it as a
desk one inch less than the front would be more comfortable.
I wanted to use relatively inexpensive materials because he's gonna be doing some rough projects
he's got a button maker and a paper cutter and just a lot of stuff where
he's gonna be clanking around a lot on the top of this and he doesn't want
something real nice because then he'll be afraid to use it and mess it up. I
wanted something to invite him to work!
As I went along with the rasp; sometimes I'd hit a screw.
which is no problem.
so I pull the screw out. use the countersink a little bit farther down,
and then put the screw back in the deeper hole.
I like nice round corners on my stuff for some reason.
I just.... I just like sanding and I like round corners.
I had some artistic freedom with this piece.It's kind of a gift; so I
had the freedom to round the corners if I want or leave them straight.
I had, you know, the freedom to use the material I wanted.
This linseed oil:... Really you leave it on for 15 minutes, and wipe it off
most of it absorbs. ... Very pleased with it.

it is an inviting surface as far as you won't be afraid to work on it it won't
be afraid to, you know poke a few holes in it, or rough it up and ding it up
because it doesn't look real class... but the function is there:)
